Absolute crap. The front shooter is decent, but the back camera setup is terrible, the night mode and other camera options are trash, and I had high Hope's for the p30 lite, but it doesn't have correct fam bands, and with the old slow kirin 760, the camera, which was the selling point for me, just isnt nearly lgood enough to justify $350 midrange phones.
Pass on this, i went with p20 pro for 200 more, far superior product.

I have used a Huawei for the last 4-5 years and found it to be the best smart phone I ever had. So I decided to upgrade to the P30, with the Android 9 operating system. Package arrived and I read the small multi language instruction sheet and finally realized that I had been provided a small specialized pin to make the SIM card carrier eject. When the carrier came out it looked fragile and easily damaged and possibly able to be inserted upside down. I did not like the fact that a small specialized pin was required to eject the carrier. It is easily lost and since I frequently change SIM cards when traveling internationally it is one more unnecessary item to carry and lose. So I tried to get my Consumer Cellular SIM card to ride in the carrier in every possible position and it just would not fit. I read the instructions and it said not to use a SIM card that was cut or modified, mine was not either, it was an original equipment SIM card in my previous Huawei purchased from Consumer Cellular. So before damaging anything and realizing that what starts off bad generally goes from bad to worse, I packed the P30 back up and sent it back for a refund. I just wish I could find a Huawei with the features that I need that would accept my SIM card in a convenient location and manner and have the new Android operating system. I think it would have been a good phone with everything and more than I wanted but if the SIM card does not fit, and cannot be easily changed out without an easily lost specialized pin, it is not the phone for me..

The phone came within 3 days. All the accessories listed were included (charging cable, wall charger, screen protector, clear case, earbuds). The phone started up quickly upon turning on for the first time. It came mostly charged. I would suggest getting a camera lens protector as well since the lenses are exposed otherwise. :)

I've been using a windows phone for years, mostly for the camera and the fact that I'm not obsessed with apps and have the need to live on my phone. When I couldn't get anymore updates for it, I decided to shop for an android. This was a SUPER value and it has lived up to its description. It came brand new. If you don't like all the intrusion (that I've heard on here) remove the apps, don't activate them. You get 'intrusion' every time you swipe your CC, operate your computer connected to the internet or phone, no matter what you think. Anywho, this is a solid phone with a GREAT battery life, quick charge, tons of bells and whistles, fast, storage beyond what is necessary, slim and great viewable size.

I got this phone on Sept 17th and so far it's really good. A lot of space, fingerprint features, good camera. Works well with my metro by T mobile carrier and LTE is great.
It also comes with screen protector, a clear cover, charger and headphones.
I would highly recommend to a friend.

I needed a replacement phone, due to a swollen battery on my Huawei Mate SE (I discovered overcharging a cell battery increases gasses in the battery from a phone tech, so don't leave your phone constantly charging, folks). I could have had the battery replaced by a tech for $55, but decided to treat myself to a slight upgrade. I was very happy with the Mate SE, so I went to Youtube for reviews of Huawei phones. After seeing a number of very favorable reviews of the P30 Lite, I ordered this phone late last Saturday, and received it the following Monday.

I had debated spending $500 or more for a "high end" phone, but learned a lot of the technology in more expensive phones is dedicated to photo-taking technology. I'm not a selfie-addict, so I let common sense take over, and opted for a phone in the $300 range (I found a vendor that sold this phone for $259, and 2 day delivery- I didn't want to wait a week in the event my old phone died).

The phone comes with the described accessories- USB-C cord, screen protector, charging brick, and a very thin, rubberized case. The phone is very sleek and slippery. I'd suggest putting the case on immediately, so it doesn't slide out of your hand. I originally placed it on a glass table top, and it slid all over the place.

The phone has a massive 128 gig internal storage capacity. I put a 128 gig SD card in the 2nd slot. I can't imagine what I'd fill the phone with, but I think most of us have discovered over time that we tend to fill our phones up with pics and music. I'll have plenty of room to download Netflix vids to watch when I'm on a treadmill.

Out of the box, the phone was charged to about 56%, and was loaded with Android version 9.

The on speaker at the bottom is very loud. I tend to link to a bluetooth speaker or headphones for music and videos anyway. I haven't tried a phonecall on speakerphone yet.

The phone seems only able to pick-up the 2.5 Ghz channel on your wireless network.

Exporting all my apps and settings from my old phone to the P-30 was almost seamless, using Huawei's Phone Clone app (you can obtain it in the Google Play Store, for your old phone). This turns both phones into hotspots, and you keep both phones close to each other, and 99% of my apps and settings were exported.

By default, ALL your apps will be displayed over multiple screens. I thought I would have to spend hours arranging my apps, but discovered the setting (see attached pic) for "Home screen style" under Settings>Home screen & Wallpaper>Home Screen Style> then select the bottom choice, "Drawer." This brought almost all my app icons I had from my old phone, where I nested similar apps in their own "drawers" labeled "music," "tools,' etc. This saved me HOURS of work. All your apps will now be in a drawer that looks like a circle with 3 rows of 3 dots. You can then drag whatever apps out, and align them how you wish. If you drag one app into another, you create a- I think they're called "drawers" which you can then label. This helps categorize apps.

"Ease of use" is relative. If you're new to the Android world, going through all the settings can be daunting, and there's LOTS of settings under the hood. I'm still discovering many. I appreciate built-in apps, like App Lock, which enables you to protect your apps like email, and banking by preventing use by other people. You unlock the app either by your fingerprint, or passcode.

I enabled fingerprint and facial recognition to unlock the phone. The responsiveness is instantaneous. One trick with the fingerprint scanner on the rear of the phone: when looking at pictures, you can use a finger to swipe to the next picture, so you can view a gallery of of photos with one hand, instead of two.

There is a notch at the top of the phone, which can be hidden via settings.

I find the camera much faster than my old phone, and more variety in how to take take photos. The photos are crisp, and capture colors fairly accurately. Are they iPhone quality pics? No. The camera isn't a big deal for me, but it's nice to have a camera that takes good quality photos. The digital zoom works very well. Sending pics via MMS seem fine to me, unlike another reviewer.

There's no native internet calling feature, but there's 3rd party apps that support that (but you will be issued a new phone number).

Scrolling is fast and smooth.

I found one little quirk: When viewing Youtube, the video is about 20% smaller than the screen. You can go fullscreen using your thumb and forefinger to stretch to fullscreen. It may be a power saving feature; I'm not sure.

Huawei is known for its extremely long power use. You'll have to experiment in Settings to find the one right power setting for you.

There's plenty more features to be discovered, but at this price point, this phone is a winner.

Es ist wirklich ein sehr tolles und leicht zu bedienendes Gerät. Ich habe bislang nichts zu bemängeln.

Allerdings empfehle ich jedem, der innerhalb der EU lebt, die mindestens 40€ teuren Zollkosten mit einzuplanen, sonst wirds eine böse Überraschung an der Tür geben.

Das Handy habe ich als Geschenk gekauft.

Die beschenkte Person war aus dem häusschen beim Auspacken. Das Handy ist schnell und flott genau wie der Fingerabdruck Sensor. Das Display ist sehr gut für diesen Preis genau wie die verbaute Hardware in hoher Huawei Qualität war selbst überrascht. Die Kamera schießt auch sehr gute Fotos nur bei Nacht oder schlechten Licht Verhältnissen darf man nicht zu viel erwarten. Die Haptik und das Gefühl sind nicht schlecht aber man merkt, das eben hier Kunststoff verbaut ist als Ummantelung aber bei dem Preis verkraftbar. Das Google auf dem Telefon nicht vorhanden ist, sollte jedem klar sein.

Aber es gibt viele Möglichkeiten dieses Embargo zu umgehen, indem man z. B. bestimmte apks installiert, doch Huawei tut hier sehr viel im eigenen Huawei App Store, um möglichst viele Apps anzubieten, falls die App nicht direkt supportet wird, wird man weitergeleitet zur offiziellen App Seite wo man die APK herunterladen kann. Das Angebot im Huawei App Store ist sehr groß.

Am sich alles gut... Leider fehlt die Folie am Display..

Wer seine Daten in der Googlecloud hat und alle seine Daten Google gibt, für den ist das Telefon wohl nichts. Ich wollte aber von der Datenkrake Google weg, die immer alle meine Kontakte haben will, meine Musik in der Cloud speichern will und sich auch meine Fotos aneignen will. Zuerst hatte ich als Ersatz für mein altes Samsung J5 bei dem die Lithiom-Ionen-Batterie Blähungen bekam und den Deckel sprengte, ein Motorola G8 kaufen. Aber schon beim Datenumzug begannen die Probleme. Ohne über die Googlecloud zu gehen (nein ich sichere meine Daten nicht auf Googledrive) war das unmöglich. Im Gegenteil beim Import einer vcf-Datei mit meinen Kontakten hat das Telefon ohne mich zu fragen einfach begonnen, die Kontakte mit Googlekontakte zu syncronisieren, damit war das Motorola G8 für mich gestorben. Sowas macht man nicht! Also auf der Suche nach einem Telefon dass das nicht tut. Und so kam ich zu diesem Chinesen hier. Huawei ist kein Billigchinese und liefert schon seit Jahren gute Qualität. Auch Huawei hat eine Cloud mit der Huawei-ID und sollte man sich darauf einlassen, dann landen die Daten in China und nicht in den USA. Aber zumindest ist es keine Datenkrake, die das ungefragt tut und die Daten landen tatsächlich auf dem lokalen Telefon - es sei denn man will ein Netzbackup, was ich tunlichst vermeide, denn meine Daten gehören mir. Mit Phone Clone klappte der Datenumzug vom Samsung J5 phantastisch, alle Apps waren dar allerdings mit dem Nachteil, dass sie wegen dem fehlenden Googleplay möglicherweise nicht aktualisiert werden können. Aber das war mir schon klar, als ich das Telefon kaufte. Es ist ein Android halt degoogelized und das wollte ich jetzt so. Aber der Beweis dass alle apk-Packages so out-of-the box auch auf dem Huawei war erbracht. Er hat mir Öffi ebenso umgezogen wie viele andere Apps auch. Nur 3 Programme machten Probleme Whatsapp wurden die Chatverläufe nicht umgezogen, was mich nicht stört, da ich Whatsapp kaum oder gar nicht nutze, nur wenn ich muss. QR-Droid mochte er nicht - nutze ich eigentlich gar nicht mehr, ist glaube ich noch von Android4-Zeiten immer mitgewandert. Und Jodel wollte er nicht umziehen, hatte ich eigentlich nur mal ausprobiert. Alles andere war da. Klar noch so ein paar Kleinigkeiten waren nach dem Umzug schon noch zu erledigen. Und Clouddaten konnte er nicht umziehen, weil das alte Telefon gar kein Netz hatte zum Zeitpunkt des Umzuges, weil es mit dem neuen Telefon über WLAN verbunden war und keine Simkarten mehr hatte. Aber das war mir ganz recht.

Fazit für mich ist es das perfekte Telefon derzeit, weil ich somit Googledatenkrake etwas minimimiert habe. Mein Traum wäre vielleicht ein Fairphone 3 mit SailfishOS - aber 450€ zu 127€ ist halt ein Unterschied, Perfektion ist also relativ.

Nach einem Monat Nutzung habe ich dann doch die Nachteile des Produktkrieges zwischen Huawei und Google zu spüren bekommen. Ob N26 oder Targobank - Alle haben ihre Apps mit Google verheiratet und funktionieren auf dem Huawei nicht. Auch Carsharing oder Ebike-Apps funktionieren mit dem Huawei nicht. Ob nun Coronawarnapp oder sonstwas - alles was das GSF-Framework von Google nutzt nicht und das ist doch recht viel. Von der Hardware her wäre das kein Problem, aber die Softwareseite wird eigentlich von allem was in Deutschland so seine App anbietet nur für Google oder IOS unterstützt und ohne GSF ist es zwar ein Android, aber wird von den ganzen deutschen Produktvertrieblern nicht unterstützt. Nun hat Huawei etwas gegen das rooten des Telefons, womit man die Probleme beheben könnte, aber das Huawei Y6P lässt sich nicht rooten. Die Tricks die für das Honor gelten funktionieren bei diesem Telefon nicht. Es ist wirklich Googlefrei und zwar absolut und sicher. Die Daten gehen nur nach China aber da ist es mit der Huaweicloud ähnlich verheiratet wie mit der Googlecloud ohne eine Chance darauf einfluss zu nehmen. Ich habe mich jetzt entschieden eine Fairphone 3 zu nehmen. Das ist zwar mit Google verheiratet, aber es lässt sich rooten. Damit habe ich ein wenig Kontrolle über meine Daten oder auch nicht.

Der Preis wird wohl bei der Huaweipolitik weiter sinken, denn mit der Unfreiheit die Huawei für den Nutzer letztlich macht ist es doch keine Googlealternative.

Puh also ich bin hin und hergerissen was das Handy anbelangt, es ist mein erstes eigenes Smartphone - daher habe ich keine Vorerfahrung in der Bedienung und das hat sich hier als absolut fatal erwiesen. Von einer Betriebsanleitung fehlt hier jede Spur, die durfte ich mir ersteinmal im Netz heraussuchen. Der Papierkram der dabei ist, der ist in Sprachen die ich nicht kenne und englisch, besagt aber auch nur die Grundlegenden Dinge wie "Das ist der Ein- und Ausschalter" etc.

Intuitive Bedienung ist ohne Vorkenntnisse kaum möglich. Ich habe für die Einrichtung fast 10 Stunden benötigt bis endlich alles halbwegs so lief wie ich es wollte und auch die offizielle Betriebsanleitung ist alles andere als hilfreich, es benötigte etliche Videos von Nutzern und Forenbeiträge aus denen ich mir die benötigten Informationen zusammensuchen musste.

Optisch weicht es von dem abgebildeten Handy auch ab, es hat auf der Rückseite im oberen, mittigen Bereich nochmal ein rundes was auch immer das sein mag - die Kameralinse ist ja oben links. Habe daher noch nicht rausgefunden was das sein soll.

Der ich nenns mal Herstellersticker auf der Rückseite, der sich nicht ablösen lässt, lässt das Handy ziemlich dumm aussehen und nein ich meine nicht die Schutzfolie mit den Erklärungen drauf wo welcher Slot / welcher Knopf ist!

Besonders happig fand ich, dass der Empfang von SMS nicht möglich ist mit dem beigelegten Programm "Messenger", auch wenn man es noch so oft resettet und mit der korrekten Nummer des eigenen Anbieters für SMS ausstattet. Es geht schlicht nicht! Habe dann in einigen Userkommentaren zur App gelesen, dass das bei Dual-Sim ab und an einfach so vorkommt und war richtig verärgert, da einige Testsms von Freunden dadurch im Nirwana verschwunden sind! Wer weiß ob ich in den 10 Stunden nicht auch noch irgendwelche wichtigen SMS verloren habe!

Die Lösung für das SMS-Problem war dann eine andere APP zu installieren, falls es noch wem so geht, bei mir geht die APP QKSMS.

Was mich positiv überrascht hat ist die Kameraqualität, die ist wirklich gut und auch wenn viele Tests besagen, dass dies ein großes Manko des Handys sei - ich bin vollauf zufrieden und für meine Zwecke reicht sie aus.

Ansonsten lag eine Schutzfolie bei, soweit ganz nett aber ohne eine Anleitung wie man sie anbringen soll irgendwie bescheiden - hab mich da einige Zeit mit rumgeärgert bis die zumindest ansatzweise brauchbar saß und jede Korrektur der Folie hieß eine Stelle mehr die nicht mehr fest sitzt.

Es läd übrigens - sowohl per USB, als auch per Ladegerät - wirklich langsam, ca 10% pro Stunde ist mir persönlich zu langsam. Werde dahingehend mal recherchieren ob das normal ist oder was man da noch machen kann.

Auch fehlte in meiner Packung trotz des Siegels, dass wohl bestätigen sollte, dass es noch neu und ungeöffnet war das Headset, welches hier als im Lieferumfang enthalten beschrieben wurde und welches bei anderen Rezensionen auch beschrieben wurde.

Mein Fazit bisher: ein grundsätzlich für den Preis gutes Smartphone, aber für Einsteiger echt übel ohne jede Anleitung und dergleichen. Und aufs Optische bezogen wäre mir ein Smartphone wie auf der Abbildung und ohne sinnfreie, nicht ablösbare Aufkleber auch lieber gewesen, aber da kommt nun eine Hülle drüber, das löst das Problem dann auch.

I broke my new phone and didn't have much money to buy another one. So, I chose to buy this one. There is no trouble In the past 6 months, It is smooth and gives me no trouble. It also clicks a good picture for me. Although it is important to know that there is no fingerprint scanner, which was a bit annoying in the beginning. But then, when you pay 90 euro for the phone and its working properly without any trouble, you can make that little extra effort to unlock the screen. It also has a face recognition unlock option, which works fine. I am not using that only for my personal choice. Overall, I can always recommend anyone with 100 euros in pocket can definitely buy this phone. Great value for money.

Das Handy ist ziemlich OK. Der Acku hält gut durch, die gängigen Programme laufen problemlos, das Display ist hübsch und die Bilder scharf, allerdings will das Handy sehr viele Datenzugriffsrechte. Permanent wird man (nach Updates - auch gern wiederholt) gefragt (was nerft), aber immerhin wird man gefragt. Es ist robust und hat einige Stürze und unsachgemäße Transporte mit Schlüsseln in der Hosentasche, so wie regelmäßige Feuchtigkeit (Regen, Spritzwasser von Wasserschlachten mit Kindern etc.) klaglos weggesteckt (hab ich schohn deutlich schlimmer bei ausgeschriebenen Outdoorhandys erlebt (Cat)). Leider gefällt mir das Design der Benutzeroberfläche nicht sonderlich und die HUWAIpräferierten Programme wird man nicht ohne weiteres los. Es hat leider keinen Fingerabdruck Sensor, was bei schlechtem Licht nerft. Die Soundquallität ist mittelprächtig, also für Vorführungszwecke eher doof. Bluetoothleistung ist OK. Werd das nägste mal trotzdem n Anderes ausprobieren. Aber hey, das Ding ist sein Geld schohn wert.
