My worst nightmare - get it out of the box - instructions make no sense.
But I try to use common sense.
Device says 'insert SIM' - I insert SIM.
The Device says 'Insert SIM' which I already have done.

Barely bigger than a match box but it is just great. I used to tether my internet from my mobile phone to my xbox and laptop but my wifi signal at home is not great. This device changed everything, I still need to place the device in a good location at home but the difference really is massive. I gave 4 stars for ease to use because I had to search google for internet options to update my laptop because I use giff gaff mobile. I may add a cheap external antenna to poke out the window for added benefit.

Easy to set up but battery does not last more than a couple of hours. Says not to charge & use at the same time in the instructions but there is no other option if your using this product long term. But that said still seems to work.

Nothing to dislike about it, plug it in and you are away. Signal strength very good and its stable. Great piece of kit.

4 G reception on the costa del sol

Minor issue: manual stated admin password default was admin . Actually shipped with Admin password same as Wifi. had to look at on line documentation to find that out so I could change. Smartphone app worked well. S/w update was fairly straight forward once I set it as Wifi repeater

Si tratta di un buon apparato, qualche incertezza nel firmware identificata nella rimozione del PIN della SIM, tutto sommato fa il suo dovere.
Non l'ho mai usato esclusivamente a batteria, spesso vive collegato al portatile, quindi non so valutare la durata reale, aggancio sulla rete accettabile, funziona bene anche in condizioni di copertura non fantastiche (in LTE).
E' vero che la password WPA2 viene visualizzata sul display, ma non è un problema per me.

Il software andrebbe affinato, nessun aggiornamento presente rispetto alla versione di distribuzione.

Nice piece of equipment for travelling. Battery life is nowhere near as much as advertised sadly.

Seit 2 Monaten im Dauerbetrieb ohne Probleme.

SIM Karte eingelegt und erst mal am PC via mitgelieferten USB Kabel verbunden.

Per geführte Tour wird dann alles eingerichtet. Später kann man auch via Browser sämtliche Einstellungen vornehmen:

-Passwort
-WLAN Nutzer (MAC-ID Filterung)
-Verbrauchte Datenmenge
-Empfang
-WLAN Frequenzbereich (2Ghz und oder 5Ghz)
-Datenlimit setzen
-weitere Netzwerkeinstellungen

Mit dem Huawei versorge ich zwei Rechner mit Internet. Es funktioniert absolut problemlos, die versprochene Datenrate wird auch in der Praxis erreicht.

Den Empfang würde ich als gut bezeichnen, ohne eine externe Antenne zu nutzen (die Möglichkeit besteht)

Das Gerät wird bei mir über ein kleines 250mA Netzteil mit Strom versorgt. Dies ist ausreichend um den Akku geladen zu halten, auch im Betrieb.
Im Betrieb wird es kaum handwarm.

Um Datenmenge zu sparen, habe ich bei den Windows Rechnern "Getaktete Verbindung" eingestellt, das bedeutet nur die wichtigsten Updates werden geladen, die größeren Updates erledige ich dann am Festnetzanschluss.

I use this when travelling along the west coast of Ireland and switch between O2/3/Vodafone Ireland sims and have so far managed to get connectivity (mostly 4g speeds) in all but the most remote spots.

Have two sims product not reliable at Brean in Somerset. Therefore not as mobile as one would hope

Excellent, easy to set up and works very well. The battery life is quite reasonable, considering what it has to do, but is not wonderful. You wont get a whole days use out of it. The menus are useful telling you several things including cumulative data usage.

This Huawei E5577 was a lifesaver when trying to even register a new SIM card. This has the ability to receive text messages and they can be viewed through an app on the smartphone. The battery life appears to be reasonable and the connection is stable while travelling.

Love love love! Long battery life so ideal if you're trying to run an online business whilst out camping with the family.

Highly recommend this wifi portable unit, as long as you using right sim card for your area, works great.

Works really well. It enables me to use a different network when mine is not working. The battery life is appalling though. It only lasts 1 - 2 hours, which means it’s not really portable as you have to have it constantly plugged in!

A Great Unit- Pop in any SIM card and off you go at 3G and 4 G. No setting up. Highly recommended..Thanks.

The Huaweii E5577 is really good, but the battery is a bit of a disappointment need to charge every 3 to 6 hours. A12 hours battery would have been best for the Huaweii E5577. Sadly, I have to return it to try the Huaweii E5785as it has a longer battery life.

Plugged into mains so no idea about a battery life. Very neat small router. Does what it says on the box.

This was an pretty good product as a dongle for our away trips. However, we accidentally melted it on our HB hob. But due to recent allegations about how the one party Chinese communist state uses this company to collect information. I will not be buying from this company any products again

Not been able to try it with the aerial I ordered yet but with a very poor 1 bar EE signal still gives as good a broadband speed as BT can with their "fibre to the remote location outside the village service" does.

Useless on 4G. I’m sitting in Munich right now and my phone is connected to a strong 4G signal. This device is stuck on 3G. If I force to 4G it gets no signal. This was true throughout France as well. Will return as soon as I get back from holiday.
