  • + - отличное качество офисной печати;
    - очень хорошее качество фото-печати (рекомендую не экономить на фотобумаге, тогда и результат порадует);
    - wi-fi позволил избавиться от лишнего кабеля, принтер можно ставить куда угодно;
    - сенсорное управление (чтобы сделать копию, не нужно делать это через комп, достаточно на мониторчике пальцем потыкать на нужные картинки);
    - установка принтера проста и понятна, достаточно принтер включить - остальное он Вам говорит сам, что нужно делать и когда;
    - функции удаленной печати - в общем-то игрушка, но согласитесь, приятное дополнение :)
    - работает достаточно тихо (после Canon MP250 этот принтер вообще тихоня!) и быстро (опять же сравнение с прошлым принтером).

HP has gotten much better at wireless. The Photosmart 7515 (a bundled version of the 7510) is not much better as a printer than the last two Photosmart devices I've owned, but it is much better at connecting to a network, working wirelessly, and standing alone without much need for a PC.My previous Photosmart devices were a pain to connect to a home wireless network and keep connected. One of my PC's was constantly being dropped by the printer. It was like HP didn't know many families have more than one PC. With both older devices you had to set the printer up via USB cord and only after that convert to wireless. Yet these older printers worked well and produced great photos and pretty good text. They were acceptably fast as well. I've never gotten into the speed of printing battle between manufacturers. I honestly don't care if my 4 by 6 print comes out in 30 seconds or 40.I was drawn to the 7515 because of its looks on a shelf at Costco. I was pleased to see HP has moved to matte black finishes from the glossy piano black it has used for several years now. But further, the 7515 has a unique look, almost like a 4-story building in an office park somewhere. I find it attractive in a somber sort of way. The printer is uniformly matte black, with only the glossy touch screen control breaking up the appearance. The power button is nearly invisible and there are no other physical controls on the printer at all.What also attracted me to the 7515 was the document feeder. I've wanted a device with one of these for some time, but printers with document feeders have always had a true "belongs in an office" look and the feeders are big, bulky and ugly. Congratulations to HP for putting some design attention to a document feeder. This the "fourth floor" of the "building" I described above, and with its lid closed, it simply looks like it belongs on the printer and is not some ugly attachment. This is a basic unit, but it certainly will help with those periodic tasks of scanning or copying multi page projects. When you don't need it, close the lid, and it hardly looks like it's there. You will need more than 4 inches of clearance above the printer to open the lid, which serves as the holding tray when open.As I started to set up the 7515 I was expecting the same type of experience from my previous HP printers. I was frankly stunned at how easy this was. I turned on the device, loaded some paper and the provided ink cartridges and the printer went through an initial set up routine. It then told me (via the touchscreen) to install the software from the CD ROM. I did, and within minutes the printer was connected to my home network and printing sample documents. The printer produced a page with a code to set up my HP ePrint account. I was curious how this would work, but it was also flawless. I created an e-mail address for the printer and later checked out the service by sending an e-mail with a photo attached from my phone. The printer fired up and printed the photo on 4 by 6 paper and the e-mail message on regular paper. Slick. I also set up the eFax service, which for me is a great improvement over physical faxing. No more going through which of multiple options to select (phone with voice mail or without, with answering machine or without, separate line or one line, 4 rings, 6 rings, more) and getting the phone lines in and out of the printer. Like the document feeder, fax ability is something I want to have handy for those times I need it, but I don't need it every day. eFax will do just fine for me.I installed the Touchsmart software on my other home PCs and printed from each of these computers without a problem. I checked the stability of my network connection a couple of times over the first few days and it was always there.Both of my older HP printers had Bluetooth support. The 7515 does not. I never used it on either of the older printers, so this is another way that HP has simplified the wireless capabilities of the Touchsmart. The printer also has support for only SD and MMC and Memory Stick Duo cards, so that has also been simplified over the older models, one of which accepted 6 or 7 types of memory cards. Personally, HP should just offer SD/MMC. Even Sony uses those formats now.Print wise, the 7515 is as good as its predecessors. The photo quality is very good. I think text is a bit better than my last HP printer.The printer comes with a set of ink cartridges, which HP says you have to use during setup. My bundled unit also came with a USB cord, which I'm not using. There is a better than usual for HP printed set up guide, that really tells you everything you need to know. A more complete manual is available online but not on the CD ROM. The printer has the usual one year warranty.I haven't even mentioned the other "web services" which offer a simple way to print graph, notebook, and music paper, calendars, coloring pages, maps and more. I used these services on my previous printer. Some are very nice to ha

I bought the 7510 to replace an ailing Lexmark 4550. Print quality is excellent, for photos as well as documents. The pictures I've printed so far look better than those I've gotten from Walgreen's or Snapfish. Although I probably won't be printing dozens of photos at a time,I can see that the capability will come in very handy for those times when I want to print selected photos, and don't want to bother with going out to Walgreen's or mail ordering them. For example, if someone admires one of my photos, I can give them a copy of it on the spot.Scan quality is great; it lets you specify the resolution of the saved scan file. So, you can use a lower quality for things such as letters or maps, and increase the resolution for photos where you want to capture lots of detail.I haven't tried any of the more esoteric functions such as e-fax (and in all likelihood will never need them), so I can't comment on how well they work. For the basic functions of print, scan, and copy, it works great.In another review someone groused about paying $100 for the five ink cartridges. That is really a bit misleading, since there are separate cartridges for high quality photo black, the three colors (cyan, magenta and yellow), and a large black ink cartridge for regular non-photo printing such as text documents. If one of the cartridges gets low you can replace just that one cartridge; you do not have to replace all the others like you would with a single "combo" cartridge (e.g., if one color gets low, you just buy the one cartridge and keep on using the other ones). This is important since you aren't likely to use up all the colors at the exact same pace. And, for only a few bucks more, you can get the XL cartridges that contain a lot more ink, and will last a lot longer between replacements.NOTE: the lady at Officemax suggested I replace the original black cartridge that came with the printer with the larger XL cartridge from the very start. DO NOT DO THIS. The instructions in the downloaded user's manual specifically state that the cartridges that come with the printer are special "setup" cartridges and must be the ones that are used when the printer is first configured. If another cartridge is used, the printer won't be set up the way it is supposed to.The color touch screen menus are very easy to use; one thing I especially liked was how well the virtual keyboard works. It requires just enough pressure so that it almost totally eliminates accidentally entering the wrong letter or number. A very gentle push is required; the letter / number then appears in a magnified highlight for a split second so you also get a positive visual confirmation. It is much better in this respect than the touch screens on my camera or e-book reader.I could go on raving about the features and quality of the printer but other reviews have already covered them. So, let me now move on to setting the thing up and attaching it to an existing network. In my case, I was installing it on an existing home wireless network, controlled by a Linksys router. The main PC is a Dell running Vista 32 bit Premium Home Edition; the laptop is on Windows XP. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to quickly integrate the printer into this network. The only big problem was that the CD that came with the printer was apparently corrupted; after going through the bulk of the software install process I got an error message telling me to "contact the vendor". So, I did what I should have done in the first place and downloaded the software package from the HP 7510 support page.I also downloaded the user's manual pdf file at the same time. I would suggest you do this as well, and read it prior to installing your printer. There is information pertaining to the printer installation and network setup that is not in the skimpy printed little paper manual that comes packaged with the printer. And, as discussed in a previous paragraph, there was the very important tip about the importance of using the setup cartridges that came with the printer.Once I had the software downloaded to the main PC, I ran the .exe file and everything worked great. I turned the printer on and went to the Wireless menu. The menu screen showed my home network's name; I selected it. When prompted I input the security code for that network. A few menu clicks later lo and behold, the printer was connected to the network. I've powered the PC, router and printer off and on several times over the past few days; in all instances the printer has effortlessly re-connected to the network.Getting the laptop in the other room to recognize the 7510was easy as well. I copied the downloaded software onto a thumb drive and plugged the drive into the laptop. Ran the file, followed the prompts and the laptop was also connected to the printer.Anyway, my experiences with the printer thus far have been very positive. Hopefully the above hints will help you as well.

A FINAL UPDATE 5/12I've changed my mind about this printer 3 or 4 times. I bought it for its wireless capabilities, and I've had problems with wireless performance. That said, I've discovered that I can easily fix the recurring problem I've had with the printer disconnecting from my wireless home network. The problem doesn't exist with the printer PER SE. Sometimes, the router resets itself, and when it does, the network number changes. When that happens, the printer doesn't always read it, and when it doesn't, I can't print wirelessly from my phone or my laptop. The first time it happened, I downloaded a troubleshooter from the HP website, which fixed the problem but didn't teach me what the nature of the problem was. The second time it happened, the trouble shooter didn't work, so I called HP support. A marvelous techie (in India, no less, and still marvelous), connected to my system remotely and discovered that I had some conflicting HP software files left over from a previous HP printer. He eliminated that and then led me through the procedure to reconnect. He then told me about the nature of the problem, which was that the printer was failing to read changes in the router's port numbers. While I think that HP could probably work on this - they do, after all, build computers that read the changes, and there shouldn't be an issue with wireless printers - I can now reconnect easily just by going into the HP menu on the Windows task launcher. I ask the printer to print a status report, then type in the current numbers, and it's done. It takes 2 minutes max. The printer is absolutely wonderful in every other way, although I'll reiterate that HP could corner the market completely if they'd cut their ink prices by 25%.On the advice of an excellent electrical engineer, I have always leaned toward HP printers. My last model, the Office All-in-One 6100, was a maintenance-free workhorse. I would have used it until it tipped up its toes, too, except that upgrading to Windows 7 rendered it a donkey on its haunches. (Thanks, Microsoft.)Anyway, I had almost decided on a Canon MX882, but when I went to the local gadget store to eyeball it in person, I saw this HP. I didn't like the look of it as much as the sleek Canon, but the wireless capacities of the HP really captured my interest. In addition, the HP offers the option to use extra large ink cartridges resulting in considerable savings, while the Canon will use only the tiniest little 9 ml. versions.(To be fair, one of the Canon's black cartridges is a little bigger, but as fantastic as their print quality is, their printers are famous for being ink guzzlers.)Back at home, I found the HP on line at a fantastic price ($134.99 on sale at B&H Photo), and a $65.00 savings seemed significant. I ordered the HP, and I haven't been sorry. The set-up on my Windows 7 desktop and Vista laptop were so fast and easy that I thought I was missing something. In less than 30 minutes, I had this printer connected to both my computers, and in another 15 I had it connected to my iPhone - all without a hitch.The printer's photo quality is way better than I expected, and unlike my last all-in-one, it will print borderless photos. It's very fast for a home printer, and along with the ADF (a must for me), it duplexes! (The print intensity is automatically lowered for duplex mode, which is okay for home use but not the best for professional presentations.)Unlike other reviewers, I haven't heard any unusual or unpleasant noise from the printer.Another nice feature is that HP has arranged a deal with eFax that enables the owner of this machine to send or receive 20 fax pages per month at no charge. No land line is required. Nice.The digital control panel is bright and easy to navigate. It's also articulated to make it easy to read from high or low vantage points. For me, the available apps are superfluous, but I can see that for some users, they'd be fun and convenient. I'm an avid Photoshop and Lightroom user, so I won't be using the the HP photo software often, but I've had a look at it, and it's both user friendly and reasonably versatile.I'm giving the printer 4 stars only because I'm pretty disgusted with ALL printer manufacturers: they charge exorbitant prices for ink. To replace all four of the 7510's tanks with the extra large cartridges, I'll need to spend just under 80 bucks, which is ridiculous. (Suggested retail prices for the x-large cartridges are 22.99 for the black and 17.99 for each of the three colors.) I don't know about this model, but other modern printers will not allow you to print text documents in black if one of the colored tanks is depleted, which is nothing short of a ruse. I'm seriously thinking of installing a 2nd party continuous ink system, which over the printer's hopefully long lifetime will save a good deal of money. In any case, I'm reserving a 5-star rating for the first good printer that uses affordable ink.All in all, this machine delivers a big bang f

I spent A LOT of time researching wireless printers before I finally bought this one, which, apparently, has just been released. We have owned a long line of (cheap) HP all-in-one printers, with which I have been reasonably happy, in spite of a few idiosyncracies. We also own a Brother Laser printer (for larger volume printing; the graphics/photo quality isn't great) and a circa 2008 Canon Pixma printer (kid @ college says it's "junk"), but, I decided I needed a wireless printer as I do more and more of my work on my ipad2 - which meant I needed an Airprint-enabled printer as well. For the past several years I haved used a MacBook; our household uses a mix of Macs and PC's, so a new printer would have to work as seamlessly as possible with all of these platforms.Though the printer is for my and my family's use at home, I do use it a lot to do work related to the small business I own, including a lot of graphics and photo printing. Thus, not only was I looking for a wireless printer that worked well with Macs, PC's and ipad, it had to be highly rated in terms of all print quality. It also had to be reasonably fast and somewhat solidly-built, as it would get a lot of use. I spent a lot of time lurking in various Office Supply stores testing printers and was very chagrined to see how slow and clunky a lot of the highly-rated printers on display seemed. It also had to have a reasonably small footprint and be okay-looking. Oh, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money ($150 or less; I really wanted to be under $100) on this thing since, like many electronics these days, it is probably not something that would last for the long-term.As mentioned above, at the outset, I was leaning toward purchasing another H.P. as they have proved to be very reliable and economical for us, over the years, though each new generation seems to be more cheaply-built than the last...and the reviews that abound online are not great - except that everyone has always seemed happy with their print quality and satisfied with their use of ink. I did seriously consider and research other brands: For example, Epsons are well-reviewed, but ratings suggest that their print quality isn't as good as HP's, Canon's and Lexmark's. The Canon Pixma line seems very popular among reviewers, and is highly rated for print quality, but it seems to be well known that they are very thirsty printers...and, there is, again, my college kid's experience with what was a top-rated Canon at the time - it was not great; she could never get it to work properly. Lexmarks have really good print quality (and, apparently, excellent tech support) but I decided the cost of ink would be too high and I didn't find a model with Airprint.In any event, I eventually narrowed down my choices to some ubiquitous Airprint-enabled HP Officejet all-in-ones but I was bothered by all the negative reviews about reliability and difficulty with set up. I decided (or guessed...who can decide anything, based on reviews?) that people seemed to like the highly-rated Photosmart line. So, having become very frustrated with the amount of time I was devoting to this search, and the choices available, I ran across this apparently-brand-new HP Photosmart model, which only had 8 reviews on Amazon (but at least they were all good) and decided to take a leap of faith and buy it.It is a nice-looking (sleek) printer, not too junky-seeming, with a smallish footprint. I could immediately see, from the setup print test pages, that the print quality is excellent, as expected. It's also faster and quieter than I had hoped. The touch display screen is cool, and could be helpful for some uses. I really like the fact that there is a separate tray for photo paper and the printer knows which kind of paper to use automatically, depending on the print job. Initially, I was very, very pleased with my purchase.However, I had a heck of a time trying to get the printer to work with my Mac and ipad2. The setup process was frustrating because it called for use of a USB cord, even though one didn't come with the printer and it made no sense anyway, since I was going to use this as a wireless printer exclusively. I spent a lot of time with HP tech support: first with a rep via online chat to figure out the wireless printing and then on the phone with someone who specialized in "Cloud Services" to figure out my ipad connectivity. We managed to establish a link between the Mac and the printer using the printer's direct IP address...not sure why the drivers weren't working properly but I was just happy to have any link.As for the problems with the ipad2, the HP guys/gals determined that my Router (Belkin 750N) was not compatible with Airprint. I did some more research online and found out that this is a known problem, just emerging into the general public realm. Not all routers support Airprint. HP told me that Belkin routers, in particular, are a problem. Needless to say, this was very disappointing

Ужасно

I've been an HP fan for over 30 years - until now. I bought this printer to replace an HP Photosmart C7250 All-In-One. Out of the box,this printer is pretty flimsy. When I tried to install the software a message kept popping up about a missing or damaged windows file - I couldn't get rid of the message or use the printer, so I Googled the file name, and it came up as an HP printer file. It seems I was only one of dozens of people with this same problem, and eventually it involved a call to the HP tech support people - in India. A nice woman had to remotely TAKE OVER MY COMPUTER for over two hours to remove the file. (All in all, I spent about 4 1/2 hours before the printer was even usable). It turns out this file was a remnant from the old printer software, but couldn't be removed with standard software removal programs, & wouldn't allow the new software to be loaded. Huh?! Fine!The actual printer is OK, when it works... The photo tray has to be removed to load regular paper (or at least it's easier), but then that tray doesn't want to seat back into the space and is sort of like a dresser drawer that comes out and you have to mess with the slider tracks to get it back in? REALLLY irritating! I pretty quickly went thru the first ink cartridges, and installed the new ones (extra capacity) I'd bought with the printer. The first 4 or 5 prints were fine, but then there were obvious problems with missing colors, etc., so I ran all the diagnostics again (alignment, ink levels, clean cartridges, etc.). Same problem - weird colors, missing colors, etc. I ran the clean cartridge 4 times, and finally started getting OK pics again, but that didn't last long. I called HP support and got a really rude "customer care" manager - unbelievable! She kept saying that I'd probably printed too many photos and run out of ink, and when I tried to tell her I didn't think 10 4x6" prints should use up a complete set of new extra-capacity cartridges, she got really snotty, told me she couldn't help me if I wouldn't answer her questions (?)and then that she couldn't help if I "kept talking over her". I ended up telling her she was absolutely the rudest and worst "customer service" person I'd ever encountered - and asked for her manager. She said she was the manager and there was no one else I could talk to. I told her HP has lost a customer and hung up...I gave this crummy printer to a friend for his kids to play with, and bought a Canon MX892, which is a dream machine! Bye Bye HP!

Works great right out of the box, BUT...(read on)I spent several weeks trying to find just the right printer to sit on my desk at the office. Mainly black & white, some color. I wanted a sheet feed scanner and it had to work with OS X (The HP printer I replaced was no longer being supported).This thing worked flawlessly with my Mac (OSX 10.6.8). I opened it, powered it up. I already had a USB cord with my old printer. I plugged that into the new one. My Mac recognized the printer, downloaded and installed the correct drivers. I was off and running. (I never used the included driver disk)The good...It is pretty fast and fairly quiet while printing. The scanner works better than I expected. Load some sheets in the feeder. I used "Preview" to import from scanner. Hit scan and I had a multipage pdf in seconds. (Settings on the scanner tool let you change the output and adjust many settings). The interface is pretty nice, but frankly I do most of my scanner and printing from the computer, not the printer. Every now and then I do a marketing flyer and the ability to print 2 sided is something you don't normally see on a desktop printer...I never have to remember "which way do I orient this page to print on the back side?".I have not even scratched the surface of what this thing can do...but I consider most of those bonus items anyway. It prints & scans flawlessly. (I'll update some of the other features after a few weeks)The BAD.This does not come with a USB cord, so be prepared to set it up wirelessly (says so on the box, so no big deal)Ink: I read a few people say the ink was expensive. I looked at ink and it was about $20 per tank (ouch)...but if you take a deeper look, it is for the XL tanks. A regular tank is around $10 which seems to be par for the course in ink. So really its no more or less expensive than comparable printers.Humming: While the printer is on and ready, there is a humming noise coming from the behind the display screen in the printer. I put this on my desk about 24" from my ear and it is annoying. It almost sounds like a fan whirring in there somewhere. I was considering taking it back, when it went off. As the printer goes in standby, the whirring stops. With all the other great features, I figure I can live with the whirring for a minute or two every time I print. Just be aware of this when you pick a location.

Purchased from Costco. This all-in-one printer is excellent as other reviewers have posted, so I won't go into the same details. I just want to comment on 3 things that I don't see readily mentioned in the other reviews.1. When using the double-sided print option, the printer pauses for ~5-7 seconds after printing the first page to dry the ink before sucking the paper back in and flipping it over to print on the other side. Printing large double-sided documents therefore can take a long time because of this drying feature. This does not happen with single-sided print jobs. For my personal home use, I really don't see this as an issue, but I can imagine it will be for some others.2. It's important to emphasize that the internet eFax allows free 20x incoming and 20x outgoing pages when you sign up with the online service. A busy business relying on faxes will obviously have to upgrade the service with a monthly fee. I would have preferred if the printer also provided a landline port to send via traditional phone methods.3. The document feeder is very convenient, however, it can only scan one-sided. Two-sided documents obviously will require flipping each page over to scan everything.Overall for my home personal use, it is more than adequate and I think it's worth 5 stars for the price. I am not aware of any printer in the same price range that fixes those issues above. A more expensive business oriented printer/scanner would obviously take care of all those issues above.

Ужасно

Bought this a year and a half ago, replacing an HP 935c that I'd been using for years, and a Canon Lide 20 scanner. The software is awful - frequently pausing for 20 minutes, both printing & scanning, before completely freezing up. Every month or so I'll get a series of 35 windows of exactly the same error message popping up, warning me that the printer is out of ink (it's not).The cartridges are laughably small. With my HP935c and my modest printing needs, I tended to buy a cartridge or two a year; it took two cartridges, a black and a CMY cartridge, so that was affordable. With this printer, and approximately the same print schedule, I have to buy new cartridges - black, and five different color contridges, every 2-3 months.The print heads frequently clog - I just printed a 15 page document, and two of the color cartridges only unclogged by page 8, so all the gray areas on pages 1-7 are hot pink.And the printer has very wide unprintable margins, which means most documents have to be shrunk, or they will be cut off at the bottom.

This printer is a solid HP printer. I've found HP to be the superior home/small office inkjet printer. It does a lot of different things well. Also, I think the touchscreen is plenty big. Some people complained that they hit the wrong buttons, but, if you take more than 2 seconds to type things in, you'll be fine. People will always find something to complain about.The only thing I would caution is that you need to check your printer setting before you print a bunch of photos. You may need to authorize it to print certain sizes before you can actually print them. I was a little annoyed at that at first because I haven't had to do that with other printers, including HPs. However, you usually only have to do it the first time. But, you should still check the paper size on the Print screen before you press the OK to print. Sometimes, it will want to print a document on 4x6 photo paper, for instance. Again, I haven't had this issue much with other printers. However, it only happens occassionally and you should always double check yourself anyway.

Correct color printing is terrible, computer to print or copy to print.Touchscreen on left gets in way if you try to scan a document larger than the scan bed. It is higher than the scan/copy glass and cannot be dropped down out of the way.Old HP scan software would scan page once and you could select multiple areas to save without re-scanning. It had a feature to search and recognize multiple images / sections on a scan. With the 7510, if you have multiple images, receipts, whatever on a page, you have to re-scan the page for each section you want to save.No scan to word file (OCR Scan), only to PDF and then you must have a PDF to Word file program to transfer to a document file. Another thing to buy or try to find a good free version.Three step process to access scan feature software on computer instead of short cut icon that will bring up scan function. Depending too much on Touchscreen usage. Can not edit size of scan from Touchscreen. It saved direct to My Documents folder, no option as to where to save. Would have to edit scanned image afterwards, taking up more time to run through a photo editing program.Touchscreen slow to respond, have to select function multiple times before it decides to work.

I have an old HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One that decided to fade and add lines on my scanned docs. I came to the conclusion that it would cost just as much to repair vs buying a new scanner/printer, so the hunt began with...The Epson WF3520 I purchased about 2 days ago (from a local dept store) & I wrote a good review on it. As much as I loved that printer, I returned it to get an actual touch screen model vs a touch panel (which is what the WF3520 had).So, I purchased this HP PS7520 thinking I was getting a better quality/more updated multifunction than the WF3520. BOY WAS I WRONG! It had a full touch screen & scan to email (without PC), but that's as far as it goes. There was no automatic double side scan, you have to manually flip the papers & put them back in the feeder. Every fax test I did failed for "Not Using Correct Type of Phone Cord with Fax". I tried using the 1 cord from the box and it still failed. The android HP ePrint app is lacking basic features. The HP ePrintCenter apps for the printer are a JOKE and does not live up to claims of having access to Bing Maps & Facebook. For each app, you still need to go on your PC to the actual website for set up. Not to mention, the size of the printer is HUGE! Once again, I was on the hunt and back at the customer service counter doing another return.I do not recommend this product...

Плохо

I set up this printer to use with ePrint from my iPad (which after a bit of tinkering works) and as a second printer at home (after installing software on the machines, works as well). I then went to set up the "web ePrint" service which is a cool feature where your printer has its own email address (hosted on HP's servers) and if you want to print something on the printer from anywhere, you just send it to that email address and it prints.This is a "nice to have" for me but I figured it might come in handy.It's a bit tricky to set up - the original setup of the printer printed out a page with a "printer code" needed to register but I forgot about it for a couple of days, and when I went back to activate that printer code on HP's web site, it had expired. The HP web site directions on how to get a new code from the printer were wrong - they mention menus on the printer that don't exist, but this is apparently because HP keeps coming out with new models of this printer and changing the printer software menus. I eventually found a menu on the printer control pad that kind of / sort of sounded like what the web site was talking about and was able to reactivate my printer code to register on the eprintcenter.com site for email access.But it doesn't work.The problem of course is SPAM. If anyone gets that email address, they can use it to print all kinds of crap (remember Junk Faxes?) on your printer. So it appears that HP has the receiving email server set up pretty securely and the side-effect is - it rejects emails sent to it, even if legitimate. I've spent about 30 minutes playing with this and found this thread on the HP site [...] with complaints from many with the same problem.If the email feature is important to you, I'd encourage you to research that before buying the printer. It is pretty finicky and a lot of people are having trouble with it.Otherwise, the only complaint so far is the usual one - HP provides cartridges with just about a teaspoon of ink and a set of new cartridges cost about 1/2 the cost of the printer.== Experience 6 months later == (Update 6/28/2012)Wow, HP used to make such great printers. My OfficeJet 6100 is still running after several years and with very few problems. I would not recommend this printer. It's finnicky - the WiFi comes and goes and requires a periodic hard reset (pulling the power cable is all that seems to work) about every 2 weeks. HP bundles TONS of crapware with their so-called "driver" install. And even simple things like "out of paper" don't work quite right.Too bad that HP, which used to really OWN the printer market, has so muffed it.

Хорошо

I bought this printer after my wife and I purchased a new DSLR. We wanted a better photo printer than what we had that wasn't going to break the bank. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of prints this puts out. I love the photo paper tray. Not having to swap out regular paper with photo paper is very nice. My only issue that I am working through still is the color matching. At first, the prints it put out where way too dark. I bought a ColorMunki Photo to calibrate my monitor and printer thinking that would help. I have fixed the brightness problem, but now have a color problem (too much yellow). Yes, that is probably a ColorMunki issue and not a printer issue (I hope). However, it is still frustrating. I don't think I should have to work as hard as I am to get a great photo out of my setup. That being said, the eFax, scanner, and card reader are great. When doing big scanning jobs, I find that it helps to turn the printer off every once and a while to keep things moving quickly. Pieces of paper will go through the scanner very quickly, and then all of the sudden just slow down to a snail's pace. It think maybe some sort of memory buffer or cache is getting full. Power cycling fixes the problem every time. This is a great all-in-one.
