I am really glad that I bought this printer/copier/scanner, it was a great value! It was very easy to install and I love that I can print wirelessly! It is also easy to scan to a file or make copies, although I haven't figured out how to scan more than one page at a time-so my two-page scanned documents have to be saved as two separate files.A few drawbacks (that held it back from a 5-star review) are:-The print cartridges are a bit tricky to find (85A if you're wondering) and the price seems a bit high for the output. I am still on my initial cartridge, which said it would print 700 pages, and a refill on Amazon (HP branded) is around $57 for 1600 pages. This price is much better than directly from the HP website, but still a bit high, in my opinion.-The previously mentioned issue with scanning two page documents (but this may be something I just haven't figured out how to do yet).Overall, I felt it was a good value for what I was looking for: an all-in-one machine that can last me through graduate school.

I've read a number of reviews complaining that the Wi-Fi is difficult to set up for Mac Lion. I just set up a PC (Windows 7) and a Mac Lion laptop to interact with the printer via wi-fi in about 20 minutes total. HP has released a new driver that supports OS X 10.7 and, if anything, the setup was easier on my wife's Mac than it was for my PC. To the extent that other users have marked this printer down for being difficult to set up wirelessly for Mac, I would disregard those reviews.

Bought this printer to replace a laser printer several years old. Was looking for the Airprint feature to print wirelessly from my iPhone. Within three minutes out of the box, I was printing from my phone. I'm very pleased with the printer.

I bought this printer a month ago. I had problems connecting with my WiFi until a friend fixed the problem. It's great for printing. Faxing or scanning or copying one page is great on the flatbed. However the feeder is horrible. It is constantly showing a MISFEED error when trying to copy, scan or fax multi-pages!!! It's frustrating.....

Ordered from Amazon and was shippied with introductory HP 85a cartridge (as expected) that would print an estimated 700 pages. Printer started showing low toner after less than 125 sheets printed with standard text and limites small graphics. Have read reviews that the full 85a cartridge does not perform well either.

Bought $179 on Amazon no tax no shipping at PCRush on black Fri . It takes 5minutes to unassemble the plastic parts before the use. The last yellow plastic on the cartridge connects to clear 8inch long plastic follows by another 8inch black plastic. It thought I had ruined the printer.But there were 2 long plastic protectors for the cartridge.It takes 5 minutes to set up for each laptops. It was so easy to install with HP usb cable to all my laptops were Dell & Acer &Sony. I did not borther CD at all. I am very happy . No more wires.This printer is wireless printing to MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.3 as Feb 2013.

It prints and scans quickly and I like the sleep mode. The only thing that could use some work is the fax function. It is more complicated than my last printer and requires more steps. Given the digital display, it could have been designed better.

Within 20 minutes of unpacking my new printer, everything was communicating with my wireless network and I was able to print from any computer (or iPad or iPhone) in the house. No complications, no error messages; just plain good design and exactly what I would expect from HP. Works perfectly with Windows7 and Mac OSX and iOS5. Exactly what I wanted. The ONLY drawback is that there is no automatic duplex printing, but I'll trade that any day for a printer/scanner that works wirelessly right out of the box. Bravo HP.

this printer is great. It has paid for itself since purchasing it about a month ago. I have scanned, printed and copied documents repeatedly and I am still on the original toner cartridge. I also love the network feature so all of my laptops in the house can print at anytime. Installation was easy and again HP has made another great product.

I just received my printer today. Took me about 10 minutes to set up with two laptop and print. The quality of printing is amazing. No CD is needed for driver installation. Once configured with the wireless network this machine is ready to go to work. I have been using HP LJ 1018 for about four years and still it performs very well. I bought this one to add the scan, and fax capability. I think I love HP product due to their relaibility. They tend to out last and out perform other brands. I am looking forward to enjoy this printer.Setting was really easy. To use it as a wireless printer you have to connect to a computer to set the network. Seems like the cartridge is a bit small. Office Depot sells it for $71.00 Ea. I guess I am bying the Toner from Amazon you can get two toner for like $30.00.

This copier makes good copies, but the dial pad is small and hard to see--easy to make mistakes dialing. When making copies, it is noisy and has a "clunking" sound as the paper table adjusts. Paper feed and auto feed works well.

The printer, copier and scanner is overall functional.My problem with it is that is doesn't fully work with Apple products, but it's sold as if it is.What works: USB printing, WiFi printing, Airprint printing.What doesn't work: scanning.Neither with the native software nor with the OS X built in image capture, the scanner is not recognized. Googling for this has shown many users to have this problem. Sometimes the OS is blamed. Sometimes they say they are working on a driver. Anyway you look at it, this product is not fully compatible with Apple products, but is advertised as if it is.I would not have bought this product knowing this.

Quick delvery and good packing.Sometimes it gives error signal but does not influence using it. Scanning and printing are great. Deserve having it as family use.

The document feeder for this product does not work. Never worked even once. HP support instructions [...]This is a hardware issue. The paper goes quarter of the way and display shows the error "Doc feeder mispick". The same set of paper scans in other scanners without any problem.

If you have OSX Lion - choose another printer - cant get it to set up with wireless - i have tried everything including a few hours on HP site and forums. Seriously for the money and time necessary choose something else.

I've only had this printer for a short period of time. So far, it has worked up to my expectations. It's a little louder than my inkjet, but the cost of cartridges makes up for that! Overall, it's a great printer.

I like the idea of wireless, but this just lost connection too much. set up felt like it was going to be easy, but on a mac it forces you to create a fax line (i don't even use a home phone line so this became a problem) and on my PC it failed to connect about every 3rd time. i'm looking for a printer/ scanner that just works every time...this is going back today and i'm going to keep looking.

I installed their driver from hp website on OS X Snow Leopard. Wireless setup was pain and confuse at first, but it is too easy to do after a while. I found out later that I have to config printer after I install USB driver, what a confuse process!! However, all function worked perfectly, Scan and fax is the same as my old Laserjet 3055.Now, I upgrade my OS X to Lion. Suddenly, hp setup assistant don't allow me to config my printer!! I will try again later with USB connection and see.

I can consider myself have above the average computer tech know but I didn't even need to read the manual to setup this printer. The AOS setup worked perfectly and with the help of the installation disc I have mine setup in less than 10 mins.

This is an amazing product, every home should have one, it scans to email or PC, prints great and fast, copies and faxes, all for $200 or so, awesome!

Set up was easy, only took a few minutes. Print time and quality is exactly what I expected. Then did the firmware update directly from HP website, and with just a few clicks I can now print directly from my iPad using the wireless feature.

Pros: Good print quality, quick setup with USB connection, existence of support for Mac OS X. Excellent value.Cons: Difficult (impossible?) to put the device on my WiFi network (without WPS). The documentation for doing so certain exists, but it is confusing or inaccurate (or the support software simply doesn't work). I really have no idea, and may simply give up and put it on the wired network instead.
