I bought one in July 22 of this year, it is a good laptop, I play games of any kind and in very good quality, but I want to know if the 1 year guarantee stills apply if I opened it to upgrade the memory ram and to add a SATA ssd? I’m asking this because when I finished the upgrading the battery did not charge anymore, it still have 30 percent of the battery but the battery does not recognize the charger, I tried the battery charger with others laptops and it works so the problem is the battery, so I wanna know if I can still apply for the guarantee and if I don’t, I want to know where can i buy the battery because i can’t find a place where it is sell

Update and other downloads
HP has the most unreliable download server I have encountered in several decades of computer experience. I spent the greater part of an afternoon trying to find access to download the manual. I have tried to download the wireless driver several times and finally gave up. I have tried to download the update to HP assistant and ironically could not do it. A dismal feature of an otherwise good machine.

Great for those digital artists out there trying to use 3D models
This computer is a definite upgrade from my previous one that was always slow due to the low Ram I used to have. I'm fully enjoying this especially since I'm digital artist and gamer best because this gives me way more speed to work my programs

A gaming computer that can’t play games
I don’t like that they took away the dvd/cd drives, but maybe I am old school. It probably frees up space and makes it lighter and thinner. The battery life seems good for now, but after an update or two I believe they will shorten the battery life, like an iPhone so you will have to buy another one.
I ended up returning this computer because it could not play the Sims 2 game. I had a non gaming computer from toshiba that could. I bought another computer to replace this one ( acer gaming computer) that works great with all games. Why advertise a gaming computer that can’t install and play any game?

Came Damaged from installing ram!!!
This computer would have been perfect. Except that my guess is when the ram was installed the screws were installed in the wrong spots pushing up a bubble in the speaker grill. I swapped the screws around the right way but this is supposed to be brand new I'm seriously considering returning. Serious lack of attention to detail!! Computer works perfectly though...

Only had it 1 week keep freezing screen ...sent back and they caught me for £19 to send back ...rip off !!!

Great for the price
Got this for a Christmas present, and was the cheapest brand name laptop i could find anywhere.
Its no gaming laptop, but is perfect for internet surfing, doing homework, bit of MS office, etc.
A quick read shows its pretty easy, and cheap to upgrade ram if you need to.
Was simple and free to upgrade to full windows.

Damaged Audio
Arrived Well, when playing videos The Audio would have a screeching like audio malfunction.

Value for money
At this price range it's a very good laptop.Ryzen 3 3300u is performing well. You can blindly go for this. It easily gets stained it's the only thing that I didn't liked about this laptop till now. Will post a fully updated review later

Worth spending more in higher spec if you can afford it
It’s an entry level product that I thought would do the job for homeschooling rather than having kids have to share. Unfortunately MS teams, which was the only app really being used, just keeps freezing. No problem with same app in same O365 tennant on my surface.

Hey! I think this is a decent product. It works fine for its price range.
Sometimes, one may feel the system is little slow. And, that is a issue.
May be adding a SSD might help. Then, there is little heating issue. But, its only a irritant if you are over perfectionist. Otherwise, it works fine with most productivity apps like ms office, vs code, xilinx ise, vivado, chrome etc. But, as mentioned there is a noticeable lag. Battery is very good. Some others mentioned it is not good. But, I strongly disagree. Battery is working good. I don' play many games. So, can't say about that.
