In summary, if you feel lucky, get the monitor. It has a good display and a reasonable price. But pray that you don't have to deal with HP customer service. (see follow up comments below- things didn't get better)I purchased a w2207 about two months ago. I was very happy with the monitor (aside from the not-even-ready-for-beta buggy "HP My Display" software), until I had a problem: My monitor display became "washed out" and, despite every remedy feasible (all adjustments, re-installing drivers / software, resetting factory settings, etc.), I couldn't get it corrected.After spending over an hour on a chat session with an overseas tech, he still didn't understand my problem (to the point where I would have to repeat things I had already typed. Now he has it in writing 3 times...). After giving up, he was going to email some articles which "might help". Well, the only email I got from HP was apologizing for "dropping our chat session", which I had terminated. No info, no log, no follow-on.BUT, there was a link to email them with more questions! You just have to select your hardware first... hmm... I guess they don't recognize their own hardware, because w2207 came up as "not listed." So, I looked at the list... There were no monitors over 20", and no widescreen monitors. How old is this list? Now I can't send them an email through this channel (of course, I could pick another piece of hardware to get it to go through).This has been a comedy of errors on HP's part. I've had equally frustrating dialogs (or monologues?) with them in the past. They should take their customer service model from companies like Canon or Verizon, both of which I've been very impressed with. (My new printer is a Canon, because of experiences I've had with HP customer service)A side note for any HP employees reading... what happened to the old HP? The respected company who made the hardware (computers, printers, calculators, test equipment) everyone wanted? I'm afraid they've become just another poor quality mass produced commodity, no longer differentiated from the herd.

I bought this LCD monitor to replace a fully functional HP L1720 display. Let's start at the beginning:First, the monitor was well-packed. Setup was very easy. I used the DVI connector. XP SP3 recognized the new monitor and after tweaking my nVidia display settings to match the HP's recommended resolution, I was in business!The monitor is very bright and clear. I find this panel easier to read than the typical LCD monitor lacking the BrightView feature. Text is crisp and I am able to play games without any discernable negative effects.The size is sufficient to slightly increase productivity. For example, in Word, you can display multiple pages in full size without having to scroll.The only bad thing about this monitor is the speakers. I have mine set to volume level 65 just to be able to hear sound (and the volume in Windows is cranked up to max). I recommend using external speakers if you get this monitor.Overall, this is a great buy. Watch the price for deals.

I had the exact same problem as the other reviewer. The picture shows HP, but I received a knock off. Also long wait for delivery.

Pros:* very accurate color and sharp text* small dot pitch (0.255mm) for fine grain photos.* really wide view angle, almost like a CRT monitor* enough DVI,VGA cables to hook up two computersCons:* not very good for playing DVDs, noticeable lags.* extremely heavy* the monitor panel is not horizontally level when sitting on the base. The left side is lower than the right side. The rotatable part seems not accurately adjusted. Will call support to fix this.

The HP W2207 22" LCD Monitor was just what I was looking for and then some. I haven't spent the time yet to get the rotation to Portrait mode set up, but that's just a bonus feature for me to use when editing portrait oriented Photos. The monitor is bright, clear and is very sharp with good resolution. This monitor replaced a 15" non-widescreen HP monitor that I liked very much. The only thing that I have been disappointed about is the instructions for setting up the auto rotate feature to allow me to switch between landscape and portrait orientation and vice versa.I'd recommend this monitor to anyone who needs a large monitor, especially for editing photos.

I have had the W2207 for about a year now. All I have to say is the picture it produces it beautiful. Usually, when I have something nice I get used to it and don't appreciate it as much. Not with this monitor, I never get used the awesome picture it out puts. It also makes my linux system look really cool. On a side note, when I first bought this I was worried about a glare problem since the surface of the screen is shiny. Since I have had this, I have had no problems with the glare what-so-ever!

I have four of these on my desk in portrait mode, mounted on Ergotron stands. The stands HP ships are nice enough that I've re-used them to mount other VESA monitors in my office.The display panel is decent. Colors are roughly on par with my Apple 30" display. I bought this panel because it has the closest color and dimensions to match the Apple display.The panels have dual DVI inputs and come with 2 DVI cables and 2 SVGA/DVI adapter cables. The shipping boxes are large and sturdy, which reflect the build quality of the monitor and the stand. The monitor case is plastic, but it feels robust compared to some of the cheaper panels out there.The on-screen controls are reasonably good and make sense. If you're looking for a 1600x1200 non-widescreen 20", this is one of the few panels left on the market.

I bought a DVI video card for $35 and together they make a great picture.I did have some trouble with the automatic Pivot Enable software, and it is moderately hard to rotate, so I leave it vertical. I really like it for internet browsing; it's just wide enough to show most pages, and I find it a lot easier to read long articles. And of course you see all of a page in word processing. It's impressively tall, bright - the brightness is even enough. And it's much lighter than the rotating CRT it replaced. I'm happy.

These HP 92 black and 93 color inkjet cartridges are very light, easy to install and they allow the printer to print out good quality, durable black and all colors of ink on the page. They store for about a year after you buy them so if you want to stock up for your office or personal printing needs that's great! (They even come with an expiration date!) HP also packs these well so that it is difficult for the cartridge to become damaged during transit. These ink cartridges are also compact so storing them is easy.One thing that I don't like is that the ink goes too quickly. If you print a lot, you might even need to replace this cartridge every ten days or so. My needs are about 15 pages per week and I have to change cartridges roughly every six weeks. That's not good; although to be fair to these HP ink cartridges I am printing graphics.Another caveat: in a store you'll probably save some money buying this two inkjet cartridge pack. On some websites (ahem) the savings is lost as another reviewer correctly notes.Overall, the quality of the ink is rather good despite my one complaint that the ink goes faster than I would like it to go. Nevertheless, the cartridges provide you with the ability to print a multitude of colors on your paper and replacement is easy.Three stars for this product. These ink cartridges lose a star for not lasting longer; and this pack of two inkjet cartridges loses another star for being a little overpriced.

I'm a 12 year veteran of design. This monitor is great for home use, but for professional graphic design (web, print, whatever...) beware:1. The color gets darker at the top of the monitor. Pixel wise, it's the same color, but what you see is darker.2. The HP BRIGHTNESS settings are hard to calibrate, even when I have my Apple 17" Macbook pro right beside it, you cannot get the color to match. YES, I've used my HUEY pantone calibrator and software--it just doesn't calibrate like it needs to for TRUE color representation.For those two reasons I cannot recommend it for true color printing. Even for web and photo correction the color is too saturated.I bought this because of price. I nearly bought the 800+ APPLE CINEMA DISPLAY, (which I use at work) but felt it was too expensive for casual home use.When the time comes that I'm doing more print freelance at home....I'll get the APPLE and use this as a secondary palette monitor.

I bought this monitor here - at Amazon.com, after having checked out an endless array of monitors in stores in my area. I had discovered it originally at a COSTCO (it was only avaiable as part of a package there, and after some very thorough Froogleling Amazon's price was actually one of the best!)Not one dead or stuck pixel. Colors are great. Calibrates very well with my ColorVision Spyder II. Desk appeal is not the only thing that makes me happy about this monitor - it really does have great display quality.My only gripe came with the software (HP's My Display), which was extremely buggy at first (I was aware of this when I purchased the monitor, as it was widely reported.) As expected, updates are available now that have taken care of the biggest issues. Every once in a while it still acts up, but of course you have the option to use the monitor without the My Display software, in which case the 90 degree rotation of the monitor would require you to simply switch the display driver's orientation manually. My problems now with the My Display software seem to mainly manifest itself with remotely connecting to my computer, beyond this things have stabalized considerably.There is not much else to say otherwise but "wow!" I've owned this screen for several months now, and now wish they would be purchasing these for my office! I'm spoiled....

I was hoping to save some money buying ink over the internet, but with shipping I think I would have been better off going to OFFICE MAX. The ink was fine.

I found these on Amazon after I saw the color cartridge priced @$57 at my local Wal-Mart. Shipping was fast. The product was the same as Wal-Mart was offering but at a substantially cheaper price.

I use this ink all the time my printer is a HP printer. Using genuine HP ink from Amazon is great.I did order the three pack for 34.00 but received the 2 pack for 28.00. I noticed you had removed the 3 pack off the site. I was not credited with a differance in price, which would have been nice.

I have 4 other moniters, but the HP w2207 is the nicest I've ever owned.The speakers suck, but I don't use them anyway. I'm going to buy another one, because all my other moniters look sick in comparison.

Check the revision number on your box or on the back of your monitor. If it starts with "GSM" followed by 3 numbers then you have an S-IPS panel and won the "HP Lottery". Otherwise, you got the MVA panel which, while good, is not as color accurate as the IPS. I received mine on June 3rd, 2008 and got a "GSM002" revision so they're still out there. After calibrating with my Spyder3Elite, the color and clarity on this thing rivals monitors 2-3 times its price. I couldn't be happier. From what I've read on the forums lately, it seems that most 2065's these days are IPS panels so, if you decide to order, best of luck!

These cartridges are represented (and shown in the photo) as genuine HP. However, when I bought one (at that moment, cartridges were sold via Abacus 24-7 store) I have received a no-name box with a prominent "Remanufactured" sticker on it. Deceptive advertising at its worst.
