Perfect
Ones I figured out I needed to put 6 or more rounds of Plumbers tape around all threads it was perfect. All parts and connections needed i was able to find at our local HD.

Great box, you still need the controller
This is the control box for the various face plates. It works in conjunction with various controllers they sell. We bought the thermostatic controller and are thrilled with its ability to keep the water at the SAME temperature throughout the shower cycle.

Good item when installing Hansgrohe fixtures in the shower
We remodeled our master bathroom and have used all Hansgrohe fixtures because we like the quality. It was recommended that we utilize the service stop rough plumbing components from the same company, which worked well. Make sure your plumber knows how to install these, as many local stores do not stock or use this brand.

Solid construction, smooth operation
High quality construction, looks solid, and no doubt will last a very long time. Point to note, the ports are threaded, and not meant for soldering, so if you are using a plumber, make sure they know and hang around to make sure.

Excellent quality at a nice price
We needed to replace a 12-year old Pegasus shower body (from Home Depot) that was leaking and wanted to go with something of higher quality. Looking at the trim options from Hansgrohe, as well as reviews, we decided to go with this German brand. This valve assembly is very solid and works well so far.
Our plumber recommended Delta but we couldn't find trim and faucet options that we liked. When he installed this one from Hansgrohe, he said he's pretty sure that actual cartridge *IS* made by Delta so win, win?
What sealed the deal for us was Amazon's pricing which is much lower than the local plumbing supply stores. Time will tell as to whether this holds up better than the Pegasus but I am optimistic.

Makes It Simple to Install the Valve
Our contractor (who has his plumbing license) screwed up the installation because he didn't read the directions! We ended up having to cut out the wall behind the shower (in a closet in the adjoining bedroom) to fix a leak. If you follow the directions, this is a DIY project for the homeowner who can sweat solder copper fittings. The box IS marked TOP, but its hard to see the large letters because they are embossed as part of the shell with no paint or anything to create contrast, so pay attention to that. Also, make sure you install the box absolutely LEVEL according to the directions. This is especially important if you have, for instance, 2 levers on your trimplate placed either horizontally or vertically next to each other.

Super easy to install in the wall

Wonderful
Replaced an existing unit that was leaking. Easy installation. Minimal alterations needed. This one will never leak. Have been a fan of Hansgrohe for years and that will continue.
