RAM for the TR boards is surprisingly expensive if you want one qualified by the manufacturer.
Qualified RAM is simple plug and play. Cheaper RAM could work but, you may need to tweak the BIOS memory settings.
It is superseded by a newer model supporting TR 2 and 3 CPUs and even better features although may not have support for TR 1 CPU's. If you don't need TR1 support choose the newer model for some future proofing. It may become difficult to find TR1 and TR2 CPU's as newer versions are released by AMD.

Was half the price. I kept it anyway and it works great.

The setup is very simple, and the manual is good for first time TR4 users.
I use a 1950x in one and a 2950x in the other Aorus Extreme board. What I have discovered is these boards can be picky with memory running 4 x 16 GB sticks. In one I have Corsiar Vengeance RGB Pro 4 x 16GB hits at CL16. The 2950x system will not run this memory at 3200. I had to manually set it at 3000 and it’s perfectly stable. The 1950x is running with G.Skill Flare X Series 4 x 8GB at 3200 using the default XMP profile 1 with zero issues. I’m not sure but I think it must be the density causing the 2950x and the 1950x to not run 4 x 16GB sticks at 3200. I figure a BIOS update should correct this minor issue. For this I had to knock 1 star off of the rating.
I am vert pleased with this motherboard, quality, features, and the layout.

Bottom line is the BIOS needs updating. I had an issue with the most recent BIOS (wouldn't update) and tried F4 update which worked & also fixed my issue. So if you get a failure on the most recent BIOS try the next version. Also seen many people saying they've had blank screens etc after installing the BIOS. Mine was blank for nearly 10 mins before it completed. Don't turn the PC off! Let it run it's course.
My comment re 3 stars is more aimed at Gigabyte's tech help. I asked them several questions (including this one) and they weren't exactly great. I totally understand why others might have given up on this board as the support just wasn't there/clear. Hopefully this will help some of you who might encounter this issue.
Finish by saying other than these issues, the board is performing well.

Trust me - saving £60 against other boards was definitely not worth the hassle.
I bench tested the new assembly (thankfully) and immediately ran into a continuous re-boot loop. Because the boards and the 10th Gen CPU's are so new I decided to flash the bios to the latest spec - but still no joy. The assembly included an i7-10700k cpu - and never having any problems with Intel before I decided to return the motherboard and replace it with the Asus Z490 Hero Maximus II (Wi-FI) board.
Unsurprisingly - started first time and the Bios is a dream to work with. Both of these motherboards are too expensive but the old saying still applies - "You get what you pay for". The build quality of this board is poor for the money. Part of this build is a Gigabyte RTX 2070 super and again - I'm not happy with the build quality and the fan noise is ridiculous for the costs involved.
Sorry Gigabyte but I won't be coming back.

As others, bios update is/was broken, if your having speed issues on the network (im on bt infinity 2) then go to device manager, expand network adaptors, click the controller i225-V, select properties, select speed and duplex, change the default from auto to 100mbps full dupex will resolve.
