On my second z490 Aorus Master , first board had issues with the intel i-225 onboard ethernet, no matter the driver or firmware updates it just kept going Inactive, no activity lights at all. It would go active for very short periods of time,but mostly not. So I gave up and did an exchange for another and this one was smooth sailing all the way. I haven't built a pc for at least16 years so the fact that this went together so well, including updating the bios, then setting up bios, installing components, then Windows 10 and drivers. This board is straight forward and runs great with ram xmp profile. Couldn't have been easier and I couldn't be happier with this board.

The Gigabyte z490 vision D is an extremely well built board, with a good comprehensive manual for ease in installing components. It has some subtle LED accents, but not the overwhelming RGB that is common.
My one complaint is that I bought this board specifically to utilize my existing Apple Thunderbolt Display but it doesn’t appear to be compatible with Thunderbolt 2 (even with the appropriate adapter).

Nice looking board with a sensible layout. I'm using this board with an Intel i5-10600k.
The feature set is nice with plenty of USB ports and built-in wifi. I don't recall reading this anywhere in Gigabyte's specifications, but the included wifi antenna has a magnetic base. This is a nice touch and keeps the antenna in place on top of my case until I find a better home for it!
Pros:
• Classic board layout, makes building easy
• Built-in wifi
• Low VRM temps with unlocked processors - tested with my own chip, and video reviews with i7 and i9 show the same
• Smart Fan 5 makes it easy to manage your fans and their curves
Cons:
• Initially, the board didn't recognize the installed GPU, an RTX 2070. It was as if the card wasn't even there. My motherboard came with BIOS revision F2 and upgrading to F4 did the trick. Upgrading was easy with the Gigabyte @BIOS utility. That being said, it seems rather silly that a motherboard wouldn't recognize a graphics card.
• The extreme top of the I/O ports has a little bit of play - it noticeably moves when trying to insert a USB cable.
Other thoughts:
This was my second build with a Gigabyte board and I would certainly recommend it to other users. Setup was easy and fast. Its got all the right features for someone looking to build a capable gaming machine. There is even a subdued, pale orange glow from the AORUS logo on the board.

GIGABYTE has one phone number in Taiwan and Zero English speakers. The ethernet card on the motherboard is defective and will not detect a signal plugged directly into the router.

Been running this board for about two months paired with an i7-10700K. Opted to buy this model versus some of the AORUS Z490 models for the TB ports and other I/O connections. Honestly, I probably won’t even use them but they are good to have for potential future needs. No issues overclocking my CPU to 5.1 on two cores and 5.0 on the others running at 1.285v fixed, using AVX
1 offset and High LLC. Similarly, I came from a Z170 build with (2) 8gb Corsair 3000/C15 sticks that I bought in 2016; I ended up buying another pair during this build — zero compatibility issues mixing for 32gb.
Supposedly can accommodate 11th Gen/Rocket Lake along with PCIe4. I tend to keep builds for 3 years, so, at least I’ll have *some* flexibility in the future.

Not your standard board for sure! Has so many fan headers. Know if you’re using a AIO to plug it into fan/header 6 - Also comes with noise detection and heatsink...this is for Intel 10th gen...connectors are sturdy, processor was very easy to install...just another amazing Gigabye Aorus product !

Just like its predecessor the Designare z390 this motherboard is very nice for music production but it is also as good to use to build a Hackintosh as it everything on the board except the rgb leds and the built in wifi and Bat work on Mac OS.

First off, I just wanna say this board is gorgeous. Easily the best looking mobo I have ever owned. The right-facing connector/port placement is brilliant and allows you to keep wires out of the way and make the case look clean with minimal effort. I haven't spent much time testing it but I can say that the VRMs on this thing are gaudy and the components have kept pretty cool during use. My only suggestion would be to add more USB ports to the IO panel. That being said, I am very content with this purchase thus far and would definitely recommend this board to any prospective owners.

Gigabyte sums it up in the product name. The first Gigabyte UD motherboard I bought was for an AMD Phenom many moons ago. It was still running problem free 12 years later when I purchased this one although it was clear that technology had advanced significantly in that time. Gigabyte makes a very solid product that you should get many years of use out of.

Great board so far. Bought because it has thunderbolt and built in wifi/Bluetooth. Works great for Windows and other operating systems that aren't usually supported via traditional install routes. Just have to "hack" it together, but works easily following proper guides.
Had some issues with M2 slot though. Seems the board is picky when it comes to certain M2 drives. Possibly an incompatibility with different M2 firmwares.

Replaced an ASUS motherboard that just stopped working, mind you I have always used nothing but ASUS boards. However, after sending board in for evaluation and repair, ASUS responded that it had damaged CPU pins likely in transit, and they would not repair under warranty. I decided to make a change to Gigabyte, and as I stated with the build quality, the performance, price and the overall satisfaction with the board, I doubt I'll ever go back to ASUS. Great work Gigabyte, thanks for offering a superior alternative.

Aside from it having an 03 quirk on awakening from sleep and turning one of the fans off and turning another on to 100% when it does this it seems great. I just reboot when it does this obviously, but it is annoying. I should be able to wake the computer and continue normally.

First Motherboard DOA. Second MB, error code 'Ad'; cleared BIOS settings to resolve. BIOS updated to latest version. It does not boot from the DVD. BIOS keeps losing settings. Poor documentation. I have so much time that I will never buy Gigabyte Motherboard again. I would need to return this motherboard too. Oh, what a waste!

no nvme m.2 slot on it and so on..
may like to get something better for the $

I have both my systems running on Aorus Ultra z490 and it has been very stable. I am excited to overclock my other one and see what type of numbers I can get out of it. So far, I am happy with both purchases and as a lifetime Gigabyte owner, the quality is 2nd to none. Thanks for the board!

Product was defective on arrival, 2 memory slots would not work A1 and A2 and caused C1 boot issues so duel channel memory was not possible and I could only boot with 1 memory chip in place in B1 or B2 slots. I will just go back to using my old basic asus motherboard instead... If not for this issue the motherboard seemed pretty good overall over my old with one lots of extra features, but it doesn't work properly.

I have had great luck with Gigabyte boards over the years and the Z490 + 10th Gen Intel i7 has been just as good. 4/5 because Gigabyte still needs to work on improving their software. But in terms of hardware this is 5/5.
