Improved current tap.
I bought this so I could add hot water to my boys paddling pool and during lockdown choices were minimal.
I am so glad I paid a bit more for this system, not only is it easy to fit and take off but it’s actually improved my tap. The flow of water is better with the filter which comes with it and the water is fluffier.
Great for those without and outside tap or for those like us who want to add warm water outside.

Fits fine on a standard tap that has a 22mm fitting
Was worried about getting the right size fitting for my tap because it wasn't clear from other reviews exact what the dimensions were of the old fitting so that's why I included the photos to show the old screw fittings of the previous tip of the sink and the dimensions 22mm inside diameter of the old fitting.
Only took minutes to change over and no leaks!
The hose adaptor is a little fiddly to get on to the new fitting as you almost need to push it up firmly to the sink tap while keeping downward pressure on the tap so you don't damage its seal to the sink itself and then sliding the clip across to connected it but once you work it out its easier next time!
Great product and fits Hoselock products too!
Only took minutes to change over and no leaks!

dead after 9 months
Having recently got my garden turfed I was looking for a good quality 4 way tap that wasn't going to leak and have great build quality for my 4 hose sprinkler setup.
My initial reaction before buying was it seemed expensive for what it is but I had trawled through Amazon for cheaper alternatives and kept coming back looking at this Gardena 8194-20 4 way adaptor as the others just didn't look robust.
In use I wasn't disappointed, definitely doesn't leak, gives equal pressure across all valves, the valves open close dial is very strong in operation. The collar fixing arrangement to the tap is also excellent.
I feel like it's going to last a long time and will store away during winter.
update: 9/4/19: 9 months on and its broken. the casing is bursting from one end and the valves have become super tight..

Great product fits a treat
I’ve been looking for this for a while. I asked in a few plumbers and diy shops but they said nothing was available. Works great and doesn’t look ugly when the hose is not connected. Much better than other over the top connectors.

I don't have an outside tap so the kitchen it was! our tap was tricky as most of the rubber ones you could buy were too small or needed a different type of tap. I thought this was pretty expensive for a tap connector but in al honesty it fits perfectly to our tap, you just leave the metal adaptor on which actually worked better than our current filter!
the spanner works well to create a tight seal. I thought it wasn't going to fit but just give it a tighten. Putting the plastic connector on was a little worrying too, but you do need to force it a bit. I had it on full pressure and didn't have a single leak. works perfectly

Not accurate at all on slow flow rates
This is not accurate on slower flow rates. I purchased this to set up a trickle feed into my Koi pond. I could then set the flow and change the flow rate to the amount of litres per minute required to give my approx 20% of the total pond water volume in a week. Sounds perfect in principal, this water meter is not capable or fit for the purpose as it cannot measure slower flow rates accurately. I tried to set it to 0.1 litres per minute and the meter showed flow rates totally fluctuating from 0 to .5 and even 1ltr per minute, so did not do what is was described to do and did not work, so sending back. My be accurate on higher flow rates, but this was not the purpose it was purchased for. I would have expected it to be accurate as stated for all flow rates.

Absolutely amazing!
I was sceptical about this as I've had bad experiences with tap adapters before but this is fantastic! Replaced my own aerator with the one in the pack in 30 seconds and the adaptor itself clips on in seconds! No leaks at all even when the tap's on full! Would fully recommend.

Universal to an extent but some will run into issues it is a great concept
The product it's self is a great concept and I agree it did not work on this occasion I fitted it after about 15 minutes of trying to figure it out turns out it fits but not as designed to the filters do not fit so they had to be left out leaving the seal unable to do its job it appeared to work well until you tried to build up the pressure it ended up spraying from the threads I ended up building up the seal and threads with UHT Silicone that seems to have sorted the issue so I would reccomend either buying some plummers tape or sealing silicone this seems to have solved the issue with the seal but this runs without any of the filters

Brilliant what i been looking for
Little diamond best indoor tap adapter I've ever used works brilliantly just a little harder to install the instructions are not the best to understand or it might just be me. But use the black spanner and undo the end of the tap(which i didn't know you could do that) then exchange the tap filter for the one in the pack then screw the new adapter in. Sounds hard but it isn't. The lock on is so smooth and spot on.....the only thing i would say to the company that makes these is the Q reader doesn't pick up threw the packaging.

Perfect. Fitted easily no issues and connecting hose to the locking device is really sturdy and easy. Just need to unscrew end adaptor of spout and included picture (3) to show size for connecting

Decent for fitting to standard indoor taps
I got this to fill the pool up with warm water whilst we are enjoying this lockdown weather. It was difficult to get an outdoor hot water tap fitted so this looked like a good alternative. Out of the box, there is everything you need to fit to a standard tap. The included plastic wrench is good but could have been a bit sturdier for taps that have not been adjusted for a few years. In the box is an adaptor ring if you have a visible thread on your tap.
The unit itself fits fairly well to the tap but it does not feel as sturdy as I would like. There is a sliding plastic lock mechanism to hold the unit in place which needs some wiggling to lock. However once in place, there are no apparent leaks and it takes any standard hozelock fitting.
There are no instructions but the youtube video is a good watch to get an idea of how to fit. I leave the tap adaptor in place all the time as it gives the water a soft feel, and when I need to use the hose I attach the locking unit.

Very disappointing
Firstly there is the accuracy. I don't have another meter to compare it with but did notice that sometimes it just wouldn't measure any flow (even with the tap fully open), and the measurements at low rates varied a lot (I was hoping to use it with a Gardena micro-drip irrigation system). Secondly, it doesn't seem to remember the totals for more than a few days. I don't really understand why not, since that is literally the point of the totals – so you can see cumulative usage. Finally, it developed a leak within the first month (mid-summer, no frost damage) so I sent it back for a refund. All other Gardena products I've used have been very high quality, so this was a disappointment.

Ideal adaptor although a little pricey.
Had new mixer tap fitted downstairs toilet sink. It’s vary wide could not find any tap connector to fit. It’s 4.5 cm wide. However noticed it had aerator, which could be removed. It was 22mm and Male thread (screw on exterior of aerator). This product ideal. Simple to fit and use. It literally took a few minutes. Removed original tap aerator. Screwed in the 22mm fitting with aerator that came with adaptor kit. Utilises the plastic tool with the kit to tighten. The plastic tap aerator just slots on and off and pushing the orange black handle affixes hose adaptor. It’s ideal can leave the aerator attachment in tap ( its silver metal does not look ugly)
and slot the plastic hose adaptor on/off when required. It’s. A bit pricey but ideal adaptor fitting.

FAULTY
Total rubbish. Didn’t work at all. I sent photos plus a video to the seller showing this, and they say they want more information. AVOID! They emailed me saying, "We acknowledge receipt of your request, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
However, in order to be able to answer it as well as possible, please provide the following information:

- If breakdown, please specify the reason for the breakdown.

Perfect fit, no leaks
This is a great idea for a hose connector. I had been searching for one of those rubber connectors that are held in place with a jubilee clip when I stumbled on this. My kitchen tap is about 25mm diameter and unscrewing the flow straightener revealed a male thread, but I had no way of determining whether it was the correct BSP thread for this connector, so I just had to take a chance. As soon as it arrived I fitted the new flow straightener using the supplied male-male gender changer ring and I was able to fit the connector in a few seconds - I just hand-tightened it instead of using the supplied wrench, and it worked fine. This worked an absolute treat - I filled the kids paddling pool with warm water then used my pressure washer to wash the path and there wasn't a single drip from the connector despite my very high mains water pressure. Also, if you do intend to use it for a hose quite often you can just leave the new flow straightener attached, it looks just like a regular chrome flow straightener but with grooves for the hose adaptor to attach. Overall I'm very pleased with this connector and I highly recommend it.

good but not as easy as it suggests
First off I'd like to say it's well made and works without any leaks, this is once you finally get it installed, the metal adapter fits no problem on our new kitchen tap. Where I struggled was with the plastic part that then attaches to this.. it took a long time before I could get this to close and lock in place.. so much so that when I finally did get it to lock, I decided to just leave it on the tap.. not sure if it's a bit of a dodgy one I got, of if it's generally this fiddly to get attached.. overall it works so I'm happy and it saved me having to install an outside tap.

Indispensible when using a watering computer/contoller
Leakproof, robust and east to use.
I use an electronic water controller for irrigating a greenhouse (a "Hozelock Aqua Control Water Computer Pro Water Timer " amazon ASIN: B0011NT3QC - which I'm very happy with) and use this to convert my single stopcock to a twin-tap outlet.
I connect my water controller to one outlet and a short length of hose to the other.
The stopcock tap is then left permanently ON and:
1) The connection to the controller is also left permanently ON - so whenever the controller is set to water, it opens its valve and water is released through the irrigation system.
2) The connection with a short lenth of hose attached is normally OFF. I turn on when I want to fill a watering can or bucket or whatever.
Having written that description it now seems complicated but it is actually bery simple and very obvious in prractice.
And finally, I also hang a big red "do not turn off" sign on the stopcock so that none of my 'helpers' is ever tempted to turn it off.

Easy to install
I purchased this tap adapter to use in conjunction with a Karcher jet wash.
It was very easy to install, stays connected and does the job.
Having seen some more pricier alternatives for sale online, for the price, this little accessory is definitely worth it.
I could not have been happier with this purchase.

Didn't work
I really thought I'd solved the problem of fixing a hose on my new kitchen taps! I unpacked it and thought finally, as I'd spent ages looking! Sadly, the plastic 'wrench' was not able to turn my tap head, at all. I tried every tap in my house in case it was just my kitchen tap, it didn't manage to turn any. So I've wasted my money. I've torn the packaging as I had every confidence it would work so I can't return it.
I can't remember the last time I wrote a negative review but for this I had no choice as I'm left with something I can't use.

Mess free solution to extend hose reach
I don’t know why I didn’t get this earlier - shuttling back and forth to the front garden with a watering can because the hose isn’t quite long enough is a mug’s game. This little gadget has it sorted. The connection from the standard plastic hose connector works brilliantly. Click it on to the tap adapter and it’s sorted.
I found it a bit fiddly to fit. Dismantle tap (easy) and replace the standard part of your tap with the one in the pack. All good so far. After that I thought the instructions were poor and I’ve definitely got some parts left over! I can’t get the washers to fit but hey who cares it works, it doesn’t leak.....job done.
I’d recommend this to anyone, just don’t beat yourself up if fitting it leaves you with some extra spare parts.

Very convenient connector for indoor taps
First of all word of warning. This is not a universal connector. This is more or less universal for modern taps. I happened to have an old one in the kitchen and the aerator hole was a completely different size. That caused me to buy a new tap and install it and it works. For mine tap, it was a bit difficult to get the aerator out, but it worked in the end. This nice set comes with attachment nozzle for two standard sizes of modern taps. And as I alluded it screws and effectively replaces aerator with extension and new aerator included in this set.
With the plumbing tasks installing this thing took about three minutes. I bought this at a discount, which was a very good price. The quality of the product looks good sturdy and shiny.

Great if you need precise metering
I use this water meter for filling the fresh water tank on my motorhome. The tank is 100 litres but is so easy to overfill as the on-board gauge isn't so accurate. Using this water meter, filling of the tank is so straightforward. It comes with standard hose fittings and I simply fit it onto the campsite tap in a second or two before connecting my hose. I fill to 90 litres and shut off the tap - no more guesswork and no more annoying overflows. Perfect.

Best Water distributor ever.
Gardena product are a little more pricey than many other branded names, but....... they are good. It works first time, everything fits and works twice as well.. I am really impressed with this 4 Channel Water Distributor.
1. Good tight fit - no leaks- first time
2. Two watering computers ( 1 Gardena and one other well known brand) attached fit and works well.
3. No loss of water pressure when using any one of the outlets. Had that with Hozelock

Control Flow
I like the idea that I can monitor the amount of water I use when watering my garden. This item is perfect in this way, assuming that it is fairly accurate, which I cannot test. Still it gives me a very good idea of the volume used. Unfortunately, as a previous reviewer has pointed it out, the item does leak a little. This does not stop me using it as I save the leaked water in the watering can. I would have given a 5* if it had not leaked. Still worth it.

Great water sprayer!
This is a great water sprayer. It has great options including a drip option and the ability to actually control the water flow from the sprayer. This is something all sprayers should do but most don't. But it really does. More expensive but feels well made and makes watering a pleasure. Should last many years.

Much better than Hozelock alternative
I purchased the Hozelock tap adapter months ago, this device slides over the top and using a jubilee clip it is fastened to the tap. I used it a number of times, but it would pop off randomly. The Gardena version actually screws onto the tap replacing the nozzle which is there, to be honest the adapter is nice enough you could even leave it on the tap at all times. I've used this a few times now, and I must say I have far more confidence in it's ability to stay connected than I do for the Hozelock version.

Fantastic Quality, very happy with this and I am very pleased that I shouldn't need to buy a new one each year for awhile like I have with inferior brands.
Highly recommend buying more of the Quick Connects if you don't have any and have multiple hoses or sprinklers.

These are essential to know exactly how much water is in your pond.
We inherited an unusual kidney bean shape Pond with the house we purchased. The estimate by the man at the local Koi Centre was way off, he calculated our pond to be 12000 litres. After cleaning the pond and refilling with this water meter fitted on the end of the hose it turns out the pond is just over half the size at 6300 litres!
Now the correct amount of tap water dechlorinator and medicines can be added to the water with confidence that the fish are not going to be harmed.

Gardena hose nozzle
This works very well, and I'm pleased with all the functions and the trigger lock. Would have given it 5 stars if it had a couple more jet options. I am a fan of the Gardena quick release attachments, and I like the ability to pop off the nozzle and snap the hose onto the sprinkler.

Best indoor connector I've used!!
For years I used another connection. Had untold slips and the kitchen getting soaked as the hose slipped off the tap connection. The jubilee clip got tightened and tightened over and over, reducing the tap water pressure so it didn't slide of the tap!.... Until I stumbk d across this on Amazon, it's a synch to install and doesn't affect the water flowing on a day to day basis. The connection is surprisingly stronger than it looks but since installing I can water the garden on full power without filling the kitchen floor with water. You can't go wrong! Order one now 🤦🏾♂️👍🏽

Love this multi-purpose sprayer
Love this multi-purpose sprayer. I am a fan of Gardena products now. I have two sprinklers and now this sprayer. Highly recommend it. Settings work well, the best mister from a spray nozzle I've seen to date. The ease of switching out pieces makes life much easier. Worth the money!

Considering i had been struggling to find some that fitted to my Kitchen mixer tape so much so i thought i may have to get a plumber to put and exterior tape on which is no easy fix as it could have to be pulled from the mains directly..
However in desperation i bought this as well as about 4 others and this fitted the female thread straight away, still put PTF plumbers tape on regardless just for complete reassurance.
Very happy with this and can be left all year as it has a filtered head as did the original old one.

Gardena watering tools work!
The quick connectors work well. Efficient, no leaks. The spray nozzles glide and set into place easily delivering water at continuous rates by selection.

Fantastic - works perfectly
The water meter is simple to set up and simple to use; and so i'll keep my review brief.
- It just fits neatly between the tap and your hosepipe (see photo for the standard fitting that it comes with)
- The big advantage for me is that it has shown me how much water I waste on washing the car and watering plants. I have had it 12 months now, and this little device has really made me reduce my water usage by about 30 - 40%. Purely for environmental concerns it's a winner ; but one day when water metering reaches my neighbourhood, this will undoubtedly have me operating on a lower water budget.
- there is only 1 button to press, and it cycles you round the 4 readings.

Great, but needs an extra rubber o-ring.
I really like this product. It looks completely normal on the tap, when the plastic attachment isn't on. The plastic piece is easy to clip on and remove. It's probably the point where it will fail, but it doesn't feel flimsy, so hopefully it'll work for a good long time.
I had a pretty serious issue with the installation which deserves comment, however. The following all relates to using the male screw. That is, without the screw-on ring that converts it to a female fitting. With the spout piece firmly screwed in water leaked in significant amounts through the screw threads, even to the extent where some water would leak without a hose attached. Even a reasonable amount of PTFE tape couldn't fix this.
What it took to fix this was a rubber o-ring. Interestingly there is a space that just happens to be perfect for such an o-ring. So perfect it can't be just a coincidence. I salvaged the o-ring from the piece I removed from the tap to make space for the connector and now it works great. But I really do think an o-ring should have been included.

Handle breaks less than a year for water on / off
Had this product for less than a year and it stopped working. The handle to squeeze water on / off doesn’t work. Water just stays on. Easy enough to use but I would have expected more form a premium brand. Is there a warranty or something???

I needed to add a second timer and have a spare to fill watering cans. Looking at what was available this seemed to be best option, allowing enough space for the watering timers. As you can see it is great, does what it's supposed to do.
The only niggle is that the connection to the tap needs retightening occasionally as it can become loose and start to drip. However, that has only happened twice and I don't think it stops it having an overall five star review.

The electronics and the flow meter work, but my unit had an internal leak along a joint.
Unfortunately the unit itself leaked, spraying water everywhere. At first I thought it was the screw fitting for the hose attachment, but actually it was an internal plastic to plastic joint line that perhaps wasn't fully sealed at point of manufacture. There's a join presumably because the little internal flow propeller unit has to be fitted into the flow pipe at manufacture and then clipped into place. So, a weak point in the unit. Apart from that the flow meter worked and the electronics worked. Maybe I was just unlucky with this particular unit. One star only because it had to be returned.

Be weary as does not connect to Any home Tap
Absolutely useless unless you have the inter changing equipment and adaptors. The product is described as easily attaching to any kitchen home tap - but it does not do this job?
It even has a picture showing how it's easily meant to attack but I couldn't see any method for it to attach.

Absolutely brilliant!
I've been trying for years to find an attachment for the sink. Have used the adjustable one but it bursts off under pressure and standard one are a hair off the size of my tap. This one is brilliant. It fits perfectly on and connects to the hose perfectly. I've only used to water the garden once but it didn't burst off under pressure. The attachment (grey and orange) comes off but the adaptor has an aerator so you leave it on and it doesn't look different to the normal tap. I'm already recommending it to my neighbor.

Disappointing ...
As this was "Recommended by Amazon' I decided to buy this connector. It arrived next day but I was really disappointed with how cheap it felt and wondered how long it would last ... it's hardly inexpensive. When I attached it to my tap it immediately leaked quite badly. I checked the washer and reconnected but I couldn't stop it leaking. Disappointing product and it has been returned for a refund and I've bought a brass replacement which I'm very happy with.

Wrong thread spacing for Older British taps
Although this appears to be well built and sturdy, unfortunately the thread size was not compatible with my 15 year old British kitchen mixer tap, which is not really that old. The thread diameter is 24mm as expected, but as can be seen in the photo, the thread spacing is finer than that of the existing aerator, and hence incompatible with the existing tap. In practice, when trying to fit it, the adapter does about a turn before getting stuck and not turning any more. I have read in a quite a few reviews that this needs silicone or PTFE tape. I guess this is only because of the incompatibility. With the washer supplied, if the threads matched, there would have been no leaks. I have just ordered a Hozelock equivalent (though less sophisticated), but hoping the British-made-ness would address the incompatibility issue, otherwise silicone and PTFE it is! Ultimately this is advertised as compatible with British taps with the adaptors supplied. It is not so, and hence my low rating.

Very good, really
Very simple to use, and very practical. I left the faucet with the tip, so now I can just flip in the adapter in a second.
I use mine for the small garden I have, but would also advise this for those who have aquariums, as it makes it easy and mess-free to change the water.
