I use this mainly for photography but when I do use it for video, they are just the bomb.

I switched from Sony Alpha a600x and A7RIV. I can tell you that Fuji lenses are way more compact and they are laser sharp. I could not be happier.

The biggest quirks with the camera is that it tries to hunt white balance more than my Sony’s did. A fix for this is just lock the white balance and adjust it in post assuming you have a grey card. Another issue is that the camera gets confused with the exposure setting in complex situations like sunsets and shooting a picture of a person in front of the sun. You will want to lock in your exposure using the AEL lock button. Note that you can configure this to be latched as in press once and it stays locked until pressed again. Definitely do this in the settings.

Other than that, dual USB slots, Fuji JPEG color profiles, face/eye detection, slow/fast/HDR/bracket/slomo shooting and of course 4K video with IBIS. What is not to love about this camera?

I don't know how else to describe it, it's just an amazing camera that is a blast to use and shoot. It's now my on the go everywhere camera. It's also become my sports/wildlife camera due to its incredibly fast 30FPS in crop e shutter mode. I will post more to the review as I continue to use it.

All the attached pictures were taken with the 16-80 f/4 kit lens.

Very nice camera. IBIS is close to my Olympus bodies. Fast focus. Good low light. Can actually transfer an image to my phone before I die. 16-80 is nice. The corners are okay at 16 but if you want them in focus you have to focus there. I think the field is pretty curved.

I started with Nikon FM2, F3, D90, Canon EOS, MAMIYA 645,... now XT4. Technology improvement is so amazing.
Although I knew the manuals accompanied with will be thick I feel it's time consuming just to figure out each function on this complicate camera. Hopefully my son will appreciate all my collections. Thumps up!

Now that I have had time to really run this camera through it's "paces", I have found that it takes the best pictures (in terms of focus and color accuracy) that I have ever seen in a non-cinema camera. Most professional photographers take the SD cards out and use a card reader to import the pictures and video into a computer. It will also send your data to your phone but plugging it into a computer and downloading the data that way is problematic at best. Other than that one minor problem, I highly recommend this camera!

Fast, crisp, sharp, good weight, perfect size for larger hands. Every shot is gorgeous.

My favorite thing is the film simulations and the fact that you can find recipes online that mimic other films that people have made.

Fuji ticks off all of the boxes on this one. User friendly, flippy screen, better grip, IBIS (in body image stabilization), features too numerous to list! I went from Canon film to Rebels through 5D Mark III, to Sony A7r, to Fuji x-t1, xt-3 (which was a winner) and now the creme-de-la-creme, the Fuji x-t4!

So This is not a final review but I wanted to share my experience..I had ordered the camera sometime last week and finally received it last night. The moment I pulled the camera out of the box I could hear/feel this rattling sound inside of it, almost like something is loose or broke inside. Since this was my first Fuji camera I wasn’t sure if that’s a Fuji thing or not so today I called Fuji support and told them what’s going on and their answer was nope that sound is not normal you should return it. What’s weird is the camera is functioning fine and taking pictures. It just sucks that I gotta send and have to wait again to order another one but it is what it is.
Amazon though immediately approved the return request so that’s amazing on their part that’s why I’ll always shop from amazon considering their great service.
Contacted photosavings to see if they could just replace the item instead of refunding it, I’ll update my review later.

About as good as gets. The best hybrid apps-c camera you can get for both video and stills right now.

Arrived with a dead pixel on sensor, the autofocus really does struggle very much, the picture quality although good- was pretty much useless because of the big white dead pixel... this product is basically a hit or miss. It tries to be the best but you’re gonna have to work around a lot of nuances. Also I haven’t gotten my refund for this, it’s been delivered and everything and no status change at all. Frustrating, and not happy.

This is a great upgrade from the X-T3. It is definitely one to be reckoned with in the medium format mirrorless arena. Love it.

Love my Fuji camera! I was a cannon guy but this camera has got me hooked! Auto Focus is a bit trippy but everything else about the camera is magnificent!

I love Fujifilm cameras and they just keep getting better!. Unfortunately, the prices keep rising and I must be mad spending this kind of money on a camera!
When the XT4 came out, I just had to have it, especially because it is equipped with IBIS. I'm a huge fan of IBIS and it makes a big difference when shooting static objects in low light. You can shoot at much lower shutter speeds which means lower ISO and less noise.
The camera is packed with great features and is extremely well made. I've always loved Fuji's retro looks and this one is right up there in the looks department. Absolutely gorgeous camera!
Photo quality is as good as it gets in an APS-C sensor camera. There is very little difference (it at all) compared to Full Frame cameras. I also shoot with a Sony A7iii and the photo quality is virtually indistinguishable. In fact, I prefer the colours from the XT4. The Fuji is also easier to control and more fun to shoot with!

TLDR:
Nearly perfect for me, mainly use it for video and it outperformed my expectations. It even got me more into photography and have been thoroughly enjoying the film simulations (Eterna/Eterna BB or Classic Neg are my favourites). If Fuji can bump the autofocus performance to Sony EYE-AF levels with updates (They have so far improved it since launch) I think this is will best APS-C mirrorless in all categories period. Nearly perfect for me, just wish it could do 4k@90p or maybe allow for 6k@24p as it does down-sample to 6k to 4k.

I used to own a Canon t5i, then an Olympus OMD E-M10 Mk3, then a Panasonic G85 and they were all decent cameras in their own way, they each had their issues for a VIDEO CENTRIC buyer.

The 4k video was behind a menu you had to navigate EVERYTIME you wanted to shoot 4k video. Super annoying.

So where does the Fujifilm XT4 sit?
Decent stabilization (Bigger sensor so harder to do)
4k@60p 10-BIT 4:2:0 (4:2:2 externally)!
DCI 4k as well (slight crop to 4k@60, which doesn't bother me) also 1080@240p!
The 4k is actually 6k down-sampled to 4k so you get insanely high quality 4k out of such a small body
VERY MINIMAL rolling shutter WAY better than any Sony mirrorless by miles
Weather sealed
dual SD card slot (which you can assign one for still and one for video, or for redundancy AWESOME!)
Much better ergonomics compared to Sony a6xxx series
Excellent battery life
Very in depth menus (a little daunting but A LOT OF CONTROL when mastered)

What would make this the perfect camera for me?
More third party lens options
smoother auto focus, more robust like Sony EYE-AF. It has Eye AF but isn't as good
4k@90p (This is a BIG ask but I would take it even with a crop and maybe only UHD not DCI)

I had and x-t20 and upgraded, camera is just great, bigger body is not a problem as the grip is heftier. With the IBIS I can take stills down to half a second in low light.

Was a Nikon person and now own 15 Fujis and lots of lenses including the medium format camera and lenses.
On my last trip to Africa I used the H1 because of the stabilization but used the XT-3 for most other situations.
The XT-4 will be perfect for all my normal photos as I travel around the world six months of the year.
Just pick up any Fuji, not plastic, like a Leica , a pleasure to hold and use. Lenses are superb so I have a closet filled with Nikons I never use.
I love you can change most everything form the dials not like Sony.
Just the best, love them!
