My new printer has produced excellant results for my prints.My one big negative is the cost for the inks and how fast they are used up.I would get discount inks but they are not available, I would prefer getting brand inks but the cost becomes a problem. I like the wireless feature.

I have owned this great printer for 20 months. I have had no issues whatsoever. I use the proper paper profiles and every print dries to look exactly like the image on my monitor. My monitor is, of course, properly calibrated as well. Excellent photo enthusiasts printer.

I really like this printer. I wanted something for good quality matte finish prints and the R2000 is turning out to be the answer. If you're a hobbyist looking for a high quality machine that won't break the bank the R2000 is what you want.

Whether I am printing a 4X6, 8X10, or 13x19 the quality is outstanding. Deep rich blacks, vibrant colors and extraordinarily fine detail. And as a bonus it also prints this way on printable inkjet DVD & Blu-ray media. Kudos to Epson for another fine printing product.

Ran out of ink and couldn't print a photo. Ordered what I needed and supplies arrived as promised. Quality of ink is top-notch. Have 2 Epson printers and have had no problems ordering supplies for either machine.

The Epson R2000 produced great prints. I have produced 4x6, 5x7 and 8#10 inch prints, all with very rich color. It is easy to install, and works well wirlessly with my iPad and Galaxy S3 smartphone.

the printer is very big and easy to work with.i have not been using its for photos...i print business cards, posters, flyers and heat transfer tees.....since i have acquire other printers i will be using this mainly for big posters, and photosi have used refillable inks but the quality cant be compare with originals inks so i am sticking to originals inks.

As a semi-pro, always learning photo buff, this is the best of the best for printing. That is my opinion and will not change. Get this choice out of the way, buy superior color or B&W paper, then you can focus on your biggest issue... your camera and lens.

I used to have a wonderful Epson 2200. Loved it, until we moved, and the ink squirted out of the cartridges under pressure and dried inside, making it impossible to clean. What a bummer! (Remember to remove your cartridges when you move! Oh, something Epson made impossible with the R2000! If you figure out how to remove the cartridges when none are actually empty, PLEASE let me know!)So, I got an "upgrade" and got the R2000. I hate it! It is a waste of ink, especially when you 'clean' the print heads, which I have to do ALL the time, because it clogs up and prints terribly, quite often. I can count the dollars blowing in the wind! DON'T use the clean print heads option unless you plan to buy more WAY TOO EXPENSIVE print cartridges, which cartridges DO NOT last longer!I miss my 2200!

One problem is you have to change the photo black to matte to change printing and there is a problem changing back. Waste of ink. Quality is great.

This is one SERIOUS printer.I was very negative about setting this up. I foresaw all kinds of network issues, or problems with the software. But let me tell you, this was the smoothest install of any computer accessory I've ever done! Unpack the printer, take off all the blue tape, stick in the cartridges, turn the unit on so it can clean the cartridge heads. While it does that, install the software. ** You need a usb printer cable to complete the install! I was lucky in that I had one lying around from my previous printer but if you don't have one just FYI!!! My wireless internet is setup with a big password, but I didn't need it to complete the install. You just plug in the printer to the computer (when directed), then unplug it, and you can then print to the printer while it sits ANYWHERE in the house! Works well, prints fast. Feels like a quality product - very solid and not cheap at all. The sliders where the paper rests are very smooth to click out and retract. It's ENORMOUS - this is one BIG printer! Over 2 feet wide and a foot deep! Better stuff this somewhere where you won't TRIP over it! But, for my needs, it works just fine and so far so good. I'll update you if I note any major difficulties. Refills for the 8 cartridges (8!!!) comes to $24 at the time of this writing, which is darned cheap if you ask me. Thumbs up to Epson!

I'm loving this printer! I'm a painter who is printing prints to sell at a much lower price than the original paintings. It is very easy with this printer and the quality is incredible. It was a great product for a great business decision.

If you follow the instruction you get great prints from a variety of software. Settings do vary so read instructions carefully. Love the look and accuracy of the prints from this printer. True photo quality printer. The instructions on rool paper are a bit vague. I do like the possibility of direct printing at my studio. .

I really wanted to love this printer, I really did. I was having connection problems since the beginning and called Epson tech support for help and they were useless. Once I did get it to print the quality was horrible for a wide format printer.

Untill recently, I've been happy with my Epson photo stylus 1200. I began to notice slight banding (while printing 8x10's) that I could not eliminate. The reviews of Epson's R2000 & the $100 rebate covinced me to update rather than repair. After approximately 17 yrs, I still use the EPS1200 for ordinary printing, and now utilize the R2000 for the quality I require in my photos. My 11x14's are exceptional, I expected some 13x19 paper soon, & plan to try 13x44 pans. My impression with the new inks (including yield) is "better than expected".Further, Epson's packaging is very very good. Unpacking and installation was a piece of cake.

Cartriges are bigger and a reasonable price. I have owned a couple of epson printers, and they work hard for the value. If you want great photo prints at an entry price consider this printer. Good photo paper is as important as the quality of the printer.

Purchased this printer when my Epson R800 died and was very nervous because I had been so pleased with the R800.Other than ending up with a wide body printer, I had no desire to replace the 800. So far, however, the 2880 seems like an excellent printer. Print quality is excellent and I'm very pleased!

I am an avid scrapbooker and wanted a printer that would print on 12x12. This is by far the best printer I have ever owned. I've even upgraded to the newest Epson Stylus. I love the fact that the ink is waterproof.

I paired this printer with my Nikon D7000 DSLR for my instant photography gig on weekends and at events. The high quality shots from the Nikon and the fast high quality prints from this printer just keep wowing customer after customer. For the first time, I see more customers who are actually in love with their pictures, and they are not afraid to say it in public and show it to their friends. This printer does not only bring speed and quality to the prints, it also brings me joy for its effortless output. Get it now, if you are considering it.

Terrific printer. However, if you are a Mac OSX Lion user, you do have to jump through a couple of hoops to get the printer online. After that, though, it's a breeze!

I had an HP printer and it broke after a year of use, so I wanted to try a different brand for my next printer. I did my research and purchased this printer and I am very, very happy with it. It was fairly easy to set up and from the first photograph I printed, I was in awe. I sell greeting cards made with my nature images and I could not believe the brilliance of the colors on the photo paper - especially the oranges. Every color simply pops with this printer! Also, the printer is substantial in size and weight and I feel like I got top quality for my money. I would highly recommend this printer.

This is a great printer . . . and it had better be for the price. It works very well and it works wirelessly, making it a breeze to use. It will print just about anything, from banners, to photos, to canvas, to posters, and even cds. It is an excellent photo and document printer, which will be my primary use.The negatives I would point out for anyone looking for a printer:* It is huge. This printer takes up a lot of space, make sure you have the room.* It does a lot that I will never use. If you really need an all-in-one, this would be a great option. I don't know many people, or businesses, that need to print on every imaginable material.* Despite doing everything, there is no scanner or copier so you will still need something else.If size is not an issue and you are not looking for an all-in-one, this is a great price. For everyone else, there is probably something out there better for your needs.

Have been using this product constantly for the past month. I also have the older Epson R300 which I thought was outstanding and still do. However the Epson R2000 with its pigmented ink is the best that I have ever used as far as a home printer is concerned. The r300 is not far behind, but it is definately behind. Excellent black and whites though not the best I've seen, but still very good. The color is so outstanding that it amazes me that such engineering is available to us at home. Go and get one if you are looking for something under $500.00 with a rebate, and we can all be amazed together.

I have been in business as a Commercial Photographer for 25 years. I bought the first digital equipment made...Macs, scanners, and so on. I have owned several printers andthe very best printers I have owned and still own are Epson by far. If you understand the technology and use your equipment as it should be used and perform periodic maintenance and use Epson paper along with Epson ink you should have no problems. I have printed thousands of prints in my career. Exhibition prints, wall hangers for clients and press proofs for offset printing and digital printing.Epson has never failed me.I still use an Epson 1270 stylus pro that has to be 15 years old. I use it everyday and it has never failed me. I owned the Epson 2200 and finally wore it out because I used it as a production printer networked to 5 Mac work stations for my studio. I just cannot say enough good about Epson. I am getting ready to buy another Epson..either this 2880 or the 3880.So my friends; and I do not work for Epson, if you want a good printer and excellent prints that can and do rival the Giclee' followers then learn to print and buy an Epson.Sincerely,Dennis_ President/CEO Studio East, Inc.

I have bought quite a few of these ink cartridges from Amazon and all worked as expected. I ordered this one because I knew it was low and would be needed soon. When I installed it, the printer wouldn't recognize it and now the return window is closed. I could still return it, pay shipping, and then pay a restocking fee but that would all cost about as much as a new cartridge-what's the use.I think the return period for things like ink cartridges should be extended because you don't always need the cartridge as soon as you get it and don't find out its bad until after return period is over.

I received my Epson SP R2000 and I am so excited after printing several 4x6 prints. The colors were simply beautiful and looked very professional. This is my 1st Epson Printer and by far the best investment. I haven't had the time to print larger prints yet, but it has beautiful color and it's fast. I read lots of reveiws and this printer it is definitely not over rated. The only complaint I have is this printer doesnt have a slot to print directly from the memory card and I will really miss that...but will still rate the printer 5 star. I've had no problems at all with the set up. The colors are so brilliant and vivid! I would definately recommend this printer.

I would never thought an inkjet printer will match prints from a pro lab. I was debating between R2000 and the aging Canon 9000 Mark II. At the time of my purchased, there were no review in Amazon. I have farmed out most my works to Professional online and local lab in Minnesota in the past. Bought mine on Octorber 2011. I finally have side by side comparison prints from a Pro lab and R2000. For print size of 4"x6" to 11"x14", you won't notice the different. Wifi ready is big PLUS, it allow me to place the printer anywhere in the studio with an outlet. I have not print from roll and CD cover yet. For the last 3 months, I have not encountered double feeding, paper jam and ink clogging issue a well known problem for epson printers in the past. I've tested the clogging issue by not printing for 3 weeks and it still printed just fine. I will update my review if any thing arise.Pro. WIFI ready, compact, print on roll, print CD cover and professional quality for a $500 printer.Con. Use a lot of Gloss-Optimizer ink in 2-1 ratio of other colors if print strictly in photo on luster paper.Hope this review help your decision, Thank you for reading.

I have had this printer for almost two years, and have used it often - have replaced the ink cartridges at least ten times. This is not because the printer spills ink, but because I print photographs, often on Epson's Ultra Premium Presentation Mattte paper, at the highest resolution. While there has been an occasional problem (ink cartridge clogged after weeks of no use), the prints continue to be high quality. I am presently printing 11.7" by 16.5" inch paper to create framed images for a photo gallery, and the images are selling well. CD printing is also excellent.

PROSA great machine that prints very high quality color prints.Printing is relatively quiet.Very easy to set up.WIFI capability.CONSStarting up the machine is somewhat noisy (although printing is actually quieter).Replacement ink cartridges can be expensive.SUMMARYThis is an excellent color printer for photographers, scrapbookers or artists who want to be able to print high quality prints and photos at home. Obviously, the better quality paper you use, the better the end product. The machine is pretty large, so make sure you have a good place for it before your shipment arrives. Replacement inks will be pricey, but with Epson, you're still spending less than with higher-end brands, and generic ink cartridges are pretty easy to find online if you want to save a few more dollars still.

I purchased this printer in December 2011 and hadn't opened it because I wasn't sure of the location. I knew the printer would be large (did my research) so I waited until I found a spot. The set up was super easy and the printer found my wifi location very quickly. I love that the printer can be located anywhere in the house and doesn't have to be directly connected to the computer.The picture quality is absolutely brilliant. I didn't know what to expect from a home photo printer but I had read so many reviews and run across so many people that have this model that I decided to bite the bullet (the $100 rebate also helped my decision). I'm a full time scrap booker and amateur photographer so I print a lot of photos. I like the freedom and flexibility of deciding how I want my photos printed on the spot instead of sending them out for print and realize that a different size photo would have worked better.I just ordered extra ink cartridges from the Epson Store because I received a coupon code but the cartridges are a little pricey still.All in all, I love this printer and recommend it.

I bought this printer with high expectations that I would be able to do color office printing and high-quality professional photo printing, as advertised. Though the printer should be able to do both jobs, to do so you have to manually change out the matte black ink and the photo black ink each time depending on what type of printing you are doing. Even worse, the printer software has BIG problems detecting that the inks have switched and just won't print. Even worse than this, every time you switch, the printer uses up ink detecting the cartridge, the cartridge you take out dries out and the result...I've printed literally TWO photos and now the printer is telling my the photo black cartridge doesn't have enough ink to switch over and has frozen up the whole printer and I have to buy new ink cartridges at high Epson prices....ridiculous! Now I know why they put this printer on sale.... Don't waste your time and money.

I love this printer. I used the Epson Artisan for over a year to print custom invitations and the prints were really great with that printer but it ALWAYS jammed on me and drove me insane when printing with cardstock. So I splurged and purchased this Stylus to replace it. It's fantastic!! I will say the print quality is the same as I got from the Artisan (AWESOME!) but it handles cardstock SOOOO much better. The back paper feeder is way more effective than the printers with the loading trays. I never have a paper jam with this printer and it can easily handle heavy cardstock. It's print speed is on the slow side if that will be an issue for you. I find the beautiful prints worth the wait.

I am a Photography Student at a local college and do my own photo printing. I want to make sure that the pictures come out as intended for my assignments. I always buy Epson ink for my Epson R2880 and never have had a problem. The printer does go through a lot of ink and the cartridges are small, but the quality is excellent. I have never received a bad Epson Ultra Chrome ink cartridge, but then again I have never purchased non-Epson ink. I use Epson products for all of my printing needs including the paper its printed on.

Rec'd the printer promptly w/o problem. Have been using it for a little over a month now and well satisfied. My old printer had driver problems, always warning about ink being low when it wasn't and print jobs that suspended and then were hard to cancel. The epson works well for everything I've tried so far and have no complaints. Individual ink compartments are good because you are only ever replacing the one that is empty as opposed to a multicolor combined cartridge. My epson v600 scanner performs so well that it helped make the decision in buying this epson printer. At the time printer was sold it had a $100 rebate which I will update review only if I do not receive.

I am a photo hobbyist, and enjoy printing my own images, especially making note cards with nice images. I have probably made 300 or fewer prints, and the printer is now in need of repair, according to epson tech support. I live in Salt lake City, and will need to send it to Boise for a repair. The problem is failure to feed the paper. Although the images from this printer are indeed beautiful, I cannot recommend a machine which breaks this quickly. Another issue is that the ink cartridges are expensive and do not last long. Bottom line: don't buy it.

I am a photo studio owner for over 30 years and I have owned many printers. I purchased the R2000 to print note cards, photo cards, and post cards. The folks at Red River Paper said that this was a good printer to do what I wanted. I tried for days to get it to work and after talking tot he Epson Rep. he set me straight. I think I downloaded 32 bit drivers instead of the correct 64 bit. Prints are wonderful.....yea!
