So far so good! I bought this Temp Data Logger to use in Freezers. I've already used it in a customer's machine, and the data that came back was EXCELLENT! The program was fairly easy to use. I really like that I can export my data in excel, pdf, word, and other formats as well. I think I like the simplicity of the PDF format, but excel might be really useful for math functions. Overall I am very happy. I am very likely going to be buying more of these. One note: the instructions are a translation, probably from China. It does make it a bit hard to read... however, if you are intelligent it is not hard to understand how to operate the data logger.

Works as described with resect to data acquisition, storage and retrieval (download). Price is very reasonable compared to the prices of competitors units. Have not had the unit long enough to comment on battery life. The following information may be useful.
Install the management software that comes on the mini disc and run the executable file. Plug the RC-5 into your computer's USB port and open the RC-5 management software by clicking on the "RC-4&5 Conventional" icon. This icon will be on the computer’s desk top and also will be displayed in the programs (left hand) toolbar when clicking the “home” button of your computer. The toolbar will be displayed on your computer screen when you have activated the management software.
Once the management software is opened, click on the "Connection" icon.
Then click on the “Parameter Set” icon and then fill in your set of user selected data acquisition entries the parameter fields to control the format of temperature data that are are recorded (logged), how often they are measured.
When you have completed entering the measurement parameters, click “SAVE” at the bottom/lower right of the parameters set screen. Then click on “Exit”, which is also at the bottom/lower right of the parameter set screen.
Next unplug the RC5 from the computer’s USB port. It will have heated up quickly during the time when it was plugged in to the USB port (while you were entering the data acquisition parameters) and the temperature displayed on the screen of the RC5 will not be an accurate indication of the ambient temperature, the RC5 screen will show a much higher temperature. About 30 minutes after you unplug the RC5 from the computer, it will have cooled down to room ambient temperature. The RC5 unit will not start recording until you push its left (play, start) > button while also holding it down for ~ 4 seconds. When you do so, the temperature that the RC5 unit is experiencing at that time (hopefully it has cooled down to be the same as the room ambient temperature) shows on the screen of the RC5 for ~ 15 seconds along with the >, indicating that the RC5 has commenced recording (data acquisition).
To view and download recorded data, you need to plug the RC5 into the computer’s USB port and then click on the "RC-4&5 Conventional" icon to again open the management software.
Clicking on the "upload data" icon will display a plot of the acquired data on the computer screen.
Clicking on the "stop record" icon will stop the RC5 unit from recording data.
Clicking on the "Export to Excel" icon will import the data to Excel.

Perfect for long term record of temperature! Extremely accurate and flexible, providing both graphic and detail recording with pdf and spreadsheet output.
Very difficult to figure out how to set up and operate, but once you get there it is fantastic!

Won’t work with Mac. Required a special driver installed from their site (security risk). After I installed it worked only twice. After logging temperature for a few days, there was no way I could get it to work back so I could download. The recorder itself got stuck in acquisition mode and even a hard reset by removing the battery would not fix.

Works just as advertised on my windows 10 computer. I have one in our little greenhouse and and another in a watertight container under the dock in the lake. They are easy to set up and seem to have a long enough battery life to make them useful. Saving the data is a bit convoluted and the manual is close to useless. I ended up saving the data as a pdf, giving me a summary table and a reasonable chart. I would like to save the data so it can be read by the app that comes with the device, but I can't seem to manage that.

This item may do what it claims to be able to do, but I don't think I'll ever know. I'm unable to get the software to do anything the instructions say it should do. I have only basic computer skills, and I imagine this device and software require well more than that. The only thing I could find on Youtube in English was how to open the package and put in the battery. No telephone support, of course. I am apparently a small minority in that I would happily pay double for something that was 'plug and play', rather than get a great deal on something I can't make work and throw away.

While the idea is great, this a very poorly designed. Although their website provides down for Macs, it does not work on an apple computer. Even without being hooked up, the device itself is impossible to use. Will be returning this for a refund.

Our refrigerator was dying and I wanted some evidence. I got two of these data loggers and set them to work - one in the freezer, one in the fridge. Both worked brilliantly. The software is, as mentioned in other reviews, somewhat lacking, but it is simple enough to get the data out of the unit and into Excel. The repairman saw the temperature chart and these data loggers and immediately wanted some for himself. They work great and can record for very extended duration based on the selected interval.

Ordered this to record 5 months of cold celler temps. After 5 months, the device had moisture inside the display and the socket had rust on it. Apparently their was a defect in the seal on the cover.

I wasn't expecting much at this price point and, yeah, the instructions aren't useful. However, it works perfectly. I question the calibration, but it is adjustable with software. Doesn't appear to be an abort button if you start logging early.

It will work as I need it, but one problem is when its plugged into the USB port, the computer inside heats up. So the temperature spikes. Once I figured that out. I am able to use it as I understand how it works. I wish they had a port or moved the thermistor to a different location in the unit. Over all I'm ok with the unit.

Good value for a temperature data logger at $19 USD. Software installation is easiest by downloading from the manufacturer's website. The software will update the data logger's basic information such as time and date. It says it is waterproof to IPX67 standards. However, I recommend placing it in a waterproof bag if you intend to have this outdoors for an extended period of time.

BUYER BEWARE... When Amazon offers a combined purchase with a card of batteries, TAKE THE OFFER, because the battery that comes with the device indicates only 10%-25% battery level remaining when installed in the device and you will pay a whole lot more for a new battery when you go to your local store. Save the trip to the store and higher cost by buying a replacement battery(s) when you order the device. Other than that it works great and is a great value.

Online instructions are better than the enclosed instructions. I initially purchased this to monitor temperature cycling in dying freezer. Now I am monitoring all kinds of random things. It appears that I can simply delete the data when I hit 32000 limit, but I will wait until I get there to verify. Other feedback on limit is conflicting.

It does what it says. The supplied software works but suffers from Chinese to English translation issues. Make sure you read the help that's embedded in the PC app. The supplied hard copy documentation is adequate but the print is VERY tiny. You can get the same documentation at the manufacturer's website and printing it from there yields a more readable copy. I've used it to record the temperature in a room where I'm having air conditioning issues. Overall, I'd buy it again.

I bought two RC-5 loggers. They worked for about a year and then both of them died. Their tech support number from their website rings once then gives a busy signal. However, their tech support did answer my email and helped me get them working again. Needed to change a setting via software. Their updated software is better than the old version too

Love the size and weight of recorder. Great LCD screen a day the fact that you can lock out the button pads is helpful. The software seems a tad bit dated and the cd didn't work. I went to the website to download the software. Even though it's a bit dated in appearance, you can still find useful data to print or even put into excel. Easy to use and a Great price!!

Horrendously poor quality software. RC Conventional (the software supplied by Elitech) requires to run as system admin?! After exporting to EXCEL, Windows can NOT see the file. Only Elitech's application can?!!! Extremely verbose manual and help files that mislead rather than help use the logger. The logger does work. But, getting the data out of it is another story.

Fantastic little device that does exactly what it says it will do. Setup instructions are a little quirky, but once you figure it out, it works like a charm. I couldn't ask for a better display of recorded temperatures. Export of readings to Excel is a snap.

For the price, it works. Only problem was my MacAfee kept saying the soft ware had
a virus. Loaded it on a old computer and ran fine. Easy to use. Wanted some thing that
would graph temperatures and it does just that. I have spent much more for less.
Just started using it. If it lasts a year thats a great value.

There is no manual or software shipped with the unit. It only provides a link to the software and manual. The 2 page PDF took almost 5 min to download and the software link is inaccessible. The support link to contact someone doesn't work either. What good is this unit without the software? Worthless!

Very accurate graphing and data collection. Downloadable software is sufficient in everything needed to see what you get. What makes it stand out is the simplicity and amount of exportable file types. Very well done.

Instrument and software look promising. Sample Excel graphs look authoritative. I connected it by USB cable, but get "connection failed" message no matter what I do. Emailed manufacturer Elitech, received no reply. Instructions tiny. Help?

The monitor did what it was supposed to however the enclosed software was cludgy. First computer I tried to install it on the software would crash when the logger was plugged in. It gave some SQL error. The second machine I got it working and it does graph and display the information. However some of the messages it displays don't make sense. The interface is a little poor and I had trouble getting it to keep the setting I wanted. One strange thing is by default you can not stop the logging function with the device itself. You must hook it up to a computer to stop it logging. You can correct it by changing a setting but as I mentioned the settings didn't always take. The exported Excel spread sheet has the numbers populated in cells flagged as text. Minor but annoying little things make this a passable product but not great.

пила огонь! правда мне не с чем сравнивать, но взял эту пилу спилил все ветки которые несколько лет собирался пилить, потом пошёл к соседу спилил ещё у него там, потом всё это превратил в дрова и на всё И про всё у меня ушло половина четвёрки аккумулятора. то есть пилит огонь я пилю ей одной рукой главное покрепче прижать к деревяшек и совершать маятниковые движения и всё она перепиливает всё что угодно. хотел купить маленькую которая одной рукой пилит, Но передумал потому что не люблю маленькие вещи. и не прогадал большая серьёзная надёжная пила пилит только в путь! если думаете брать или не брать берите. Посмотрите обзор у папы Карло на канале ну и плюс цена была 4.200 4.200 в сегодняшних условиях это просто подарок при том что у меня есть аккумуляторы зарядка элитек. И вообще линейка инструментов Elitech она вообще годная. нет ни одного хреновой какой-то вещи какой-то ненадёжный пока не встречал. и шуруповёрт и болгарка аккумуляторная имеется в виду и вот эта пила и перфоратор всё годное всё на высшем уровне Ну или на одну ступеньку ниже высшего уровня. если что мне не хватает это аккумуляторный дисковой пилы Ну нет у них её Я бы наверное её Купил даже не наверное а точно бы купил пила огонь Берите не пожалеете
Сегодня у меня была вторая серия по пиление сабельной пилой. я спилил все ветки, которые были на высоте больше двух с половиной метров. старые сушняк у соседа которыми мне мешал ходить через его участок и загораживал мне мои помидоры. то есть работал приблизительно где-то 2 часа напилил две полные тележки дров веточек таких с Руку толщиной чуть тоньше. и на всё это дело у меня ушёл один полный аккумулятор четвёрка. все маленькие веточки которые растут я их тоже срезал этой же пилой то есть количество резов которые я сделал этой пилой порядка сотни. купил под это дело пилу 230 мм такую а ля бош от практики тоже пилка нормальная но правда села после пиления яблони и груши тут эти деревья очень плотные они как дуб по плотности. то есть я её посадил, но

отличная модель
Сабельная пила - отличная вещь для дачи, тем более аккумуляторный вариант , проверено. Довольно качественный бренд, у меня много сетевого инструмента, пока ещё не подводил. Из аккумуляторного есть фонарь и опрыскиватель на 15 л. - вещь, только громоздкий, но работает супер). Пилки лучше использовать биметал.

за 1550р нет смысла к чему то придираться, минус звезда за дурацкую контрольную кнопку, неудобно нажимать на обе сразу, сделано вроде для защиты, что бы не забыть и в сумке не распилить все содержимое, но можно было бы сделать как на шуриках- лево-стоп-право.

Нужно понимать, что это инструмент для мелких работ. Использую для обрезки деревьев в саду. Ветки диаметром до 40 мм пилит вполне себе нормально, даже штатными полотнами. За свои деньги хороший инструмент для дома.

Не стоит своих денег. Не пилит. Пробовал разны пилки по дереву. Что бы пилила нужно производить движения как ручной пилой. Села через 10мин. Шляпа в общем. Игрушка. На фото то, что напилил этой игрушкой до отключения, т. е буквально 5-6 распилов ветки толщиной +- 3-4см.
Больше 2000р не стоит!

для сада и мелких работ самое то. для постоянного пиления, особенно металла скорее не подойдет. взял в дополнение к большой сабельной dewalt.

Пила удобная в работе, не тяжелая, полотно нормальное по качеству. Для рядовых задач на огороде мне хватает.

Нет вроде бы. Все исправно, у меня пару месяцев, использую сейчас довольно активно.
Нравится эта фирма, не первый их инструмент.

Эту модель решил приобрести из-за мобильности. Не нужно искать источник питания, так как работает от аккумулятора. Пилки быстросъемные, легко менять. В процессе работы не закусывает. Работаю с деревом.
