Extremely well packed with clear instructions. The stylus incorporated a hinged cap, which was very convenient. I left it on until after the first time powered up for safety. The arm did in fact activate onto the rubber mat, but all was safe. I was utterly amazed with the sound quality with my recently purchased Denon RCD- M39DAB Micro Component CD Receiver System.

For the price this is a very nice piece of kit and what I like best is that transferring vinyl onto a memory stick couldnt be easier, press start and then as the needle drops onto the vinyl press record.

Bought this to complete my Denon Hi Fi stack and to let me play all my LP's that haven't seen the light of day since the 1970's. Piece of cake to set up, just plug in and play! Try to keep the mains lead well clear of other connecting leads (especially mains) because there is a possibility of hum, but this is something you have to watch with any phono setup. Mine is fine. No skipping or anything else to cause concern, it just works fine. Very pleased with purchase.

Software is poor and difficult to work. The table is a bit plasticky and although works quite well, I wish I has purchased a more robust turntable after being used to my technics turntable which is a far better built system. The only reason I punched this was because u could not find anyone to repair my technics deck. Can anyone recommend someone who could repair my technics deck. Value for money about 6 out of 10

I bought the turntable to digitize my 700 vinyl records from the 60's and 70's. The turntable is basic but easy and straight forward to use. I t has a moving coil cartridge and records at 192 bps which are better than cheaper alternatives with ceramic cartridges and 128 bps recording rates. I have now recorded 150 albums without any problems. I use the free program Audacity (Windows version) to remove noise, clicks and pops etc and find this program better and easier to use than the program that comes with the turntable.
The downside is that the needle and cartridge are not replaceable but this should not be a problem unless you have thousands of LPs to convert. Also the unit does not automatically stop recording when the record has finished playing which is a pain. The tone am returns automatically and the turntable stops turning but for some reason you have to manually press a button to stop recording. Finally the tone arm would benefit with a lift and drop function (to skip tracks you have to manually raise and lower the arm which requires a steady hand to avoid scratching the record.)
All things considered it does what I bought it for well so I am happy with it.

10000% better than Ion and Crosley (both of which we have) which are cheap and nasty toys that sound tinny and brittle in comparison. This has a magnetic cartridge. Cheapo's have ceramic ones which died out with the dinosaurs and sound terrible.
Plugs straight into regular Aux phonos (just like a CD player does) or has an EQ-off switch so you can plug it into your amps' record player input (if it has one...rare these days). Or you can USB straight onto a computer. Brilliant.
Only negative is slightly flimsy construction but if you want a really solid beast, I'm afraid you'll have to spend over double and get a Rega!

Excellent turntable.
The turntable is simple to use, easy to assemble, (if you follow the instructions first), and the sound quality is excellent.
Whilst the PC software is difficult to understand and use, there are others on the market that can be used instead.

Plays great, no problems with arm weight or play speed. Saves to USB stick with no problems, software fiddly and takes a bit of time to use. Would be nice to have an on light. Five stars as it's a great buy.

Performance is very good indeed for a turntable of relatively lightweight construction. Remarkable ease of use makes playing discs a pleasure. With first class amp and speakers this player gives the pin-sharp sound you want to hear.

I guess this is 4 stars. Overall it's good value although it would be good if you could lift the arm onto records manually, which my large fingers can't. My biggest criticism is that it can't cope with a 16GB memory stick - the synchronisation goes haywire which makes editing/separating tracks nigh impossible with the supplied software. This isn't an issue with anything between 128KB to 1GB of memory but they should tell you that large memory sticks could be an issue. It would certainly saved me some head scratching.

As a music appreciator rather than fanatic, i am very pleased with every aspect of my new Denon turntable. For the money, and integrated with my other Denon separates and half-decent speakers it brings me great joy and nostalgia.

Been looking around for a turntable where I could convert to MP3 easily, but didn't want the cheap USB turntable (heard nasty things about damaging records). The fact it's an automatic player, and that it supports recording to USB storage, it's a win win! Rather than get a cheaper turntable, spend a little more and get this!
Also, it does look the business too!
When I upgrade my amp, this is gonna look lovely on it!

I bought this turntable as I started to collect vinyl again.
As my sound system is also all Denon I decided to go for this model.
In terms of sound quality I would say it is very good.
It looks very light and very placticy.
The on/off button has no light to say if on or off. You can easily forget it on. Bad!
Other down side is the arm as it don't come with the device to lift and lower the needle. I have to have steady hands not to scratch your vinyl. You can put on/off automactly whisch is good.
I haven't test the usb soft yet but I can say is a good product and it could be cheaper than that.
Overall is does the job and I'm happy with the sound quality which meters more to me.

I bought this specifically to transfer my vinyl collection to MP3 and not to connect to any medium or high-end hi-fi equipment. The product itself is OK - easy enough to set-up and work-out how to use, the quality of sound coming through my small stereo is fine (although I have never compared any other record deck through the same stereo), however the software is infuriating - really, really poor. I find it counter-intuitive to simply split the tracks and it is driving me mad. I would get some additional / alternative software if I could be bothered, but I've got to the point where I just play my records through the stereo.
I really should have looked at this in more depth and I probably would have bought a standard record deck and maybe an add-on that allowed it to be played directly into my PC. I'm not using it in the way I intended.

I did wonder at first if I was imagining it but all checks carried out so far seem to indicate that I seem to be right. Shame nice sound otherwise. Supplied software isn't that great either. Love Denon products too, so why is this product rather 'inferior'?

It does what I wanted when I was looking for a means of archiving my collection of LPs, EPs and 45rpm singles.

Bought this for my husband for his birthday and we have been so pleased with it. Lovely to hear our LPs again and the sound is so clear, wonderful clarity. He wants to copy the LPs to disc but we haven't managed to get round to it yet. Looks simple enough though.

I wanted a new turntable so I could re-discover some of the pleasures of my old record collection. I was a bit surprised at the cost of turntables these days but, i suppose with inflation factored in maybe they aren't so expensive.
Anyway, firstly I must comment on a great service from Superfi. It was free delivery but they definitely provided a first class service in this respect - I highly recommend them.
The turntable arrived very well packaged and just needed to be unpacked and assembled (fixing the belt to the platter and then putting on the mat - which was all very easy to do). I connected it to my Denon M38 Cd Receiver and it all worked perfectly. It is very easy to use and I am pleased with the sound from the set up. So far I have only used it to play records and have not tried to use the USB recording facility, though it is something I do intend to try, but if I'm not happy with it at least I know I can directly connect this turntable direct to my PC. The only negative point I have come across is that it would have been better had there been some indication of when the unit was on, as there are no lights to show this, and I have left it on overnight by accident already.
On the whole I would definitely recommend this turntable for those wishing to get back to playing their vinyl collection.

We paired this with B&W 602 SM speakers and NAD 315 amp, the sound is brilliant. To set it up was very easy, it is Plug and Play! Strongly recommend it, it has brought the music back in our house!

Only a small point but when the power is on there is no indicator light so it is easy to leave on after use.
