THIS IS MY THIRD DENON RECEIVER PURCHASED, THE FIRST WAS A 5800, SECOND AVR 990 AND THEN IS ONE PAIRED WITH A 70 INCH VIZIO M-SERIES 240HZ LED/LCD TV WHAT A GREAT SETUP, SOUND AND PICTURE !

I have had the Denon AVR 1604 for the past 9 years . Still works great . Clean dolby digital . I have patiently waited for Denon to go through their growing pains with the HDMI technological advances . The AVR X 3000 is the perfect replacement for my predecessor .
I considered the X2000 but the options on the back are limited. The new in command X3000 is perfect for my needs , as well as for the future . The X series has an impeccable display and digital processing that is amazing . Great great receiver !!!

I bought this AVR to replace a Sony ES555. The setup was a breeze and it was up and running in less than 30 minutes. I'm running Definitive Front towers with dual 15" powered subs, Center and Rear surrounds. The power output rocks the Definitives and has great sound equalization after tuning with the Audyssey system. Definitely would recommend this unit!

On screen setup made it easy to do. Plenty of connections in the back. Remote works well. I like the quality of Denon (this is my third one).

Excellent receiver and value for the price. Wish there were more pre-set sounds like in Yamaha line of receivers. Bit tricky with audyssey moving the calibration unit to different spots which are very close in a mid-sized room. But it works and delivers!

This device gives the appearance of being very simple or even 'dumb', nothing could be further from the truth! It is a rather brilliant and well thought out device, my only second thought is I wish I'd bought the big brother as you can always crank the sound level down on a big amp but a little one is breathing hard on high dynamic range material. Great value for money, and you can even talk to a human at the Denon support line if you have any issues you can figure out with the manual.

The red blinking light shut downs that go with this system are annoying. But, a hard reset seems to help. I would do my research because many people are having problems with the new AVR models. Just do your homework.

Both equipment exceeded my expectations, excellent sound quality and potency as accurate for my needs! Strongly recommend the equipment. Were installed in my home theater.

There are not enough speaker terminals for 7.1 + Zone 2. You have to chose between surround speakers and Zone 2.
