Decent keyboard for working from home @ ₹1.1k during sale
The product is okay for programming if you'd prefer a silent keyboard with a decent key travel and you likely don't like mechanical keyboards and dont like membrane ones.
Pros:
1. Meh, nice typing feel, worked out of the box on most Linux systems.
2. Silent keyboard, good for working from home.
3. Has a Fn lock key, helpful.
Cons:
1. Dell lacks a caps lock, NumLock indicator. This is basically poor product design. This is a major issue for some people.
2. The function key is between the control and windows(super key); so it takes some time to adjust. But if you are a power user you know how to swap them ;)
3. Okay-ish build quality. One cannot expect super premium at such aggressive pricing of ₹ 1.1k. It's a bit better than Prodot one and a bit average as compared to Dell KB212.

Battery holder design needs to the fixed
its a GREAT wireless keyboard and mouse combo! i have been using it for quite a few months. comes time to replace battery for mouse. this has 2 main problems:
- the battery hole is small
this makes inserting the battery somewhat difficult. i have another wireless mouse (only) and it has a full size battery hole, which is actually easy to use.
- the +ve terminal is hidden and -ve terminal visible
this makes inserting a battery really difficult. i had to use a screwdriver to squeeze the -ve terminal while i pull out the battery. same issue while putting a new battery too. if dell would have simply switched the terminals it would have not been this difficult.

if you are reading this.
PLEASE UPDATE THIS PRODUCT!

Freezing and Lag issue
Purchased for my macbook and its working smoothly.
Update : After like 4-5 day usage it started showing issues.
The keyboard freezes and delays taking input. Checked in a windows system and the same problem persists.
Once again made a mistake purchasing dell products.

Great Product
Great product for the price.. i got it for ₹1149 (previous cashback from a pay ₹400 --> ₹1149-₹400=₹749).. I felt great Power saving efficiency.. I am using with rechargeable batteries.. getting long battery life.. keys are smooth..
Keyboard has a negotiable drawback that is no indicators for caps, num and scroll lock.. it is for powet saving..

Great for office or typists, not for gamers.
The typing experience all over is really good. The mouse is clicky. All over design is good. But the problem is latency. When you are playing games like Minecraft or any other FPS games, you can really feel the mouse lag. If you're building something in Minecraft or any other games that include heavy use of the mouse, you can definitely feel the lag. Also when you type fast, the keyboard lags a bit. So, if you are using this for typing, it will work out well. But if you are planning to play games, definitely go with a wired set. Also, the keyboard has no on/off switch so it will drain the battery faster. There are many ideas to stop draining the battery quickly, like opening up the battery which I currently do, it is not really convenient. You can buy this if you are using it for casual purposes but I prefer wired keyboard and mouse for gaming purposes.

Recieved defective piece and got it replaced. New one is great!
I bought this a few days back and within a couple of days, I found that the keyboard was not registering keystrokes.
Not sure if the item delivered has manufacturing defects or this is some problem with the whole KM 117 series. As some other people have mentioned the same problem in the comments section.
I have requested for a replacement, hopefully, the new keyboard should not have any such issues.
Update: The new keyboard is working nicely. It has been almost a week working on the new keyboard and I did not find any problem. Looks like the keyboard that was delivered earlier had some defect. But the new one is just great. Loving it!

Affordable and best
Bought logitec 270r based on great reviews. Keyboard was lagging. Got it replaced and the other one also had similar issue.
Finally ordered this Dell combo. Couldn’t have asked for more from a keyboard that looks great and feels great on typing. Mouse is comfortable enough for a whole day at work. Loving it.

Poor design
Very poorly designed keyboard and mouse. The spacebar is starting almost close to the start of 'V' button. The left thumb is not falling on spacebar sometimes. The spacebar on the right is extending way beyond 'M" button. I don't know who can put their thumb on the spacebar beyond 'M' (on the right side). When we hit the keys with little more pressure, it misses. Also, if you are off the centre of the buttons, again it misses.
The mouse is not comfortable for long use and way too bulky.

Looks good, but scrolling in mouse goes awry in a couple of months.
It is good and works great in the initial days.
But after a couple of months, scrolling in mouse went awry and not usable.
Keyboard is rock solid and serves it's purpose.
Less stars due to mouse scrolling issue in 2 months time.

Why there is no indicator light ?
Product build quality is good. Mouse is very comfortable. Keys are very smooth and very good for typing. This not a gaming keyboard.
Battery is included.
There is no Capslock, Numlock... or any kind of light indicator available. Only battery indicator is there.

Worst service from Dell
The USB receiver is not working. It is under warranty. Dell refuses to service as they say warrranty is over as per their terms. I purchased it on 8th feb 2017 but dell says the warranty starts from date of manufacturing and not when the customer purchases the product.Can amazon please help me with this.

3. Ergonomic mouse
Cons: [Note, I got warranty replacement in 3 months and the replaced item has same issues as listed in the cons below, so they are standard lackings in the product]
1. Battery Indicator never works - it is a mere gimmick
2. Absence of the Indicators for Num Lock, Function Key Lock, Scroll Lock is more inconvenient than I thought. Makes case change typing really complicated. Very unpractical.
3. Both original mouse and second mouse went nuts after few weeks of use. They become hard to click causing RSI condition for users.
4. Keyboard batteries do not last beyond 2 months even on moderate use of 2-3 hours typing a day.
5. Dell does not have straight forward customer service for peripherals which made customer service experience a nightmare during warranty replacements.

It was either this or the logitech keyboard and mouse combo. Good range, works fine upto 9 feet distance. The mouse is medium sized, feels good in the palm. Keyboard is full sized.

This Keyboard is for "The Mountain" from Game of Thrones. Not for Regular Size hands.
This keyboard is BIG. And impacts my typing speed. I cant reach my speed of 85 WPM because of the extra big size of the keys and their alignment. The keys are not properly aligned.. they are stretched a few millimeters than the standard key board.
Every time I use ALT function , i accidentally touch windows keys. This Keyboard is for HUGE people like Sir Gregor Clegane = The Mountain from Game of Thrones.
Dont buy it if you are among the humans that can be classified under normal category.
Very Disappointed. I doubt this is a original or Fake product. Is this actually from DELL, because other Dell keyboards are absolutely perfect for me :/

Value for money... Must buy
Using it from last 2 months without turning off, almost happy with price I paid. Good battery life. Keyboard has a little lag when I type very fast. But the price is low, so cant expect more than this.
Update: using it from past 8 months and the mouse is showing low battery for the first time. (Keyboard battery is still running) Really awesome product. I am 100% satisfied and recommend this to everyone. (Note: I never turned OFF the mouse during this period. It was always ON)

Good Product, but there's a BUT!
It is a great option, its Dell after all. The buts being the keys feel very mushy, they aren't as clicky as you would expect them to be. The placement of keys is a lil different, takes time getting used to; it is my second day with it and I still miss keys here and there. Specially cause there is a 'Fn' key on the left after 'Ctrl' which shifts 'Alt' key to the right more than anyone is used to; this makes me press windows key all the time. The keyboard has no indication for Caps Lock and Num Lock, makes sense they wanted to save battery; but it does get annoying while typing passwords!
The mouse on the other hand is great! No complaints about it whatsoever. The mouse it self is very light, battery adds to its weight which is very adequate.
You can't actually go wrong with this at this price point. But there is a lot of getting used to involved here!
PS: I used an OTG with my phone and connected the dongle supplied, both mouse and keyboard worked just fine. So this is a super compatible device. There is no lag or latency in mouse or keyboard.

There is NO CAPS Lock LED Indicator... It creates a problem entering Password , you cannot know if it small or capital letter... I found it a big disadvantage.. Other than that it works perfect

Stopped working after a year
Suddenly my keyboard has stopped working without any reason. Changed the battery, but still keyboard is not responding, looks like receiver had a very poor life. Really frustrating.

Review of Dell KM117 wireless keyboard and mouse combo
Delivery was fast. Received within a day even though estimate said later. Packaging was good. Contents were intact and there was no damage. Purchased it for Rs. 1281 from the amazon seller "Appario Retail Private Ltd". MRP on the box was Rs.1399. It was manufactured in China and imported for sale by Dell. Batteries are included in the box. I am happy to see Duracell batteries and not some local brand which might not last long. 2 AAA batteries for the keyboard. 1 AA battery for the mouse.
My initial impressions are it does not give a premium look and feel. However its functional. Dimensions are little big for my taste. I would have liked them a bit smaller. Its a full keyboard with number pad and arrow keys. Function keys are also present with some additional multimedia keys. keyboard layout is in English. Mouse is little noisy when clicking and scrolling. Precision is good. I am used to Logitech mouse which is much quieter compared to Dell. At this price range it is a good deal. Tested all the keys to check for any manufacturing defects. Everything seems to be working fine. There is on-off button on the mouse but there is no such option for the keyboard. So I am not sure how long the batteries will last for the keyboard. Better to keep couple of AAA batteries handy just in case.
Key press and travel is good. Distance between the keys is adequate. Keys are little hard to press at first but I am getting used to it. There is not much delay from key press to displaying text on the screen. Sometimes it is noticeable as I am used to wired keyboard.
There are no LEDs on the keyboard for NUM lock and CAPS lock. There is one very small LED for indicating low battery.
I did not check the wireless range yet. Box says it should work up to 10 meters. We get a single unified nano USB receiver for both keyboard and mouse in the box. Its small in size and will not protrude much outside the USB slot. I did not face any issue with the connection on my Win10 laptop. No additional drivers needed. I was able to use both keyboard and mouse from the very instant the USB receiver was plugged-in.
Verdict: I am happy with the performance of the Dell KM117 keyboard and mouse combo. I will definitely recommend it for people looking for good wireless keyboard and mouse combo with good performance within budget.

Issues with the key. Many of the keys that you type don't get registered. So you have to be careful and see which letters in the word are missing. At times it's frustrating

The key operations on the board are not properly given most important think we can't identify the caps lock option is in ON or OFF state most disadvantage and @option which is not on the key of button with 2 number. It's is present near " option as @ which is the worst think. Remaining is OK.

This is a good keyboard for people who generally use their computers for browsing and light typing. Not suitable for people who intend to type several pages a day as the ergonomics are not good. A mechanical keyboard is better in that case.

Affordable and smooth running wireless keyboard and mouse combo
For work purpose it's good and simply does the work. The USB connects to laptop and both mouse and keyboard works smoothly. You put one AA battery in mouse and two AAA batteries in keyboard. I tried to use
this wireless mousee with 5 feey distance, it was working fine. This is an affordable
wireless keyboard and mouse combo.

DO NOT TYPE. PUNCH THE KEYS
The name DELL sounded good enough to buy the product. Using it was never easy. I have lots of DELL products from USA but this is first time I am buying from DELL INDIA. Threw the keyboard out yesterday and got myself another one from logitech. The keys in DELL were not soft touch and when you are typing fast, at least 50% of the letters will not show up on the screen. I had to keep punching in (and not typing) so as to not miss any letter.
Definitely not worth the price. If you are thinking to buy this, I wold say, think again. There are lot better products out there.

This is my second pair of the same wireless keyboard and mouse. I really like it!
The mouse fits perfectly in my large hands! It's not tiny like some other wireless sets
The battery life is amazing! The keyboard battery lasted longer the 6 months with daily usage! Even the mouse battery life is pretty decent.
They both look premium and good quality products.
The range is sufficient for slightly better than average distance.
You can always buy a usb extender for that if required!
Now for the bad things
The keys are a little hard to press. It takes a little time to get used to it. But they are comfortable. Good travel speed and once you get used to it, it starts feeling faster

worst product. keys stopped working after 3 months..
I bought this product during March-2020. I'm writing this review after 3 months of usage. Within 3 months keyboard started giving problems. Function keys are not working (F10 & F11). I'm a techie and use these Function keys as shortcuts for my development work. Also the mouse seems to be a power hungry device. within 3 months "Duracell ultra alkaline battery" got emptied. I donno when both will stop working. I trusted Dell brand and Amazon, but both ditched me.

Easy Installation
I am using this keyboard and mouse combo with my Macbook Air 10.13.6. i had to use an external keyboard as i extensively use Numeric pad for my work. and due to limited USB port i specifically wanted wireless keyboard and mouse. there is a single dongle for both keyboard and mouse. the pairing was a breeze and took me less than a minute. the mouse had reverse rolling on MacOs because of its inherent windows alignment. However it can be corrected in setting and its working without a problem. just two issues with Keyboard. it is not back lit and it has not light for Caps lock. other than these two issues i have no problem with this package. the key combination for MacOs will also get a day or two to get used to. After that its much simpler to use. would definitely recommend it.

Satisfactory product
Friends, this is a ready to use keyboard and mouse with a provided wireless adapter. I purchased it for use with my Samsung Tablet. Keyboard is fine and with well laid out. It has though only one LED indicator and that too for low battery. You DO NOT get any indication for Caps Lock or Num Lock and this might be an issue while typing passwords. There is no physical key to switch off the keyboard and you might want to take out the batteries everytime for saving them.
The mouse is a regular, lightweight mouse with two buttons and a scrollbar. Mouse has though an ON/OFF switch.

You get in the package two Duracell AAA batteries for keyboard and one AA size battery for mouse. In addition a wireless USB adapter is also provided. With an OTG adapter(normally provided with mobile phones, as i got with my Samsung phone) you can even connect it to your mobile also. The mouse also works great in mobile.

The mouse is a regular, lightweight mouse with two buttons and a scrollbar. Mouse has though an ON/OFF switch.

Good quality, easy to use, very slightly unconventional Alt key placement.
the quality, ease of use, the feel everything is really good. ONly one negative is that there is function key in between the Ctrl and Alt key which is kind of unconventional and makes using Alt+Tab key a little difficult to switch between windows. If you are used to using a normal key board, you need to stretch your thumb a little bit. May be over a period of time I will get used to it. Other than that this is a very good wireless keyboard and mouse and at about Rs. 1300/- this is a good deal. I wanted to buy logitech which was a about 1,000 Rs, but the logitech keyboard did not have the front clips to raise the front side of the keyboard for comfortable hand placement. This one has the front clips.

Very crappy.
I returned it, the mouse and keyboard had very cheap quality of plastic. The mouse wheel was making lot of noise, when scrolling upward. Very crappy.

Bad key layout design
Made a mistake of relying on Amazon choice recommendation while buying this keyboard. Reason, this keyboard is badly designed one especially with function keys. A good design will be function keys F1 to F4 in group a little space and the F5 to F8 little space F9 to F12 to identify the keys easily. But this keyboard doesn't have that separation. Right above backspace key F12 key should come they messed this up by having function key. There should be a provision in mouse or keyboard to keep the usb adapter safe when not in use, like Logitech.
Bought this on 15th aug, can't even return this product now, damn. Regret for not buying HP.

okish keyboard
We cannot ask more from a wireless keyboard for a ~1100 INR.
However, if you are a huge keyboard shortcut user then - beware, the apps key (for right click shortcut) is placed on top of the keyboard instead of beside the ctrl key.
The spacebar is oddly placed, a littler far from left hand, making us press alt instead of space.
No light indicator for num lock, caps, or scroll lock.
Also, we cannot use to for long time, fingers seems to be tiring too fast on these. Keys are a bit hard on press.
Just typing this comment itself is tiring my fingers.

Review goes to seller...Not to product
It was damaged & not in working condition. I have observed multiple time that Appario Seller has sent defective & non working products. This combo was also one of them.
The product box was totally damaged. Cells for Mouse & Keyboard were opened up & seems like used. Keyboard was in working condition but mouse was not in working condition. I feel that it was the used product which was sent to me.
I totally hate Appario Seller's this poor strategy.
Same thing I bought from local market which is 70 Rs costlier than Amazon and it is fresh & awesome product.
If anyone from Appario Team is reading this review then I suggest improve your service instead of sending fake & used products.

Not Happy with Battery Back up and Geniunity.
In first look it's seems awesome product but after 5 days I found following problem :
1) Battery low down if you don't remove every time after use.
2) I can't able use my regular key pad after removing the wireless receiver.
3) When I taken to shop to identify the exact problem they said its not genuine products and I m still in delima whether this product gives warranty if I take this to service center.

Good keyboard
I was worried at first because there wasn't enough protection when I received this item and the Dell box was compressed when I received. Thankfully everything is fine and came in one piece.
To be precise: The keyboard is smooth and precise. Wireless and it's got the basics right. You can't go wrong here. Came with the batteries too.
However, two important things missing here is that:
1. there's no off/on switch for the keyboard. In one sense, it's convenient cause it's like a direct plug & use. But this could affect the battery duration somehow. In case if watching a movie on the laptop, I don't have the option to switch off the keyboard during that one hour gap. The mouse has an on/off switch.
2. The wireless USB adapter doesn't have any option to be stored somewhere within the keyboard or mouse. If you lose it, then this whole keyboard/mouse will become useless.
I hope Dell can think further into integrating these two options into their keyboards as well.
Apart from these two hiccups, this is good keyboard.

Good Product, Initial Disappointment
When the "KM117 Wireless KB + Mouse" was delivered to me in a sealed box and with no visible damages, and I plugged it in, only the Mouse worked. Tried with a different laptop to make sure that the KB was indeed defective. It was, so reached out to Dell (coz. Amazon return window of 10 days had expired) for a replacement, which they did within 4-5 days. The new one works fine.
Along with the KM117, in the same Purchase Order, I also bought Dell D6000 (Dock Station) - to my bad luck, even that was defective. Same story, after replacement, now it works fine. Hence, although my confidence in Dell Product Quality in general still remains high, my confidence on their manufacturing QC (Quality Checks) at the factory have gone down - hope they take note of this. Without this incident, I wouldn't mind giving this product a 5* rating. The saving grace was that the Service provided was prompt and conclusive.
Lessons learnt:
1. Upon receiving products from Amazon (not just Electronics), check immediately for defects and damages to enable a return within the short time frame allowed.
2. It is possible to have Double bad luck, wherein 2/2 products you ordered are defective!
Note: I have just started using the KB and Mouse, it seems fine to me right now. But it's too early for me to comment on the durability, longevity and battery life of this product.

Nice wireless Mouce and Keyboard Combo.
Its a nice Wireless Keyboard and Mouse combo. It works fast & smoothly. Its wireless connectivity is pretty good I able to use it from any corner or room without disconnecting. The only thing that is missing there is Caps lock indicator, I'm unable to to know whether Caps lock is on or off. I need to type to check caps lock.

Product is good...and works very well in initial days like for 3-4 months...
But after 5-6 months key are dose not stay as smooth n soft as it works initial days (when it cam Fresh new one)
In office have 2 unit of same model of Dell wireless keyboard and mouse which is almost 1 yr old but the keys become hard to press.. and it make stucking noise while typing.
It dose not stay Smooth like it working in initial days...!!

Perfect for my needs
I bought this to replace the akeyboard of my Microsoft Surface Pro 3,;which died without warning. I wasn't willing to spend$100 or more again, so I went with this combo. Luckily for me, all my usage of the Surface is at my desk.
Works exactly as described. It has exactly the same layout as my Dell Latitude laptop keyboard, so all my muscle memory keystrokes work. It's been hardly a month since I got it, so I don't yet have an estimate of battery life. The mouse is good too, with smooth movements and good ergonomic design.

A cheap product just like any other in the same price bracket
If you are a moderate to heavy user, please dont buy it.
The keyboard looks great. comfortable to type on. almost no complaints initially after buying.
concern is lifetime. I have used it for 3 years on casual basis. I dont remember facing any issues. since lockdown I am using this as my primary office keyboard. Then I realized the keys started to become sticky. Lots of mistypings. The mouse scroll wheel misses scrolling steps at times.
switched to MK275. I am a lot relieved now, how smooth the keypress works. No mistypings at all.
So, again this is not for heavy usage. For casual and occasional usage, you can very well buy it.

Premium feel with design flaws
Pros:
-Dell does a pretty good job by keeping the design clean and the chiclet keys give a great typing experience - also you get a premium feel just by the appearance!
-The travel in the keys are good and the built is sturdy. Can't comment on the battery backup but there's just one indicator(battery) which probably glows only when the battery requires changing

-The letters printed on the keys are in low contrast - difficult to use the keyboard under low light.
-The stands(pegs) behind which elevate the keyboard for better typing experience are rather short/small
-The keys are spaced out and the arrangement of certain keys like the space bar can be positioned better. hence I won't say it's very ergonomic.
-Does not give a compact feel(compare with Logitech mk215/220) and people with smaller hands might have difficulty to reach out for the keys and will need getting accustomed to.

Hard and Sticky keys
Pro:
1. Decent looks

Cons:
1. The keys are very sticky and hard. The keys have to be pressed right in the middle, else the keys wont depress. This is a big head ache. For typing slow this key board is okay, but even if our have a average typing speed this keyboard causes so many errors.
2. Some times the keys get struck and a single letter remains depressed at an angle, and you may have to hit it another time to get it up.
3. The key travel is low, and the keys are hard and sticky. A bad combination.
I had to hit so many back spaces while typing this review.

Not for professionals
If you are a serious typer, then this keyboard is not for you.
I use mechanical keyboard all the time, I had to buy a keyboard immediately so I choose this one. It was a very bad decision. I'm a software developer, Keyboard is a big part of my day to day job. This keyboard is causing nothing but pain for me. a lot of keypresses is not getting register. key are ver hard. I'm making a lot of typos due to this keyboard.I have tried other rubber dom keyboards as well but this one is very very bad

The reasons for which I bought this product was: (a) sleep design, (b) multimedia functions, (c) wireless (d) mouse size for long hour working (e) good battery life. The day I received the product the keys was hard and one may slip a key or two while typing but mouse was fine. Since, exercising warranty was a longer process I thought of continue using it and see if the keys soften over time.
Overall after two years of experience, design wise this product is good for me. The battery life is also great where one alkaline battery mouse can survive almost 3 months. But now the mouse clicks have started missing as well and I have press several times. Even after two years, the hardness in keys is intact. sometimes it even gets stuck and doesn't press.
I have given a rating of 2 because the product was faulty at first day. I have no clue whether it is the DELL company or seller issue. BTW back then return facility was not available with the product. Not sure what is the status now.

Good Combo
Have been using the keyboard & mouse for over 3 months now, had ordered it to set up WFH just before lockdown.
Keyboard:
For over 5-6 years i have been using the default keyboard of my laptops so do not have a like to like comparison but overall the keys have good travel & the layout is good.
Negatives: Does not have a right click key (i used to use it frequently) & there is no option to swith off connectivity thus would consumer power even during non usage.
Mouse:
I was using a logitech mouse (m170) which was a smaller mouse, compared to that i find the Dell mouse much more comfortable.
Overall a good buy.

Basic functional keyboard with a bad space bar
Product works as supposed to. observed points
1. The keyboard buttons are not as flat as expected from the first pic. Was specifiic about this condiering that it loos similar to a laptop keyboard and the transition would be easy. they are a bit elevated.
2. Clickety Space bar. the space bar is quite noisy, more like a old typewriter. Dont like it. would have prefered a silent keyboard
3. very basic mouse. nice feel to it.
4. Overall quality and finish is excellent.
5. Inbuilt SEARCH button is really cool.
6. The right handside function key amd the menu button should have been swapped. There are nt many functions to warrant 2 buttons.
