My computer is a Dell Inspiron 17-7000 series [model 7779] with battery type 33YDH
--Genuine Dell part--
1 I compared the labelling of my original Dell battery with this one and they match.
2 The battery has several screw-in points and they are all exactly the same as the original. I had previously seen customer reviews of copycat 33YDH batteries that have found differences in this respect.
3 I compared the "Battery report" [PowerCfg -BatteryReport] & "Energy report" [PowerCfg -Energy] for this battery with those for my original battery. The Battery ID & Name parameters are as expected. Its Design Capacity entry is as expected, 55997 [mWh]. I have seen copycat batteries for other computers in which these factors differ.
4 My bundled Dell utility "Dell Power Manager Lite" says it is a Dell battery
So I conclude that this is a Genuine Dell battery that will last well [its nominal life should be 300 charge/discharge cycles as it gradually degrades from its current charging level of 55997mWh].
--Charges properly--
1 It arrived at about 20% charge.
2 It took a quite sensible 2 hours to reach full charge.
3 After this full charge, I ran the reports again and it had, as I expected, charged up to the full Design capacity, 55997 [mWh].
--"Fulfilled by Amazon"--
1 I already know that Amazon fulfils the responsibilities of a retailer properly when it comes to "fulfilled by Amazon" items.
So everything looks good. I've been searching for a genuine Dell battery for two years and I'm really pleased to have found one at last.
My original battery now only charges up to about 38000mWh [a quite decent level of degradation after two years]. I intend to take the back off the computer every other month to swap the batteries over in order to even out the wear n tear. I also have a 'Dell power companion' [external battery] [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-Companion-PW7015L-External-Inspiron/dp/B00XPUEE4K] that reduces demands on these critical internal ones. With any luck, this set of batteries will last until the computer is at least six years old.

This battery is quite hard to track down. I own a Dell Inspiron 7773 which is about five years old. It's a beast with a 17" screen and the worst set of ports ever! How on earth a laptop this big cannot manage an ethernet port is beyond me. A USB C dongle does manage a lot of addons 8)
Anyway, this battery arrived with about 20% charge. 12 screws on the case (PZ1 or perhaps PH1) , gently lever open with a small flat head screw driver. The battery is screwed down with six screws (from memory) - again PZ/PH1. There is a single connector to the motherboard. Connect that before screwing the unit down because it is easier. make sure it is fully home.
The laptop accepts it as real (this one claims to be manufactured by Samsung) and it charges correctly and gives a decent lifetime.

Problem 1: The Dell Inspiron 7570 heads Amazon's advertising for this battery. However, that laptop's battery bay is designed for a 3-cell type - obviously shorter than a 4-cell. So the over-long 4-cell battery had to be returned.
Problem 2: Amazon's returns process fails to mention that lithium-ion batteries are classified as hazardous, so will not be accepted for return by post offices, nor most parcel carriers. After 3 hours trying to find a carrier, I came to the conclusion that Amazon needs to notify returns customers of appropriate transit arrangements with nominated carriers.

Works perfectly, and is an authentic Dell Battery. I used this for my 15" 7577 Dell Inspiron gaming laptop. The battery last around 8 hours exactly how it should when brand new. I was not sure at first whether this would be an authentic battery or third party, however upon close inspection and on the laptop itself it is a real Dell battery. Well worth paying the price, and much cheaper than quoted from Dell.

Having had several less than perfect replacement batteries for various laptops over the years, I was pleasantly surprised with the battery life from this particular model, and, for the first time in a ages have started using the laptop 'unplugged' for several hours at a time (admittedly with low-power settings activated) but it's a 17" high-end machine that can tend to be very power hungry, so very happy with the results. Even with a few hours of use, it has never shown less than 50% charge remaining so have never had to take it to the limit, which in itself is an indication of how good it is. One of my better tech buys.

I bought this battery for my almost 3 year old Inspiron 15 7570. Its built in 42Whr battery was down to 20 minutes of battery life, and was in dire need of replacement. I ordered this bigger battery and it arrived today. I installed it after some tinkering and charged it to 100% before turning my laptop on. I have been using it for 40 minutes and it only dropped by 15%! Power Manager says it is a Dell battery, and battery report states that it is at its 56Whr capacity. I would definitely buy from here again.

Certo cambiare la batteria ad un Dell Inspiron non è proprio facilissimo, ma la batteria di per se è perfetta, sia come tempi di ricarica che come durata, il portatile è rinato!

Con un pò di pazienza e con l'attrezzatura giusta riuscirete da soli a sostituire la batteria. Il pc dopo aver calibrato la batteria con una serie di ricariche ha ripreso vita (andava bene anche prima ma solo attaccato alla corrente). Montata su un pc gaming dell 7577 che raggiunge elevate temperature che la usurerà prematuramente, destinata ad essere sostituita dunque ogni 2 anni se nn prima.

Ricevuta la batteria, ho seguito le istruzioni trovate online per sostituirla e per la prima ricarica (senza accendere il pc, caricare la batteria fino a piena ricarica, cioè poco più di un paio d'ore), e ora è perfetta: arriva anche oltre le 6 ore di autonomia con un normale utilizzo "da ufficio". Pienamente soddisfatto.
