I like USB portability and compatibility, but as far as wireless goes, I have seen some issues with many products in the past. I wasn't sure what to expect from this but needed a portable N card for my network and am pleasantly surprised, but was still hoping that USB/N wireless technology had come a little further.SPEED: Good. Delivers consistent 216-270Mbps even at the furthest point from the router I can find in my house.(using Dlink DIR 655 router in N only mode).RELIABILITY/RANGE: Good, but had hoped for better. No drops so far, but the range is less than my other wireless cards, and most notably, my cheap Belkin USB adapter. This is to be expected from any wireless N product though, and given the consistently awesome speed and absence of dropped signalls, I wouldn't even notice if I wasn't monitoring the range counters during testing and comparisons to my other devices.DURABILITY: Constructed well. Made of plastics like most of the new products, but very solid construction. Really impressive is the extension cradle which has about a 4' extension cable and could literally be used as a paper weight in a hurricane. My Belkin by comparison seems like it would blow across the room with a sneeze. Heat is always a concern with many new products, but not with this. It maintains a steady operating temperature and has small vents to release internal heat.COMPATIBILITY: Of note, I have read many reviews of products causing blue screens and crashes, especially for VISTA 64 bit computers. I am using this on Windows 7 64 bit and have no issues except that the Wireless Connection Manager software doesn't run, which is probably a blessing as most 3rd party wireless managment software causes more issues than good and I always revert back to the Windows wireless management anyway. I am not a MAC user, but it came with MAC utilities for what that is worth and I don't believe I came across any bad reviews from MAC users prior to buying, but I wan't paying attention for that either.Overall a very good product. As with any wireless N product, it carried a higher price tag than the Wireless G products and the range/signal does not live up to all the N hype, but it delivers the N speed I wanted with no issues. This is the mid-level Dlink USB wireless N card at the time of this writing, and maybe the high level offers more range at a higher price tag, but I don't need it. There are some less expensive N cards out there, but read the reviews before you buy, especially if you run MAC, 64 bit, Vista, or plan to use Windows 7 when it comes out as some of the "off brand" and even some familiar branded products are causing some crashes and other issues. For me, this one did not.

Not every wireless adapter is compatible with the Western Digital WDTV Live Plus HD Media player but the D-Link DWA-140 RangeBooster Draft 802.11n Wireless USB Adapter does work nicely. I use the Cisco LinkSys WRT610N router located upstairs with the WDTV Live Plus Media Player located downstairs and get a full strength signal for uninterrupted streaming media.

I purchased this device after going through a lot of reviews for other models and I've been very happy with it. I have the DWA-140 installed in my htpc, connected to my D-Link DIR-655. It easily pulls down full wireless-n speed so that I can watch netflix instant view movies at high quality (as opposed to my previous wireless-g adapter, which could only receive "low" or "medium" quality streams).If you already have a D-Link wireless router, the software can be helpful for getting up and running quickly. I had some dropouts with the D-Link drivers, however, so I recommend that you use the Ralink drivers (download the RT2870 drivers directly from ralink's website).The build quality is actually quite good. It's made of a solid plastic that feels rubberized. It also comes with a weighty USB extension cable/base that's about 3 feet long.Word to the wise: the cheaper version (DWA-130) has issues, particularly one of the hardware revisions does not have 64-bit drivers. Also, some adapters simply won't work well in combination with particular wireless routers (even if they are both wireless-n). Do some research before buying to make sure that your router will work with this adapter and save yourself from potential headaches.The one thing that bothered me about this adapter was the price, but after trying three cheaper adapters and getting nowhere (and some corrupted downloads)... well, sometimes you get what you pay for.

I bought a new Dell desktop machine running Windows 7, and wanted to add a wireless network adapter. While researching many adapters, I found that many of the cheaper ones do not support Windows 7. The D-Link DWA-140 was listed on the Windows 7 compatibility Center ([...]), and was well reviewed by many people. The price was also fairly low.When I received the DWA-140, I did not use the supplied CD. I just plugged it into a USB port, and it was immediately recognized by Windows 7. I was prompted for my WEP code, and it connected to my wireless network without any problems.I still use a 802.11 G router (D-Link DI-524), so I wasn't able to test the 802.11 N function.I was very pleased to have it work right out of the box. Other wireless network adapters I've tried in the past (with Windows 98 and Windows XP) have caused me hours of aggravation.If you get this network adapter, and are using Windows 7, DO NOT use the supplied CD, just plug it in and it works!

having owned a 108mbps DWL-G132 usb adapter from d-link and never having any major issues with it, i got one of these for my flashy new dir-655 router. the old d-link 624 router actually died but the usb adapter never had any real issues.i hoped to get much better wireless speeds with the whole N thing. firstly, grabbed the latest drivers off d-links site, plug in - direct windows to the driver folder for my OS (xp) and away we go. IMPORTANT - do not install the drivers/software off the disc because this installs unnecessary services onto your pc. the default xp/vista wireless connectivity menus are fine if you ask me. also, these little d-link services cause issues with XP SP3 and have even been known to make the connection itself unstable. it's definitely best to run with the driver only.i was connecting at 130mbps to start with, full signal as i am top of the router. running perfectly for a while and still very fast but scratching my head why it's not even faster given my proximity and the top speed of 300mbps on wireless n. another reviewer mentioned running at 130mbps too but was happy enough. well, after a little googling i found out you can fix it up to full speed by changing a router setting. i was thought that would be the case anyway. so if you are running a dir-655 or similar d-link router with this adapter and only getting 130mbps this is what to do...you need to go into manual wireless network settings and change channel width from the default setting of 20mhz to auto (20/40mhz). you can still run a mixed mode wlan and changing the security type didn't make any difference either - its just that channel width setting. broadcasting at 20mhz will always max out at 130mbps and is the more neighbour friendly option, which would explain why its defaulted. now connecting at a smooth 270mbps :)so far big thumbs up for the device, can't understand why there's so many negative reviews for these things. ?25 is a very fair price too, my old turbo G adapter cost over ?40 a few years back. this could all change if it isn't reliable over a period of time but rest assured it will get a lot of use and my review will be updated if anything happens. d-link give a 11 year warranty on all their new wireless equipment. if you ask me that's pretty damn good.

Based on previous reviews here and on other sites, it seems that either this works beautifully or it pukes. I decided to take a chance on this since the price was right and it was recommended for my D-Link DIR-625 router.I connect three computers to my wireless DIR-625 router. I had no problem connecting my two other computers. However, my third computer did not have an available internal slot, so I opted for this USB device.The first time I purchased this, I spent two hours on the phone with Level 1 tech support due to a myriad of issues (wouldn't connect to a hidden SSID, wouldn't connect to an unsecured wireless network from the neighbor, etc.). In the end, the agent could not resolve my issue, and he transferred me to Level 2 support. That Level 2 agent told me he couldn't help me because based on all the work the Level 1 tech performed, he concluded that the card was dead. He told me to exchange it for a new one.The second card was finally able to connect, albeit at a very slow rate. My laptop in the same location was getting about 80% connectivity throughput, whereas this card was getting about 20%. Additionally, it was constantly dropping the connection. After sitting on the phone with support once again, they told me there was a problem with this card.When I returned the second card, I purchased a Belkin N+ MIMO USB card and couldn't be happier. The Belkin installed in minutes and I had no problem configuring the software to connect to my hidden SSID. The Belkin has not dropped the connection at all and I'm getting very good throughput.One last thing: I am a software engineer, so I consider myself pretty adept technically. I'm very familiar with networking and hardware, so this was really a no-brainer for me. Tech support was not willing to do advanced troubleshooting with me, and that was extremely disappointing. Since they weren't willing or able to help, I had to try a different manufacturer, and I'm so glad I did.

I just bought this adapter for use with a brand-new D-Link DIR-825 802.11n router. The router was already configured, with several b/g-class devices were connected on the 2.4GHz band and one n-class device connected on the 5GHz band (and achieving typical 802.11n-class speeds of 100+ Mbps.) The router is only 25 feet away from the network adapter, and there's almost a clear line-of-sight between them.The adapter installed fine, but to my surprise, it couldn't see the 5GHz network. Much configuring and many router+machine reboots did not improve this situation. This is utterly baffling, since the 802.11n network adapter from another manufacturer in another machine can see and connect to the 5GHz network just fine.It could connect fine to the 2.4GHz network, and it reported a connection speed of 270Mbps. However, whenever I initiated a file transfer from any site, the reported connection speed drops to 54Mbps (the convention for 802.11g), and the maximum transfer throughput was a poky 500Kps (4Mbps)... which is about on par with an average-performing 802.11g-class adapter.I completely don't understand why this latest-generation D-Link adapter can't communicate properly with the latest-generation D-Link router. It makes no sense.Bottom line: This is a lame network adapter that utterly fails on its 802.11n promises.

I can't understand the negative reviews for this product. I've never installed a wireless device and I had this fully functional is less than a half hour. I went to the D-Link website and downloaded the lastest drivers and install. The installation was effortless. The only problem I had was on my end. I'm using a Verizon suppplied Westell VersaLink DSL modem/router and needed the encryption key. It took a few minutes to figure out that the key is listed on the back of the box. Once I entered the key the installation was finished. The Westell device doesn't support 4x so I'm restricted to its limitations but the download speeds equal what I getting before with ethernet. I'm using XP sp3 so I can't comment on Vista, MAC etc. I intend to buy two more of these for the other computers in the household. For the money this thing is hard to beat!

I have never installed a wireless router or Adapter before, but I must say this installed using the wizard without any problems. The DWA-140 adapter is on a windows Xp home. I am getting 130mbps upstairs form router passing through a floor and a wall, no lag with cable broadband download speed is 10Mbps from modem which has a 2.4 Ghz phone service as well, did not see any interference . I am very pleased with ease of installation and performance. Highly recommend. Time will about endurance

I discovered that my second computer would not accept the internal adapter card and returned for replacement with the D-Link DWA USB adapter.Glad I did since installation takes only a few minutes and it seems to work just as good...also portable if I ever need to move it to a different computer. I am using the DWA-140 adapter with the D-Link DIR-655 wireless N router. Would highly recommend.

I replaced a 802.11g with the 802.11n. No comparison in performance. It has been great and my experience with D-Link has been excellent when it comes to customer service.

С парнем из "D-Link RangeBooster N USB Adapter DWA-140" в эксплуатацию. Помимо того, что мне нужно установить драйвер под Win 7 вручную, он работает до сих пор без аварий. У других палочек я испытывал неоднократно отключений. Он стоит своих денег!

Дешевле Wi-Fi Stick
За цену вы не ошибетесь. Пропускная способность достаточно хорошо, но в наше время это больше не должно быть Эх такой большой проблемой. Я использую палку иногда в сочетании с Connectify для Wi-Fi на Lan-Verbinung компьютера построить, что работает тоже супер. Глаза Радуются.

Редко использовать устройство пошел таким беспроблемным, как это здесь. Входящего в комплект, установка драйверов, reinnüpseln и быть счастливым. Я ранее тот же аппарат (к образцу), однако с более старым драйвером, но при этом новом заказе производительность (ранее 60%) была улучшена примерно на 80%.
В моем случае мне пришлось сначала удалить старый драйвер (Driver мастер автоматически знал, что делать в какой последовательности), а затем на нем новый. К сожалению, сети не были приняты-материалы по этой причине и мне пришлось устанавливать новые. Во всяком случае, оно того стоило из-за производительности (из-за драйверов или оборудования?).
В конце концов мне пришлось настроить сеть Windows заново, потому что соединение не может быть установлено иначе.
сейчас Это звучит немного verunsichernd, но при первой установке было гораздо проще. Alt клиентов сказал, что драйвер AC стоит, даже если он содержит немного настроить.

Все отлично, я этажом выше. Внизу маршрутизатора нажата кнопка REC... несколько секунд. позже он создал эту связь! Потому что я использую Wi-Fi усилитель я могу судить, связь плохая. Но все на полном довольствии!

Быстро, хорошо, недорого!
D-Link DWA-140 Wireless N-Draft-это USB-W-Lanstick, не оставляет желать ничего лучшего. Он быстр, потолков имеет высокую дальность и на бетон, и его мощности вполне благоприятным. Куплено, установлено, работает отлично. Мой до сих пор третье W-Lanstick подряд, до сих пор с лучшими результатами. Рекомендовать только.

Не рекомендуется. Ноутбук работает ни на ТВ.
Не работает на SAMSUNG TV! Даже не на ноутбуке! Просто не работают. Боюсь, что палка сломалась и Рисунок не совпадает с поставленным.

Быстрая доставка, соответствует товар купили, порт, бесплатно, сделать, что я доволен моей покупки. Этот ключ USB wifi распознается Windows 7 без установки обеспечивает высокую скорость работы. В моем случае 10 мегабит доступны, скачать в 1,3 - 1,7 мегабит в секунду через стену, плитка из гипса и в 10 метрах от box SFR высокоскоростной 20 мегабит.(несколько измерений, выполняемых "тест-ADSL" SFR). Что спросить? поэтому я рекомендую этот ключ, чтобы люди, имеющие конфигурации, подобной моей. Они не должны сожалеть об этом, особенно для небольшой цене.
