8way Switch with 4 ports POE unmanaged.
Seems like a good product but I have just received it. The only thing I would like if the ethernet connections where at the back. If this was to be rack mounted and then would be ideal so you have quick access but for me is just on a shelf in my TV Stand next to my Router. But overall a good strong product.

PERFECT.
Some PoE devices have proprietary standards and get 'fussy' this seems totally by-the-book and has been fine with everything I have tested. Tough build, great device!
Nice to buy a critical piece of kit and have it work so well that it fades from your 'worry list' entering a big project,
and a great price to cap it all

Great Switch For A Home Lab
Really easy to use and great build quality. I am using the switch for my home lab and so far it’s working well plus it drives my home AP’s fine.

Need more ports? Buy it!
A solid design. I have two now because I needed that many ports!

Exellent switch - has a great "quality feel" to it
I have only recently bought this so can't comment on the long term reliability. But it is very solidly built and has a great "quality feel" to it. Most usefully, it came with two small screws for mounting (using a couple of "key holes" in the base of the unit) which I have used to mount it on a wall in a cupboard which keeps it neatly out of the way. (Before buying I compared with similar products from other well known suppliers and this had more features and slightly lower power-consumption - at a competitive price.)

No complaints, it does what it says on the box! Looks good too. Buyers should note that all the connections are made on the front of the unit. If you're replacing an existing unit that had the cables going to the back (like I was) you may need to re-arrange the location on your desk-top and you may need longer network cables. Otherwise, it's great!

Excellent product
Perfect for setting up your home wired network from Tv's to Pc's and Xbox consoles , no more flaky wifi for us.
Flawless and effortless installation , especially good for the Consoles as their connection is now super stable with no lag making the kids gaming much more fun , Tv streaming is also MUCH better.

D-Link 8-port Gigabit Switch
Product does what is is supposed to do and I thought the price was good value. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the led indicators are on the same side as the cable sockets, the psu connection is on the other side so it is not as neat as having a simple front panel with led indicators and all connections on the rear panel per designs from other manufacturers. Other than that the product is fine and good quality.

As others have reported, the power lead is at the rear and cables connect on the front.
This can be a challenge depending on where you plan to use the unit. For me not an issue as its in a storage cupboard
Just plug your cables into it and off you go. I have several of these and so far so good at a very competitive price
