- + Цена качество
- - слабый передатчмк для точки
неплохая точка доступа для дома и лучше её брать в роль клиента чем точки... у самого уверенная работа до 5 мбит/с если уровень сигнала не меньше 18 поднят...

- + Дешево стоит, легко конфигурируется. Один порт LAN - то, что мне было нужно. Легенький и стильный, вписывается в мой интерьер. Мощность сигнала поставил на 12.5%, стоит в дальнем углу 3шки, на кухне ловит на ура - смотрю на ноуте по wi-fi фильмы. На 100% ездил в лифте, где-то теряет-находит в районе 4-5 этажа (сам на 2м). На улицу с ноутом не ходил :)
- - Когда качаю ноутом с п2п множество файлов из множества кусков, без ограничения скорости иногда аппаратик перезагружается (похоже что перегревается что-то). Ткнул в п2п кнопку "Ограничить скорость", причем ограничиваю не сильно, на уровне 2 мбайт в сек (когда ноут на расстоянии метра, дальше не уходил, лень), о недостатке забыл. Когда качаю что-то небольшое, проблемы вообще не наблюдал.
Нормальная такая модель. Меня полностью устраивает.

Теряет пакеты даже если обе точки доступа стоят на расстоянии в 1 метр.

- + Когда покупал сию машинку я посмотрел только на то, что стандарт передачи данных с литерой g (намного быстрее, чем c).
Впрочем, оказалось что скорость всего 54 мбит/с, при том, что большинство роутеров поддерживают 108. Разница ощутимая...

My file server PC and my home theater PC are at nearly opposite ends of my home - separated by a floor and 5 interior walls. Over the past 3 years I've tried multiple options to get fast enough speeds to stream 1080p HD video content between the two. I've been limping along by using a Buffalo 802.11g Ethernet Converter combined with a high-gain antenna (the BNC connection made it trivial to swap out the factory provided antenna) connecting to a very solid router - the Linksys WRT600N 802.11n dual-band router. This gave me about 10-12Mbps sustained data transfer speeds. Just a tad bit slower than my internet connection speed. Sigh.I was about to give up and pay through the nose to get Cat 6 Ethernet installed, when I came across the current generation of 802.11n 5 Ghz media bridges. I considered getting the D-Link DAP-1522 802.11n Wireless Bridge but saw the so-so reviews and noted that it had no external antenna. Given the distance involved for my network, I doubted that the DAP-1522 would do me much good without a high gain antenna. I then saw the DAP-1562 Media Streaming Kit which claimed "4x4 spatial streaming WLAN and data rates up to 600 Mbps". So what the heck, I took a $300 gamble.It worked out. Without fiddling with any specific positioning or orientation I'm getting 112 Mbps sustained between my PCs. Certainly lower than the peak speed promised, but understandable given the distance in this case.This kit comes with two units (hence the cost). One acts as the access point and the other as the bridge. Setup was quite easy - though I was forced to use the enclosed CD to make SSID changes. Out of the box they are configured to work only in the 5 Ghz 802.11n range, which is exactly what I wanted (least interference and max speed).Note that there is only a single Ethernet port on each box. The AP plugs into an existing router or switch, so that's fine. However I would have appreciated another port or two on the bridge unit. I'm assuming I can add a switch to get a PS3/XBox/Wii and the HTPC all wired up at the same time, but I haven't yet tested that.There are 4 antennae on each unit. They rotate individually, but can not be removed / replaced with high gain versions.

I use this to stream video about 50ft through two walls. The throughput is fantastic. Because it offers both 2.4GHz and 5GHz I was able to find unused spectrum in the 5GHz band. Because I'm streaming video I need the high speeds and because I'm going through two walls I need good range; this Duo has both. I've been running this pair of devices for about 1 year with no issues. Setup took a few minutes but since then no maintenance for over a year. I've tried other solutions all of them had throughput or range limitations; but the D-Link DAP-1522 802.11n Wireless Bridge has worked flawlessly.D-Link DAP-1562 Media Streaming Kit Selectable Dual Band, 11n, 600MbpsUpdate Feb 2013I've been running this duo for 2 1/2 years now with no issues. One of the devices is outside in the AZ heat and it's still working flawlessly.

I purchased the D-Link DAP-1562 set in late January 2011. The system operated fine for four months until the number 2 unit failed. Invested over 2.5 hours on the telephone with the overseas based technical team before anyone could even identify the model number and trouble shoot. Alas, it was determined that the unit was faulty. Went through the necessary steps to obtain an RMA number to return the unit. Promptly sent the unit to the return address and waited patiently for three weeks before calling. The folks there apologized for the delay and promptly overnighted a replacement. Bad news, the replacement unit is bad right out of the box. So... Guess what. D-Link instructed me to go back through their technical services team (another two hours of my life?) to obtain a case number that will then allow me to get another RMA number which will entitle me to pay to ship the new faulty unit back for replacement. Shame on D-Link for putting a customer through this routine. I will never buy another D-Link product and I will retell this horrid experience to anyone that is even contemplating purchasing their products. In fact, I just did.

After unpackaging one device out of the pair was dead - power led just blinks once when power is connected and then it plays dead. I requested replacement and in the second pair one of the devices only had wireless led lit, put no power led and otherwise totally unresponsive. I don't know what happened to D-Link this time, but I don't have time to order a third one.

One of the two devices stopped powering on after less than 1 week of use. A call to DLink for replacement was useless, and the tech support refused to give me an RMA for a clearly defective device. Avoid this at all costs.

I had the same problem as the other person who reviewed. One unit died in 5 minutes the other lasted about 20 minutes. Both now have a solid red power LED. To be sure it was the unit, I tried other Dlink 5VDC power adapters and the units still did not function. A product this poor, makes one wonder if D-link actually tests anything before shipment.

This product is simply not ready for release.I purchased 2 kits, so 4 units in total. Two died within an hour of turning them on (as in, they either won't power up, or the power light stays red and the unit will not be operational).As an access point this seems fine, but as a bridge it's not able to consistently keep an Internet connection. Either I won't be able to pull an IP address with a computer connected to the bridge, or I'll be able to, but Internet connectivity will be sporadic.I've deployed dozens of D-Link routers and bridges, so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. These just don't seem to have been sufficiently tested.

I have tried various options including WRT610N+ USB600N but couldnot get the reliable connectivity across 1 floor and 4 walls. It may be because of very dense neighborhood with 10-15 APs and causing lot of interference.This device comes with single eth port so you need multiple of such Kits. I tried the included client bridge with WRT610N AP but could not get expected performance. It works best in pair sold as the kit.

I used this kit to stream video, as the built in wifi on NAS was not good enough to transmit HD video at the location my TV was hooked up.
