Good but unsure about lid mechanism
We had a similar model of Cuisinart kettle for over 6 years which was very reliable (until in the end it started being a bit flakey turning on and off but still did the job most of the time). This new one is similar to the old one and works well in most way except unfortunately even after a couple of months the lid is very slow opening on button press and often needs pulling open. I may well have to have it replaced. Other than that they are good kettles - solid, boils fast, show the temperature both increasing and dropping once left.

Beware the weight.
I have had this kettle for just over 2 months, and would agree with some other reviews that it is a heavy kettle.
Depending on the strength of your wrists, I reckon it would take 2 hands to fill to the top.
The water level gauge is difficult to read, and perhaps, most disappointedly, already the "silver" is wearing off the temperature control switch.
As there are only two of us at home, it does not receive what I would consider heavy use.

Bring back the blue light!
Bought same again as loved old one. Would have been all 5 stars but let down by the fact that although page 8, comment 5 says “displays current water temperature at all times “ it’s misleading as back light does not come on when main switch is turned on so temp dial is dark and can only be seen when switched on to boil. Thought it was faulty but saw a similar comment from someone else. I know it’s newer and “Eco friendly” but mine is switched off at the mains after use! I miss that blue light that showed it was working before I switched on to boil. 😒

Very nice Kettle but had issues after 1 month
Really like the kettle. Very well made and good quality materials, colour was very nice (I got the Pistachio one) . Liked the small profile created by having the controls on the handle instead of the base station.
However I had issues with mine. When selecting 85 degree preset the display showed 56 and kept boiling to 100 degrees then eventually cutting out at 100. This kept happening and I requested a replacement from Amazon. They sent a replacement out within a few days but the replacement had the exact same issue. Have returned both for a refund and purchased a different brand kettle (Amazon customer service great as always). Shame I really liked it.

Quality no more!
Bought this kettle to replace older version which had gotten noisy after 4 plus years completely trouble free. This new one has become just as noisy creaking and banging in three weeks as the old one. Dear o dear How long will this one last. The quality of kitchen electrical products have become a terrible. Expensive mistake from Cuisinart just like their toaster!

Very much as before
I have had three of these kettles, as I use it for coffee meaning I like the temp. control for not boiling the water. This kettle has different controls as the blue control light goes out once used. I appears lighter than the older models but still works well. Time will tell if it lasts.

Great Kettle:-)
Me and my boyfriend we love tea so kettle is quite important for us. We had great (still working) kettle we bought from Amazon 6 yrs ago but i was fancy some up grade and i done 3 days research on kettles. This one (Couisinart) is great. We bought in light green colour is lovely, is getting hot so is better not touching till is cool but handle is cold, fast and quite, but just give you gentle noise when is boiled, nice blue light is on just when is working then is no light just on the screen showing temp. Inside the kettle or remain water, no finger marks on this colour, so far so good no problems we are using 30 times a day at last for a 2 weeks now we love it ! Thank you

This is a nice kettle, it looks good and works well.
We were going to buy the same kettle but not multi-temp, but the reviews for it indicated that the on/off switch was often faulty so, after looking at many other kettles, we settled on this one.
We like the controls being in the handle (since reviews on kettles with controls in the base suggested that these were unreliable, often due to contamination of the electrical connectors for the sensors).
There are two reasons why it didn't get five stars:
It is quite heavy - not a problem but noticeable after using our plastic 'emergency' kettle.
It is difficult to judge small quantities of water for, say, just a single cup of tea.
Hope it lasts - it should do for the price!!

Quality worsened over the years! Cheap made..
I had this brand and same product for over 7 years until it stopped heating. Got the same trusting it is a great durable product! They have changed the quality big time. A lot more plastic used in the frame and the base. And cheaper made! Not happy with this product anymore. Rather buy something cheaper...

Lid broke after 5 months
Decent kettle, nice features but the lid broke after 5 months - kind of a big let down for an item of this price. Having said that, Cuisinart customer service made it really easy to sort out and get a replacement. Hopefully we got unlucky with the first one.

Lovely kettle
Excellent kettle well made expensive but the temperature control is good for my green tea.
This is my 3rd kettle as my last one was faulty the lid didn’t work. otherwise a very good kettle.

Reliable & good quality
Bought this kettle to replace our old one of the same model. Quality product. Love the fact you can boil it to an 85% temperature which is perfect for coffee & green tea. It also reduces the amount of steam produced.

A very high quality electric kettle
I've had the Cuisinart electric kettle for a month now. It is a gorgeous stainless steel kettle,very elegant "hi-tech" looking. Seems to be very well made. It works perfectly.
I highly recommend it.
The only exception would be - since it's a bit heavy, don't buy it for someone who is frail.
Other then that it's a fantastic kettle.

Favourite kettle
I have been buying these kettles since they were first produced. They are well made and the different temperatures are great for different drinks. Obviously they are not cheap but they last quite a long time. I hope Cuisinart do not stop making them.

Little disappointed
Lid fails to open correctly 50% of the time which is annoying, on the plus side it’s simple to use and quick to boil. I have requested amazon to change the kettle to which is on the way. Will update when the next one arrives.

CUISINART KETTLE BROKE 3 MONTHS
Broke after only 3 months.. Ridiculous for a cuisinart kettle expected much longer than this and it has a 3year guarantee luckily.. Sent it back to amazon for replacement and if the next one is the same that will go back to and no more cuisinart for me..

Temperature gauge is very handy
Quick to boil and the temperature gauge is very useful to set the temperature and to see what the current temperature of the water is. Only other thing to be aware of is the LED temperature gauge is always on.

had a kettle like this which lasted 4.5 years with regular use by a 4person household who are tea and coffee addicts! only had to replace it because I had a mishap and broke the lid. hoping this one does as well
