I have owned dozens and dozens of headphones over the years ranging in price from $70 to $600+. I needed to find a replacement for my Sony DR-BT50 bluetooth headphones because my new Samsung Galaxy S3 only supports SBC and only with a bitpool of 31 (a bug or oversight) which leaves the bitrate so low that audio is highly compressed. I rip all my CDs at Lame 320K because I really can hear the difference between 256K and 320K.After pairing one of my other headsets to my S3, a pair of Sennheiser MM100's, I discovered that the sound was not degraded like my BT50's. After doing some research, I discovered the MM100's support aptX even though it's not listed in the specs and that the Galaxy S3 is one of the first phones to also support aptX.I like the MM100's, but they're very lightweight and don't have a great deal of power and aren't quite as full as I want from over the ear headphones.First up was the Sennheiser mm500x. Bluetooth audio quality clearly survived without any obvious compression(aptX is almost lossless). But the sound quality from the actual cans was awful. Mids and bass are completely thin. I'm not a bass junky but I like a flat response. i.e. a truly flat response headphone will have good bass and treble. It's hard to get both right. The mm500x's are over the ear medium sized headphones and their build quality is outstanding. They look and feel the $350 price tag. Unfortunately, they don't sound it. Even my older mm100's sound way better.Next up was the wp-450's. These look nice, but they have too much cheap plastic chrome. A stark contrast to the Sennheisers solid brushed aluminum bits. The sound quality from these was even worse than the Sennheisers. The good thing though, like the Sennheisers, the head band holds the cans firmly against the ears.I had also gotten the WP-350's by mistake. I had tried to cancel the order within 5 minutes of placing it but it still shipped. And boy am I glad they did. I decided to try them and didn't hold out much hope as the electrics and drivers are identical to the 450s and cost 2/3rds the price. To my surpise, the sound quality on these is outstanding. I soon realized the difference between the more expensive 450s and the cheaper 350s. It's the housing and port design. The 350s have bigger housings (not meant to fold) and have these air ports holes on the back side. These cans are truly flat and neutral sounding...something I've never heard in any BT headphone in the past. The bass is very clean without being distorted or over stated. If your a bass junky and you want really powerful bass, these cans respond really well to equalization. i.e try mixzing on your android and turn on the eq and go to the 12 db range setting, then set the 31 hz slider up. For the bass junkies, this will reward you with powerful and undistorted bass(don't forget to turn the gain down in the eq if it starts flashing red).If you own a pair of 350s currently and want to know what the 450s sound like, simpley put your fingers over the two port holes on the back of the cans and that's *exactly* how the 450s sound. So for the price, these headphones are truly miracles. I still need a good over the ear solution but have pretty much discounted the Beats due to reviews on sound quality. Still, the market is young and aptX is exploding which is an incentive to develop high end streaming bt headphones, so I would expect to see many more options in the next year.I gave these 5 out of 5 because for what they are intended, they excel. Are they even as good as a pair of $70 MDR-V6's? No, but they're not that far off. In fact, I'll bet 99% of the population wouldn't be able to tell you which is better. What would I have preferred? Over the ear headphones that fold like my BT50s. Also, these don't go as loud as the BT50s which isn't normally an issue as I don't blast music, but I occasionally listen to pod casts while mowing the lawn and like to wear earplugs and then headphones over the plugs. The 350s aren't quite loud enough to get through the ear plugs when mowing the lawn, but I don't need sound quality for that so the BT50s will still work fine there.

I own a lot of different headphones, including a wired pair for gaming and a noise-canceling in-ear pair. I really like Creative products; so, I was intrigued when I saw these Bluetooth headphones with a built in microphone on sale. The reviews were fair at best, but I'd been pleasantly surprised with other Creative products and found a coupon on Creative's site giving 30% off on bluetooth headphones. So, it was the perfect time to give them a try.Well, after using them for about 2 weeks, I'm quite happy with them. They arrived quickly from Amazon in perfect condition. Charging them via USB to my computer took about 2 hours. (Of note, the red light does not shut off when charged; it simply indicates that they are attached for charging.) I read in one of the reviews that the headphones did not stay paired. This has not been the case for me. I paired them easily with my tablet (Creative ZiiO 10) and find them listed each time I turn the tablet's bluetooth on. They connect quickly and work without any problems. The sound is excellent, and I can control the volume either from the buttons on the headphones or from my tablet's volume controls. The other headphone button controls play/pause and also works fine. Now, for the biggest complaint that I saw in the reviews, comfort. These headphones are designed to fit tightly, for "active" lifestyles. The packaging actually shows a guy riding a bike and wearing them. So, I guess it's only fair to expect a tight fitting pair of headphones. The instructions explain how to position them to get them to sit properly in the ear canal. It's actually quite easy once you get the hang of it. The instructions also comment on finding the best fitting ear pieces (small, med or large). I think this is one of the most important points, since the ear piece (cushion) applies the most pressure in the ear canal; it also helps to eliminate outside noise from getting in (noise isolating). So, trying the different ear cushions to find the best fit for each ear is very important (even if one ear uses a size different from the other). With them properly placed and fitting within the ear canal, these headphones are really nice. After one hour, I'm still fine keeping them in. I might move them slightly if the position seems too tight; otherwise, I can keep them in for a long time without really noticing them. And, best of all is that they are Bluetooth and have no wires to worry about. I love this and have become a real Bluetooth fanatic, never having used this feature until these headphones (and a Bluetooth speaker, Big Blue from Brookstone). My goal is to replace my wired electronics (as quickly as possible over time) with Bluetooth equipment and avoid those annoyances! These headphones are a nice start.

This headset delivers amazing sound quality - even better than the Creative WP 300. I use these with my Kindle HD and they are a dream when used via the on-board Bluetooth connection. Pairing is simple and I was ecstatic find that they can be paired with 2 devices at a time. For me, this means that I can pair with my phone at the same time I'm paired with my Kindle. While watching a movie I'll get a chime when I have a phone call. One press of a button on the headphones, and I'm talking on the phone and my movie has been paused for me. The coolest part? When I hang up the phone my movie automatically restarts.Call quality when paired with the phone is quite good with most callers on the receiving end being completely unaware that I am speaking to them hands-free. I can even use the voice command texting feature on my phone with no errors. The microphone is indeed invisible - I haven't located it yet though it seems to work very effectively. The control switches are convenient once you get accustomed to their use. One of the nicest features of this headset is that they fold down to fit inside a travel bag, making them a great high performance option for travelling. The padded earpieces are very nice and act as an effective noise cancelling buffer. They are a bit snug and you may find yourself removing post-style earrings as they tend to get squished into your head a bit. If you have a larger-than-average head you may find them to be too snug. They are adjustable so this may not prove to be a big issue.Consider me impressed.

This is my first review of a product as this is the first time I felt strongly enough about a product to do a review. This headset was given to me as a present as I'm quite active and like to run. I charged it and took it out for its maiden journey on my run on the weekend and was quite disappointed. Maybe it's the shape of my ear canals but the headset kept coming loose and I had to keep pushing it back in ever so often. After the 5th km of dealing with this, I just took it out altogether and completed my run. During the warmdown, I thought I'd put it on again and listen to some music. I was shocked to hear nothing but static. When I got home, I cleaned it and charged it. After charging, though, the headset would not turn on at all. I contacted customer service and after exchanging emails over a week, was informed to send it in to the service centre. At the service centre, the technician evaluated it and also came to the conclusion that the headset was faulty. He asked me what I was doing when it happened and he said it was somewhat unsurprising. Apparently on some of the older batches, the PCB is not shielded and the sweat could have caused a short circuit. This is highly disappointing as this headset is marketed as one that is suitable for active people (the box even has a cyclist on it). Overall, I found it to be a complete waste of time and money. The next bluetooth headset I'll get for running will be Jaybirds.

I can't believe these are Creative! Happily Surprised! It is important to acknowledge I'm a big person with a small head. I wear the smallest adult male motorcycle helmet they make and it's still too big. I tell you this because I have had three pairs of Bluetooth headphones (Sony, off brand, & Motorola) and I would have to let them balance on my head to work. I would wear a hat just to get some pressure on my ears. That is not the case with these. These are tight, and I'm sure that they would be too tight for someone with a much larger head. I suspect even headache tight. I bet perfect for a female. I can ride a bike with them, workout with them. The sound quality is very good, I would dare say better then wired headphones in the same price range ( I have had Sennheiser, Bose,Sony in the $75 +/-range). These can be very loud. I was listening to one song and worried they were not going to be able to keep up with the loud downtown, then Journey's "Stone in Love" came on and I had to cut volume in half. So they have some horsepower, it could be how your MP3s are recorded. The folding is nice. The lack of a HARD CASE is terrible, I'd pay $10 bucks extra for a hard case. However I found a great solution. I m storing them in a Anchor Hocking (no idea found it in the kitchen) 3 cup, plastic rectangle, tupperware container.and it fits perfectly in there.

... as the title states i really wanted to save some money and not like these... i stared at these and the wp-300's and finally took the jump... unfortunately (or fortunately?) i am hooked.at first opening box i was like, ok definitely don't like these. cups are WAAAY too small... put them on me and was like, ok they are going back... i look like im wearing a girls headband since they are so small. but then i turned them on... and i convinced myself i don't care how i look... and they dont look so bad after all.now some background... i have had S9's and S9hd.. didn't like those since they hurt my ears, the mic never picked up my voice and had to yell, and using them at work people would sneak up on me since i couldnt hear them. so i went with S805's... they were massive, though sounded good they didnt get loud enough for nyc subways, and annoying blue light. then i went to the previous winners, which were motorola s305's... though didnt get loud enough for the subway, i just used em for work, were the right size, though they hurt my ears after extended use... i liked them.so enough about NOT this product. this wins in all categories. i read over and over to see if anyone says they get loud and nobody says it... so i will say it first, they get loud. blast your music in these, and they are louder than the sound isolating s9hd's. sound is clear too, better than i can expect from bluetooth especially at this volume level. good bass, and clear highs. slight muddiness when full blast and if theres a lot going on in the music, but for non audiophiles, this won't be noticed.in comparison to wired headsets, i have shure srh440's, shure SE215, shure SCL4's, beats solo... and they sound better than the beats solo, and close to the srh440's... and almost on par with IED's. not to mention again that these are bluetooth wireless... really?fit they are great, super light that i barely notice them on.... the cups are super soft so i doubt id feel annoyed by them even after long periods even if they are sitting on my ears. only downside is the blue light again, but its small and ill probably cover them easily. man im blasting multiple music genres while typing this and it is amazing me.well thanks amazon for taking my money again on a great product (and in reality i should've got these tomorrow, but they came a day early than the 2 day prime!) well, i guess to convince myself that i saved money on this purchase is the fact that i am no longer looking blowing a wad of cash at the bowers & wilkins p5's... since finally theres a wireless set that hits all the notes i want in a headset.

With bluetooth ear buds becoming more common, it's nice to see less expensive entries in the market. These really fit the bill for me in all aspects. I was worried that audio quality would suffer without the physical connection like traditional ear buds but that was absolutely not the case. The sound is clear and crisp, though it is lacking in bass. Some other sets in this price range can sound very tinny but Creative has made a nice affordable wireless headset without sacrificing quality. Call quality is good as well. No one seemed to notice I was using a new headset and when I asked later in the conversation, my friend said he had no trouble hearing me at all, even walking downtown during the day when it's a zoo of background noises.Pairing was a cinch and I have had no issues with it pairing up whenever I need it. The pairing process is quick, too. I have had sets that take up to a minute just to sync with my iPhone. In regards to comfort, I have noticed some people have said this headset is not comfortable at all. I would like to share that these bluetooth ear bud style headsets are fairly new to the market and this is something that the majority of them suffer from. Where a traditional wired headset only has the weight of the tiny buds and the cord, all bluetooth headsets have the full weight of the unit resting on your ears. It's an area that most manufacturers have yet to perfect, but in general Jabra does well at minimizing the weight of their headsets to provide maximum comfort but they are also much more expensive. Anytime you have something of weight hanging from your ears, it will become annoying over time. I wouldn't say that these are uncomfortable by any means, but extended wear of any headset will cause ear fatigue for sure. Even my standard Apple ear buds hurt my ears after hours of use.Overall, I think the Creative WP-250 Active bluetooth headset is a good buy for the current price. It's just the right balance of features to make it an attractive alternative over the competition.

It pains me to have to write a scathing review of this nature because I am a huge fan of Creative wireless Bluetooth headphones! My favorite headset by this manufacturer is and will always be the Creative WP-350. I use them everyday and absolutely love them. I was planning on using these headsets as a backup to my favorite Creative WP-350 headphones when those needed charging. I found out rather quickly how poorly these headphones actually perform.Let me start off by saying that when I pulled out the headphones from their packaging, I already knew that they would fall short and not live up to my expectations merely just by looking at them. First and foremost the headphones are extremely flimsy which isn't necessarily a bad thing but these headphones take flimsy to whole different level! While I was trying to bend and shape them properly over my ears they kept falling off, the earpieces wouldn't stay in my ears and having the option to adjust or secure them is non-existent. You basically will not be able to tighten or loosen them up even if you wanted to.The sound quality is horrible. I have paired these headphones with an iPad 2, Android cellphone, iPhone, Creative Zen XFi MP3 and Video Player to see whether or not the sound would be much better on various devices or if it was just the headphones that were causing the issues with sound quality. I found out that the sound quality was not only poor but the headsets kept disconnecting from each device that I tested the headphones with. They wouldn't stay connected with any of the devices even though I unpaired them or chose "forget this device" option under the Bluetooth settings for each device that I tested the headphones with.My biggest problems overall with these headphones are that they're wobbly, flimsy and that the sound quality is beyond terrible. They also don't stay on my ears and they feel really awkward while wearing them. These are by far the worst set of Bluetooth headphones that I have ever come across. I am going to stick with my Creative WP-350 headsets that I love so much. It would have been really nice to use these as a backup. I am also taking into consideration that maybe I just received a dysfunctional pair in regards to the connectivity and sound quality issues but overall I absolutely hate these headphones especially the way that they are made. I will not recommend these headsets to anyone!

This is a good quality Bluetooth headphone, not the world's best ever headphones, but good for listening to music as you move around the house, or if you are working out, without having to turn the speakers on full blast.I got these at the same time as the GG-Solaceair, so how do they compare? (I don't like headphones that hook over your ear and behind your neck - there are several Bluetooth headphones like this at the moment).Well, the main advantages of the Creative headphone is that they still work if you have the charging cord plugged in. The GG-Solaceair will not work with the charger cord plugged in. But at least that charger cord is just a generic mini-USB cord. The GG-Solaceair, however, is MUCH LIGHTER, and don't press on your head as tightly and so is much more comfortable to wear around the house for an extended period of time. The Creative headphone also tends to have better reception than the GG-Solaceair - it cuts out much less as I walk to the opposite end of the house than the GG-Solaceair.The sound from each headphone, as might be expected, is slightly different. The Creative headphone has somewhat better clarity in the midrange, but, not being an audiophile, both headphones sound just fine to me.The microphones for both headphones are located by the speakers, i.e., next to your ear, which means they are not pointed at your mouth, and so, as might be expected, they tend to pick up room noise.Overall, just for the sheer lightness and omfort, I would pick the GG-Solaceair over this Creative headphone, which is heavier and fits more tightly around your ears than I would like.

This is my 2nd pair of bluetooth headphones. My first were a pair of Jabra B620s. The problem with those were the volume (too low), comfort, and buttons that were mistakenly pressed too easily. The Creative WP 250 addressed all of these problems.I've had these headphones for about 3 weeks and am very happy with them. I have paired them with an iPhone 4s and an iPad 2. The pairing process was easy. There are controls to answer a call, fast forward, pause, play, and volume buttons. The play controls even work for apps such as Youtube, Netflix, and Rdio.People have been complaining about the comfort of the headphones. I was ready to return the headphones the day I got them. But after finding the appropriate size buds (it comes with three) and a little time and adjustment, I can honestly say that they're quite comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Don't get wrong, you won't forget that you're wearing them but you're ears won't hurt from them either. I've worked out, jumped around, ran, walk, etc without ever having to adjust them. The wrap around wire and the way the earpieces sit on your ear are designed in such a way where you can still wear a cap, sunglasses, etc.If you're looking for a buying a pair of bluetooth headphones, then you're not an audiophile. I listen to everything from hip-hop to indie rock and am impressed every time I use these. The headphones are quite loud and while the headphones are lacking in bass response, they aren't necessarily treble-y either. They're very even sounding headphones, IMO. On some songs I've even heard parts of songs that I never noticed before on regular speakers.I've use this 1 time for a phone call and the person on the other end never complained of how sounded on his end. He came through both earpieces loud and clear too.Not worrying about pulling wires or being tethered to your device is quite liberating (literally). The robust controls on the headphones is just the icing on the cake. The minor trade-off (and it really is minor) in sound quality is a no-brainer. If you're looking for a set of BT headphones(especially for an active lifestyle) then this is the one.

My first bluetooth headphones, so I have little to judge them by. They're very lightweight, controls are easy, headband is easily adjustable and not too tight, and they hold a charge for a pretty good while. They paired no problem with my Mac laptop and my iPhone -- haven't tried answering calls on them, as I generally use them while watching movies on the computer. They do have a good bit of crackle 'n' pop, but I think some degree of that is standard/unavoidable for bluetooth cans? And they certainly have less noise than the stupid wireless (not bluetooth) Sonys I have, which, WHAT are you getting interference from, GEEZ, I have nothing else on that frequency in the whole house, are you fighting with the neighbor's cordless phone or I don't EVEN. UGH.Anyway. Not bad! Convenient, good battery life, and I no longer nearly choke myself with my earbud cord if I get up from the laptop in a hurry, so yay.

I just got these today. So, let's get to it.First: These are uncormfortable headphones. I have a pair of Skullcandy headphones ($10 on amazon, and I also have a koss pair) that are (while not bluetooth) infinitely more comfortable to wear over an extended period of time. The headphones take quite a while to manipulate to get comfortable. The piece that goes around your head is a bendable wire, it allows you to conform it to your ears/head. However, the wire is difficult to bend to the right shape, and good luck if you've made too many bends because you'll spend a while trying to tweak back to that allllmost perfect feeling you had (but it just wasn't that perfect so you HAD to mess with it). They hurt your ears after 15-20 minutes. I'm not kidding about this. Everyone has complained about it on here, and it's the truth. While I understand peoples ears are different (because i thought everyone was crazy too)...it just doesn't matter. They hurt.Second: IF you are still going to buy these, and ignore that last warning....you're in for my secret advice right now: wear them upside down. yes, so the wire goes under your ear. might sound crazy, but i can now bear to wear them for about an hour. hey...that's 40 more minutes.Third: The sound quality is NOT better than my $10 skullcandy headphones. the "deep bass" someone wrote of...is not true. unless you came from the stock ipod earphones...then yes these are better. But if you've had buds before...these aren't special.Fourth: Look for something else, even if you have to spend $10-$20 more. It will be worth it. I've had 2 different bluetooth headphones like these now...and they were both horrible experiences. Yes. 1 day of these has been a horrible experience. I'm still looking myself because i want a nice comfortable music/phone bluetooth set, but not too outrageous on the price... but maybe it's time to pony up.

I've had these for three months now and I'm a big fan. I went from having Nokia BH-503 headphones - and while the sound was good on those, getting them paired to a computer was a mini battle every time...If you did get it paired, then for some reason had to unpair them - it was virtually impossible to pair them again without rebooting the computer. The Creative WP-450's pair every time - no problem. The sound is awesome - deep base, clear music. I wore them on a flight, and I was able to not have them turned up as far as they go just to hear what I'm listening to over the noise of the airplane. When it says 'noise cancelling' - believe it. It's not so much that you can't hear a thing around you, but it makes it so you can hear what you are trying to listen to with no problems.I use these just about every day at work - and would highly recommend them. They don't stay on as well as the Nokia's - so I'd say be careful if you want to get these for exercising (at least they don't for me).

The wp-450 is a step in the wrong direction. The Wp-350 offers much better volume, I have yet to understand why bluetooth headphone manufacturers make headphones that don't allow for good volume. The Wp-350 set has better than average volume, the Wp-450 set is marginal at best. Almost all reviews on bluetooth headphones reference audio quality, but never mention volume. That's a lovely tactic for selling a product, but what's the point if you can't enjoy it at the level that suits you. Try researching loud bluetooth headphones, you will have better luck getting information on Jimmy Hoffa's whereabouts. In ending, skip the the Wp-450, go with Wp-350, and hope next year is better. By the way, skip the Beats too.
