Although the memory sent to me was defective, I got on Corsair's website and got an RMA to return it to them for an exchange. When my new memory arrived I put it in my i5 intel core duo Alienware and got noticeable improvement. I definitely recommend this memory upgrade to anyone.I would not, however, recommend using it with your older 1333 ram. While this memory is 1333, it would not boot up with my 2GB of 1333 ram that came with my Alienware about 4 years ago. You can try it with your's but be prepared to remove your old memory from you system.My system (from Dell) had two sticks of 2GB and two sticks of 1GB. I wanted to replace the two 2GBs as they crapped out. But I had to remove the two 1GBs as well.

I bought two (2) XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) cards. One of them failed.From the beginning (after building my computer) I periodically got blue screens on my computer and programs would crash every now and then. It started happening more often. I would get memory error messages. I wasn't sure what was causing the problem. I tweaked with settings and everything.I decided I would try to pull out the memory card thinking it may be a problem with a physical memory stick.So I finally took out one of the memory cards and restarted. I started up Win7 and worked for a few minutes until it crashed again. I tried reversing (switching) and put in the card I just took out.It worked!And my computer hasn't crashed anymore leading me to conclude the memory stick was the culprit. Unfortunately, I think I'm past my warranty period now.

There's really not much you can say about memory. Speed sure, but capacity and reliability is what we're looking for the most. Fortunately this has it. I purchased two of these for a total of 8GB's of RAM on my system and upon installing it, it worked.I did have an incident where one of my sticks went bad, however I anticipate it was an error on my part. Fortunately Amazon.com was fantastic. They shipped me a new one before I even had to send the old one back and provided me a paid shipping label to return the malfunctioning one.If you're looking for memory and you're not looking for anything incredibly specific, I'd say you're safe to purchase this and feel comfortable that it'll get the job done.

We have 3 machines we almost identical specs running here, and when we discovered our server needed some new ram, I was worried it was another trip to the local frys for 120 dollar kit set, to get home and discover it was broken (has happened to me twice now) figured I'd give amazon a shake for ram, and found this 4gb stick, which is identical to the sticks used in the two 16gig kits we'd purchased prior for considerably more. I was half expecting broken dimms or worse the wrong item. what I got was a surprise in that the 3 I ordered were in factory sealed boxes, shipped with plenty of bubble wrap and overall I was very happen..For those thinking of buying these... I suggest them. The XMS3 ram from corsair seems at least to me to be some of the best you can get. and its rarely processor dependent, which some ram is.. watch out for those "Designed for" logos if your looking for upgrades.. there is a corsair ram (XMS5) that is specific for Intel processors and can actually damage AMD chip sets if your not careful.

I bought an extra 4GB ram stick for my computer, and used it for a few months but once I started using more resource intensive programs I started getting Bluescreen crashes, I wnet to several online forums for help and one showed me how to test my Ram for errors, I tested both of my RAM sticks individually and this one had about 500 errors after an hour of testing...... unfortunately it was past my 30 day window and I cannot return the product, or exchange it so I don't know if it was just this stick or all the ones they sell that are corrupt...........

Bought 2 sets of 12GB (3 x 4GB) for a total of 24GB to run virtual machines on Windows 7. Installation was literally plug and play. PC booted right up and identified all 24GB without any issues. It was then I discovered my 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium would only utilize 16GB (even it found 24GB, thanks Microsoft...)As I was planning on running multiple virtual machines, I had no choice but to upgrade to 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate (Professional supports larger memory space too). Once the OS upgrade had been completed the machine started utilizing the entire 24GB installed memory. PC has been running rock stable since the upgrade.As my PC has a Core i7 920, these modules are actually running at 1066 instead of the rated 1333 unless I tweak the BIOS option. But I am not noticing any difference since I am using it to run virtual PCs.Corsair makes excellent memory modules at a reasonable price. I am very glad these modules work right out of the box without any issues. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I am able to play everything I want to. BF3, CoD, WoW, Diablo all on ultra settings no problem. CPU runs about 32 - 34 degrees Celsius. I purchased this RAM thinking it was going to be a nice upgrade for the 4GB I had installed on my PC. Nope, it came dead as a doornail. I returned it. This is Corsair's lower end RAM, so I would suggest springing for better RAM if you don't like taking chances. Both sticks were DOA.

Pros: Works as advertised. 12GB @1333 running triple channel with a core i7 930 on a GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 board.Cons: n/aOther Thoughts: I replaced 3x2GB 1600 ram and one of the new sticks wasn't working. The BIOS and Windows 7 x64 saw 12GBs but win7 showed 4GB reserved for hardware. I tried the ram in other machines and it worked just fine. I isolated the troublesome stick when the machine started up and said that there was trouble overclocking. I remembered I had to manually change the ram settings for this board. Once I changed the settings to from 1600 8-8-8-8-22 1.65v to 1333 9-9-9-24 1.5v everything worked perfectly.

Recently upgraded my system from 12GB RAM to 24 using 3 sets of Corsair XMS3 (2x4GB). Installation was a breeze and these have been running reliably ever since. Highly recommended!

Look its just ram the way i see it , either it gets a 5 star or a 0, and it worked, delivery was expeditious and ram was in great packaging and when i plugged it in(if you are not computer save just make sure your PC is off before you swap any hardware) it worked.

As other reviewers have stated, it was packaged like a letter (no bubble wrap or styrofoam). But it works just fine, was shipped promptly. I have no complaints. Great buy for the price.

Great RAM but does get pretty hot with out OC'ing. Loses one star for that.Think about a Cooler for them. CORSAIR CMXAF2 Fan & Heatsinks

I like Corsair's XMS memory primarily because of the simple heat preader that (in my opinion) reduces static discharge issues and it looks pretty. Also Corsair's warranty is very simple to use.Stuck this module in a simple budget build with an AMD X270 and a Biostar motherboard and it has worked without a hitch. Build was sold off to a friend of a friend and he has no complaints to date.Intend to buy more fora mini itx build soon

I priced various brands of memory chips. This was the best value..After installation, I experienced no problems. They worked without fail on my Asus CM1831AD computer.

I bought two 4GB RAMs. After I installed them on my Z77 Mother board with i5 3570, my system keeps crashing and BSOD!!! I can even extract my RAR files, errors are everywhere! At first, I thought it was a software problem so I tried to reinstall my system. You know what? I could not even run my windows installations!!! However, the memory test said those RAMs are OK. Under great doubt, I bought kingston hyperX 1600 2x4GB RAMs, which are faster and $5 cheaper.(yes, 1600 2X4 GB only for $34.99) you know what? The problems are gone! The test said Corsair mems are ok, but the practice told me that these RAMS are nothing more than pieces of craps! Without any doubt, I returned it...I may never be stupid again to buy Corsair memories from now on. Higher price equals higher pain!CORSAIR, wish you a good trip to the hell!

It does exactly what it's supposed to and it's as fast as it says it is. This isn't blinding speed compared to the top end sticks, but it EASILY runs anything I've buried in it. Video editing with Vegas Pro, Skyrim, Assassin's Creed III, multiple Office operations to use all 4 cpu cores, etc. If your system's slow it won't be because of this ram. It even feels solid unlike lots of other ram out there.

What a steal this is! Great company with a great product. Not the best out there but nothing beats this price. Anyone looking for more ram and isn't a massive gamer or is someone with a million programs open at once this ram is unbeatable. Points to Amazon for shipping this out in less than 4 days.*Little Note*When you install this ram, make sure it comes first in your ram lineup!

There are a bunch of reviews on this product so I won't be too repetitive. I am a bit of a tech geek but not to the extreme. I bought a couple of these to upgrade my desktop from 4 gigs to 12. I am actually planning to buy this (or similar) to cancel out the 4 and go up to 16 gigs total (but no rush). The product delivers and at a great price range. Had it in my computer for a few months and no problems - computers runs well. At the price, it is a great option and I think it works well; I haven't benchmarked it though.
