It has a UPnp Media Server if you want to connect a usb storage device.If you want to stream using TVersity or Media player, forget it. It is not DLNA complaint.Works w/DDWRT, but voids your warranty.

This product is perfect for people who do not want to run ethernet cable to every room. If you are interested in streaming video, gaming, etc. This bridge should help you resolve your bandwidth issues. I have a subscription with Netflix, and there are issues with streaming to wireless G devices (PS3s, etc). I believe it is due to the limited speed of the Wireless G band. The combination of this bridge with a wireless N router (D LINK DIR 655) was a game changer. The quality of the high definition video is great with a steady stream.I highly recommend it..

I installed this becuase I like to stream both movies and baseball games wirelessly to my PS3 and/or my laptop. So far no issues, both streams are very good quality, no interuptions. Setup was easy.

I have installed so many routers etc that I thought I wouldn't have the problems that some have had. HA. Everything went well in the beginning until I got an error message about having two devices with the same ip address. Ignored that and took the suggestion mentioned here to download the firmware before I installed the unit on the Sony TV. I couldn't even get that done. So I called the notorious Linksys tech support. They couldn't have been better. She walked me through everything and patiently even waited while I installed it on the TV. I have a Netgear router and waited for some resistance but that never came. Having dealt yesterday with Netgear which refused to help me because I had a refurbished unit, Linksys was great.

I had a Linksys WET54G which just up and died and the 610N was the only bridge available at my local electronics store.The install disk will crash when you run it on Windows 7 which will leave you completely out of luck unless you can connect it to another non-W7 machine to do the installation. Tech Support kept giving me solutions that would ONLY work had the setup worked.The signal reception is terrible... When I was in the same room, only 3 feet away from the base it only had 87% signal strength! And I had to get the signal downstairs and across the house. The WET54G pulled 84% in the basement and could stream hulu at high quality while doing large downloads at the same time without any problems. With the 610N, I only get 34% and have to have hulu on low quality and it still stutters!I HATE THIS BRIDGE!! Going to return it after I get a replacement.

This Linksys adapter wouldn't synch with my Linksys router. I tried several times, even reseting my router twice but nothing worked. I finally broke down and called technical support. I let them take control of my computer and they were able to link the adapter to the router.It works great, but for me it wasn't possible to get the adapter linked to the router.

I bought this unit to add WiFi to my new Sony N460 Blu-ray player. Hook-up was easy by making the connection through the Sony N460 menu. There was no setup disc required at all. This should actually be spelled out in the Linksys documentation. Even though the signal strength is only 13-16% on the 5.0GHz band, the connection is solid. That way I am keeping the N460 separate from all the other stuff running on the 2.4GHz band which shows a 55-65% signal strenth.

Used setup wizard to do initial install, but wireless network not found as expected. So had to get into the manual setup of the wireless and could not easily locate the location to set WEP, as it was "hidden" in a pulldown. Found it on the second attempt to install. Installer did run slow, a few minutes between functions, but eventually did work just fine. Had to re-run the setup after a new wireless-N router was installed with WPA2. The "pushbutton" function of WPA2 did not work and had to manually enter a 24 char password. It worked though and is running perfectly with a 4-port Ethernet router installed behind it, running 3 other devices. The only gotcha for me is that the devices behind the bridge cannot resolve DNS addresses, which means that I have to use an explicit IP address to connect to my shared printer on the other side of the bridge. But that is not the fault of the bridge.

This router is by far the easiest to setup that I have ever used. The feature of having a guest network separate from the private sets this device at a new level for comsumer products.

I never had to deal with Linksys customer support. Being decent with routers and stuff (A+ certified) I found this very easy to install. The increased speed and reliable connection make the extra bucks worth this over a USB wireless adapter. I think the Linksys Advisor software and Network Magic software are great - especially for novices and people not comfortable with installations. I've read negatives about Cisco/Linksys equipment and I'm sure those are valid complaints. But this is the 4th piece of networking equipment I've bought from Cisco/Linksys and my experience has been nothing but positive except for a single issue I had updating the router firmware -(See my review on the WRT310N router).

Linksys by Cisco Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming and Video AdapterI found this extremely hard to install and it would not get to Know my wireless router also by linksys. I was online with tech support for 5 hours trying to figure it out. My computer which was adaptable would not take the disc. Once I finally got it going, it runs great with my blu-ray, and I would recommend this product to anyone. I hope you have better luck installing it than I did. I love it!

I bought this wireless adapter for use with a Sony Blu Ray player, the BDP-N460, and I'm using a Linksys WRT610N router. Installation softwrae for the WRT610N router (not this device) worked great although for the WET610N the installation software crashed. I had read a previous review here that indicated the Sony BDP-N460 can configure the Wireless bridge for you and the author of that review was right, it worked great!!!We're watching Men In Black now on instant Netflix, works great and aside from the install software issues this is well worth the money.

I bought this unit to use with my Blue-ray player so i could stream Netflix through it. It was the best option for me and it works great! the only issue i see with it is having to reboot it because it will lose connection sometimes but its not enough for me to worry about because it get a great connection and it streams Netflix perfect and I didn't have to hard wire and can move it around if I need to. It was worth the purchase and works great with my G router.

The important points...1. If you are a Mac owner, this product cannot be configured with either the provided disk or the software from their website. Spent well over an hour but still couldn't get it to stop locking up.2. After 45 minutes on the phone, we finally got the stupid thing to blink the right lights but Linksys refused to help any further because I have a D-Link router. They passed me to their Premium support without telling me that it was an outside company that charges. These fine folks hung-up on me when I asked to be transferred back to Linksys.3. Bad software. Bad support. A formerly decent company that has gone down the tubes, Linksys has made an enemy of me for life.

I purchased this product to stream Netflix to my LG blu-ray dvd player, but going from 1st floor to 2nd floor where the DSL modem and wireless router were located wasn't getting enough throughput for Netflix to work (YouTube worked, but doesn't require as much signal strength). I would say it's a good product. Set up was relatively simple. It just depends on what you're using it for. If you're streaming video, you need a wired connection for best results.

Picked this unit up today, hoping to link an older Apple (iBook) to my Airport Extreme, WPA2 encrypted network. Other reviews cover some of the frustrations, but suffice it to say: don't purchase this unit expecting it to work with an Airport Extreme. I'm starting to understand Linksys' poor support of Mac hardware and will be dropping Linksys from my household network as I upgrade other components. And yes, I AM a rocket scientist ... but don't have patience for lengthy, manual, trial & error setup processes that in the end are fruitless. Life is too short ...

Already having a LinkSys home network made the installation of this product easier than it would have been. If you are running Windows 7, the setup software that pre-configures the device with your network will not work. In lieu of that, I had to search the LinkSys support website for information on how to install this product. There are special instructions on how to use the device with a Sony BluRay player. Once I found that document, it was simple to install. I can now access my Netflix instant watch queue using my Sony BluRay player.

I cannot get it to recognize my router key, altho I have 4 other computers, game consoles wirelessly routed, it says the key is wrong. I have reentered it 1,000 times, the ppl on the linksys help phone are stupid.

Was hoping to use this with my Sony BDP-N460 Blu-ray player. Never could get it configured with my wireless system. Cisco / Linksys tech support (assuming you ever get to them) was of no help (and I'm fairly computer literate). Wasted 1/2 day of my life trying to get this to work before giving up. My advice: Buy a Blu-ray player with built-in wireless or plan to connect the player via an ethernet cable (that's what I'm doing - just need to drill a few holes in my walls). Not recommended.
