Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM?

50mm is considered a standard focal length, you can use this for overall photography. (Do note that it becomes 80mm lens in crop sensor camera as mostly crop sensor cameras have crop factor of 1.6).
It shows some chromatic abrasion, but not much.
It has sharpest aperture of f4.0 on crop sensor cameras.
Nice bokeh quality thanks to 7 blades aperture.
It is very silent.
Focus ring is electronically coupled & it is buttery smooth.
It has 49mm filter thread.
It would be great if they gave lens hood though.
Camera: 1500D
Lens: EF50mm f/1.8
Usage: Portrait
Expectation: very good bokeh, superb sharpness.
Reality: EXCEPTIONALLY sharp and delicious bokeh!♥️
Usage: Product photography
Expectation: good sharpness reasonable bokeh depending on background and surrounding.
Reality: I AM SOLD ON IT!♥️ THIS 7500/- glass is INCREDIBLE!♥️♥️♥️♥️
Usage: Landscape
Expectation: good field of view, nice sharpness.
Reality: NOT GOOD FOR LANDSCAPES WHEN USED ON CROP SENSOR. Why? Because, on Canon crop sensor bodies, the EF(NOT EF-S) lens focal length gets multiplied by 1.6, so, it's essentially a 80mm prime lens on my 1500D which is very tight focal length! Landscapes need WIDE FoV not tight FoV.
Usage: ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY (everyone's crazy on this!)
Expectation: decent shots
Reality: Better shoot photos as RAW, then, edit and develop in good editor. Direct JPEG will not satisfy you, AT LEAST DIDN'T SATISFY ME because, this introduced unnecessarily high brightness when used for more than 10sec.s exposure.
Overall: SUPERB buy for the price! It's a FULL FRAME compatible lens, so, I and you can keep this lens to be used with Canon full frame camera if we want!♥️ Decent purchase, I'm very satisfied! Peace. ☮️✌️🇮🇳♥️
For a beginner or amateur photographer, 50mm prime lens would be a good lens to add to existing kit-lens kit. Larger focal length helps in capturing better low-light photographs. Best lens for portraits, with crisp sharp imaging. And given larger focal length, it's easier to achieve bokeh effect
So just know the disadvantages and use this lens accordingly and u will always get amazing looking images.
Then don't waste a single second and buy this lens. This lens gives you incredible candid shots. The focus of the lens is fixed at 50mm and the aperture you can set upto f/1.8.
Even the night shots are perfect. If you take my words then don't go for Tamron or Other brands 50mm lens. Go only for genuine canon lenses.
The product I recieved from Amazon is packaged well and the delivery was on time.
The autofocus of this lens depends on the camera model you're using. If you are using expensive camera you will get good autofocus and if you are using 1300D, 1500D, 3000D etc then it will struggle to find and lock the focus on the object. But i would say there is no need to autofocus if you have manual focus given in this lens so don't worry about autofocus
Talking about stabilization ..so this lens do not have any stabilization. You need to use gimble or tripod for stabilisation.
The guys and girls who want to buy this lens for vlogging. Then don't buy this lens. It is not for vlogging because it is 50mm focal length. If you want to shoot your face then you need to put the camera on a distance of around 3 feet which is not possible during vlogging. For more info dm me on insta. Search me by theamitdevyan
Remember - If you but this lens, you will have crop factor. Which means.
If you keep camera 10 feet away from you, then only your head to chest will be captured. thats how much it crops. So make sure if you are buying this lens, make sure you have enough room & enough space.
Its best for low light indoors as well as great in outdoor at any condition.
Picture quality and bokeh are awesome.
One thing that I would like to say for all those who have a crop sensor, in other words, APS-C sensor camera not a full frame camera, please note this is 50MM lens for full frame camera but as you have a crop sensor camera this 50mm lens will work similar to 80MM for Canon and 75MM for Nikon.
Canon should make 35mm F1.8 with the same price which may be equivalent to 50mm for full frame.
otherwise picture quality is awesome.
1. f/1.8 is very good for low light.
2. 50mm for APS-C sensor translates to 80mm (Portrait perfect).
3. AF is smooth & silent.
4. Very nice bokeh.
5. Sleek n very easy to carry along with kit lens.
6. Finaly.... Value for money.
On time delivery.... Thanks to Amazon & Seller.
It's Nice and Awesome Lens for Portrait Photography and Some Beautiful Bokeh Effect at f/1.8 its Really Awesome
Just One Thing Everyone To Consider it's not zoomed in and zoomed out.
I prefer for Sharp Portrait Clicks and Sharp Pictures
Good for the people who are learning photography and want to explore more in the photography field. Worth the money. A good edition to the camera along with the camera kit.
Amazon delivery is super fast one day delivery and packaging is good too.
Overall a must buy lens !!!
