And the Britax One4Life car seat https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XTWYNYB/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_FR2QDbR967N4M
At the time of this review, the Graco sells for $225 and the Britax sells for $375 ($150 difference)
Both car seats are safe and comply with airline and highway safety regulations. Both car seats deserve 5 stars in line with their price points, but I will explain the differences so you can make an informed choice for your budget and needs.
Both car seats include 4 stages for newborn to booster.
Advantages to Graco: price point, for the price, this is a sturdy and well designed car seat. Everything feels secure and able to protect a child. The Graco has a built in safety level on the side to aid with proper installation. Graco was also clever to include a slot at the back of the car seat to hold the manual (you’ll need it to switch to booster functions later on.)
The advantages to the Britax are basically everything else. First, the Britax has a handle loop on top. Both car seats feel equal weight, but anyone who has ever installed a car seat knows they are heavy and difficult to wield. This Britax has a built in handle over the child’s head to help with that. Both car seats have detailed instructions printed on the side of seat for installation. The Britax seat material feels more durable and was instantly less prone to lint than the Graco. The Britax also feels more plush and slightly more padded (if it were adult size, I’d want to sleep in it.) The Britax has two removable cup holders, the Graco has one. The Britax exterior of the seat is completely enclosed with a hard shell plastic. This makes the Britax seem much more durable for years of use, as well as less apt to damage from being pulled in and out of vehicles. (The Graco exterior is a combination of plastic and fabric.)
An important feature difference is the buckle that will be used every single time you pull your child into and out of the car seat. The Graco buckle has a 2” male to female buckle while the Britax has a 1” male to female buckle. I took a photo side by side to show you what I mean.
The shorter Britax buckle makes it easier to secure and unsecure the buckles. The Britax secures R to L. The Graco secures L to R (see photo.) I prefer the Britax buckle because it secures faster with less effort and feels more durable.
I think both of these car seats are a good value for the money. The Graco is a sturdy & secure option for its price point.
If you can afford it, the Britax is a luxury model that might be the last car seat you ever have to buy.
I hope my review and photos were helpful to your purchase decision. Happy & safe travels!

Other pros: it comes with the easy to manage lower anchors (that are push button instead of a hooks), although overall this seat is easier to install with the seatbelt then the anchors. Like all seats that supposedly are with kids their whole lives, this is going to get tight on kids when they get around 9/10/11 and you may need ultimately to buy a backless booster seat for those ages. But this will easily work from newborn until they are 9/10ish.
One downside is that it is a relatively wide seat (it has to be to go up to a booster for older kids). But if you have any issues fitting three across in your car or need a narrower seat for some reason, this is not going to be the best option.
Overall an excellent seat and if you can afford it I think it is worth it for ease of installation, high rear-facing weight limit, rebound bar, and overall safety and ease of use.

The Britax seems to have way more cushioning than the Snug Ride ever did, but maybe that's a product of changing standards for similar items. It is also has sturdier sidewalls. Again, this may be the standard these days; I have no basis for comparison with other current models.
But this thing stands on its own merits just fine. We have absolutely no concerns driving our guy around in this. Again, it's robust at the potential impact points but nice and soft where he sits.
It was pretty easy to install. I found it a little odd that the instructions recommended using the seat-belt rather than the clips that grab those little bars built into the car. Nonetheless, I did it and have no complaints. It doesn't wiggle around to speak of.
One thing to take note of is that it's big. If you have a tall person riding in the seat in front of it and your car isn't giant (we have a mid-sized SUV), that person is going to have to live with not being able to push the seat all the way back. I guess that's the price you pay for having a beast of a protective seat for the baby.

I went to the fire department and spoke with a fireman who had gone through the car seat safety courses and he said that Britax was the safest brand car seat. So I decided to try out the One4Life Britax car seat.
The first thing I love is that although it is expensive, it will be the only car seat I’ll need. When you consider you are only ever buying one, it doesn’t seem like such a high price point. The car seat coverings do come off and are washable which is a must when it comes to kids.
I also love that it is easy to install which is a HUGE deal. The seat comes up and the lap belt easily goes inside and is securely latched. You don’t have to worry with latching into the metal loops that are so hard to access in your car’s seats. With my other car seats there was a lot of play and the seat would wiggle despite being installed properly. The Britax One4Life doesn’t wiggle and is stationary on the seat. This car seat is so simply that anyone can install it. The car seat is still heavy, but it can be installed in seconds with little effort and that is worth a lot! With my first child we had seperate car seats for all of our cars to avoid the hassle of switching it. I can remember putting my knee in the seat while trying to feed the seatbelt through the back feeling like a contortionist! Having going through that, I really appreciate the simplicity.
It is also a great car seat for a grandparent because if they have multiple grand kids at various ages this car seat can accommodate them with a quick easy transition. It actually stores all the straps in a hidden compartment when you use it as a booster seat with the car’s lap belt. This is a nice feature so you never lose the straps.
This car seat has layered padding and lots of it. It is not too soft or too firm. I feel like this is a heavy duty car seat that will keep my child safe throughout his various growing stages. It is pricy, but if it saves your child’s life it quickly becomes priceless. Accidents happen and I want to be sure I am giving my family the best chance and I feel confident with this car seat and the experts agree!

Our first concern is safety. We hope that we'll never have to put this seat to the test. Or that any other parents will. But it's nice to know that this car seat was designed to offer side impact protection, and absorb crash energy. It's comfortable for our Little Girl to sit in, she likes it. Even if we happen to bring it inside and put it on the living room floor, she actually likes to just sit in it when she watches her nursery rhymes.
It's also a plus that we can take the cup holders out and wash them. There's nothing worse than a car seat that doesn't have removable cup holders. Ever glance in a cup holder and see some mystery food or snacks going back in the bottom of it? And then you can't take it out, so you have to go to town with the Clorox wipes or a brush. This makes the process headache-free.
With this particular car seat, you don't have to worry about replacing it until your LO is around 120 pounds. So yeah, there are cheaper seats out there. But you get what you pay for. It's just smart money to make a good investment early, and stick with one quality product for a decade. Oh, and if you're thinking of giving this as a gift to someone for a baby shower, Mom will absolutely love you. It's a gift she will remember, and she will always think about it when she's strapping her LO in. So definitely consider getting this one, we'd recommend it.

It is very easy to use and adjust this car seat. Everything works easily and feels solid and well made. Another thing that I noticed is how easy it is to clean this car seat. I was able to wipe away what appeared to be spilled juice, and it did not even leave behind any kind of stain.
It is reassuring to know that this car seat can simply be adjusted as my child grows so that my child will never really outgrow it until it is time to switch to just using a seat belt. This will be the only car seat ainwill ever need!

It will literally last you from day one - through every stage - until a car seat is no longer necessary! The weight limit is 120 lbs, which is incredible, as typically baby seats max out at 100lbs.
Great look to this seat, extremely cushioned where necessary and easy to advance the seat to the next stage.
