Only issue I have is that because the on off switch is on the handle it is quite easy to turn it off whilst using it which is a bit annoying, but as it's got LEDs lit up while it's on at least you can see in the mirror if you have accidentally turned it off.
I finally turned to YouTube for some more detailed instructions and advice, as I didn't want to give up on my dream of being able to curl my own hair at home. Thankfully, the first video I found was brilliant, and I have since been able to produce beautiful full curls, that look lovely. I don't know how long they will last as this was the first time I have had a chance to do my whole head, but they look very impressive. I have longish hair (just below shoulders) and have been able to produce tight spirals on shorter sections, and large curls on the longer sections.
This product does seem to be good value for money, and I hope my curls last the evening!
Must admit I have burnt my fingers a couple of times already.
I would have rated these higher apart from one design fault. The first time I used these I was disappointed as they didn’t seem to stay hot. Then I realised that when rolling my hair up I was hitting the switch and turning them off. This doesn’t seem to be an issue with the temp setting switch. I now know to keep an eye on the temperature light in the mirror to make sure they are on but each time I use them I end up turning them off accidentally at least a couple of times.
Good length of cable.
Usually my curls last 3 days until my next hair wash but with these tongs, they start falling out straight away. My hair also gets trapped in the screw on top of the tong, (that holds the top arm on it) as I turn the tong round.
I've tried taking just 1cm sections to see if curl stays in longer, but after an hour, there's just a wave left then straight again in 2hrs. For long hair, maybe a longer thinner barrel would be better. Meanwhile, I've gone back to using my straighteners.
