I didn't buy this monitor from Amazon but I would have but it came with a bundle with my new desktop pc. Anyways I would have purchased this separately if it didn't come with the bundle because I have read so many good reviews on it. And what do you know this monitor works like a charm. I do a lot of PC gaming and a lot of programming as well and you can change the settings from gaming to normal whenever you want. However I just leave it on gaming and it seems to work perfect for me. It stays cool even it if I have it on 24 hours and it doesn't even get warm. The base is pretty sturdy, I have it on a small laptop sturdy table that i can move around but it may wobble a little when moved but it never has fallen and i have bumped it quit a few times so thats a good sign of the stand. Overall i think its a excellent monitor. I wouldn't expect anything less from Asus, a job well done again!

I'm not extremely well versed in monitors, but this one suits my needs nicely. I wanted to dual-monitor with my old one and this one, but after finding out I need another video card for that (I'm a bad nerd sometimes) that dream was put to rest. However, this is wide enough that I can comfortably surf Reddit and Tweet/FB/whatever in two windows at once!

The product came in on time. The price was very affordable and top of that I got a rebate which ASUS processed it without hassle. I am using this monitor as the 3rd one and one can see the color difference. This monitor exhibits brilliant and lively color compare to Viewsonic and even Sony's HD laptop monitor. Love the product and love the service. A definite must buy at below 200$.

This review might be a little harsh, but it's something that shouldn't happen.I had a blu ray player plugged into the HDMI plug just to do a firmware update on the player. If the monitor is on the HDMI input and you unplug the HDMI cable it will lock the monitor on that input. it will just say there is no HDMI input and will not let you go to any menu. For most people this will not be a problem, but it took me a while to figure out what was going on. you have to plug in an HDMI source again to get it to recognize the menu button and then switch the computer to the dvi or other input. This would be a problem if people had multiple cables plugged into the back.Other than that i've been very pleased with the monitor, great in all other ways.

I'd never bought anything from Asus before, so I didn't know what to expect, but this far exceeds my expectations. This monitor is a little on the wider side, so it's great for using multiple programs at once, side by side. The picture is great and it has all three hookups; HDMI, DVI, and VGA. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, and I actually plan to get another one and use dual monitors. (The fact that it is VESA mountable will make this really nice.)

This Monitor is amazing. It arrived in perfect condition and it's beautiful for gaming. With the 2MS response time, you can't beat that for this price. It was a little bright out the box, but I didn't mess with the settings and I like the way it is. Maybe just a little dark in certain games like Dead Space 3, but besides that, it's a wonderful monitor.

I was planning an upgrade for my gaming pc and was looking forward some LED monitor. At first some friends recomended me to get a 23 inch monitor but when i saw this one i didnt waited any longer.what i liked of the monitor is:- big screen 23.6 inch- Led monitor- 2ms imput lag (nice for fps games... and i have not noticed any lag when gaming btw)- Non glossy screen (i hated the reflection of light when gaming in my previous monitor)- very light-weight for the size- HDMI input as well as DVI and VGAI am not an expert in image quality, and i know many others would prefer the IPS pannels over VS pannels, but at the end this for sure is a great LED monitor with nice configuration optionsand of course for the price!!!

Firstly, I do video editing, graphics and 3D animation, so getting a good quality screen at a good price was my main concern...After some extensive research, I settled on this monitor. I figured I would upgrade from my Dell lcd...to LED tech. Originally I was not thinking of getting an Asus...but all the reading I had done suggested this was the way to go. Screen arrived in great condition...Pleased to report, not one dead pixel on arrival. The screen is surprisingly light and pleasingly thin. Very nicely styled with the glossy frame, very vibrant colors and good contrast. I especially love the matte screen finish which I needed because I have windows behind me where I sit. Also the price was right. As is the case when switching out monitors, the screen took some getting used to, because I was used to my Dell for such a long time. Also, be careful when making adjustment as you can get color fringing that is visible on black text against white...If this happens then something is turned up too high, more than likely the saturation. Most people complain about things that can be fixed with some simple manual adjustments. The width also gives me more screen real-estate to work with, which is also a plus. As most other people stated, the brightness settings out-of-the-box are way too high...nothing a little tweaking can't fix. Overall I am very pleased with my choice and would recommend this in a heartbeat.

Good:No dead pixels.All cables included2ms (claimed)PriceBad:Comes up with 100% brightness so before i figured out i need to lower brightness my eyes got burned and i had eyes pain for 2 weeks (no computer use). Even after I lowered brightness to 25% I still feel like something is wrong with my eyes when i look at the monitor. I couldn't find good settings that would work for me. Not sure if my monitor is defective or the issue is with the settings, but I am switching to my old 19' Samsung and will try some other brand.

This is an absolutely excellent LED monitor from Asus, vivid colors, great for gaming & movies. It is not glossy so that is a big plus.Got this monitor at a steal of $160us, regretted not purchasing another at the time. Planning to set up an eyefinity display with two more of these. Hopefully the price goes down again. But this monitor is definitely worth the $$ & I'm officially only purchasing Asus monitors from now on. They always deliver quality products. A must buy if you're in the market for an LED monitor.

I purchased mine in late Dec. 2012. No missing pixels or other observable problems. Screen quality is very good for my varied uses, but probably not perfect for someone involved in high-tech graphics like photo or video editing. I added it as a second monitor to a more expensive Dell monitor that I already had, and I've switched them around, so that the new Asus is now my main monitor and the Dell is my secondary one.

Can't complain much if you payed 165U$D for it after rebate. It does get a wee bit of work to get used to if you come from a small 17", but that's my fault. Although, the image quality of my cheap HP vs17 (really old one) doesn't really envy that much to this modern one... that was a bit of a bum for me, but eh... I enjoy it.Don't understand people complaining about the stand being wobbly... never even noticed. And even if I did, what kind of place do you live in where your desk moves side to side all the time?Pretty happy with it so far.

I am using this monitor for my main gaming monitor and to play my Xbox 360 on as well.Pros: Large HD screen, one HDMI port along with DVI and VGA, easily usable buttons with a dedicated input switch one, looks very slick, nicely priced, and has very easy set up and take down if you are planning on moving it around to LAN parties like me.Cons: Had to adjust the picture color but it was easy enough, noticed a slight flickering around the edges when on a still black screen and on text which is why I will give it a four out of five.Summary: Pretty good monitor and I would probably buy another if the need every arises.

This monitor is awesome. Its screen space is wonderfully spacious, and its backlight and matte surface make it very readable under nearly any lighting conditions. My only gripe is that the stand it sits on was slightly too short to put it on even footing with my other monitor, so I had to but it on top of a few books. That barely counts as a con though! I highly recommend this to anyone, even my roommate has one and loves it too.

I read some of the reviews about how this monitor glows around the edges...I'm picky and it doesn't bother me. It's not enough to regret the money spent. The only con to this monitor is the lack of dedicated volume up/down buttons, which I leave up all the way since I have external speakers anyway.Great picture.

I have an Asus G73jh laptop, and the screen on that laptop was beautiful. So when I bought this monitor I was hoping to get the same quality. But all I received was a monitor that was way to bright, hard to adjust, presets that can't be changed. Tried downloading color profiles from other people with the same problems, and even they say this monitor is hard to get right. For Asus I'm really sad this is what I'm having to live with. It looks great for gaming, but normal internet browsing, viewing text, and windows explorer windows have blurred texts, and bleeding colors.

I bought two of these monitors and so far they are working great. They are easy to setup out of the box although it did take a few hours to get the contrast, brightness, and color correct between the two. With the exact same connections and default setup they looked good by themselves however when placed together there was an obvious difference. Also, which is quite common and was solved quickly with Amazon, one of the monitors had multiple stuck pixels and the buttons were not responding. Overall, I will be ordering another of these monitors to complete a 3 monitor setup.

This display has met all of my needs perfectly. The stand was easy to set up and is fairly sturdy. Display came with all cables needed (including VGA and DVI) and includes a DVI to VGA adapter. It automatically detects any input quickly so that you don't have to press any buttons.My only concern is that the stand can rock a little when I bump my desk but it is a flimsy desk to begin with.Well worth the investment, I have great faith in all my Asus products!

I ordered three of this model and am very pleased with the appearance and performance. Good connectivity options, a very nice display, and when upgrading from a 19" to this 24", the difference is huge, especially the way I have them stacked (3 next to each other). Great value as well for around $150 for a 24 inch. Highly recommended.

Be carefull, this is not a led monitor, it just have a back led light hidden somewhere inside it. Besides the quality is very low. My unit keeps shaking when I move anything on the table and it came with the right side higher than the left side. So annoying! ! Getting my money back !!!

I like the monitor and the colors are good however asus customer support is not so good and there rebate process is very easy however they declined my rebate because they said i didnt send the invoice even though on there web page it shows a scan of the invoice i sent in. I do think its a good monitor but not worth the trouble have never had so many issues with customer service before. i would recommend not getting this monitor or any asus product until they get there act together

This is my first LED monitor and I love it. Great quality at such a low price! I watched a Bluray on it and the colors looked amazing! The only thing that I did not like about the monitor was when the HDMI was first connected, it does not automatically go to the HDMI source. It stays on the DVI connection. Other then that, everything else is perfect. I would recommend it to anybody!

Touch the power button and it wiggles like a spring for bit. Bump the desk and it wobbles for a bit. I have 3 other monitors. The Gateway monitor I'm using right now on the same desk I'd had this Asus on it solid as a rock. The two 26" Asus monitors at work don't wiggle and they are very wide, too. Just look at the picture of the stand on this VS247H - it's skinny. Nice picture, nice profile. On a VESA mount, it would be great. It's much to annoying for a desk.

Monitor has a great sharp picture, awesome vibrant colors. I really like this monitor and hope I get many years of use out of it. Nice step up over my old acer lcd. The built in presets work well I have not had to adjust outside of using the presets. Asus also claims a good warranty, I hope that its never needed however it is a little piece of mind.
