So my next recourse was to call Asus and got a RMA and sent the product in for repairs. After 3 days, Asus says that even they can’t figure out what is wrong with the unit and they need to send me a new replacement. I was very grateful and said thank you as this is not a cheap PSU by any means. However, after 5 business days and multiple calls, no one at Asus can tell me anything about the replacement or when the replacement will ship. It’s been two weeks now and i am just waiting for someone at Asus to give me some answer and get me my replacement.
I have been an ASUS ROG fan for years and have had ROG products throughout, but I think this is the last straw and last Asus product that I will buy as a new ASUS ROG Maximus XI motherboard died on me too, but that’s another story. Sometimes, It’s not just the looks but the quality and support that goes with it and sadly, right now, i am just making calls to get something back for what i paid good money for. So bye bye to ASUS and SqaureTrade from now on.

My only gripe is that even though it states its AURA compatible it does not work with my ASUS STRIX X370-F Gaming motherboard that has the RGB headers for AURA Sync. There are several versions of the AURA RGB. The Pin lay outs are entirely different. So I am unable to control the lighting effects of the PSU. I have attached photos of the pins required for this PSU to have full RGB customization.

The PSU........
-Feels very premium (Box is well secured)
-comes with custom sleeve cables
-Come with connectors and zip pins so you can organised your cables
-Cool looking sticker (if that even matters to you hahaha)
-Helpful OLED panel that shows how much wattage's you are using. Been seeing many people concerned on how
many watts they are using or need for the RTX 3000 cards yet I can simply look at my PC to see my numbers haha.
-Awesome design and love the RGB. Unfortunately I can't customize the colors directly for some odd reason yet since I have other ASUS parts that are compatible with custom RGB (MB, CPU cooler, etc) I was able to change the PSU RGB colors when I changed my motherboards RGB colors. So I guess that's how it works.
Kinda interesting that with a 3950x and 2080s (no overclocking), on 1440p ultrawide max settings gaming, I was using around 300 watts in total. Kinda gave me 2nd thoughts if this was an overkill but at the same time, it's nice to future proof your PSU and not being able to worry about upgrading in the future especially when it comes to PSU shortages. Overall great PSU, may be a bit expensive, but I feel this PSU is meant for custom PC builds.

Product has behaved well until the instability after connecting to the ARGB 3-pin mobo header. It is no longer stuck on the default red accent and white numerals because the numerals completely blacked out and looked like blacked out numbers on a slot machine trying to spin by. The OLED screen makes noise too when it does that. Very disappointing. I finally got it working right, with no credit to me. Just a random glitch that went my way. But this entire build was fraught with underperforming parts purchased as new that turned out to be used. That includes, the MOBO, CPU, GPU extension cable. Also, the Asian horse sleeved extension cable has no quality control. You would have to individually glue and/or resize each sleeve to get mag quality photos because they are not the right lengths to make smooth looking bends and look very amateur.

Edit: Really bad RGB software, to fix it I had to reinstall windows after it was recommended by Asus. Make sure to not install Asus's aura software along with their Armoury crate or you have to do the same.

Mine didn't come DOA, so I think that really helped with this review. It's fairly quiet, in fact I don't think I've ever heard it, other than when it first turns on, it makes a "switching" or clicking noise that's more audible than my previous power supplies. Build quality feels nice. It's honestly not even that much more expensive than some other Platinum power supplies.
Lots of cables, and zip ties. Some cables don't have sleeves around them, which I actually kind of prefer for the motherboard cable. But it's strange because others do (like for PCI-E.) Then it's extra weird because the ones that don't have sleeves, some are flat some are not, and some are exposed plastic others have some other material.
Oh did I mention it wasn't DOA?

The LCD reads over 900 watts on full load with everything over clocked
The cables are awesome, all sleeved, and quality build, the extra velcro is kewl compared to normal velcro or zip ties.
The RGB cable that goes to the motherboard has 2 variations in box, one for direct plug in and one with daisy chain feature, which i have plugged the aRGB from the GPU block into and didnt have to buy an additional adapter
Very Pleasing
I did trigger the over protection a few times where the PC would just turn off when benchmarking- and then alt tabbing at the same time which results in the rapid voltage changes, but that was my fault 900 watts + too

The board requires an 8+4 power connection. Most Psu's have a 4+4 connector until you get to 1200+. This has the extra cable that works with the motherboard.
The only complaint I have, is, why even have the lights on this thing? They are completely hidden within the case.
It fulfilled my needs and works well, so great for that, but the cost is high, and I think they could make a similar product without the lights, that could work for a much broader audience at a lower price.

1) Monitor power usage on built in screen.
2) O dB mode for stealthy situations.
3) The ability to have just the cables I need instead of a hard wired mess of spaghetti.
4) It’s got a tiny ROG angry eye that glows red. Yes quite important for the seagull in me.

- You can’t invert the display which is a problem in inverted builds.
- The RGB cable is the most visible and also has the lowest quality cover, but you can mitigate this with cable management.

computer parts yet and waiting for some extra parts but I don't have much left ... I can say that I now own the motherboard, case and cooler (of course they all carry The brand of Asus Rouge Strix) and processor, in addition to this magical unit Asus Rouge thor 850w
and I liked that all or most my computer parts are from Asus Rouge Strix because they are luxury in all their products
When I finish getting the remaining computer parts in my setup, I will update this post and share my experience, which I hope will be great.
