The pros:Headset is lightweight, portable, comes with its own carrying case. Good sound quality for a wireless headset. Good range away from computer. Love being able to walk around my home while wearing headset. Very convenient.The Cons:Too tight on my head. Uncomfortable. Too much pressure on ears. Not enough padding on earpieces. Earpieces too small. Battery life? What battery life? Charging cable is way too short.I will admit that the headset worked right out of the box. That was nice, didn't even have to charge it. I did charge the headset after using it the first time. The second time I used it, I charged it again. I only used it for about two hours. The third time I used it, headset was in use for not even an hour. I turned it off, ran some errands, came back, put the headset on and nothing. It was dead. I cannot use it while it is charging either, so here I sit wanting to listen to music and I cannot. And yes, the charging cable is a joke, as it is very short.After having the headset on for two hours, my head and ears hurt. I'm a petite gal, have small to normal sized ears, but I have a wide head. If you have a wide head, if you have a hard time finding sunglasses that don't hurt the sides of your head, or give you a headache, don't purchase this headset. I agree with another reviewer in that the headset simply places too much pressure on one's head.I did not use the mic, so I cannot comment on that.I am returning these and will be trying another brand of cordless headset.

The hinge connecting the ear piece with the head piece arrived broken. Got a replacement from Amazon the next day, great job Amazon, and that second headset's right hand side hinge broke on first use. Poor design/manufacturing. Or just bad luck on my part? Really like the size and sound quality but the headset is too brittle especially if meant for travel. Requested a refund.

Recently purchased three wireless headsets for use with Dragon Naturally Speaking. I found that according headsets were frustrating in that they limited my range of movement from my desk at the office. The purchased headsets are the following:Logitech - Logitech ClearChat Wireless USB Headset - BlackCreative - Creative Labs HS-1200 Digital Wireless Gaming Headset with Sound Blaster X-Fi Technology (Black)Asus - HS-1000W Pc Wrls USB Headset 20-20KHZ for Music Gaming & VoipI am currently using the ASUS to dictate this review. All three of these models perform extremely well and feel very good on my head. Sound quality and microphone quality were virtually indistinguishable to a lay person like myself using the headsets in a quiet office environment. Further, all three headsets were surprisingly easy to use right out of the box. The accuracy levels of these headsets while in Dragon Naturally Speaking rivaled the corded headsets I have previously used. As an aside, Version 10 of Dragon Naturally Speaking is an excellent "speech to text" program.The ASUS would be my first choice if you are going to use a headset while traveling with a laptop. This is because the USB dongle can connect directly to the headset for charging purposes using a double ended mini USB cable. In other words, there is no power outlet needed, and there is a minimum of cabling required when transporting the headset. All in all, it is a very capable performer at an excellent price point, with its own carry case.The Logitech headset is my absolute favorite headset if you are going to use it in an office environment without the need for portability. The range is excellent, the volume buttons are very accessible and easy to use, and the huge mute button along with the accompanying red LED which lights when the microphone is muted (very handy when using Dragon Naturally Speaking) makes this my absolute favorite choice.The Creative headset has very nice audio and is a capable performer. As far as I was concerned, nothing about this headset was particularly better than the other two that I have reviewed here.

These headphones have great range. I can pretty much go anywhere in my house, and the sound quality is amazing. Battery life is pretty decent.The biggest issue I have is they are not so sturdy. Because they are "foldable", they flop around and don't hold their shape well. Also, the cord that connects to charge them is super super short and cheap. I looked for a long time here to find a cable replacement but didn't find one yet that had the right connectors. I mean, it's like 2 feet long maybe.Also, if the headphones are off, the USB part never stops blinking. This is annoying at night.

I give this headset pretty close to a 5. I use it with a desk top computer for gaming and ventrillo. I bought this headset to replace the Logitech wired head set I was using. I like the Logitech for comfort and sound but the wire seems to always be a knot and I have to keep taking it off and on to answer to door, let the dog out, etc. I like the choice I have madePros: Sound inbound and out bound is good. Comfort is good. Easy to connect and use. Battery life is good. I've charged it when I'm afk and so far have not had to use the charger while I using the headset. I havent had it long enough to say talk about the durablity but for the price it seems to be well made.Cons: The ear piece is not large enought to block out as much back ground noise as the Logitech I was using. While the headset can be used while charging the charge cord that comes with the unit is too short for that purpose unless your very close to the USB port.

I took a chance on this based on the reviews, so my gf could call me for free from the Philippines on magicJack (see separate listings for MagicJack, and Philippines).This puppy has more features than I could even think of! It even has a SKYPE button, which we didn't need. The mic is incredibly clear, much better than a cell phone and its for free, amazing! The range is good, I expected about 10 feet more but its still at least 30ft, And it is pretty clear until it fades out. Battery life is great! She uses it all the time to listen to music while she washes her clothes (by hand, what a woman!) a few rooms away. We just can't get enough of this baby. On the down side, the docs are written in broken English and not organized very well. You have to do a little experimentation sometimes or re-read all the tiny little type again until you figure out how a feature works, like, the power button does, 3 different things. I had tried a Bluetooth dongle (denoted as "blooth" in all my reviews going forward, too much to type) and a Cell phone headset which "Seemed" like a good cheap approach, but I couldn't get them to even work with Vista or XP. I like the tiny cell phone headsets, but with this you also get true stereo sound, so it doubles as headphones even though that was not the intended use.The BEST thing about this is that you just plug it in and it works. Its a matched pair of USB dongle and headset, so even though its expensive, you get a quality product and you don't have to Mashup two vendors devices and try to get them to talk.

If your looking for a good wireless VOIP headset while your working on PC, this one does the job.Bought a year ago and have been happy w the sound quality & distance. I primary use for google voice calling & skype.The battery last very well, I have an long usb extension chord that charges the headset so I never had to use the small chord that comes for charging.The sturdiness of the hinges are an issue, I used an epoxy glue on the mic side hinge since it broke few months ago, it lasted 10 months before breaking.Overall I been happy w it except for the hinge breaking.

Hi,I bought this wireless headphonenew set and started using it. Suddenly due to its rigid and stiffness it got broken. Eventhough all features works very well but to me it is not useful anymore. These headphones are delicate and fragile and must be taken care while handling.

I would like to point out the good qualities of this headset before the bad. It's nice to have wireless, and the sound is great. There. Now the bad. It hurts my ears after being on my head for longer than 30 minutes, and it interferes with my mouse. I have a wireless mouse, and it messes it up by making it move all choppy and stuff (Lamen terms lol). I would like to be contacted about returning this product if possible. Thank you.

Bought this a year ago and it works perfectly for me.What I like the most:- I travel a lot and it comes with a case where the headset folds nicely.- Hassle free connection to the USB thingy. No need to click anywhere.- Fits my head fine (but everybody has a different head...).- Has a standard USB connection for charging, so I can use the same cable that I use for my Phone, camera, etc.The only negative is that I do a lot of conference calls. the mute function that exist is not practical. Difficult to reach to the button while on a call, and make sure that I am on mute. I used to own the Logitech Clearspeech (before it stopped working) and it was superior to this Travelite for this detail: the Clearspeech is easy to mute and there is a red light on the microphone that is noticeable in peripheral vision.But I definitely recommend it for the positives!

PROS: Excellent sound quality, range, and battery life.CONS: Can be slightly uncomfortable after extended periods of use (like a 6 hour raid) particularly if u wear glasses.When I began putting my home gaming/entertainment center together, I needed to go wireless. I have a 4-yr-old son and cords across the room are not an option (not to mention it just looks horrible). After a bit of research, I discovered that too many Bluetooth accessories could be a problem. My Logitech MX5500 wireless desktop and mouse are Bluetooth... would I get interference with one of the Bluetooth headsets I was eye-balling? This headset solved that problem before it ever started.The complaints I have are very miniscule. For argument's sake, I will go into them in a moment. However, for under $50, not being a corded or bluetooth headset, and for the relatively high demands I put on this headset, I can't imagine a much better deal than this.The only things that make this headset just short of perfect for my demands on it is that it becomes uncomfortable after about 3-4 hours (as I imagine any headset would) and there is no battery life notice. A recharge battery tone would be nice. I've gone about 20 mins in raid chat thinking we were all just quiet, and wondering when we changed strategy only to take off the headset to see the LED was off.In addition to game communications, I've used the headset for music and movies both with superb sound quality as well. Get this headset.

First, the good stuff: These headphones sound great. They have enough range that I can listen to music from anywhere in my (small) apartment. The electronics are top notch.Now, the bad stuff: Frank P. Clarke uploaded some pics of his broken phones, and my phones are broken in exactly the same way. It's only been 5 months since I bought them, and I *baby* these phones - I make sure to put them back in the case whenever I'm not using them, I don't drop them when I put them down, etc. They were 50 dollars, so I take care of them. And they're still broken. When I first got them, I figured they would last because they seemed to be of quality construction: they have a spring-steel band that goes across the head to keep them tight against your ears, unlike pure plastic phones.Unfortunately, this is the problem. The steel band presses tight enough that it puts a lot of stress on the plastic part that mates the band to the speaker. So it eventually breaks there.What can I say? The quest for a quality headset continues.

This headset is amazing, although is built in cheap material, mine broke after 6 months just like that, I still have to argue with my husband because he thinks I wasn't careful enough, but I was, exactly the same thing happened to so many people...after it broke I kept using it, I had to put a sponge on the broken side so it doesn't take my brain out, because there is nothing like this headset, the sound quality, the battery last a lot, and you can speak while it is charging I haven't found one like this yet, so I got over with the broken thing by using a face sponge but after a year battery charges and discharges continuously so I had to stop using it, so probably if you buy this headset you will have to replace it within a year, but still worth every dollar ! I am buying another one right now...my husband still nagging about me not being careful and breaking it..but is built on cheap material, Asus just needs to improve on this.

The headphones exert a lot of pressure on the earlobes. They felt very comfortable at first, but after a few days they began to hurt and by the end of week I could barely stand to wear them.I now have to alternate between the Travelite and my old headphones every few hours. It's a pity, because the phones have nice wireless range and great sound quality, and I'd like to use them more often.Edit: After one year, the phones are really starting to show their age. Like many other reviewers have said, it's a rather shoddily-built product. Here's a list of problems I've run into: - The plastic started cracking on the mic side, and I've had to use glue to prevent it from breaking completely. - The wiring got damaged and the left speaker cuts off very frequently. - When charging, the headset refuses to remain offline. A few seconds after I turn it off, it stubbornly powers up again and stays like that. As a consequence, the battery takes a very long time to reach full charge.

Dislike:within a day of receiving the product it has stopped functioning.It just does not power up. When it did work which is like for 4 hours it was awesome. There is no product documentation in ASUS website on this. No number to call. Just waiting if their support over email can resolve this issue.if it worked, once i got it i realize it has a internal battery which cannot be removed by us without tampering , so on a long run too we will face issues with this headset.Like : after some trial and error, found that the charging usb cable which was given was faulty, luckily i had another one from a mobile phone which i used for this purpose and all is well after that.It works really well and i generally use it for music and chat and leave it to charge in the night and had faced no issues since then.

I looked for a while for an un-wired headset and decided to go with this one. All I need to say is that I am very happy with my decision. For the price and performance, I don't think I could have found better. Now don't get me wrong - this headset is not perfect. I wear glasses and it is a little tight over the ears once I've had it in use for a while. Also, the initial reviews I had read warned that charging it is a little bit of a hassle the first time. This was true (I ended up using an old phone charger - just seemed easier because this way i didnt need to have the USB dongle plugged in or my computer on) but was worth it in the end. I get a solid 4.5 hours out of them with no issues. I've never had to go longer than that, but expect the battery most likely holds around 6 hours. For the price, performance, and ease of use I would highly recommend this product!

Pretty darned good...Windows XP occasionally needs time or a reboot to recognize that digital input is expected by me, the user.The microphone is not as noise-reducing as you might like, but for my use in a home office for both Skype and my online training sessions, it all works very well.

I got my headset yesterday and it has been a pleasure to use so far. The set up was easy and intuitive, the sound quality is good and they are comfortable. They come in a protective case. This is great because I broke the last headset I owned when it got crushed in my bag. I could wish a few things to be different, however.For one, the battery life is listed at 8 hours per charge. I wear them at work so I'll have to recharge at the end of every work day. Not horrible and I can still wear them and plug them in during the day if needed but I'd love to not have to worry about it so much.Also, the pick up/hang up button on the headset is for Skype. I am using a Cisco softphone client and Google Voice. Not sure that the convenience will translate for the push button hangup.Overall, they are leaps and bounds better than the last cheap pair of earphones I bought for $10 bucks. Go figure.

I disagree with some of the other reviewers. I find this headset to be of good quality and operates fine. All headsets must be treated a bit carefully. I adjusted it to fit over my head. No need to tinker with it anymore. Feels comfortable and is light. Works well. Better price that overpriced competitors such as Logitech.

This headset will break on you for no apparent reason after about 2 months. The hings at the ears are very fragile and for the price, can not be considered worth it. Trust me. It will destroy your friendships.

I have used this headset for some time and my conclusions are as follows:1. Hurts your ears/head after an hour or two of use.2. The wireless aspect is great however it would appear it discharges it's battery really rather quickly and does not last for an extended use session (3-6 hours).3. The sound is nothing short of excellent.4. The controls work perfectly.5. The range is fantastic I can clearly hear the sound from my computer anywhere in our house!They setup and installed in windows 7 with no drivers and worked perfectly right away.I would be forced to say that considering the price of this headset they are a good value even with the cons I mentioned above since all of the other wireless headsets are considerably more expensive.

i bought this headset back in March and was pleased with the quality of the sound and the range of the signal plus the length of time for the charge i was getting about 6 hrs on a full charge. I thought the overal quaity was good. A few days ago i went to put them on and the right earpiece broke off in my hand and after an investigation of the whole headset i see that the left one is about to do the same thing. the plastic is very thin at the point where they pivot and for the price I would expect the quality to be better. i would not purchase these again nor do i reccomend them to anyone. I have a friend that purchased these on my reccomendation and the same thing happened to thiers. there is no manufacturers warranty for the item either so you're stuck with them if they break.

I've had the headset for 5 weeks and used it for many many phone conferences. I like the sound, the comfort, the range, and the freedom that wireless brings. However, the battery life is awful. The unit simply does not hold a charge. I'll use it for a 1 hr meeting, set it down, turn it off, and leave for the day. The next day during another 1-2 hour phone meeting the unit simply quits. That can be very very annoying. There is no warning, no beep, no solution, other than to plug it in and wait a few hours for a charge.The USB cord that comes with the unit but is only a couple of feet long. You can only listen while the unit is plugged in so continuing a conversation is not possible. Bottom line is be prepared for the unit to cut out in the middle of a conversation.It would be nice if I could change the batteries myself in the unit once they ran down.

I am VERY impressed by this little gadget. It is compact, easy to use and very high quality. Excellent range--I can walk nearly to my bedroom from my office and the sound stays solid. Good audio range, excellent quality mic, and smart use of headset side buttons. Works perfectly in both Ubuntu Linux and Microsoft Windows (have not tried it with Mac), two OSes I switch back and forth from often.The only downside is the weight--it's a little heavy on the head compared with my last headset which was not wireless, but the extra weight is a great trade off for the portability! I can walk around my house and forget I'm listening to an Internet radio station on my laptop. Very impressive and so far I would recommend it to anyone.I'll revisit this review in a couple of months to tell you how it held up over time.

Under tech specs it says "Background noise-cancelling MIC for extra clarity team talk."Not so. Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10.1 said that the audio quality was inadequate, and the results were accordingly awful. I've been using a corded Plantronics DSP400 Foldable Multimedia Headset (physically a piece of garbage, but audio quality is excellent), and there is no comparison.If you only want this for VOIP, it may be OK; I didn't even bother trying it with music, because if it won't support dictation it's worthless to me.

So far i really enjoy using this product. It does seem a little flimsy so i make sure i am just very careful with it. The range is good considering where i have my PC set up, i get about 40 feet from it thru walls and doors.

I tried a bunch of other headsets and they all came up short. For me it is unacceptable to be tied to my computer - I need to be able to walk around while I am talking on Skype (etc.). I tried several bluetooth headsets and the voice quality was awful and the range was only about 20 feet. I bought the Travelite and I love it. The range is very good - about 50 feet. The sound is quite good also - I would not rate it a 10, but maybe an 8. But it doesn't matter because everything else works perfectly. It also holds an 8 hour charge of talk time which is great. I am absolutely satisfied, and highly recommend this headset.

I bought these as a replacement for a similar more expensive Plantroics headset which I had to replace because the headset itself was broken. These are ok. Range is good, sound is good, nice quality and almost fully equipped comparatively. I believe they are too small for many people like myself. While the headset does fit my head, it puts too much pressure on my ears or even my neck if I drop them down while not listening, and the speakers could be a little larger. The charge doesn't last long - maybe 4 hours at best, much less than my previous set. Also when charging, you can't listen to your external speakers because the sound system thinks you are still using the headset. The mini USB cord to charge using the bluetooth adapter and the headset is too short for my system since I don't have any USB connector on my keyboard. My only alternative seems to be to charge it elsewhere. I also wish it came with a mini jack connector to allow me to use my headset on non-USB stereo devices.

Purchased this two months ago as a replacement for the useless Plantronics .Audio 995 Wireless Stereo Headset. The unit was extremely lightweight, with good sound quality and decent (6 hrs average) battery life. The problem is that it's horribly fragile. Unit broke after less than two months of regular use. The pivots on which the headset folds are flimsy, brittle, rigid plastic, and snapped despite being handled with the delicacy of fine porcelain. I guess this unit could be OK for very irregular use, but otherwise it's a total waste of money.

the search is over, finally a wireless headset with great sound and gaming capabilities.not to mention it works with rosetta stone accurately i know for sure i adjusted the difficulty on rosetta stone from normal to advanced and it registered accurately 100%.also you can jam your tunes or hear the slightest leaf crackle from an enemy footstep and communicate with teamates.it also holds a lengthy charge of about 7.5hrs but u can also plug and play,work,listen etc...if you have long enough cable I do it if i forget to charge headset.I almost forgot i use netflix on pc and movie sound is great to.

overall this product fit my needs. but the unit I bought stop working within the first month and I have to return it. my another complaint is the operation is not very convenient: why we have to count 3 seconds to turn on/off the unit?

I purchased these headphones for my son to use with his online school. The headphones work great and have a good sound quality. My only complaint is the microphone seems flimsy and he is always having to push it back into place.

The battery does not last as long as they say, and the microphone stops working at random times, but if you hit the reset button the mic starts working again, and you can listen while it's charging, though the cord is rather short for use with a desktop computer.The sound quality is wonderful for the most part, every so often it will crackle, maybe once a night.I have had no complaints about the microphone, I use it for work and my customers can hear me very clearly.My only wish is that the battery lasted longer.

It may not be perfect, but this headset is more than great for its price. It's light, has a fairly decent usage time, and has excellent range (up to 100 feet). Very nice for gaming, VoIP, and the like. If you're looking for a wireless headset to use but not to spend too much money on, I highly recommend this product.The only cons (which are only minor) that I have with the headset are:- While it claims to be noise-cancelling, it really is not that much.- Charging cable is indeed too short; it's only maybe 2.5 or 3 feet, so charging it while using it may be an issue.- Audio output has less treble (higher frequency) response than a typical generic headset.

The problem is that ASUS gives you a charging cord that is at most, 3 feet long. No way can most people use these while they are charging. It's the reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. I mean, another 3 feet of wire would have cost them what, 10 cents?. I know you want to use this wirelessly, but what if the battery goes down in the middle of something?Otherwise, mic works fine, sound is good and seems to produce more bass than my expensive earbuds.It's also a little tight on me, but I'm hoping it will relax a bit with use.

This headset is exactly what I was looking for. It is perfect for gaming, has decent audio, and last around 4-6 hours for voip while gaming. I found that initially the earphones were too tight, but got better over time. If your looking for a wireless headset to chat with friends while gaming, this is an affordable option without sacrificing too much quality.

I really like these headsets. I use similar ones by Logitech at work and I wanted some like it, but didnt want to pay that much for them. I found these and really love them. The sound is great for music, and works very well for VoIP. The headsets hold a charge for quite a long time. I use it mainly for Skype and Gizmo, and have not had an issue with them. These work for over 30 feet from the usb dongle. I would recommend them for anyone looking for a handy transportable headsets. Comes with a nice case.

The headphones have really good sound quality. They are comfortable and can be worn for long periods of time. If I would change anything, I would make the charging usb charging cable longer.

I am very happy with my wireless headset. I can make long distance calls with my computer and walk around the kitchen. When i get a good connection the sound quality seems very good so i don't think i could do better for the price. I usually only spend 10$ on a pair of headsets and they last about 9 months. I recommend this product. I just hope they last a long time. They do get a bit warm after having them on for a while.ck

I do alot of online chatting, for gaming and business. I've used Plantronics USB CS60 which is the best (and now, in an updated version, the standard in many businesses that use VOIP, VERY expensive).Unfortunately, the CS60 base is too bulky to take with a laptop and everything is mobile now.This travel headset is incredible! Easy to use, literally plug and play. The call quality was right up there with the USB CS60. The same wireless range from the base wasn't as good; something I didn't expect since it was made for portability not a desktop, but unlike the USB CS60, this is in stereo so for gaming and music, it takes headsets up to the next level.For those who are into internet communication, this is a must!
