Pros: My first reaction with these was that the sound was very good. People that know what my voice sounds like said the mic worked very well. The travel case is pretty sturdy and will protect the headset during travel. This is where the good news ends.Cons: There is hardly any cushion on the earpads, it's about 1/16th of an inch thick. Notice, in the picture, how close together the earphones are? After about 30- 45 minutes of use this headset transforms into head-clamps, squeezing my ears and causing increasing pain. The USB dongle for this headset is massive and blocks the USB port next to it, I had to use a USB cord extender to remedy this. A fully charged battery will not last the advertised 8 hour usage time. 4 1/2 - 5 hours is what a full charge lasted me. The flexible, bending part of the mic works well but the swivel feature moves way too easily, just about any head movement causes it to begin lowering itself. And finally the biggest deal breaker was this headset interfering with my wireless internet. Simply unplugging the USB dongle always returned the use of my wireless internet to normal. I tried it on 2 desktops and a laptop and on each system, at random intervals, this headset begins to totally block, or slow to a crawl, my wireless internet setup. None of our systems have ever exhibited unusual behavior with any USB device, nor has anything ever interfered with our WiFi. I felt a bit bad returning this as it was a birthday gift, but the headset I exchanged it for works great. This has been one of the worst headsets I have ever come across. The cheap $5 one it replaced was better. Too bad ASUS put it's brand name on this unit.If you travel a lot and only intend to use your headset in short intervals then you may benefit from this headset. The sound was very good and the mic output was decent. The swivel on my unit may have been looser than other units, I don't know as I didn't have another unit to compare it to. The interference with my WiFi probably could have been overcome, and was probably due to my specific setup but I just didn't want to deal with it. IMO it was easier to just drive to the store it was purchased at and get a different model/brand .

This looks like a great product at first glance. It's a lightweight wireless headset that, unlike most others on the market, will let you use it while it's charging. It has excellent range, charges very quickly, and is completely painless in the setup process when using the latest version of Windows. It's like a cheap dream come true.Until you've owned it for 2 months. That's when the plastic swivels that hold the cups to the bar shatter. Closer inspection reveals that they're two pieces of plastic and aren't glued together very well. A couple of zip ties wrapped tightly around the swivels will prevent further damage and reverse damage that's already occurred.Until next week. That's when the cuffs themselves (statistically the left one, because of the microphone boom) will shatter, coming completely off of the swivel mount. There's no way to repair this. I've tried several methods, but the plastic these headsets are made from is so thin that angry thoughts can cause them to shatter. Reinforcing them with any other material only causes the plastic to break somewhere else. ASUS won't replace a physically broken headset, either, claiming that physical damage to the product has to be the result of mishandling. They claim that in order to break the plastic you have to apply direct force to it. They shatter when you reach out to pick them up. I guess breaking inertia (object at rest, etc) counts as 'direct force' in ASUS' legal department's mind.Stay away, stay away, stay away. Don't waste your money on these. Find something else. Hook two tin cans and some string up between your speakers and your head. Anything but these. Seriously.

I keep seeing how people are having trouble with these headphones breaking. We've had ours for nearly a year and a half now and they're going strong. My husband uses his all day at work, and we often use them at night gaming. The guildies in our Ventrilo channels, and friends on Skype, have no problems hearing us with them. The only problem I ever have is that every once in a while my pair loses its connection to its dongle. Either re-pairing them, or plugging them back into the dongle, cures it right away. My husband's don't have this problem, and it's the only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars. It's entirely possible that the difference is that my headphone's dongle sits close to my PC's wireless card. I'll test that out one day when I am thinking about it, and swap with my husband.They do fold in a way I have never seen headphones fold, and if you try to wrench them open the wrong way, bad things could happen. And of course, as with any product, I am sure the occasional pair is simply defective. But as I say, hubby and I are still rocking ours. If/when I replace them, it will be with a pair that I can pair to my phone as well as to my PC.

I lost the USB stick for the headset. I went to the Asus website to order a replacement. I found out they don't sell the part on their website for some reason. After calling product supprot and then being asked to call back using three different numbers, I got someone who could help me order this part. Asus said they would replace it for free as I was within warranty, but the serial number is only printed on the USB stick, which was the item I had lost, and they would not honor the warranty without the serial number. I then asked if I could go ahead and purchase the part anyway and they don't sell it anymore. I bought this headset less then a month ago.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.Shame. On. Me.My second pair of these just broke in the exact same place as before: where they fold in. I have handled this second pair with the utmost care possible and still they break. The battery life is decent, but the range isn't. The wireless signal drops semi-frequently for 3-4 seconds (incredibly inconvenient for any VOIP).I'm a fan of ASUS, but please don't buy these damn headphones. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt after the first break. Big mistake.

This is my first headset to buy in my whole life.I find it very practical and usefulat least for me when I skype my family back home. I can move around in the apartment with nearly no problems with losing signal. The range is not huge but is useful to move aroundI think the charging is enough for like 3-4 hours of usethe good thing that if headset lost its charge, you can connect it to the usb stick and still use itThe wire than connects the headset with the USB stick is kind of short but it is enough if you are sitting in front of the laptop also you can move around after a minute or two of charging and come back to continue charging the headsetto be frank I have a charger (I took from my garmin GPS and I made sure that voltage inputs are the same) and I use to recharge the headset as electric charging is way faster than computer chargingI bought the recharger from amazon the name is : NEW AC WALL CHARGER FOR GARMIN NUVI 200w 250 255 260Wso two things are needed if you want to make this perfecta longer wire to sit comfortably while recharging and an electric charger for faster rechargingI give it 4 stars

This is by far the best wireless headset that I've used and is definitely the best in it's price range. It is comfortable, adjustable and does not feel excessively heavy. It is quite possible to forget that you are wearing it. The charger connection is a mini-USB connector and with many cell phones and other portable devices using the same connector you are likely to have plenty of them around. When the battery runs out I can continue using it in "wired" mode as it recharges. The mic boom is on the left and is extremely flexible. On the right are the controls: On, off, volume up and down and a 'Link' button which can be slaved to perform other functions in applications like Skype where I have it configured to answer and hang-up. The compact carrying case for the headset and its USB fob is the cherry on the top.I am very impressed with the design and engineering of this product. I bought a number of headsets from other better known brand names and found that they were either clunky from poor design or fragile and easily broken. Since I found the Asus HS-1000W I have been enormously pleased with it and it has held together through my travels very satisfactorily.Strong Buy recommendation. :)

Headset is pretty good but I went through my first one in no time. I honestly think my roommate was the one who broke it, but it is a very common thing for these particular headsets to break. I also had a lot of trouble getting the first one to work so I believe it was already 'messed up' when I received it. My second one I ordered worked flawlessly and the only issue that came up is it snapped in the same place as the first one. I used some super glue though and reattached it and have been using it since without an issue. I really enjoy the wireless feature as well as being able to answer Skype calls while I am away from the desk. A big complaint was the instruction booklet, it looked as if a six year old wrote it. I have seen children who can not only speak but write better than the book is written.

I bought this headset in February for use during my World of Warcraft raid nights.I have no complaints on the sound quality (although they would make a loud hissing noise from time to time, connecting the cable solved this problem).I did not find them comfortable at all after an hour of use but I guess this is more of an individual thing.The recharging cable is so short, its not even funny. Why do you care about the cable? If your battery runs out (lasted 3-4 hours for me usually) and you still need to use the headset, you'll want a cable that will allow you to do so. I have a USB connection on my monitor and it was still too short for me.But the real problem with this headset is the build quality. It SUCKS. Big time. The plastic that holds the earcups is too thin and just snapped one day. I know they say "you get what you pay for" and I did not expect my future kids to use it, but for $50 I did expect this headset to last at least a year. It didn't even last 6 months. I am an adult, I have no kids and no one else used this headset except for me. I took very good care of it, like I do with all of my gadgets and computer peripherals.And what's really irritating is that ASUS opened an RMA for me, had me send them the headset for repair (I paid for shipping), and now they refuse to repair it claiming it's physical damage that is not covered by the warranty. They ask for $90 to send me a replacement (YES. $90. the MSRP is $60, but they want $90!). I will avoid ASUS products like the plague from now on, and I suggest to anyone who reads this to do the same.

I purchased 2 of these about 9 months ago for a hundred bucks each, and was very pleased with the sound quality (better than my older Plantronics and Logitech headsets), and was initially satisfied with the build quality. Six months later, the swivel connector broke on one pair. I glued it back together, and it worked for a week and broke again. I just bought two more to replace the two that were a year old, and BOTH pairs broke when I lifted them out of their carrying cases. The screw-posts on the swivel connector had disintegrated (like the screws were tightened too much). If you check online, this is a chronic problem. Shame too, the audio quality, range and battery life (also a plus to be able to listen while charging) are all awesome for this headset.Now... if only I could figure out a DIY headset band these would connect to I would be set. Like I said, the audio quality and range/battery life are all excellent... too bad 75% don't last long enough to enjoy!

I don't normally write reviews of products. I guess I don't like wasting my time. So here it goes. I give this one star same reason of all the other low reviews I read.Swivel cover breaks right off. I got them in the mail went to put on my head bang crescent cheap plastic breaks. Did a return and got a new one was even more careful and again it breaks. Not wanting to wait I just epoxy it back together and loose the swivel function and fold function. Used one day and the other side broke same spot. Now it is epoxied. Out of the rest of the things it seems great but cannot give it more than a star if it breaks first day every time someone buys one.Sound - Great 4/5Easy Setup - 5/5Voice - Great 4/5 No complaints no one saying I sound super clear though just seems to be the same

Ok, first I just have to say that I did read the instruction book unlike many people and this one is hilarious. Who did they get to write this? My guess, A fresh college grad of Taipei university. This is too good not to share. Here is an excerpt then I will finish my review. "Please remember to charge the battery every month at least. And notice that the battery power will lose gradually even you do not use HS-1000W." Theres more but you will have to buy the product to read it.So, I just returned my Razer Carcharias because a headphone started to go out. I figure its something to do with the wire and my son, so I decided wireless this time. Comparing the two is a joke though. The Razer destroys these sadly in comfort and sound quality. I will stick with them though because the cheapest nice wireless gaming headset is about $160 (Creative WOW headset) These Asus headphones are not the headphones you want to wear at a 10 hour LAN party but for an hour or two it would be fine. Just not comfy enough for long periods. Very little padding and they are not noise cancelling by any means. The sound quality is mediocre but if they are being used for VOIP (Skype webex calls ect) then they are fine. They wont give you the deep bass or realistic sounds of bullets flying by the right side of your head though. I play Battlefield Bad Company 2 and I like realistic sounds but don't have the cash for everything I want. This does allow me to hear whats going on, talk to my squad, and doesn't break the bank(which makes my wife happy).A few positive notes, I was told that my voice was very clear. I could also hear voices clearly. I love the case. It fits into a great little travel case and will definitely make them easy to take them on trips with me. Most other headphones are huge and pretty fragile. These fold nicely and have the case so I could toss them in my computer bag and not worry. Then the fact that they are wireless is great. The USB dongle is big and you must charge using the dongle but no big deal. I like that the driver is built into the dongle too, so no downloading needed. I don't know what the standard for battery life on these are but the booklet says that these last 8 hours and need to charge for 2.5. I think thats pretty good. I don't know who could stand to wear these headphones for 8 hours strait but at least if you chose to you would still have juice.Overall good headphones. I wish they were a wireless version of the Razer headphones but at least they seem to do the job and even at a little lower price point. They are easily portable too which is nice. They are about as good as I expected and perfect for talking to people or the occasional movie on the road.

I read the reviews about how these break easily, but was sick of my Logitech clearchat only lasting a year, so i bought it anyway. It never fell on the floor and I never traveled with it, but the ear swivel just randomly broke when I went to adjust the headset on my ear one time.I'm better off with buying an $80 Logitech every year than two $50 asus every 6 months.Other than that, I liked the fact it was light weight. I disliked there was no quick mute button (you have to hold it for several seconds) and there was no quick on/off switch (you have to hold it for several seconds longer).

I can only repeat what the throng of others have already reported about these wireless Headphones... great sound but cheap quality.I actually purchased two of them for the home and the first pair broke at the plastic ear piece connector within 2 months. The second pair just broke yesterday... yep at the same plastic ear piece connector that attaches to the head band component.The thing is, I had read the other reviews and `dismissed' what they had to say. I concluded the other customers must've been `too' rough with the headset. My mistake, and my `bad'. 5 months later I have two broken headsets and clearly would never purchase these again. PLEASE learn from my mistakes on this product. There are other wireless headphones out there with a much better design. SEE Sennheiser RS 110 and RS 120 for a similar price range item.

I have purchased 4 of these.The sound is great. They are extremely comfortable.But there are several hinge points where the plastic is far too thin. All four have broken at hinge points. The headset seems to last about a year before something breaks.I have been EXTREMELY gentle with this last headset; taking them on and off carefully, and it _still_ broke at a hinge point. Fortunately, superglue worked ... barely.It's great value for the money .. but the money don't last.Customer service was polite and they strictly honor their 1-year purchase guarantee, but my 3rd one broke a year and two days after purchase ... and they would not offer a replacement.

Do not bother! We ordered 2 of these. We recieved them and charged them up. Very excited to see how they worked, unfortunatly we never got that far as when my husband tried to put his on they fell apart in his hands. Thinking it was faulty parts I began the return process to get them replaced and he went to try mine. This pair also fell apart in his hands and he was being even more careful so as to make sure they did not. 2 headsets breaking in the exact same place within 5 minutes of each other is not coincidence. Horrible horrible horrible!

I have had this headset for 2 years now. I am a hardcore gamer who uses it a lot and I am in love with it! The range is massive, I can go up to my second floor and still hear what's going on in game. They are also very comfortable, esp after long usage. They have lasted a long time and I am buying 4 more sets for friends.

I am a gamer. That means I use this not only for hours at a time, but the sound also has to compete with machine gun fire, explosions, and a whole host of other game sound effects. I have to hear other people, and they have to hear me under those conditions. And it does the job.That said: It arrived broken. The pivot point where the headphones are held on to the band are ultra cheap. When it arrived, one side was broken. A little glue and a zip tie solved the problem. The next day, while wearing it, the other side broke. Same fix.After fixing those, I'm extremely happy with the headset. The range is great, I can wear the headset two floors below the PC and still communicate. Sound quality and battery life are both awesome. Prior to this I used a Logitech wireless, and although the construction was better, the sound was terrible. No one could hear me talking. This has solved that problem and more.

The headset worked well - initially.Pros: Range is good, even working inside of a 20' steel box, it would work outside to about 20 feet. Sound quality is good. the earpieces clamp down on the ears - if your noggin is wide (I take a 7-5/8" hat) the pressure is tiring. The dongle can be stuck on a USB extension cord to bring it all closer... this is a critical point, as the batteries on mine fail to charge often. The headset comes with a nice molded zip-up travel case about the size of a CD carrier. Pairing is easy and is persistent if the battery is discharged, unlike other devices of this sort that will lose pairing if the battery dies.Cons: The buttons don't work to connect and disconnect a call on Yahoo or Google Talk. Skype worked once, then nothing. The dongle is large and hangs out too far - too easy to snag on the either side of the computer. The charging cable hangs out the side, which blocks anything else - front panel headphone jacks, other USB ports - adjacent to where the dongle is plugged in. The charging cord is very short.By far the worst characteristic of this device is the BATTERY and its charging circuit. Some days the headset will charge, other days it is dead after being plugged in (red light on) overnight. If the battery failed to charge, it might work for 5 minutes, then a piercing buzzing noise will sound in the earpieces, that's like a one minute warning. Hooking the cable up allows it to continue functioning, but this was purchased as a wireless headset.With a bit of re-engineering of the charging circuit (or a better quality battery) to ensure the battery will charge, this headset would be a 5-star. I haven't broken it yet, but it's come close to being intentionally destroyed.

Ordered this headset for myself and as a gift. Opened mine and the ear piece area was broken on both sides. Did an exchange, Amazon rocks for exchanges, and the new one came broken too. Return that one for a refund, had my daughter open the one we ordered as a gift and yup, broken too. Three out of three. All in the same place where the post meets the earpiece. Returned that one and paid to overnight a new gift for Christmas.Asia is usually good, but not on this line.

I bought this headset in March, and it broke in September or October. The little plastic piece just snapped right off so one of the headphones is now dangling uselessly. Got a good half a year out of it, which could be worse for the price. It worked fine until it broke. The battery didn't last very long but that's to be expected. The only problem with that is the charging wire is so short, it's not really practical to wear while charging. Make sure you have a wired back-up.

Headsets with wires always frustrated me. Some cables were tool long, some too short, and then they was the issue of the wires getting in the way. For those who desire the freedom that wireless devices provide the Asus HS-1000W wireless headset may be what you could be looking for.With the Asus headset what you get is a compact, travel size headset with a travel pouch, usb dongle and mini usb connecting cable for charging. The headset is collapsable and well built one with controls on the right side to link it to the usb dongle, adjust the volume, turn it on / off, as well as answer skype calls. for some the headset may feel a bit too tight after prolong use, but most should find them comfortable.The headset collapses and fits neatly into the travel pouch which has a soft interior and firm seashell type casing. It is very compact and will fit easily into your laptop case. Or it can be used to store the headset while not in use and placed on you desk.The usb dongle that plugs into your computer could have been smaller but it seems well built and has an LED light that indicates what state the headset is in (linked / charging). The mini usb cable used for charging however could have been longer.The arm for the mic is bendable so you can adjust it to your specifications, however the rotation up and down feels flimsy. It will hold in the position you place it in but how well it hold after constant use is unknown. So far it hasn't become an issue in early usage.Audiophiles won't be impressed with the sound quality, and that is to be expected with a wireless unit, however the audio quality is still very impressive and has more range that some other wireless headsets. Gamers will be impressed, and it is more than ideal for VOIP, voice chat.Battery life won't be the 8 hours that Asus claims, but you will get over 6 hours if the battery is fully charged. Charge time according the Asus is 4 hours with the first charge and 2.5 hours after that. With any batter powered device these times will vary bases on the temperature. Batteries in cold environments die faster so be aware of that.Asus claims a range of 100ft and it is likely based on and open air test with very little radio wave interference. The maximum distance you get will vary, and most should be pleased with the distance achievable. Another plus is that once you step back into range the headset automatically reconnects.Overall it is easily an 8.5 out of 10. A few minor issues stop it from being a 10 but nothing can be absolutely perfect. Though Asus has come really close this time around.

I love this headset. I have now bought two of them, but they have both broken in the same place where the ear piece swivels. It is a very weak design. I love the sound and the light weight. These headphones were used daily but gently, and still they broke within 35 days of their purchase.

The first headset that was shipped to us came broken. There is a flimsy piece of plastic that holds each ear cup to the assembly. It had split and one cup was hanging by a wire. We returned it for another thinking it was just damaged while shipping or bad luck. The replacement came and appeared to be all in one piece, until we opened them out for wear and guess what was broken? I soon realized that should we ever get one of these in unbroken condition, it would likely break the first time we used it. I returned the second and ordered one of similar price with a more rugged design. It is a shame when an otherwise quality product is ruined by cheap manufacturing in one critical area.

A friend recommended this headset, said it was the best he'd ever used, so I purchased one. It arrived broken (the earpiece had broken off, leaving it hanging by a wire), so I returned it to Amazon, who shipped a replacement immediately. That, too, arrived with an earpiece broken off. The friend who recommended it said his first one arrived broken, too, but the second one was OK. After returning the second one, Amazon just canceled my order, refunded my money, and told me to go buy one from somebody else. Nice, Amazon! I've been purchasing from you since 1997! Not happy.

I purchased the Asus hs-1000w headphones for use with my PS3 (since it was advertised for "gaming". Apparently that gaming must be done on a computer, because the headphones will not, I REPEAT WILL NOT, work with a ps3. Some reviewer said they would, which is why I purchased them. However, after a more exhaustive search of all user comments- the real story is that they will not work. I will keep them to use with my computer (to avoid the restocking fee), but if you want to use them with a ps3- DO NOT BUY THEM!

The headset is doing its job pretty well. I am using it for last one month. The sound quality is good though I have not used it for listening to music yet. I use it mostly for teleconference. I never experienced any volume up down, voice cut or noise even when moving around in my apartment. I knew from the previous reviews that joints of the headphones are not very strong and so I am handling it with care so far. It did not break yet :).This is a good headset provided you can handle with care.

I have been through 2 sets. Each broke where the earpiece meets the head band. i used the 2nd set for a while anyway, holding the ear/mouth piece up to my head. Now, I can hear the person on the line but they cannot hear me. This is junk!

The Good:The headset has a nice design and lightweight, the sound quality is quite good but not top notch. The wireless range is very good. I mainly use the set for gaming at night.The Bad:Battery life is very short and there is no warning when the power is completely drained off...you get cut off abruptly. The charging cord is very short and is done via the transmitter when plug in the usb port...so when charging you cant use speaker. Luckily I got a a charging cord form another device which is the same but plug directly to the usb port...so while charging I can use the speaker.Overall I gave 4 stars only because the price is low for a reasonably good quality product. I think the low battery life will put off a lot of people. If price is not a concern I think logitech is better sound and superior battery life.

I originally ordered two sets of these and was disappointed on unpacking the first to find that one of the earpieces was broken loose from the headpiece. Imagine my further frustration when I opened the other to find BOTH earpieces broken in exactly the same way. I cannot speak to the reception, quality of sound or any other functional aspect. How could I? They were both completely unusable out of the box. If you're looking for a quality set of headphones please avoid these. They are poorly designed and will not survive in use for more than a few days.These headphones are the best argument in the world for running down to your local electronics store to purchase items like this. At least there you can check out the quality before you spend your money.

The audio quality/ comfort is decent. That being said it loses out in every other aspect to the Creative Labs HS-1200 Digital Wireless Gaming Headset with Sound Blaster X-Fi Technology (Black) plastic is flimsy and easily broken,and the battery doesn't seem to hold enough charge. Even when I have it plugged and charging, sometimes it will cut out and need to be turned off so it can charge faster. The only reason I got this was because my Creative HS-1200 wireless headset broke, and I wanted a cheaper replacement. The wireless range is also very limiting. I found that it's about 10 ft shorter than my Creative headset, and doesn't transmit as well through walls. Be careful what you wish for.......

I bought 3 set Travel lite for me and my co-workers, 2 out of 3 had broken with earpiece. The screws on the ring that hold ear piece were too short and i would popped out as you turned the earpiece. We had to use tiewrap to keep the earpices in place. This is really bad quality and we all disappointed. I don't know what kind of the Quality Assurance system they have in place but bad quality escape to the field.

The fasteners for the earpieces both broke off before the headset was ever used. I just tried on the headphones and the fasteners just fell off. This is an extremely flimsy product. I will buy a more sturdy headset.

I took a look at this as I was getting ready to review a Freetalk elsewhere. This headset is identical to the one sold by freetalk wireless AND cheaper. However, before buying this headset, read the following.Got my freetalk wireless headset about a year ago.. I got the deluxe, fold flat model. Sound quality is flawless. Range is VERY good. I've gotten 30ft through WALLS!!! But, there is one problem with it. The swivel section on the earpieces is VERY flimsy!!!.. I broke one of the ear pieces after having the headset for less than 3 months!! No, I was not abusing them. If you look closely at the fold flat model, where the swivel attaches to the ear pieces, there is approximately a one millimeter thickness of plastic connecting them. Totally unacceptable for something designed to be worn on the head. (And I typically wear all headphones around my neck since I use the stereo for listening.) Several other models share the same problem..So, buyer beware and choose carefully. You'll never find fault on the range or clarity.. but you won't be able to wear them long and trying to glue them back together is VERY difficult!!!

OK so these headphones aren't the best. when i charge them i only got 2 hours before i had to charge them again, and i was like OK, so i'l just ear them while i am charging them but guess what? the cord is like less that a foot long!!! then about 2 months after getting them the microphone randomly goes out without warning, sometimes i just have to restart but then 2 weeks after that the mic went out completely.... oh and the headphones start hurting your ears after a while, there's only a thin piece of cloth to separate your ears from hard plastic......EAR BLEEDERS!!waste of money, DON'T BUY!!!

I find this headset to be fairly descent. I bought one a while back because I got tired of rolling over the cords on my wired headphones. My son kept borrowing my wireless set so I needed another and decided to get the same kind.Usage: I mainly use mine to listen to voices and talk with people using Ventrilo or Teamspeak. I am an avid video gamer. The main game sounds come through my system speakers. I do use them also to watch Hulu videos.Comfort: I find these to be a little tight at first on my head. Although, once they have been on my head for a while, I tend to forget they are there. That is evident when I realize I have them on and no sound is coming through them after I am done watching my Hulu shows.Sound quality: I am not the best expert on sound quality as my hearing is starting to degrade with a loss of hearing and Tinitus. I can't hear the high pitch sounds due to this so I cannot tell you if they are there or not.Battery Life: Life was in the 6 to 8 hour range at first but after time, this range dies down. I would say 2-4 hours on the older set. The charging cord is fairly short, so a longer usb cable may be needed.Range: I have my computer in the basement. I can almost make it to the second floor in my house without loss.Likes: What I like about this headset is that you can listen to the headset WHILE IT IS CHARGING. From my understanding, not all headsets can do this.Dislikes: They seem somewhat flimsy since these do fold up. However, they did not break as of yet.

It showed up broken at my door. Luckily, with enough super glue I was able to fix it, but it doesn't look pretty. It works great, but they sent me a broken product.

I should have listened to the other reviews. I have no idea how well this headset works because the earpiece broke off when I was lifting it out of the package. Other people complained about the same thing. Don't buy this unit. The plastic that attaches the earphones to head headband is so brittle that it broke off in my hand. I guess I'm lucky that it didn't happen a month later. Going back to buy a better set.

Great design, for which I would have given a 4 or 5 star rating, however the battery life was horrible. It is advertised having 8 hour battery life, which I have never gotten anywhere near that. I travel extensively for work, so I loved the compact design, carrying case and the freedom of wireless. I use Skype extensively for work and frequently listen to pod casts while doing busy-work. The problem is that I only get 1 to 2 hours of battery life from a full charge. I ordered one and was very disappointed in the 1-2 hour battery life. I sent the first one back and ordered a second one because I thought I must have gotten a defective headset. The second one had the same battery life. I repeatedly made sure I thoroughly charged the unit and got the same results. It would not make it through a couple of hour long conference calls before dying.I would have kept the headset and just dealt with the poor battery life by leaving it plugged into the USB charger throughout the day, however the charging cable is only about 2 feet long restricting movement extensively while using it while charging. This is a serious design flaw - why not provide an extra foot or two of length to the charging cable, making it easier to use while plugged in and charging. The other nagging issue is no warning when the battery is about to die. I talk frequently to customers throughout the day and it dies without warning.Other than that, I loved the freedom of a wireless headset and compact design. I also got great service form [...].

I sometimes play xbox live games with the same group of people, and the xbox headset/voice chat has been woefully inadequate. We all bought a set of these, and are using them in conjunction with a pc + skype. It's been a massive improvement. No words are lost, no cut in/cut out, fantastic voice and sound quality. I hadn't planned on using these to listen to music, but I tried it out anyway and they sound awesome.Battery life is a little disappointing, as is the short charging cord. I think I may pick up a longer cord if I can, the plug looks to be a commonly used mini usb type. Perhaps the battery life will improve after a few charge cycles, the instructions said charge them 4 hours until the light goes off. The light went off much sooner than that. I'll concede that battery life is always going to be a drawback of any wireless device, and the extra freedom and charge option is the best way to make up for this.If you're using these in front of a computer, I can't recommend them highly enough. If, like me, you want something that you can connect to a PC in one room, then go off in another room and still use then the battery life is something to keep in mind. I don't know if the range affects the life, I got probably 3-4 hours out of it from about 50ft away, through two walls.Which brings me to my last point. The range is outstanding. I couldn't find a spot in my house where they didn't work perfectly. That includes upstairs, through multiple walls etc.

Just received the wireless headset with mic combo from Amazon and I was blown away by its usefulness. The price is affordable compared to others, it's comfortable to wear for long periods of time, the sound quality is decently good considering it to be wireless and functionality is easy (KISS concept), just plug and plat mostly. Did require a bit of configuration before being able to be used and on my Mac I had to actually activate it as my output speakers to hear them, something not explained and also the mic has to be activated through Mac's System Preference panel/ Sound in order to work at all but once done it's great. So I would definitely recommend this item to anyone. Still need to test the quality of the Mic's recording ability/ clarity but I expect it to be very decent like the headset part.

Very nice - living up to my expectations.The only improvements I can think of are: - it would be nice if there was a warning tone before the batteries were exhausted - a longer charging lead would suit me better, as my desk setup makes it difficult to use the headset while it is being charged - why not use blue-tooth?Still, it is a great device at a very good price. And, despite using the cheap postage option it arrived (in Australia) in less than a week.
