I bought this motherboard to use in a cheapo gaming pc. This was also my first ever pc build. After about a month of research I decided on this board because there seemed to be very few DOA's in the reviews, and because it was only $54.99. Here are the other components that I used:Antec vp450 power supply.G. Skill DDR3 1600 8GB (2 x 4GB)Intel Pentium G2120 3.1 GHzWD Blue 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3Samsung DVD burnerCheapo Apex caseWindows 7I hooked everything up, plugged in the power supply, pressed the power button and...massive relief. The system posted and the Asrock bios screen popped up. I installed Windows 7 and updated the video drivers. It's been over a month and the pc is running great. There's a huge improvement in my Windows Experience Score compared to my old pc, and that's without a dedicated video card. I still haven't decided on one yet. So, I would definitely recommend this motherboard. It's cheap and it works. What more can you ask for?

Paired with Core i5-3570K and Kingston KHX1600C10D3B1K2/16G memory with zero problems. BIOS config is much much nicer than I've seen (allows a mouse). Layout is good considering the form-factor. Gives you very good control over fan speed, overclocking, and a myriad of other things.Ubuntu 12.10 install with dual monitors was a breeze! Had the entire system built and installed in about 2 hours. No driver issues, no funny Linux workarounds. Just works.

Got this board for great price from amazon warehouseWell built uefi bios, 4 3.0 usb ports,Variety of display ports, Asrock Good Quality, defeintely something that will last for years & give you good performances.Cons -*No PCI express which in the future is going to be the standard for every add on card & this board came out in the recent year knowing that.*No front usb 3.0 i can get over that with a pci express i would have the option to update to it

With the recent release of steam big picture mode I decided to put together my own steam box. This board was a great fit for the build. It was stable and rock solid out of the box. All components and ports were recognized on boot.It has solid features with USB 3.0 and a SATA 6 gb connection. I paired it with an intel SSD and keep the other programs minimal. I can get into big picture mode from cold boot in about 20 seconds. Very pleased.I have not purchased ASRock before, but I am very pleased with the quality. I bought this in place of a biostar board that had a bad dimm slot and am very happy I did. Directions were clear and had it up and running in minutes. BIOS is clean and easy to tweak.Would reccomend for a HTPC or a Steambox build.

This board has all the right things. PCI-Express 3.0, 16GB 1600 memory max, USB 3.0 and SATA3 6Gbs. Only has 1 PCI-E slot, meaning you can only put one other card in, but if your looking at Micro-ATX you should know you are limiting yourself. A must by for those working with a low budget. Only complaint I had is the board made some creaking noises when installing the CPU, but thats normal from most boards, if this is your first build board, don't freak out! A MUST BUY!!

This board is unbeatable for the price. Expandability is a bit limited with only one PCIe 16x port but it's PCIe 3.0!... And you do get a 1x slot also. With SATA3 and USB3 plus USB3 headers for front panel connections is unheard of for a board at this price. If you're building an everyday use desktop or and HTPC this is the best bang for the buck!

i am using this motherboard for htpc duty. this with i3 3225 and an SSD with pico psu idles at 16W. I was having issues with my wireless keboard waking the motherboard from sleep with other motherboards but this one does it fine. The XRAM software is wonderful. I am usnig 16 GB ram divided to 8 GB Virtual hard drive for temp files. The softwares sets up the virtual hard drive and correctly changes the environment variables to point to the virtual. awesome. system response with IE is almost instantaneous.
