NOT a Zojirushi!
This is a cheap imitation of the original Zojirushi!! I am surprised they even let their name be put on such an inferior product. It no longer keeps hot drinks hot for more than a few hours. The bottle is thin and has NO INSULATING properties. You will do better to buy a cheap grocery store mug and save your money. This is nothing like the original Zojirushi I bought several years ago. They were once so good I bought them for friends as special gifts -- will not do that again. So disappointed with this product. Should have returned it but the time ran out before I was able to. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! THIS IS JUNK! NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL!

Totally worth the money!
This 12 oz fits under my Keurig. It is really tiny compared to other travel mugs I have bought in the past. I was worried that it would be too small for my coffee and creamer.
All of that worrying was for nothing! This thing is perfect. I use the second setting on the right. There's enough room for coffee and plenty of creamer.

I am glad I got this.
This Zojirushi has taken my coffee and tea into new categories. I don't know if you know that most coffee shop drink cups and items are not recyclable. And with the low or no trash movement in 2018-19, reusable things are all the rage.
I got my champagne gold Zojirushi in 2013, and while I don't use it every day, the days I use it I am amazed at how well it has stood up to time.
I like the color, I like the lid, I like to drink from it, and I like how my stuff stays warm.
BTW, I don't put cold things in this, I don't brew tea in it, all drinks are made outside and put into the tumbler.
Now in 2019, the gasket has broken, and you can get replacement parts off the Zojirushi site and my 16oz is just waiting for me to get it. Too bad I am way out of everybody's warranty, but the gasket is under $7, more with shipping.

Retains Heat Really Well!
I had heard about this mug a couple times and was a bit spectacle about it retaining heat for so long especially because of the price. Other insulated mugs that I have used keep my coffee warm but not as hot as I would like it to be. But I decided to give it a try and was so surprised that my coffee was actually hot after being in the mug for a while. I have a 45-minute commute to college and by the time I arrive my coffee is still as hot as when I poured it in. It is also great quality and looks really nice. The pink is shiny and has a nice glossy finish. The mug isn't heavy which makes it convenient for when I am walking around campus. Another plus to the 12 oz mug is that it fits underneath my Keurig so I can easily pour the coffee into the mug. The only thing I would warn to be careful with is the seal that comes with can fall off when washing it and without it, the liquid will spill. In addition, just making sure that the lid is on correctly to avoid any leaks. Other than that, when correctly sealed, there are no spills making it easy to carry inside a bag or backpack. So glad I made this purchase!

Great thermos
This is the 12 oz stainless steel interior. Some reviewers noticed a discoloration on the rubber stopper, I saw it too and once the stopper was dry it went away. Scrubbing the discoloration will probably ruin the stopper. Also the broken latch problem, this item has a lock for the latch, people may have been trying to force the latch not realizing it was locked and breaking it.
It is well designed and keeps coffee hot for hours, it was still warm after I left it in the office for 24 hours. The lid is clever as it pauses before springing open to keep moisture from flying out, and a magnet keeps it open on the other side. You can drink right out of the lid with a little pouring shelf.

best stainless vacuum bottle out there, no kidding
I must have 10 vacuum cups and mugs, but the Zojiushi 48XA stainless bottle beats them all--by a wide margin. I read the excellent reviews and even though it was pricey, I took a chance. I have a Zojirushi coffee maker (2nd one) with a thermal carafe and it is outstanding. I was not disappointed in this stainless bottle, in fact, if anything, all my expectations were exceeded. Top features: keeps liquids hot for a long time, hours. I accidentally left my coffee at home one one day and after being out for 5-6 hours I found it on the counter at home and poured out the old coffee. Of course, I had to test it to see how hot it still was and I almost burned my fingers! Duh. Note, I love HOT coffee and tea, so I always pre-heat the bottle with boiling water from a teapot just for a minute or two while I am fixing my cup of coffee. Just know your hot drink will stay very hot for a minimum of 2 hours, and acceptably hot for up to 3-4.
Second, it is totally leakproof which is a must if you are going to carry it in a vehicle. I am very happy with that feature (unlike Yeti's second gen lid which still is not leakproof)

So, after all that, if you want a stylish, well-made stainless bottle that is easy to clean, easy to hold and transport, and which keeps your coffee and tea hotter than any other bottle on the market, buy it. I highly recommend it.

Amazing Design Makes This The BEST Travel Mug On The Planet!!
This product should win an award for the best designed travel mug on this planet. It DOES NOT LEAK. Ever. It keep beverages hot or cold for months! Just kidding, but it does keep a cup of coffee piping hot for the entire morning so you can have hot coffee after lunch. Fill it with cold water and it's great to have icy cold water all day. The lid flips up with one hand and stays up with a clever locking mechanism. It fits comfortably in your hand and is the perfect size for car cup holders. Best of all? It's easy to clean because it completely disassembles for washing and then is a snap to reassemble. Stainless steel interior does not allow for staining or residual smells. The only issue is that when you receive this, you will think you ordered the wrong size. It looks way too tiny to hold 12oz. - but it does. And finally, the black powder coat finish is just damn cool! You'll look like a rock star holding this! Best ever price on Amazon. Every time I show this to people - they go out and buy one. I'll bet I've 'sold' over a dozen of these containers.

Tried a bunch. This is the BEST
I've looked at these for a few years and balked at the price. In my efforts to save $$ I've spent more than this costs just to realize it IS INDEED THE BEST. My most recent experience was with a Contigo and I was extremely disappointed to find my coffee went COLD in my car 2 hours after a parked at work. I have a 1 hr commute so that means the coffee went completely cold in 3 hrs. That was when I decided to buy a Zojirushi travel mug. This thing is without a doubt, the best at keeping liquids hot. It is also incredibly easy to clean.
When I had the Contigo I had to buy a bottle brush and scrub the springs and the sip hole. It was a PITA. The Zojirushi is simple and easy to clean. I no longer find myself staring at my travel mug, dreading the cleaning process. My only regret is not buying one sooner. Save yourself the grief. If you're a coffee person, just buy this. You won't be sorry

Almost missed this gem due to Fakespot analysis
Amazon reviews are one of the most helpful aspects of Amazon, and I often check Fakespot -- but it's not infallible. Knowing that, I took a gamble on this even though Fakespot gave the reviews a D rating. What I wanted most was a bottle that kept cold, COLD. This bottle is incredible for that. Ice lasts until the next day! Once I filled it with ice, then water, and left it in a hot car on a immensely hot day and hours later there was still ice. Granted it was more ice than I usually start with, but still! I've since tried it with hot beverages - it's true to all the reviews written about that. Second, I love that you can grip and open with one hand. Finger snap the lid closed, and it DOESN'T LEAK. And yes, super easy to clean. One small thing - and this isn't a ding on the product since I knew the size before ordering - I think I'll try the 20 oz vs the 16 oz if I ever have to buy another. 16 oz sounds like a lot but when you're outside sweating like crazy, and have ice displacing water in there, you're refilling often. But the extra 4 oz isn't enough of a difference for me to return this one. Since purchasing this I can't help buy eye others when I see them in stores - I haven't seen anything that I like remotely well as this one. A very good purchase for me, I use it every day.

Worth every penny
I am revising a previous review to warn people about READING THE INSTRUCTIONS and making sure you FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Make sure you deep clean this mug about once a month, removing every gasket and bit that you can; otherwise, you're gonna end up with a coffee-ish slime in those nooks and crannies and you'll be sitting there with a toothpick cursing life.
I've had this mug about a year and despite the ridiculous amount of maintenance it requires, it is still fabulous and performs exactly as it says it will. No issues with the paint, but I am not rough with my things. No leaks and beverages stay hot for hours and hours. I take it camping with me, and have gotten in the habit of making a mug of coffee before bed so I have something warm to drink in the morning while I'm heating fresh water. Don't get me wrong, the beverage isn't piping hot the next morning, but it's warm and warm is better than nothing on a chilly mountain morning.

Still one of the best travel mugs you can buy!
Bought one for my wife years ago and my daughter lost it, so I got another.
When it came in, it was missing a gasket but I didn't know and my wife wasn't familiar. She filled it up with coffee and it ended up spilling hot liquid all over the place... not fun. However, Amazon made it super easy and sent us a new one, and I just have to drop off the old one at a Kohl's.
I could have sworn I've done a review on my black version, but guess it was another listing. Coffee still stays hot and this mug does an almost-too-good job at keeping temperatures where they are. Sometimes I'll even drink the coffee the next day (I hate waste) and it's still warm after 24 hours!
Easy to break down and clean. I honestly clean it occasionally... it just holds coffee and some sugar, but if you use creamer, I would clean it after each use. There are only a few parts to separate, and it's very easy to put back together. I recommend getting a bottle brush for the inside.
The lid locks back when you open it so you don't get "coffee nose." There are two holes in the "spout" to let coffee flow smoothly with air pressure.
The lid is plastic and the body is metal. It is still pretty durable and has held up to years of abuse. The paint on my black mug has been scratched a lot, but for years of use, I don't care since it still holds my coffee and now has a "seasoned" look to it.
Still highly recommended. Great design!

Durability is suspect
I'm a water and coffee bottle geek. I have a couple of Yeti's, Contigo, Thermos etc. Based on the reviews I bought this bottle. I was happy for 6 months because it definitely has one of the best heat and cold insulations out of any bottle. However, it has the worst durability and customer service out of the the companies mentioned. My bottle was hand washed and never put in the dishwasher. The outside started peeling as shown in the picture. Contacted the company and without even a question of inquiry, I was told "tough". Our warranty doesn't cover it. So.... think twice if you want a bottle that lasts.

Far exceeded my wildest expectations A+!
I'm speechless. At first I was hesitant as 28 bucks seemed a bit steep for a travel mug; boy was I shocked by the quality of this product! BEST 28 bucks I'd ever spent... This is not my first travel mug.. i've been thru a dozen or so... there was always an issue.. whether they looked weird or they leaked or were hard to drink from or to wash or, the most common one: they did not keep beverages warm for too long.
I am writing this review 6:00 pm... I had prepared my coffee (piping hot) and placed it in the mug 'round 8:00 am. I just opened the mug and steam came rushing out!! It was literally too hot to drink!! I had forgotten it at home...
If you want a mug whose design look professional enough to take to work... easy to hold/carry... easy to drink from and to clean... keeps your beverages temperature for ridiculously long time intervals: I strongly recommend this item... wow... just wow!

Never put this in the dishwasher!
The unit holds heat, but if you put it in the dishwasher, the latch will fail. Why? According to their customer service department, the plastic loses strength due to the heat (and moisture?) in the dishwasher. The plastic breaks around the hinge pin. A replacement cap costs $12. What is bothersome is they know the problem with the plastic, but have not replaced it. There should be a warning sticker on the unit not to place it in a dishwasher. I wonder if it is even safe to wash it in hot water?

best water bottle... and i've tried a bunch
2 main things about this bottle that make it superior to all others.
1) the design of the mouth of the water bottle is such that the part that your lips touch are not where the seal is. therefore, you don't get lip gunk trapped in a tight place where it gets all gross and bacteria-ridden.
2) something about the way this is made makes it such that liquids stay colder longer. works better than my Orca or my Hydroflask brand bottles, and many other cheaper ones. legitimately, i can put 3 ice cubes in it before bed from my icemaker, and there will still be a tiny little bit of them left 8 hours later at wakeup. super love this thing.
lastly, not made in china. always a bonus for me personally.

Finally!
I’ve bought two of these and both work flawlessly. It’s easy to use single-handed, it locks, and it keeps my coffee so hot I started putting ice cubes in to get it to a drinkable temperature first. My coffee is still hot 4-5 hours later and lukewarm even after 8 hours. The bottle is smaller and lighter than any other I’ve had and this is the first bottle with a interior coating that doesn’t rust or get discolored even after two months of daily use. I do miss having a hook or loop to hold it by but that’s a minor inconvenience. This is also the first bottle I feel confident is clean when I wash it. There is one sliver of plastic in the spout that you need a small wire brush for but otherwise there are no recesses or tunnels where mold can grow. I’ve had thermos, contigo, and camelbak brand bottles and have either needed tools to disassemble them or had to use q-tips to reach into various crevices. This is one of the best insulated bottles I’ve used and highly recommend it to all my friends.

I never thought I'd call a travel mug beautiful
This is an awesome travel mug and thermos. I was looking for a travel mug to put tea in that would seal up completely, so I could toss it in my bag for the commute to work without fear of leaks. I bought this one because Zojirushi has a great reputation in home appliances, and I trusted that it would be well made. Second of all, it's beautiful - and I never thought I'd say that about a travel mug.
A few points:
The mug looks every bit as awesome in person as in the pictures. It's sleek and minimalist. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the gold, but the color is pretty true to the photos. Not garish gold so much as a slightly metallic golden brown.
This mug has only ever leaked once, and that was because I didn't assemble it properly. After washing it one time, I didn't realize the rubber ring that seals the mouth piece had come off before putting it in my backpack. So that was my fault. Otherwise this thing is airtight, and you can toss it in a backpack or purse without worry.
It keeps beverages hot for a very long time. One morning I put tea in the mug and forgot about it all day. The following day when I went to dump it out, the tea was still hot.
The lid disassembles allowing for very easy cleaning. If you get any brown buildup from tea or coffee in the mouth piece, I recommend soaking it in denture tablets for a few hours. This softens the buildup allowing for very easy removal, and it disinfects. You'll need a bottle brush since the container itself is quite narrow.
I also appreciate that the mouth piece is a perfect size and allows you to sip easily without your beverage spilling out along the sides like with some travel mugs.
Honestly I can't think of any cons except maybe the price relative to other travel mugs, but I believe I got the quality and design I paid for. Plus, if you take good care of it I expect it'll last a very long time. I've had mine for close to two years now and I'm still quite happy with the purchase.

As a man with an average sized nose this is ...
As a man with an average sized nose this is uncomfortable to drink from. The lid does not fall back far enough to grant full clearance to the nose for a satisfying chug of coffee.

Retains heat for several hours, and easy to clean!
I've been using this for five months. I had bought a contigo travel mug before, but didn't use it much because (1) My backpack at the time had a narrow sidepocket so fitting Contigo was hard, (2) I use tea and coffee interchangably, and and the inside of the Contigo mug retained the tea aroma and I had to use a lot dishwash each day if I am filling in a different beverage to carry that day. The Zojirushi mug solves both problems. It's sleek design makes it fit most sidepockets (although I am using a different backpack now so that's not really a problem anymore), and it's easy to clean. The inside of this mug is very smooth and non-staining. I can wash it once with tap water and the aroma of tea or coffee is gone. As for the heat retention, there have been several reviews and I agree with them. I fill this with coffee at 9AM and it remains hot even at 4PM. The only improvement I would like is to have some tiny silicone legs/buttons at the base so that it doesn't make a noise when placed on a table.

The 16oz size is perfect.
Just got it and I'm impressed. I was surprised at how sleek it is. It fits perfectly in my soft briefcase bottle holder. The girth is no bigger than a 16oz plastic bottle of water.
I saw a picture review of a man stating that the lid pokes you in the eye while you're drinking out of it. Well I can say that's false or he has an older version I'm not sure. The one I got the lid pushes back after opening it thus while you're sipping out of the spout the lid does not come in contact with you. In one of my images you can see clearly that the lid Folds back at an angle. I seen some other negative reviews about the longevity paint peeling standing of the rubber parts and so on and so on, I can't State anything beyond just receiving it and testing it and so far it lives up to its name and reviews. Keeps my coffee warm all day
I've used this one almost daily for almost a month. It works great! Fill it with my coffee and toss it in my briefcase. As long as you don't overfill it as I did once, it never spills and keeps drinks warm all day.
One morning, I filled it up, headed to work, got super busy, and completely forgot about it. I remembered as I was getting ready to leave several hours later, so I checked it. It was still warm (not hot, but warm), and I finished it on my way home.
Best coffee thermos I've found, and it fits perfectly in the tiny cupholder in my car. No other one I have tried has ever fit. I always had to either hold it between my legs or prop them in between the seats and hope it didn't tip over. I cannot recommend this brand any higher. 10/10 and I have since ordered 2 more in different sizes. And as a bonus, they all fit in my cupholder!
Only downside is that you really need a sponge with a pole of some sort to thoroughly clean it all the way to the bottom.

These are very nice and really do keep coffee HOT!! However, one of the two arrived seemingly used. It was scratched and the inside looked terrible--threw away rather than try to return. The one that I kept is absolutely wonderful--1st time i actually found something that actually keeps my coffee hot literally all day. Skeptical as to whether I would buy again as I hate the process of having to return, hope the one I kept holds up.

The best travel mug I found--not perfect: the inside of lid always has a wet spot that can drip
This is leakproof, really nicely made, keeps drinks warm, is easy to clean, and has a nice sipping rim. I like that the part that your mouth touches is covered by the lid, when closed. The main issue with this is the design of the inside of the flip-open lid. It uses a soft silicone stopper (like a cork) that seals against the sipping hole when the mug is shut. The problem is that the tip of the silicone stopper always gets a drop of liquid on it, which becomes a dripping hazard when the lid is opened. That drop on the underside of the lid can then drip on things, or, if you flick open the lid too fast (it has a spring), it can flick that drop of your drink across a table! So I always have to have a napkin out to dry off the drip inside the lid every time I open the mug! It is a perfect size, not too large. Despite the design flaw, I have learned to live with it.
