Good vibes from the original, sturdy and professional WAHL hair clippers.
I was concerned about some of the negative feedback that the product was seemingly delivered in poor packaging and also not being original and also may have been used earlier. I found none of that, seals were intact, product was just as described, and all accessories mentioned were there.
The COVID10 pandemic caused me to really value our hairdressing professionals and since it may be a long time before I could avail of any such services, I had to figure it out independently on the joys of cutting your own hair. Really good videos out there who vouch for this very product and I found their description accurate about this product. When they say it's one of the classic products, no doubts there - it gives great confidence when you switch it on and you can hear the 'khat' sound and the solid vibrations coming from the machine. Really gives ‘good vibes’ knowing that the motor is really powerful.
I used it to clip the hair of 3 members of my family including mine.
This may not be a full solution to cutting your own hair as the job has to be complemented with scissor snipping for the top of the head – IF you want a particular hairstyle and not happy with using it to get a short haircut on the top of the head as shown in some of the videos. But I do wish they had combs of up to 1 inch along with this to enable a larger length of hair on the top of the head which can be worked upon progressively with the other combs. I don’t think this is a major difficulty but rather a preference, as the ones supplied are more than sufficient. The rest are accessories that can be ordered separately, but I doubt I need to do this. The quality of the combs especially the flat-top comb is really good. The length of the power cord is more than sufficient and feels solid and also has a three-pin plug for safety. The on/off switch is really solid and inspires confidence – it’s well placed and accessible even with wet/oily fingers easily.
The oil bottle supplied may seem small but given my experience with using other clippers – this is adequate for a long time to come. Most videos mentioned that with proper maintenance (cleaning, oiling/etc) this clipper can last for a long time.
I like the fact that this is a corded clipper as I don’t have to worry whether the battery is going to run out – interrupting the hair-cutting session. Plug it in and let it rip!
The inner box that houses the clippers and its accessories is strong and sturdy and it’s easy to put back everything and box it back-up safely with the red guard on the clippers after oiling. If you’re going to cut your own hair, you may need to buy yourself a good mirror too so please consider this.
Overall WAHL is living up to its reputation and I wish you all the best in your quest for the best hair grooming product!

Received damaged product and it makes cracking noise too
Received damaged product similar to what other customers reported already.
Also during the first use itself every now and then it suddenly makes strange and loud cracking noise which is frightening as if it might suddenly explode. That is why I won't recommend it to anyone.

Nice trimmer
It's a very nice clipper with good wire length. May take some time to get used to it especially to trim hair from the back of the head. Noise & vibration is not much & quite normal for a professional clipper. It could feel a bit heavy for some but that is not a deal breaker.
It could improve in the following areas:
1) The power button is too low & could have been a bit higher & would be better ergonomically.
2) It's too slippery hence the holding area can be rubberised.
3) Oil quantity given is too less or miniscule.

Very small, fits the palm of your hand. Easy to maneuver, does not strain the wrist at all.
Cuts hair fine. Had a couple of instances where beard hair was pulled a bit, but other than that overall operation was smooth.
Downside is the largest comb is 5mm, which is good for a crew cut. If you want to keep longer hair, you need to get larger size combs or use a regular comb along with the trimmer which would be difficult.
Cleaning the blades is a little tedious. After a thorough trimming, disconnect the trimmer, open the blade area and remove all the hair from the trimmer to make it squeaky clean. The supplied brush does a good job of cleaning chumps of hair, but can't clean strands stuck in crevices. Use an old toothbrush to give it a nice cleaning.
Use a few drops of oil before and after use and run the trimmer for a few seconds after oiling.

For the Sheer Pleasure of a Haircut. At home.
I had tried using a beard trimmer earlier for a hair cut, and ended up looking like a Tirupathi devotee. Then I figured out that trimmers work only on shorter hair. Longer hair fouls them up. This clipper is designed to be used for haircuts, which it does admirably well. All you need to do is plug it in and turn it on. The movement is exactly as in a salon. And I got a hair-cut (almost) as good - without any Covid exposure risk. I first used the half-inch guard (#4), followed by the shortest one (#1) for the hair at the back and sides of the head. Oh yes - you should oil the blades before and after, as instructed.
But you can’t do this on your own - you need someone else to help. The clipper is really heavy, and vibrates a lot. My son, who helped me, said his arm started aching. Not an issue, since you have to do this only once a month.
The package arrived quickly - within 6 hours of being ordered. The Wahl box was packed in an Amazon bag. Therefore, as others have said, the box was dented a bit. However, the clipper and accessories were all in a sturdy, moulded plastic tray inside, and were in pristine condition. And they worked perfectly.
People have also complained that the blades get blunted in 2-6 months. Maybe. I am keeping my fingers crossed🤞 till then. Let’s see. 🙂

Good Clipper
Very sturdy and good quality build. It will certainly last long. Easy to use and very effective. Model received is Made in Hungary.

it is a powerful machine, Cuts hair very fast and with precision. Chord length is good enough to have free movement.
It comes with accessories like comb for hair cut length adjustment, lubrication oil, a comb etc. , found them pretty useful.
Only problem I observed is- it starts with a big sound.. may be some problem with my clipper. Seller team can clarify on this.
Other thing is, it is on heavier side as compared to other clippers, but I think that's not an issue. Needs little bit practice to handle it!!!

Robust Product with Excellent quality
I had used a cheaper Phillip's trimmer earlier (about Rs. 1700 ) but it proved to be useless after a few months of use as the hair used to get stuck in the blade mechanism and it finally stopped working properly. Also the motor wasn't powerful enough for my thick beard. This Wahl Professional trimmer works like a charm. It is very sturdy and the build quality is top notch. I think as the motor is quite powerful it is slightly more noisier than the Phillip's trimmer.
But in my opinion this Wahl Professional trimmer is worth every penny for those who prefer trimming the beard on their own on regular basis at this price point.

Sturdy and powerful
I got this just today and used it to give myself a quarantine haircut. This is a nice, heavy, and powerful product that does not take much time to do its job. When you get it, it may make a lot of noise, but read through the instructions and turn the screw on the side a couple of times anti-clockwise to make it go quiet. Plug it in, turn it on, and with a screwdriver (the manual says a coin will do the job too) turn the big black screw a few times anti-clockwise. Additionally, the blades were not on the same level, so I adjusted them too. I did some research on the different hair clippers before settling for this one, and I pray it lasts. No reason not to. All in all, I am glad I bought it and look forward to experimenting with being my own barber.

It has one of the best build. ok enough of build, lets come to how it works.
When you power it on the clipper just vibrates very strangely but dont worry its just normal as mentioned in the description. and then it works 100% perfectly fine with no issues.
The vibration is a bit high , but you will just get used to it . So dont worry . Many of you wouldnt have tried cutting by yourselves so it might just feel as if its vibrating a bit higher. Its just absolutely normal and happens in all other clippers . I have nothing ele to say Just but it if you need it. At about 4 to 5 k this has to be the best.

Go for it - sturdy & original product
Well i had ordered the same one couple of days back which was a pre used & then i asked for replacement and this one is goood. It’s new, blades are good, has cleaning brush, oil, 1 normal comb, 4 clipper combs (black in colour and wahl written on each). This clipper is made in USA.
We had hair cuts and they came out pretty well (considering we were doing it ourselves). Do use combs (in 4 sizes) and also refer videos before you have a hair cut. There are reviews that this hair clipper makes lots of noise- nope that’s not the case - moreover one can adjust the black screw in the side to eliminate it.
Overall, i am happy that i bought it - its sturdy, made in USA (quality) & not made in china.

Awesome trimmer. Strong build, Great Quality
Excellent product. Due to the Covid scenario, I did not want to risks going out so I decided to buy a good trimmer. I am not a professional hair dresser, but I was looking for a heavy duty trimmer to shape mine and my kids hair. There is a big difference between the regular trimmer and this professional trimmers.
I was using the regular trimmers like philps, panasonic etc, but those trimmers are just good for short hair, mostly the beard or around the ears. When it comes to long hair, the motor as well as the blade is just not capable. It was a torture for my kids, when I tell them it's hair cut day due to pain and time these normal trimmers take.. And so I decided to buy this. I have no words, as it made my life so so smooth and easy.
The Whal trimmer I bought after so much research in internet and I am absolutely happy with it. Definitely some getting used to is required as the trimmer is bit heavy. The build quality is excellent, it is wired hence no battery failures.. The motor and the cutter is very strong to easily cut long and thick hair. I am really happy with this buy

Excellent product, not easy to use
Have used for a month, did 3 lockdown haircuts and received one (all male), all at home. An excellent product, but be mindful of the need to oil before each use - see videos on Youtube demonstrating this and cutting techniques before you start using for best results.
One star removed as it is wired (although long enough), has very strong vibrations which can leave your hand numb and, when used inverted to clear the neck can cause redness and minor nicks - need to use with care in this mode.
EDIT: The problem of nicks when inverted can be solved by adjusting the gap between the cutting blade and the base plate. Recommend also cleaning the insides at that time. Look on youtube...
Use this an a small scissors for the best results!
