Works well land has a powerful vacuum. It doesn't get every hair but better than others I've had. The only complaint is that the length adjustments are made by snapping the combs on and off. One combs has the ability to adjust but it is not easy to use. Overall it's good but could be great with better adjustability.

I was very neutral when I got this trimmer. Not sure if it was anything special. Performance wise it did fantastic. I only needed to trim my beard and mustache a couple times a week. It trimmed very nice and was easy to maneuver. Light on the weight which is important when you're holding it by your face for a while. I charged it before I left town and came back a week after and it was still working great. The battery life is very long. One and only one downside is the vacuum strength. It sucks up some hair, but there's some work that needs to be done to that suction power. I still needed to clean up afterwards. I would recommend it to my friends.

Other reviews are right in that the vacuum gets 90% of the hair but think about how much 10% of your hair is spread out as single hairs, it takes pretty much the same amount of time to clean up because since it has a vacuum sucking in air, that air has to go out somewhere and so the air comes out of the "stripes" holes on the front and it blows whatever hair doesnt go into the vacuum everywhere!!! Hair ends up all over the sink and as single hairs not clumps! This is for head hair and 3 month beard, for weekly beards the vacuum is alright

I use to have the wahl 4570 with vacuum intake and was very happy with it until the motor gave out. This item is a lot bigger and harder to put on attachment. Also the power adapter is not easy to plug into shaver it has a weird connector. Don't know why they gotta make it difficult. Overall I would not buy it again.

First impressions weren't good, persevered for a couple of weeks and its only got worse. Vacum gets about 50% of clippings, if I have to clean up anyway then the vacum is just pointless and just adds to the noise.
The adjustable comb for the beard is flimsy, smallest amount of pressure and it changes length, I ended up with several shorter patches. None of the fixed length combs are a size I need.
I have gone back to my old Phillips trimmer that is dieing until I decide on a new one (don't want to make the same mistake again)

While I miss my old Wahl vacuum shaver, this works well. After reading some negative comments, I was concerned about its sturdiness with the attachments but found that the adjustable attachment works well once put in place. Since the unit does not feel as sturdy as my original unit I just avoid removing the plastic blade adjuster

Light and convenient to use, but when I swapped out the trimmer head for the other attachment, when I reattached the trimmer head again, it broke. Amazon replaced the entire item, but it seems wasteful to have to return the entire product, which will be thrown away, rather than to sell the replacement assembly for the plastic part.

I am not going to the barber right now with the COVID all over the place so decided to get a good set of clippers. My wife and i we get it done. Before we made a mess of our bathroom sink. Thought i would try this one with the built in vacuum works great. A little loud but who cares it gets the job done and keeps the mess down. You may have a little hair in the sink but not much. No sure what others are complaining about i find this to be a great product.

The description says there are 12 combs to regulate the cutting depth, as well as a 10 position adjustable comb. There is no adjustable comb and only 8 fixed length combs.

Otherwise an excellent product. I have not yet decided whether to return it.

A nice product with an abundance of attachments and a great traveling bag. The vacuum is a nice feature, but does add some bulk to the product.
Great for clean ups between hair cuts. Good solid construction, but changing attachments are challenging until you get used to them. Overall, a very good value.

I really was quite satisfied with this trimmer kit. The vacuum feature is awesome, and since I also make a mess while trimming my beard, my wife really loves it too! It makes trimming a breeze and I don’t spend a whole bunch of time like I did with my previous trimmer. One thing I would change is having the heads easier to put on and take off. But if that’s my only complaint, I’d say that’s pretty good. I’m also really digging the nose trimmer. It tickles but it gets those pesky hairs that catch boogers and people stare at. All in all, great product and I’d purchase again.

The packaging was professional and has a nice storage case. Adapter to add nise trimmer was difficult. Area that catches clippings did not slide out easily and difficult to put back on. Trimmer was easy to use and nice vacuum

Bought the unit for the the vaccum aspect so facial hair from beard is not spread over sink area. This worked better than I expected. Strong vaccum attached to strong trimmer. It would be nice if a HOLDER for the unit was INCLUDED in the kit.
THAT would have been a 5 STAR purchase.

I had a Wahl vacuum trimmer from 2012 that I loved! It lasted me about 8 or 9 years until a button wore out. This does not live up to the old standards.

The battery life is good, the vacuum chamber feels somewhat flimsy but does it's job well enough and is fairly easy to empty. The biggest problem with this trimmer is that it "grabs" hair when using it and this can be quite painful!

It grabs hair very frequently to the point of not being comfortable to use. It is a shame. I had a set of Wahl hair trimmers that lasted almost 20 years! The older vacuum trimmer I had was quality made as well. Too bad to see a reliable brand go down hill. This trimmer appears poorly made from cheap parts. Save your money and buy another brand.

I was really excited as I liked the vacuum feature which did suck in most of the hair but on my 2nd use, the head popped off, fell in the sink and one of the little plastic arms that keeps it in broke off. I'd be willing to give it another try if they sent a replacement. It's unfortunate that it broke so soon and the Amazon return just expired. There's $75 down the drain. Would have been cheaper to go to the barber.

Preparing to test the trimmer, I had to assemble the comb to the blade assembly. With the uniquely designed contours, there appears to be only one way to fit the head on the body, but it never felt right and came off far more easily than the attachment process it went on. I wrestled with the pieces for several hours. I studied the line drawings in the instructions. It appears that a small plastic tab broke off the blade head system. Eventually, the lid on the plastic bin that collects the whiskers also fell off. Since it appeared this procedure would be required every time I dumped the trimmings, I didn't have to know how well it trimmed to know I didn't want to bother with the delicate plastic parts in my big hands. I may have started with a cracked plastic piece, but it would have eventually come apart just in handling. I emailed Wahl for help and called, only to get stuck on HOLD. Wahl allows 60 days to make up your mind. I only needed two days. Amazon issued a refund , and Kohl's shipped it back for free. That was the best part of the transaction. .

I tried this trimmer out as a blind purchase, not having much to compare it to other than a 20 year old trimmer I have. I was very happy with the ease of use and performance of this trimmer. It did a great job of handling a very scraggly goatee, and some unruly chest hair. Overall I give it a 5star rating. It cleans up quickly and easily, vacuum feature captures most of the clippings as long as the hair is not too long. Would recommend it, worth the money.

According to the pictures supplied with the listing of this unit there are supposed to be a specific range of various sized guides that are included as well as a "10 position adjustable guide" and when I received my unit although the packaging was sealed and intact the 10 position adjustable guide and several of the smaller/shorter guides are missing. Very frustrating, to say the least, as these are the guides that I require !!!

Pros: It cuts fairly well. Battery has been adequate.

Cons: It does NOT vacuum up hair very well. I have a Remington that was bought ~15 years ago. Vacuums so much better. Only went to replace because it does not cut that well.
As others have mentioned, it can break easily (see pic). Have had it a number of months and it finally slipped out of my fingers. Remington has been dropped many times and still works.

I’m giving this a 5 for the power and strength of action, as well as the amazing vacuum. The drawback is figuring out which ‘heads’ to put on the trimmer for your own various lengths. The individual ‘heads’ or ‘combs’ work beat. The ‘adjustable’ one is not user friendly.
But again, you won’t find a better vacuum system or more powerful trimmer.

This is a great product, the first vacuum trimmer I've used that actually has a working vacuum! When it comes to trimmers, Wahl knows their stuff. Trims clean, and vacuums up nearly all trimmings. Easy to clean receptacle for trimmed hair. Charge life is phenomenal! Trim gate is a little tricky to use until you get the hang of it. Once you know, it's easy. I'd recommend this product to anyone.

I really enjoy using the vacuum trimmer kit. It trims well with no snags and has a large variety of attachments and travel case to fit all of my needs. The vacuum feature collects 90-95% of hair clippings. This is very appealing in not having a huge mess to clean up afterwards. The battery holds a good charge to provide more then adequate time. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone looking for a well made trimmer with great performance.

I was expecting a clean and quick cut with a Wahl brand razor, but I was blown away by the vacuum! When I first saw that it included a hair vacuum, I thought it was a gimmick that might vacuum up 50% of the hair. In reality it sucks up roughly 90-95% of the hair and I don't need to shave over a trash can anymore!

Works fine, but I find that it has a hard time with think hair. I keep my hair really short, but when trying to trim my own hair with this it tends to snag a lot. For the price it's okay. Might be worth spending a little more money for something of higher quality.

The Wahl Vacuum Trimmer is very easy to grip. Its not too heavy to hold . I love how you can trim or shave with no mess . It holds a nice amount of hair . Cuts and trims fast and nicely without overheating . Very easy to clean and comes with a nice storage case to hold everything in.

Cheaply made - stopped functioning correctly - difficult to install different attachments.
After 3 months it has stopped working correctly - will turn off after fully charged - then need to plug it back in for a few seconds to get it to turn back on.
Attachments are cheaply made and not user friendly making it difficult to attach them.

I owned a Wahl stainless steel trimmer for a few years. The only problem is cleaning up the hair so I decided to give this one a try.

Build: plastic. Looks like steel but it’s actually plastic and feels cheap

Trim Functionality: similar to other Wahls. However, The T blade width and the guards are smaller. Also, it’s noisier because sound of the fan is added to the regular trimmer noise.

Vacuum: It does collect SOME hair but it’s pretty useless because you still have to clean everywhere. Hair all over the sink and on my upper body (shoulder, chest) just like the normal trimmer.

Verdict: what’s the point of this “vacuum” trimmer if I still have to do all the clean up? Nothing

I bought this to replace a Wahl trimmer I had for 25+_ years, the motor gave out. This works as they said, just have to get use to it, it is a slight bit larger. I like the vacuum feature, keeps the sink cleaner. Lets see it this one will last 20 years.

I purchased to replace the same trimmer, though an older model. It pulled at the hairs in my beard and left an uneven cutting pattern. Awful performance and shameful at this price point. Last model was great, this is a waste of money and time. I recommend finding an alternative; I'm returning mine and planning to do the same.

I got this to replace a Phillips, which lasted about 15 yrs and finally died; From reviews, the Phillips' aren't what they used to be. Overall, it seemed OK; although it was a bit of a struggle to change from the trimmer head to the nosehair trimmer and vice versa; which is probably why the little plastic part on the head broke off and now the trimmer blade sits crooked on the body. The suction was reasonable, but still left some hair in the sink which had to be cleaned out. I plan on getting a different brand at this point.

TERRIBLE dont buy! Broke the first day. Plastic blade attachment is cheap and brittle. Even knowing after reading reviews, I was ultra careful and yup, changing attachment broke the unit.

I then bought a WHAL platinum pro plug in. Solid kit, works like the barbers unit. Comes with scissors and oil and tones of attachments. Cuts, trims and is a solid build. Even turning it on gives it that solid clunk sound just like the barbers. And it only cost me 29 US dollars on sale. I'll deal with the hair falling onto the towel over my sink bowl. The air sucking catcher on the cheap broke unit never caught all hair anyhow.
