Kind monitor for light usage.
Reasonable price for a ok quality monitor. It works well with videos and web surfing. If you are a gamer, it won’t be enough as it has only 60 hz. Overall, I am fine with this.

Exercise caution when using for office work, particularly text editing
I purchased two of these monitors to replace two older Dell monitors, primarily used for software development (so a lot of coding and text editing in general). They were priced attractively with all of the features that I needed.
The Good: A good price for a 27" monitor, DisplayPort and HDMI connections with built-in speakers that sound fine for what I expected and needed. I didn't notice any significant display issues with video or graphics, and performance was fine.
The Bad: They refused to go into a sleep state when using a DisplayPort connection, no matter what the settings were (both on the monitor changing the version of DisplayPort used, and with the video adapter itself). This was a nuisance, but not the central reason why I ended up returning them.
The Ugly: The real reason I returned both of them was the absolutely terrible display of text, particularly dark text on a light background. No change to the monitor settings, adjusting ClearType settings (or disabling ClearType entirely) would completely mitigate the issue. It was the same regardless if DisplayPort or HDMI was used, and prolonged text editing or reading was enough to produce eye strain and headaches over the short time I used them.
Bottom line, if you're only going to use these for streaming video, etc. then they're not bad and you'll probably be okay with them. On the other hand, if you're thinking of using them for office work, think again. Your eyes will thank you.

Strange power-up issue produces sub-par display quality.
I bought two of these monitors, and they both have the same strange problem. Whenever they are powered on, or come on after going to sleep, they are in some bizarre mode where display quality ( particularly for text) is mediocre. Text (whether it is black on white or white on black) has the rainbow effect. It almost looks like the monitor is not synched properly, or some other signal conditioning is not getting applied. I am running Ubuntu 16.04 using DisplayPort, (with two different brands of cables) and have not tried any other connections. To correct the problem, I go to the menu and switch the ViewMode to a different setting (which fixes the problem), and then back to the ViewMode I want. Apparently this "wakes up" some aspect of the monitor's firmware, and the signal is properly displayed.
Once operating properly, the monitors perform as expected for the price.

Solid for 1080P gaming
I use two of these in a 3-monitor setup for 1080P gaming (5760 x 1080).
Overall, I like these monitors. I appreciate being able to choose either DisplayPort and HDMI for the connection -- and in fact I use DP for one and HDMI for the other (because my videocard doesn't support three HDMI connections).
The picture is fine for 1080P gaming, maybe a little dark for my taste but that probably won't bother most people.
One of the monitors does have an occasional glitch, where the screen will "tear", but turning it off and back on solves that problem quickly.
I'd recommend this monitor if you're looking to do some 1080P gaming.

Good addition to my docked laptop setup
After about 2 months of use my overall impression of this monitor is good. I use it with a 14 inch laptop connected to a docking station. Images are good and I like having enough screen real estate to have two separate windows open side by side. I don't think the speakers are bad, about like an average PC. I think those that have complained about low volume haven't discovered the control on the bottom right edge, adjusting this helps a lot. I have had a problem of no sound through the speakers and have to restart my PC to get it back. I'm connected using a Displayport cable but a pop up window shows connected by HDMI, no idea why. My only major dissatisfaction is with Viewsonic Corp (my Amazon purchase was from them). Their customer service for sales is poor, they should probably stick to manufacturing, retail sales and service isn't their game. My shipment was delayed days past the original ship date and their CSR sent me a meaningless, poorly thought out response to my email on the subject. Also, when I tried to register the monitor on the Viewsonic website the dreaded 404 Error appeared, tech companies should have good IT departments. Buy the monitor but the sales experience has got to be better elsewhere.

Complete trash, Defective monitor, died within 1 week
What a joke, first I notice the crappy picture quality and then I get hit with the monitor actually dying within 1 week of owning it. It wont turn on anymore and I've tried everything. Just gonna get an Asus 27inch 144hz and pay more for a decent monitor. This thing is complete trash

short stand looks good otherwise
My faithful old Samsung died like non LED montors do, the backlight would not stay on. So I bought this for a replacement It had a teen stand, quite short but otherwise a great value. It is one of the few monitors with a display port, my RX570 has 5 outputs, 1 DVI 1 HDMI and 3 display ports which surprised me given that Display ports are less common.
I am happy but of course it is just the first day literally less than an hour after hookup.

Excellent monitor with one caveat
I bought this to accompany another ViewSonic 27" monitor I have in a dual monitor set-up. This particular model's stand is not adjustable, so it sits about 2" off the desk whereas the other one sits 6" off the desk. It'd be nice if the things would move up and down like Samsung's monitor stands.
Other than that, it's an exceptional monitor. If you're using only one, it'd be perfect.

Spend $50 more for something better
It’s way worth spending an extra $50 for the 24” sceptre 165hz frameless. I bought both and spent less for this cause it’s my second monitor that I don’t use for anything that needs great quality. The screen is very dim, even at full brightness. Other than that it does what it’s supposed to. If your buying this as a main monitor for either gaming, picture or video editing, etc., I’d spend $50-100 more on something built better like the sceptre I mentioned.

Don't waste your money ViewSonic is not the quality company they use to be.
Don't waste your money I thought I was buying a quality with ViewSonic but I should have gone with the other reviews. Sometimes it turns on after you turn it off other wise you have to unplug power wait plug it back in. I was looking for a monitor with all 3 inputs not many. I might has well bought no name china garbage. I called for support with Amazon they brought ViewSonic on the phone total waste of time. They want me to pay to ship it back.

does the job but text quality not great
the monitor is inexpensive, well built and works. but the quality of text isn't great. I haven't been able to find any "fix it" adjustments setting in the menus. it is ok for video quality, but causes eye strain for text. expected more since I have had other viewsonic products

It's Viewsonic good quality. Awesome size and built in speakers.
I purchased this monitor as dual monitor set-up. Audio will play only in one of the monitor and not both if sound is coming from HDMI only. Speakers are ok, don't expect too much punch, but workable for office purposes. Not using it for gaming but don't see why I cannot work. I love ViewSonic monitors, this is my 3rd one...VESA mount is very useful for my set-up.

So Far So Good
Replaced my old 10 year old Viewsonic with this model. Nice Picture great price, Amazon delivered one Day early no complaints there. Only trouble it lists an Audio Cord included. NOPE not there. Stand is heavy but still seems a bit Wobbly. I would buy again.
FYI I purchased an Audio cord and the speakers are not worth it. Very poor volume even at max. Better off with out the speakers, reduced rating for this.

Great for work applications
Great Monitor for work! Sound quality is what you would expect from the price point, not great, just ok. Added a sound bar to improve the sound quality. Great connecting ports! Great quality video for work. Haven’t used this monitor for gaming, but the video streaming is just ok, so I would have to give it a 3 out of 5. If you are looking for a quality work monitor, this is it.
