Like all folks who make the transition from Windows based mobile phone to an android, I quickly realized how much apps you can download in an hour. Hence, I needed a micro SD that had more memory from the 4GB Card that came with the phone. After much review I was torn between Transcend and another popular brand. I decided to go with Transcend because it was few dollars cheaper,also had good reviews and is what I currently use for my camera.I was disappointed when I received it and tested it. Tester noted that it has 14.5GB memory storage instead of the advertised 16GB, the writing speed maxed at 7MB/s while the reading speed was 8MB/s.The product information says a speed of 10MB/s is guaranteed.I think that is misleading.It should read "our goal is to get you as close to a speed of 10MB/s as we can". I know that it is not the tester that is faulty because it accurately gave the exact information of the 4GB micro SD card I was replacing and the readings for the Transcend 16GB class 10 were very consistent with repeated testing. Either someone or their robot at Transcend mis-labelled a class 6 or 8 card as a class 10 card or their tools for testing need some calibration. I will keep it though since the registered 14GB of storage capacity will be more than enough for me. Should I need extra storage memory, I will definitely try the other brand.

My photos are all messed up, as there was a tech issue, some of them disappear, some just turn into a question mark and some are completely disoriented, full of squares and whatnot...item arrived 2 weeks later as well...not happy.

Whenever I first bought a tablet, I knew that Zi was going to a class 10 microSD. I looked no further than here at Amazon. This card is perfect for a tablet or phone. It streams 1080p movies with ease and can store all of my large sized apps. The adapter for it is also a nice addition, as you won't need to go out and buy an adapter to accompany it. I recommend this product to anyone needing a microSDHC for video streaming/applications purposes as anything else can be accomplished with a lower class card.

If you have a digital camera, mp3 player, smartphone, tablet, or other digital device with a microsd slot, this Class 10 card is outstanding. I keep one in each of my cameras, and one in my android phone.File transfers are speedy, especially compared to some of my old Class 2 and Class 4 cards.Transcend is my favorite manufacturer of SD cards, because their products are so reliable and the price is right.You can't go wrong.

I bought two of these for an Android phone (Captivate) and tablet (Nook Color). The Nook Color is running Android (CM9) on the card itself, while the Captivate is using the card for extra storage. I just hooked this newly bought micro-SD card into the bay of my laptop, a Sony VAIO S, mfd.2012.I copied the contents of my old cell-phone SD card (already in the laptop's hard drive) into this new Transcend 16 GB Class 10 card. The contents are very varied, from hundreds of tiny android files, to tenths of medium sized (~10 MB) MP3 files, to a dozen not-so-large (~60 MB) videos.The copy was done in Windows XP, with a regular drag'n'drop.Files copied: 1233Total size: 3.33 GB (3 577 251 119 bytes)Time taken: 6'42" (or 402")------------------------------Average speed: 8.9 MB/secThat's my practical result. According to this, some would deny its "class 10" status. But, how can you be sure the bottleneck isn't elsewhere, like the SD bay speed capacity, antivirus checking on the traveling files or whatever other factor? I don't know for sure, so I'll leave the speculations for the reader.A last note: I particularly like the accompanying Transcend's micro-SD adapter (I have an identical one from a previous Transcend and keep it inside the laptop's bay all the time, for practicality). I've seen many bad quality adapters out there, so this is worth a mention.

regardless of how you plan to use your chip, go with class 10...the speed difference is signifcant. I have since purchased several more as more devises use these...of course, with the prices coming down, the others I bought were actually 32 gig...good product

(2) Lifetime warranty, not 1-year or 5-year etc. (3) Sold and shipped by a reputable seller, Amazon.com (4) At the time I bought, the price beats all other prices which I compared to for the exact same item including brand. (5) I have no problems in using this in cameras and voice recorders, etc

No problems, works as expected. INexpensive for a class 10. I know some class 10 cards are better than others is certain ways, but I don't run benchmarks. I just use my phone and when it comes to real world performance I have no problems with this card.
