This controller is very nice and probably the best. It works with big and small hands it feals non greasy(unless you have greasy hands) it has a nice vibration if you notice on some of the other controllers the vibration is too big. Now I own a PlayStation 2 and i have played with a lot of other controllers but they dont last the buttons get pushed in the analog is too sensitive etc. Although with this controler ive had it for 2 years and it has yet to break on me and people this is a sensitive object dont slam it it will work well as long as you take care of it. Also the button reaction on this is the quickest I have seen with those big bulky ones the reaction is very bad and sometimes the analogs dont work properly. You may have also seen this controller in black and teal there all the same price and all have the same durability the only differene is the color. I rate this item 5 stars because its the best controller out there.

Unless you absolutely must have wireless, don't buy anything but a Sony Dualshock. I've had 3 of these (various colors) and broken every single one of them, to the point now where the only controler left is composed of parts from the previous 3. It still works flawlessly, and unless you're smashing them against concrete or iron, they can take anything you 'toss' em against.

This controller is not only pleasing to the eye, it's very easy to handle and I just feel like it's a great controller for the PS2. Personally, this is my first Sony controller since I bought a Gamestop used PS2 that came with a used Gamestop controller, so of course that one was not as nice as a Sony controller. But overall I think Sony PS2(C) official controllers are the best ones to use for Sony's PS2(C) system, of course. And if you like transparent controllers, this one is also nice.

There is so much you can say to the origniaity of a video game controller based on style, function, price and convience. For Sony, their standard controller for the Playstation 2 is one of the most convient controllers I've ever seen. It is even more stylish now that there is a crisp green colored edition, and it works very well at its par. While there are definitely controllers that are a bit more inexpensive that can try to work as well as Sony had maintained for the PS2, none of them can actually withstand the lasting feel of the Playstation 2 controller by Sony. Playstation's Dual Shock is such a comfortable and popular layout that PC gamepad companies like Saitek and Logitech try to copy it, and they usually don't do a very good job. Their d-pads are always too awkward, or their construction is too lightweight. The Dual Shock is solid and is built to last. I'm an emulation gamer, and thanks to SmartJoy's USB adapter I can use a real PS1/PS2 gamepad with ZSNES and Bleem.My only gripes with the pad: A) The Start/Select buttons really should've been moved up after the addition of analog sticks. I'm always finding myself fumbling over the sticks trying to get to Start and Select. B) While the d-pad is very sturdy, it kills my thumbs after a couple hours of play. Kinda makes me wish they had taken a Turbo Touch 360 approach and used a touch-sensitive panel instead of hard plastic arrows.

Anybody out there with a controller hog who perhaps gets your controller sticky or messy or does something to it you don't even want to know about? Different colored controllers are the key to solving this problem. Mr. Messy has his and you have yours! It works out awesome! I love my teal green controller and he loves his blue one! You also get a year warranty, which comes in the box with this controller, in between the yellow cardboard so if there is a problem with in a year they will fix your controller. Anyway it is the same size as the ones that come with your original PS2. The buttons are the same, they move the same, and feel the same. The only difference is the color, but still it's worth it to get a nice new non-sticky controller and to get your self some distance from that controller hog. I love this one, they also make a teal colored one, and I have seen a sponge bob controller out there as well but if its not made by Sony its probably not that reliable. Stick with the best, get a Sony controller and get in the game!

Come on, its a PS2 controller; what else are you going to use? The Generic imitation just don't compare. If you need an extra controller for your PS2 make sure it made by Sony.

Take caution when buying this controller. Mine (yes, its green) has been replaced by either me or my parents 3 times, and needs to be replaced again. The X button on every one of the 4 green controllers I have had, has always been bad, and it stops working well after a few days. Then, my controllers stop working permanently after about a year. My brothers still works fine after 3 years (he got the blue one). Please take caution on the controller you get.

This is the original Playstation controller, and it is the best. It feels great in your hands, not too heavy, best button response, and overall just the best controller you can buy. If you have been thinking about buying a controller with a different feeling I strongly reccommend do not buy the big Mad Catz controller. It does not feel good in your hands, its too big and heavy, and the button response sucks. Just stick with the Sony controler, it is the best of the best.

well, it's an avarage dualshock controller that I'm gonna buy because My amazon gift card won't work to buy the yellow Japenesse one. If you have a PS2 this is the same conrolller that comes with it, but in green.

I have 2 black controllers for PS2 and I can never tell which one was in the 1st controller port and the 2nd port. It was a struggle following all those mixed wires cause most of the time all my wires for all my systems gang up into 1 big headache ball. It was pissing me off. Now I got this green controller and a video game center to stop pissing me off.

i know this controller is $5 less than the typical black controller but it is not worse than it. i am a typical n64 player and i am not used to the power sensitive buttons on the ps2. a lot of times i causally push down on the buttons of the typical black controller and it is unresponsive. i then tried playing on the blue controller and it didnt miss a beat. although the difference is not great, it does make a difference. i am not saying that the blue controller is better because it might have just been these 2 controllers but if u do not have a lot of money to just spend freely i would recommend getting this controller because it can perform just as well as the black one.

All PlayStation 2 Dualshock 2 controllers are very good regardless of color. I have had very good results in gameplay using this first-party controller. I have only had one bad experience. While playing the game: Gitaroo Man I am required to hold the analog stick in certain angles for a period of time however holding the stick down in one spot for more than a couple seconds causes a problem. It is difficult to keep your thumb on the stick because the material of the stick causes my thumb to slip which can be very annoying and cause frustrating error in the gameplay. Other than that small problem the Dualshock 2 is awesome!
