I am so glad I got this!! 2 weeks ago I purchased a cheapo ps2 controller thinking, "Sure this will work okay..." Wrongo!!! The controller was unresponsive and it was giving my 8 year old some great jollies beating mom at fighting games :( I was hesitant to buy this one, but it is the perfect match for us. There is no difference in gameplay between this controller and the original that came with our ps2 when I bought it a few years ago. Definitely happy :D

My kids wear this things out like there's no tomorrow so I didn't want to spend a bundle on a bunch of new controllers - these do the trick and are very well priced. We use these a lot and we've gotten our money out of them and they're still working great!

I go through a lot of controllers but this one has been with me for a while now. It has really proved itself. It has withstood many bumps and bangs (getting dropped on hardwood floors a few times usually does them in) and still works perfectly. I tend to wear out the sticks on racing games and the buttons on action games but this one is still going strong. I would (and will eventually) buy this one again.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. I received it a little late but when it came it was cracked and the rumble pack in the left side of the controller had shifted. THis made it almost unusable and affected gameplay. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

This arrived earlier than expected and I like it a lot. Nothing broken, there was also nothing wrong with packaging as well, exactly brand new. Works very well with a Dual Controller to USB Converter for playing emulator games on the PC.At the time I bought this, it also was much cheaper than the normal and regular looking black PS2 Dual Controller so this was a very good buy for its different color.

I bought a PS2 (slim) back in 2008. I got the silver because I'd owned a black one before it broke and was tired of seeing the same color all the time... Anyway, I have used the controller for around 3 years now and it still works like it's out of the box. I've beat almost every PS2 game I own with this controller. They have a lot of value. The silver paint didn't even fall off after time except just a little around the screw holes. A couple of times, the shoulder buttons (L1, L2, R1, R2) and analog sticks would stick a little after a couple of months. All you have to do is unscrew it, clean it out and it behaves good as new again. And the controller design isn't impossible to figure out to put back together. Excellent product. Very little hardware this mass produced is ever this quality. Very happy with this controller and my PS2.

Perfect, but yet more colorful replacement to the original PS2 controller that came with the set. Not much to say about it other than it is just like the original, because it is. Nice color, responsive controls, has that solid Sony feel to it. Plugged right into the unit, perfect fit.

I've been buying game controllers and accessories for some time now, and without even having to open the package (which arrived within estimated delivery time), I could tell this product was clean and in working order. This is a genuine Sony product. It works perfectly, stands up to being dropped, and is comfortable to hold, even for longer periods of time. There isn't much else to say-- simply put, I have tried many third party controllers, and none have been as durable or comfortable as the actual Sony product.

Bought Persona 4 and didn't have a controller for my ps2 so i bought this and it works pefectly with no flaws. Also to mention it came in pretty quickly a lot quicker than I anticipated. :) 5 out 5!

this product was just what my grandaughter wanted. she loved the color and was very, very please with the product. she has another one put always perfers this one .she claims this as her own private controller. nobody else uses her controller.

I bought this PS2 controller for my son. We have a PS3 but the PS2 is still enjoyed, unfortunately the controllers from the PS2 were all broken. This new PS2 controller arrived quickly, was brand new, the price was awesome and it works flawlessly!

fair price for a decent product, this controller worked right out of the box and continued to work through hours of playexperienced no common issues of older controllers (sticky buttons, unresponsive joysticks)great buy.

The description was pretty accurate. Although used, the controller was in good, but not great condition. The seller was pretty honest. It felt like any well cared for controller that had seen a lot of action.I disassembled it and cleaned all the dust out (don't attempt this without reading how) and now it works and feels like brand new, so I'm pretty satisfied. =)

This is the ceramic white PS2 control pad which matches the cermic white SingStar bundle. Sony's PS2 pad has identical contours & button layouts as the PS1 analog pad. The material & workmanship is solid. I've had my PS2 pad for over 4 years and it still functions like new. The buttons and d-pad feel responsive. The only thing I kind of dislike are the analog sticks; they do feel a bit slippery to me. But otherwise this is a terrific control-pad for your PS2.

I tend to use this controller more than the one that came with the ps2.Personally, there is no difference in performance between the two but I just prefer the blue color of this controller.

Yeah, I bought emerald controllers, so what? I can be a rough and tumble guy and still come home to play some Rampart with sorta girly looking controllers. They are kinda girly looking, but they work just fine.

ok well it took two and a half weeks to get here, this controler was worth waithing years for. seriosly i have never used a controler this good in my whole game life, the vibration is cool, and the texture of the controler is awsome. The buttons are so nice and very smooth to press. it now only takes me two days to finish a game(DAH 1 and 2 for any fans out there) instead of a week. the only thing that this does not do is glow, that would be cool! if your on the fence go to the otherside and grab the shopping cart because its worth picking up.

This is a great controller. Maybe I'm too picky, but Sony PS2 controllers are the only ones that meet my standards. The rumble motors are very responsive- in football games, if you get hit hard, this thing gets a little hard to hold on to! The buttons, analog sticks, D-pad, and triggers are very responsive. I love this thing! The only reason I knocked off a star was that when I recieved the controller in the mail, I immediately opened it and began using it. But, after 5-6 hours of use, the R3 and L3 buttons became unresponsive, which in some ways is not a big deal; but a lot of games utilize them. You just don't get the extras that the L3 and R3 buttons control. This may have just been a dud, so don't let this make you think twice about purchasing this product. Enjoy!

The official PS2 controller is what you need in case the one that came with the syetem breaks , its a good idea to have 2 controllers for one person just in case !

this controller is very sturdy and durable. the signal is also good up to 25 feet away which should be plenty for playing a game. i've used it for 4+ years and i can't tell a difference. the springs on all the buttons still function just as good as the first day

I've had numerous PS2 controllers and most often the controller just goes haywire. The transparent blue & gray ones are far worse. But both of my satin ones (one that came with system and this one by itself) started glitching in less than 6 months of usage.Basically the screen just starts clicking like the buttons are stuck or something. You can't select on anything. If you need a controller usually wireless ones work better, but they too can wear out quickly. Sony makes a nice PS2, but they sure make unreliable controllers for the PS2. You are lucky to get a year's use of them without something going wrong. Especially when you can't zoom in anymore on Battlefront for example or the highlighter keeps scrolling down in NCAA football.Unfortunately I need to replace these controllers every year because of something with the mechanics. Also, they are not shock proof.Steven

My silver controller came with a ps2 silver set that was a gift to me, the controller worked fine for a week or so,then I put in a game(Grand Theft Auto 3) and for a few minutes it was ok, but then the horn in the car would not go off, so reading the info in the game ,I found out that the left controller stick operates the horn in the in car mode, so I took a old controller from my original ps, and used it, and all was fine.I had gotten a warranty on the whole thing when I got it, so the store said that I must return the whole unit and replace it with another one.Even when I explained that it was just the controller, they said to bring back the whole thing, so I did,and now I have a brand new ps2 and it has a nicer controller also,and it works fine.Seems there were some silver controllers that got past quality control at Sony.

Works very good. Used it in extreme controller demanding games and the response is awesome. Have no hassles.Yet, sometimes if you dont press the button to the very bottom it does not register and creates problems but thats very rare.

I always stick with the Sony controllers. The knock offs just don't feel right to me or the buttons start going after a month or two. My original controller is still going strong and my 2nd one that I replaced with the silver made it 4-5 years. The silver color is my favorite of those I have seen out there (emerald green, sapphire blue, ruby red, and black). It stands out and it functions like I have come to expect from these controllers. Good to have 2 colors because it makes it easier to differentiate.

This controller is a great product for the PS2. It's silver color helps to differentiate it from the typical pitch black one. The product feels great -not too light or too heavy-; and it feels well constructed. Overall, a good buy for your money.

I bought one of these silver ps2 controllers, for the first 90 days it was fine then the left joy stick started to mess up. I love playing Tiger Woods golf and the left joy stick started to make my ball go down and right, on my dirt to Daytona it would work fine for about half the race then all of a sudden the left joy stick would make my car swerve to the right and slam me into the wall. Unfortunaly the waranty only lasts 60 days, ( I feel I got screwed).I WILL NEVER BUY ANY CONTROLLER BUT THE ORIGIONAL BLACK CONTROLLER.

There is nothing fancy about the this controller but the color. But it is a good solid basic controller for those who dont want to spend the money to get a wireless or any of the other fancy controllers that are out there.

My son requested this controller for Christmas. He is now able to enjoy his Play Station 2 games again which, by the sound of it, he rates it a solid 5! The controller was everything promised. It was well wrapped and arrived very quickly. I have nothing but praise for this seller. Well done!

I was never a fan of the Playstation 2 controller. I don't like the fact that the analog stick replaced the directional pad. Using an analog stick is annoying because you don't feel comfortable with it. Ask any older gamer- they will tell you that you felt more in control of your movements with a directional pad. With an analog stick, you slide all over the place. In addition to that disaster, the PS2 controller also suffers from "too many buttons". We shouldn't have to have a degree in rocket science to figure out how to successfully figure out and complete a game. The Playstation One had the best controller ever. It was comfortable, you were always in complete control, and it just looked better.

I had to send two controllers back because the L2 button would stick when playing. Maybe it was my bad luck. Hopefully the cordless controller I ordered will work fine. I'm glad I ordered though Amazon beecause they were great as far as dealing with the returns.

This controller is very nice and probably the best. It works with big and small hands it feals non greasy(unless you have greasy hands) it has a nice vibration if you notice on some of the other controllers the vibration is too big. Now I own a PlayStation 2 and i have played with a lot of other controllers but they dont last the buttons get pushed in the analog is too sensitive etc. Although with this controler ive had it for 2 years and it has yet to break on me and people this is a sensitive object dont slam it it will work well as long as you take care of it. Also the button reaction on this is the quickest I have seen with those big bulky ones the reaction is very bad and sometimes the analogs dont work properly. You may have also seen this controller in black and teal there all the same price and all have the same durability the only differene is the color. I rate this item 5 stars because its the best controller out there.

Unless you absolutely must have wireless, don't buy anything but a Sony Dualshock. I've had 3 of these (various colors) and broken every single one of them, to the point now where the only controler left is composed of parts from the previous 3. It still works flawlessly, and unless you're smashing them against concrete or iron, they can take anything you 'toss' em against.

This controller is not only pleasing to the eye, it's very easy to handle and I just feel like it's a great controller for the PS2. Personally, this is my first Sony controller since I bought a Gamestop used PS2 that came with a used Gamestop controller, so of course that one was not as nice as a Sony controller. But overall I think Sony PS2(C) official controllers are the best ones to use for Sony's PS2(C) system, of course. And if you like transparent controllers, this one is also nice.

There is so much you can say to the origniaity of a video game controller based on style, function, price and convience. For Sony, their standard controller for the Playstation 2 is one of the most convient controllers I've ever seen. It is even more stylish now that there is a crisp green colored edition, and it works very well at its par. While there are definitely controllers that are a bit more inexpensive that can try to work as well as Sony had maintained for the PS2, none of them can actually withstand the lasting feel of the Playstation 2 controller by Sony.
