J'ai reçu un produit reconditionné. Alors que ce n'était stipulé nulle part. C'est décevant.
De plus le disque dur est très lent à copier les informations. 4 GO en 10 minutes.
Faut pas être pressé.

This military grade external hard drive is a fantastic addition to the Silicon Power range. This 1tb external drive comes with carious accolades to it's name, such as:
IP68 shockproof
Military grade shock proofing
Dust proof
Protected with a strong aluminium shielding
Various FCC regulation and product standard markings stamped on the bottom
The drive showed up first time in windows and displayed good read/write performance for a USB 3.0 drive (certainly good for the money, this isn't an SSD though so don't get your hopes up that high) and really looks the part. It features a rubberised band covering the seal between the aluminium hull and plastic end to stop water getting in and add to the drop protection. I dropped this drive a few times on a patio to make sure it lived up to it's name and it worked just as well afterwards as it did before. The USB port is protected by a peel away cap that stops water or dust entering. The supplied cable is a little wobbly in the port, but it doesn't seem to affect use.
A great drive for taking on outdoor adventures where storage is required.
This HDD was supplied at a discounted rate in order to provide an honest and fair review.

Die erste Lieferung ging nach 7 Tagen zurück, nachdem ich tagelang versuchte herauszubekommen, warum die Datenübertragung bei unter 1MB/sec liegt. Letztlich war es doch die diese Festplatte, da die Ersatzlieferung dann so schnell wie erwartet war. Dafür hat die neue Platte einen anders Problem: Egal an welchem Rechner, egal unter welchem Betriebssystem - die Platte meldet sich sporadisch vom System ab. Mitunter reicht es dann, den USB-Stecker ab - und wieder anzustecken, manchmal ist auch ein Neustart nötig, damit die Platte wieder erkannt wird. So ist natürlich kein sinnvolles Arbeiten möglich und einige - zum Glück bei mir keine wichtigen - Daten gehen auch mal verloren, wenn der Fehler gerade während eines Schjreibvorgangs eintritt.

Ho acquistato questo dispositivo invogliato, oltre che dalle recensioni degli altri utenti, anche dalle caratteristiche intrinseche, che lo classificano un hard disk 'sui generis'. Indiscussa la qualità costruttiva e l'affidabilità (...almeno a giudicare dall'aspetto esteriore, consistenza e peso: per quanto riguarda la resistenza alle cadute e la capacità di farlo operare in modalità subacquea. Lo posseggo soltanto da 5 giorni e non ho avuto il tempo di effettuare alcuna prova, che comunque ritengo superflua...). Buona la soluzione di utilizzare la fascia in gomma che contorna il case per trasportare il cavo USB 3.0 insieme al disco rigido: spero duri nel tempo. Ho acquistato, insieme a questo HD da 2 tbytes, anche quello gemello da 1 tb che funziona altrettanto benissimo. Unico appunto: il modello da 2 tbytes, forse un pò più 'affamato' di corrente a differenza di quello di taglio minore, a volte presenta qualche 'titubanza' durante l'utilizzo e 'perde la connessione' per poi risultare nuovamente collegato dopo qualche secondo. Il fenomeno sembra attenuarsi con l'utilizzo di un altro tipo di cavo USB 3.0 in mio possesso di fattura diversa da quello avuto in dotazione. Potrebbe però anche trattarsi della porta USB 3.0 del mio PC che ha qualche anno di servizio sulle spalle: da verificare! Tutto sommato sono soddisfatto dell'acqusito...

Cumple con las especificaciones de velocidad máxima, en las pruebas que hice inicialmente. Sobre el terreno, con temperaturas elevadas y condiciones de polvo continuo, tuve transferencias mantenidas de 90mb/s que era el máximo que podía dar mi tarjeta de memoria en usb3

One thing you can't do with storage disks: send them back for replacement when the casing breaks, and you need your data back. The USB port on this bugger died after ±2months of use. Couldn't fit anything in. I needed the data (because that's what I bought it for: to store data on it), so I had to break it open and connect it to an external SATA ↔ USB adaptor. Needless to say: warranty hella void.
It turns out the drive itself is a Seagate Barracude ST5000LM000, 5400rpm. This explains why it's so bloody slow to seek to anything; unless you're infrequently copying massive files over, this thing is a pain in the hole to use. Especially as a time machine backup, which involves many small files and scattered reads, this thing is not a good fit.
If you find yourself in the same boat, having to break open the drive: there are screws under the plastic flap at the bottom; just tear / cut that off and unscrew the device. And beware the drive height: it's 12.5mm, not 9mm or 7mm, which means it won't fit in regular external disk casings. You'll need something like this:

Me pasó lo que a otros que el disco se desconectaba al tratar de copiar información... Leyendo al respecto parece que la demanda de corriente del disco es alta y quienes han usado un HUB con alimentación externa no han tenido problema, lástima, me interesaba bastante el producto por la durabilidad prometida...

A première vue cela semble solide et de bonne qualité.
Mais malheureusement, au bout d'un an et demi, c’est déjà en panne. Et pour un disque posé a coté de l'ordi et qui n'a donc pas voyagé.
A voir ce que le SAV donnera mais je suis encore a devoir restaurer/transférer des sauvegardes.

it's still working just as well over a year on. Its probably had at least a couple of drops off a table and has been in dusty environments, but the drive still seems fine.
