Ужасно
- + Мало греется, шустрый.
- - Умер менее чем через месяц использования в ноуте. Винт затрещал, и комп выдал экран смерти.
Крутится, но не читается.
Дома одни сигейты, уже 10 лет на...

- + довольно быстрый.
- - щелчки при работе, во время которых комп подвисает. в первый же день эксплуатации обнаружил дефект диска (сбойный сектор)
Ведь знал же, что seagate покупать нельзя. Когда они приобрели maxtor, похоже заразились их «качеством», я думал, что 2.5" диски у них хорошие - однако ошибся.

- + Низкое энергопотребление, мало греется. 7200 rpm. тихий.
Поставил себе в ноут. Когда копировал на него содержимое старого был приятно удивлен что он работал во внешнем USB боксе от одного USB порта, не потребовалось...

I've used this drive, the ST9320421AS 7200.3 320GB 2.5" drive both internally and in the Ultrabay of my T61p.Using Windows XP, everything is great, no matter how it's used.Using Windows 7 Pro (TechNet), clean install plus required Lenovo drivers, when attached to SATA-0 (Ultrabay Slim SATA port), this drive only works if it was visible to the system during boot.If the drive is plugged in later, whether it was ejected or not, it will light up solid and fail to be discovered.I had this drive replaced by Seagate for another of the same type, and I have the same problem.In the same carrier, I can successfully swap out an HTS722020k9SA00 (Hitachi 7200 200g) at any time without problems.In the same carrier, I can successfully swap out an ST9160823AS (Seagate 7200.2 160G) at any time without problems.I tested the drive in a USB case, and it works as expected for hot-plug.As such, I recommend not using this drive if you might be usint hot-plug SATA under Windows 7.Aside from the compatibility issues, the performance of the drive is good. Power consumption is not noticeable when allowed to spin-down when not in use. Spin-up takes about 1.5 seconds and can cause a bit of a hang while doing so, even if it's not your boot drive.

While I hadn't purchased this HDD separately, it did come bundled in an ASRock 330HT NetTop I had purchased just before Christmas.With no warning or errors, the HDD has suddenly crashed, and various attempts to repair the OS fail.I have since begun replacement RMA steps with the vendor.After some research I found this HDD also comes with many Macbooks, and if you Google you will find similar failings across the board.It seems for many users it will fail within the 1st month. Another batch fail in 3-4 months (as I had), and the rest seem to have little or no issues.Thankfully I had nothing more than an OS image as I used this to attach to networked storage.Buyer beware - backup frequently!I would suggest a Western Digital Scorpio Blue as a better alternative in the same price range.

I just purchased this drive as a replacement for the drive in my MacBook Pro. My laptop originally came with a 100GB drive 2 years ago, which I upgraded myself to a Seagate Momentus 200GB drive about 7 months ago. Now the 320GB drives are out and I upgraded again. The drive is quiet and has lots of room for whatever mobile computing you need to do. After the OS is installed there is about 267GB of free space--and that's plenty of capacity to fill up with work, music, videos, photos or whatever you need.Seagate has managed to keep the drain on the battery with the 320GB identical to the 200GB drive, and while the drive got quite hot during the transfer of data over to the new drive (intensive disk activity), the normal operating temperature seems the same as the 200GB.To get your data from your old drive to the new one, first download a free copy of Carbon Copy and install it on your old drive before you remove it. Buy a 2.5" enclosure with a Firewire 400 or 800 port and install your old drive in it. USB2 ported enclosures will work but they're much slower. Install the new drive in your laptop, plug the external drive in the FW800 port and boot up your computer from the external drive. Launch Carbon Copy and copy all your data over to the new drive. Reboot and you're all set.You don't need to be a computer geek to install a new drive in your MacBook or MacBook Pro by yourself--although it will void your warranty unless you take it to an authorized Mac reseller/repair place. My MacBook Pro is out of warranty so it wasn't a factor for me. Google "installing a hard drive in a MacBook" and you'll find several sites that give either video or still picture instructions. I was able to swap out my drive and put my laptop back together in about 15 minutes. You'll need a tiny Phillips screwdriver and a Torx #6 screwdriver to undo all the screws, and a gentle touch so you don't strip the threads or the screwdriver sockets, but it's actually quite easy. Take care putting the screws back in and don't force them.I have usually been buying all my bare drives through [...], but I've just discovered Amazon is quite a bit cheaper for exactly the same products--Amazon does it again! I'm learning over and over again to always compare prices to Amazon's, as Amazon always seems to be the better bargain. Add to that a terrific return policy and you have an unbeatable combination. Why shop anywhere else?

I replaced a hard drive in a laptop that was a Western Digital. While WD's are usually fairly good, I have NEVER had a Seagate drive fail on me, thus far. This one is impressive, and it was worth every penny I paid for it. I got it for a great price, and with a great warranty! I've only seen one Seagate actually fail, and that was on a friends laptop recently. That's only one that I've seen in the last 6 years that I've been a computer technician! This or any Seagate hard drive is the way to go! You won't be disappointed!

This is the ideal upgrade disk - 16MB buffers, 7,200 RPM, very good IO scores from the benchmarking community. In early 2009, this disk is right on the sweet spot of high performance and low cost.I think the guy complaining about an "OEM Drive" meant to say that this disk is not an external Firewire or USB disk in a cabinet. It is an internal drive, using standard SATA laptop connectors.I upgraded my Macbook Pro's 120 GB drive because it was more than 80% full and I wanted to add another 10GB VM and several thousand pictures. Although OSX allocates files smaller than 20 MB in contiguous chunks, making defrag unnecessary, as the disk fills up, contiguous allocation gets more difficult and writes get slower. Since most user apps do some writing (browsers write lots of temp files), the whole system feels slower.The result of the upgrade was to reduce the bootup time by 15 seconds out of 2.5 minutes, and double the launch speed of Firefox and similar apps (20s -> 10s).My upgrade procedure was to set up an empty 120GB partition on my USB external drive, turn off Time Machine, and use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy everything. I did not select CCC's block-copy cloning, because I wanted to defrag some very large files. Done this way, over USB, took 3 hrs to copy, then 40 minutes with a screwdriver (not rushing, as this was the first time I've opened a laptop), and a little over 1.5 hrs to copy back from the external drive to the new 320 GB disk.Afterwards, I set TM to ignore the transfer partition, and it automatically re-built my entire backup. I don't know why, but it stayed busy for several hours.

I purchased this drive at the end of June and after just 3 months of use, mine too turned into a "brick". The drive worked great for 3 months then just failed to boot and started clicking and beeping. No warnings of any kind. It just died. Seagate will replace it but where does that leave me? Anxiety ridden and waiting for another failure...

I've been using this drive for 6 months now in my PS3. After extensive searching and reading I came to the conclusion that this was the best 320 Gig drive for the job and my mind hasn't changed any since acquiring it. The PS3 comes with a 5400rpm drive but with this 7200rpm, I have not noticed any increase of heat, noise, or fan duration/speed. As far as game load speeds, I'm not sure if I have noticed a difference, but the XMB menu is more responsive and loads faster.I would do it all again.

I bought this drive to replace the built-in 160GB 5400.4 hard drive that ships with Eee 1000H. You get a decent performance increase loading programs, and transfering large files. When formatted, you get 298 GB. If you use the provided DVD with Eee PC, it would split the drive in two partitions: 160GB and 138GB. It installed very quickly, like in 15 mins.I am very happy with this drive cuz its a cheap upgrade that double the space in your tiny PC [most people don't believe that a laptop of this size have a 320 GB ;) ], and you get faster loading programs and files.Installation was a breeze, since it only took me five minutes to change the hard drive with a small screwdriver. I suggest that you buy an external 2.5" hard drive enclosure, so you can use the built-in hard drive as an external or back-up hard drive.I would give it five stars, but the downside of this drive is that since it is faster than the built in drive, it consumes more power. I don't have formally tested it, but I think that you get 30 min less of battery life. This would be a serious turn-off for people that bought a netbook for the long battery life.

Install on Dell D630. Found out that it's noisy with clicking noise and a bit of vibration. After two hours of use, I returned this hard drive. A better alternative is Hitachi Travelstar 2.5" 320gb 7200 rpm.

Had this harddrive for about 2 months in my Macbook Pro. Worked great for the first couple of months and then without warning just stopped. The disc chatters a lot when I turn it on. Not impressed with Seagate.

works great with no problems. It runs a little bit warmer but not hot and when there is no other sounds around I can hear a slight tick. That doesn't bother me as I'm always listening to music. Again, a great product.

Seagate Momentus 7200.3 ST9320421AS - Hard drive - 320 GB - internal - 2.5" - SATA-300 - 7200 rpm - buffer: 16 MBThis is a fast hard drive. About 25% faster than the 7200 RPM drive that came in my macbook pro, according to macbench. Very affordable.

Pros: High capacity for form factor, fast, near-silent, runs cool.Cons: None so far.Bought it to replace the 160 gb 5400 RPM Fujitsu hard drive in my Macbook pro. I was afraid there would be a change in noise and heat, but so far noise is the same (virtually none) and it actually runs cooler. I didn't run any benchmarks but the system seems speedier. I don't know if battery life is affected.

I bought this to replace an 80G drive in a MacBook. I used an Apricorn kit to copy the old HD to the new HD. (I recommend the Apricorn kit highly.) Apricorn also has detailed instructions which are very helpful for the first time upgrader. This is the 5th laptop upgrade I have done. It seems easy now, but the first time was a little confusing, and the Apricorn step-by-step instructions really helped. The new 320G has plenty of space and there is a noticeable speed improvement, as this drive, the top of the Seagate line, is 7200rpm, as compared to the OE (Original Eqipment) 4200rpm drive. I think the big buffer and high density disk also help speed it up.

I would like to comment on this hard drive, but I can't. That is because it is an OEM drive and it is incompatible with non-OEM drives. No where on this product description does it say that, so I feel like I was misinformed. Unfortunately, this was not purchased directly from Amazon.com but one of their out boarded retailers whose return policy is not as easy. I wish the product overview had mentioned the OEM factor.Buyer Beware!!!
