But this monitor within 8 months has started flashing on and off multiple times a day, it's very annoying and interferes with gaming & other activities. Other than that the monitor is fine but I would recommend against this monitor and it's designed to fail.
UPDATE: Today it won't stop doing it, this thing keeps turning off every 20 seconds and is extremely irritating. DO NOT BUY.

Where it is a let down for me. This first point is my fault, I didn't think to check; it's NOT VESA compatible, which means no arm mounting. Which wouldn't be so bad, but the stand is completely fixed. Absolutely not adjustable. And here is the biggest problem; to make matters worse, the monitor tilts forwards. i currently have the front edge of the stand raised about 4mm, and it still leans forwards.
For this alone, I'm considering sending it back. To get the monitor actually straight, I'll have to tip it back quite a bit further; and then i run the risk of it sliding off the back of the desk.
I'm just loathe to start the monitor hunt all over again, especially when the picture quality IS good...

Eye Saver Mode is not however provided in the menus for this monitor, contrary to the numerous references in the product description. So much for accurate description! A search of the 1600 reviews showed that this problem was highlighted in 2018 but the descriptions have not changed so it completely misleading!
I am too busy to faff about with returns and can use laptop software to get over this but if Eye Saver Mode is important to you, BEWARE!!

Very pleased with picture quality and not expecting any reliability issues. Would recommend

The monitors themselves are exactly what I needed and the quality is excellent. If I needed more monitors I would buy again.

Open the second monitor, plugged in to test, EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUES. Same pattern of backlight bleed and glow, this one with two dead pixels around the middle of the screen. Looks like either terrible manufacturing, or terrible QA, most likely both. The bleed alone is so bad you can never have any sort of dark background on. Notice that the pictures aren’t taken in a dark room, but a well lit one!
Haven’t owned a Samsung monitor before but thought I’d give them a try, looks like I’m better off staying away.

I have a 15" SurfaceBook2, and a pair of these 27" monitors. We'll call them MonitorA and MonitorB.
I can run both monitors, plus the laptop screen, and charge my laptop, and use USB devices plugged into the back of the monitor, from one USB-C cable connected to the laptop.
How to do this:
Connect the included DisplayPort cable from the MonitorA DPOut port to MonitorB DPIn port.
Set the Source on Monitor A to *USB-C*
In the monitor menu on MonitorA, set DP-Out to "USB Type-C: MST"
Set the Source on MonitorB to *DisplayPort*
Connect a USB-C cable from MonitorA to your laptop.
That's it. Do the rest through Windows.
I also have this working on another laptop, that only has DisplayPort output (no USB-C).
To get that working, leave the cables between the monitors the same
Set the Source on Monitor A to *DisplayPort*
In the monitor menu on MonitorA, set DP-Out to "DisplayPort:MST"
Set the Source on MonitorB to *DisplayPort*
Connect a DisplayPort cable from MonitorA to your laptop.
That's it. Do the rest through Windows.
A couple of additional points:
I needed a longer cable than what came with the screens, and while the included Samsung USB-C was fine, for a longer cable I originally bought an Anker. I'm asking this cable to do a lot of things, and I was having issues with MonitorB not connecting, or poor charging, or random weirdness that was quite frustrating. I ended up buying one of these, quite a bit more expensive, but I've since had zero issues:

Lastly, while this does charge my SurfaceBook2 90% of the time, if I do very processor intensive tasks I notice the battery still showing as charging, but the % is dropping. I suspect this would also happen while gaming (which I'm not doing). Like I said though, this only happens occasionally, and I use this setup all day every day. In short, the monitor doesn't push enough juice for a SurfaceBook2 running wide open. When this happens long term, I just plug in the Surface charger as well and carry on.
As for the monitors, I like them. I can raise/lower/spin, cabling is easy, and the picture is great for me for everyday/work use.

Again, not a big deal. You can use two usb c cables, one into each monitor and it works like a charm. Get some longer 6ft cables so you can make them pretty, and you are good to go. (the monitors come with 3ft).
This was amazing for peripherals as each monitor has 3 USB 2.0 ports. I had my mouse, keyboard, and keyboard accessory port hard wired in with minimal clutter. I mounted mine on a dual arm desk clamp style mount. (it was cheap, they dont align perfectly, it drives me nuts)
Driving the monitors through my Work HP via display port was super easy. Set up the daisychain preferences in the moniotrs settings, plug it into one and it just worked. No big deal. Downside here is dispalyport could not read the usb stuff, so i would need to plug my mouse and keyboard into the usb ports on the laptop. This meant there was a lot of switching around every time i transferred between the two. I left an xbox plugged into one monitor via HDMI the entire time and just switched to that input when i wanted to use it. Daisychain kept working on the other regardless of input choice on the main monitor as well.
They are 2k so the picture is amazing, however only 60hz which is a deal breaker for a lot of gamers. I work on these suckers all day and then game on them all night, so 2k was the winner for me over a higher refresh rate. I could have done 2k at 144hz but i would be spending almost 3x the amount per monitor at the time.

Definitely a product to consider when in the market for a quality monitor.
