If you were wondering if you could mix memory stick sizes, you can. I had 4 GB originally and only two memory slots. I didnt want to add 4 and have to throw the memory away if I later found out that adding another 4 was not enough. I went for an 8 GB stick and installed it where the 4 was (I remember reading somewhere that the larger memory should be in the first slot). Then reinstalled the factor provided 4 GB in the second slot. The computer immediately recognized all 12 GB and works fine. Worthwhile addition!

My husband told me he wanted to fix his broken cheap laptop with this. Did not believe that this can fix the slow laptop of his. Like, if you clicked on something, it takes 10 minutes to load.. and I think it worked a little. Now it takes only 5 minute so good job hubby. He was so happy so 5 stars for making his day.

While 2400Mhz memory is fairly common, 2666Mhz is still in relative infancy and difficult to find and in fact this is the first review here of the 2666Mhz speed, the rest are all for the 2400Mhz product.
If you want this specific part number to exactly match an OEM installation I could only find a couple of reputable sources that sell it in the US. I had recently paid a premium for the latest generation Z2G4 workstations for my photographic studio and I wasn't going to compromise by installing anything but exactly what the manufacturer specifies which is part number M471A1K43CB1-CTD.
I chose this vendor, actually a third party seller through Amazon, because they are the one and only place I could get it through Prime. I was hesitant because while they identified the correct part number they obscured the label in the product photo. I had to wonder what they were trying to hide.
Not to worry, what I got was an exact match to what was preinstalled into my new workstation and the measured performance was identical. Quoting exact performance here won’t be very helpful because there are countless factors that can affect your own results compared to mine.
The point I want to communicate is that if you have any doubt that this is a genuine Samsung product and this is the right place to buy it, my experience has been completely positive.

Just got my Acer Aspire 5 laptop. Literally.
Bought this ram stick go upgrade my lowly 4gb ram memory to 12gb.
Had a computer tech install it , and it gave my laptop blue screen error. we removed the ram and still the error stays on power up.
I think the ram stick was defective and screwed up my laptop somehow.
No idea how this happened but my laptop was compatible to this ram stick , it must've had some kind of defect that popped something on slide in to my computer.

PROS: I was looking at different brands of RAM to bump my laptop (HP 15-DW0046NR) from 8GB to 16GB, but I was looking at a 16GB set and was going to remove the stock RAM. I used HWiNFO64 to see what I had installed and it turned out to be Samsung RAM, not some off-brand junk. The RAM this review is about is the Samsung model M471A1K43CB1-CTD, which is exactly what was already installed. So I bumped the RAM to 16GB for only $28US! My wallet was very happy. (I noticed it's even cheaper now)
CONS: It refuses to do my laundry for me.

I was able to determine proper RAM for my Acer . Received quickly, Packaged well. With a video I was able to remove 4G and install 2- 8G.

Great Service. Free Delivery and 2nd Day Delivery. I bought the Samsung 2666 Mhz 8 Gig Stick for my MSI GF63 8RD, so in case you haven't broke the factory seal on yours, it is Samsung Memory, and I was pleasantly suprized when I found this, and that it was the 2666 mhz memory, even though newegg specs said it be 2400 mhz. I haven't installed it yet. It appears to be what I ordered, as far as part number. The only difference, I can see is this stick was ' Made in the Philipines ' and the one the OEM MSI installed was ' Made in China '. Hopefully, that won't make a difference that they came off different manufacturing lines, as their the same configuration, and thats important to have two identical Ram sticks to open up the ' Dual Channels ' 2666 mhz x 2 Channels = 5.3 Gig/ Sec Ram Bandwidth on two independant 2666 mhz bandwidth streams, and now ive doubled the memory buz bandwidth, and the total DDR4 Ram size. Along with the WD Black Nvme 3.4 Gig Drive I just installed, this Rig will be Screaming Fast for 10 years to come. My Sony Viao's going on 10 years, and now its time for a new WD Blue SSD before the 10 year old one acts up. (lasted 10 years, not without maintance, I replaced the keyboard in 2015 because the K key stoped working, and installed 2 sticks of 4 Gig Ramm, to replace the 2 x 2 gigs ram, and that saved the HDD from ticking/ pagefiling, but to go anylonger without a new SSD Drive would be a fools game. OK !! I give it 5 stars on the 2nd day shipping for free, and don't expect any problems, but if I have any, ill come back to report in another thread. So, if you don't hear from me again, just know my 5.3 Gig/ Sec of Memory Bandwidth is so fast, that you wont be able to hear me ' scream ' !!
