Nice but far from perfect.
This is an attractive and well made tool. It does have at least one drawback though. It does not trim the hair right under my nose well. This is most likely due to the fact that it works poorly when your stroke is shortened (nose in the way).

Mediocre at best
Very loud and rattles too much. Only captures about 50% of the trimmings. Feels cheap. I have to spend as much time following-up with scissors to clean up all the stray hairs - so I spend double the time overall. I am definitely changing brands.

Hair in new razor
I recently purchased this razor. It came in the mail I opened the box and took it out to pack with me on vacation. I noticed there was hair in the blade and in the vacuum section!! Very frustrating to see someone else’s hair in my brand new razor I just pulled out of the box.

Helps avoid the bulk of the mess won't trim near the nose
Great device what a relief to have 95% of the whiskers vacuumed up one. Easy to dimp out the whisker collecting tray. Clipper head is too bulky to get close to the nose when trimming mustache hair, I have to use a second trimmer to accomplish that.

Powerful Vacuum
Some of the other brands have the cutting head held on by small plastic clips on the side and they break off easily. This Remington does not have those side clips and the vacuum on this unit is excellent plus easy to clean. Cuts evenly. You do need to put the length adjustment on the shaver before each use and the setting for your length of beard is something you need to experiment with starting at a longer setting. Would recommend this trimmer.

Disappointed
Product didn’t come with all the pieces it said it had. Very difficult to trim without the comb guide. The detail attachment was left out of the box.

Really like it!
Has longer hair setting that others do not. This is why I bought it. The down side: the longer the setting the less the vacuum works - but still better than not having a vacuum at all. I would recommend this trimmer.

Works but disappointed in DESIGN !!
I bought this because my VPG6530 worked out really well until I broke the shroud leading to the catch chamber.
This unit is not compatible with any of attachment for the VPG6530, cell phone mfg learned that is not popular with customers. Hence the 4's instead of solid 5's

Good trimmer
Works well and has good battery life. The on/off button is depressed so I think it will travel well. My previous trimmer could "power-on" and drain the battery. The vacuum isn't great, but better than no vacuum.

Very good trimmer but vacuum reservoir is a bit small.
The trimmer has good power and the vacuum works fairly well. Getting the reservoir cover off is a bit tricky and it doesn't hold much in the way of trimmings. Also, don't use it unless your beard is completely dry. Stubble trimmings get stuck in the guard if they are at all wet. On balance it's worth the money and recommended subject to my small criticisms.

If you own a full beard, this item is next to useless!!
The IDEA of a vacuum attachment to keep those pesky short beard hairs from flying everywhere is a fine concept--- IN THEORY....
BUT
The reality is that you can trim for about 2 seconds before the "vacuum bag" is STUFFED!! And then you must Constantly STOP trimming and go through all kinds of spasms to shake the hair out of a mesh pouch that is just big enough to block the air flow!! BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD, PEOPLE.....

Really disappointed in how much flex there is
The plastic flexes so much that you will not get a beard trim but a severely uneven hacking.

Not for close trimming
The trimmer does capture hair well, but that's about all I can recommend. If like me you want a close trim on your beard it doesn't like doing it. At that setting with the slightest pressure the blades start hitting the trim guide and slow or even stop the blades. It makes a nasty noise when doing this. The design also requires you to remove the guide to empty the hair catcher. The trimmer might work for those with longer beards but it's not for me.

Good trimmer but very bad for short hair.
This is a powerful trimmer which does a good job of catching the hair BUT it is very bad at getting a close trim. The piece which adjusts is huge so you can't get under your nose. Also I tend to like a close trim but even 2 mm setting leaves a bushy beard. Taking the piece off basically gets you ready for a clean shave.

Works okay, battery lasts a while
But the hair catcher barely works, and when it does it only captures half, the rest fall onto the cabinet. Then you have to actively empty it out... too much work.

Not a perfect shave
Doesn’t cut all your hair. Also doesn’t vacuum all your hair. Better just buying a regular razor and deal with the cleanup cuz your gonna have it anyways with this item.

Not good
The only redeeming quality about this trimmer is the vacuum, which works pretty well in catching most hairs. Like other reviews have said, the guard is cheap and flimsy and it just doesn't cut well. I find myself starting off with this for the vacuum, then finishing off with my old trimmer to get everything else. This trimmer still leaves a lot of work for my old trimmer.

Vacuum good, great battery and length adj. But wish were nose hair attchmt.
Definitely helps reduce hair mess via the vacuum function, definitely not 95% efficiency though catches about 65-75% of hair - still great though. Havmt even charged battery yet since I've got it and still full power cutting even after about 10 trims so far. Easy adjustments are made to length. Wish it came with nose hair attachment and narrow attachment for lips and mustache.

Doesn't catch all hair - still a fair bit of cleanup after trimming your beard
The device is a bit clumsy to adjust, to empty, and to re-adjust afterwards. The vacuum catches most, but not all the hair. It's OK.

Decent electric razor. Great for shape up and to remove lots of hair
Does NOT give a super close shave. really only good for shaping detailing. for smooth skin you gotta go back with a manual razor.

Best vacuum trimmer so far
This is currently the best vacuum trimmer I have used. Minimal hair left on the sink after use and it's a great trimmer.
