Supper handy! Almost perfect
The vacuum feature is a freaking GAME changer. Makes grooming all your -regions- super easy. The blades cut very finely, however the placement of the them makes aiming a bit awkward. Just take it very slow when your first using/learning this machine. The level comb is also a bit clunky, so it make evening out a bit harder and slower. Hair doesn't flow so smoothly through it because of it's clunk. Battery life is incredible! I only have to charge once every 2 weeks or so, and I trim to maintain shape every 3-4 days.

Like the original one but way better!
I owned a few older versions of this model for beard trimming and loved every one of them but inevitably those nickel batteries would short out after about 2 years of charging/discharging, still worth the price to just go and grab another but then they suddenly disappeared from the Remington trimmer line-up for quite a while only to finally reemerge with this ridiculously, almost foolishly stronger model that outperforms the older models 100 fold! This thing's a flat out, dead nuts accurate trimming beast! The vacuum feature works 100X's better than the older models while the runtime of it's lithium battery is nothing short of miraculous when compared to older and/or other trimmers/brands. This is the one trimmer to rule them all!! I've already ordered another as a back-up, just in case it suddenly disappears again!

The vacuum takes away from the functionality
I like the concept and it does get most of the hairs, but to accomplish this feat they had to pull the razor back about halfway down the top of the trimmer. This makes it especially hard to trim your mustache up by your nose. It takes some learning, but you can make this trimmer work for you. Not really worth the vacuum thing though as you still have to clean afterwards as it doesn't get all of the hairs. I wouldn't really recommend this if you desire a shorter trim.

Vacuum really works.
Love the vacuum feature. Handles most of my thick course stubble and is very easy to use. The guard works pretty good but would do better to have expose pointers or teeth. Am used to clipper guards that sort of lift hair as it cuts. Over all tho, love these. The battery hasn't quit on me yet, no noticable degredation in performance after cutting hair, beard, and man scaping. Did empty the hair bucket a couple times.

DOES THE JOB
Let me start by saying this is the first beard trimmer I have ever owned so I am by no means an expert. After reading many reviews (good and bad) I chose this trimmer. After years of comb & scissor trimming I don't know how I ever got along without this handy little gadget. The vacuum future is great and even though you must empty quite often it still beats having the mess to clean up afterwards. I love having the multiple length feature with a single attachment and found as long as you keep it flat to your face it works as described. I found that if your patient with how much you remove (a little at a time) you will find this to be a great trimmer.

Solid little trimmer
I bought this trimmer to replace another vacuum-based trimmer, (Philips Norelco 7300). The vacuum in this new model is surprisingly powerful, leaving very little hair behind. The length guide loses 1 star for being a bit flimsy, but as long as you don't press down too hard it doesn't seem to flex. The vacuum bin loses 1 star for being tricky to open, but does a great job of trapping hair. I wish there was a battery meter on it, but it seems to run for a couple of weeks per charge.
Overall, very happy with this trimmer.

This is almost perfect
The battery charge lasts a long time and it does a great job trimming my beard. My only complaint is I wish it was better at collecting all the trimmings. I still get a little hair on me - although, it does better if I remember to empty it before it gets full. Depending on how long I wait between trimmings, sometimes I have to empty the hair out 3 times.

does a good job sucking up the hairs
it took a little to get used to but it really does suck up the hair clippings if you use it right. at first it worked "ok" till i figured out you have to use it right. just have to make downward passes, its doesnt get as close if you go against the grain but it order to suck up most the hairs you have to use it with the grain

Average at Best
The trimmer is very average. The adjustment for length of cut is not as accurate as I prefer as well as when you press on the beard the plastic protector gives allowing uneven cuts. The cleaning aspect requires removal of the head cover versus easy door from front I had on my previous one. I use this as a backup but still using my old shaver with the broken door and just tape the broken door closed. I would not buy this particular one for my personal use again.

Poor Design
I didn't even need to plug this into the wall. After looking at it for 1 minute, i knew i was returning it. it has very little control for beard depth as the plastic flimsy piece will easily bend several millimeters changing the depth of cut as you shave. This is a TERRIBLE design. i can't believe it even has 4 stars. i am trying to get this down to a zero star so people stop buying it.

Effective trimmer
I use this for trimming my beard, and very much like the finely-graduated scale for setting the trim length (although at my advanced age I need glasses to read the tiny numbers). The vacuum is powerful and captures at least 95% of beard trimmings.
Unlike some other reviewers, I don't find that the beard guard flexes excessively in use (I have a gentle touch). Nor do I find it inconvenient to have to remove it in order to empty the vacuum chamber of clippings and to clean the trimmer blades.

Great trimmer except for one thing.
I really like this trimmer. Vacuum works very well. Adjustable guard is easy to set. Battery life last me a long time. I only use it twice a week sometimes three time and have been going over a month and haven’t charged it. My one complaint is the guard is a pain with trying to trim your mustache, it wants to hit your nose and not let you get all the hair. So kinda difficult with the guard design. Other than that a great product.

Long Lasting & Even But Slow
This is a product that leaves you scratching your head. The battery life is stellar! I can't count the number of times I can use it before it needs charging. Which is a surprise because it takes fully twice as long to do the job as my last trimmer. The quality of the trim is first rate if time doesn't matter, but it does. I recommend it with reservations.

Women!!!!! Get this for your man!
The simple fact that my husband's hair isn't all over the sink anymore is a Godsend. This product made that happen! Kudos to humans to being so smart. His beard looks great, and the adjustable feature is incredible. It saves space because now, you don't have to store different guard lengths to achieve the look you want. This wife is VERY happy with this product.

I loved my Phillips T980 for years of good service. The new Phillips employs a hinged door which breaks off, but this Remingron is great: slide in catch bin, powerful vacuum action (although not as good as the old 980) and what I like the most not overly sharp on the skin without a guard while still giving a close cut.

Not Crazy About This Trimmer
I'm not crazy about this trimmer, 1st, you have to remove comb in order to empty the beard catcher. 2nd, the comb length adjustment is stiff and hard to move and the various length settings are TINY. In all fairness, though it DOES catch most of the trimmings.
I would not recommend this trimmer and am considering purchasing a different one.

I'm disappointed.
At the top of the list is the ouch factor- this thing loves to grab a hold of your whiskers and give them a nasty tug. It hurts!
The vacuum is a great idea, but poorly executed. It works, but the shaver still leaves enough clippings in the sink/tub that makes it not worth having.
Battery life is great, and the trimmer looks sleek, but I'd rather not have my whiskers pulled out of my face.

Easy emptying, questionable adjustments
Used to use Philip's 7200 but cutting head broke on that so I tried this one. I like the ease of emptying the chamber compared to the 7200 - no need to remove cutter. Only drawback I've found is the depth adjustment is not very good and doesn't seem real durable. Has the potential to slip in my opinion. The Philips 7200 depth control is much better. Still early in my use, though.

Good vacuum but uneven trim
The vacuum works great but the trimmer is bulky and doesn’t allow trimming under the nose. The length of the cut hairs is a bit uneven as others have noted. Length adjustment is not as precise as the dial on the Phillips and has to be reset every time you clean the head.

Loud, overfeatured trimmer
Post 90 day review - one of the worst trimmers that I've had the displeasure of using. Trimmer comb provides and inconsistent trim that would leave untrimmed patches in odd parts of my beard. Vacuum is a nice touch, but after 3 months it's gone from 95% retention to 60%. Poor locking functionality means it occasionally slips down length levels during shaving, resulting in a shorter trim than originally set.
Another point, this thing sounds like a chainsaw when turned on. Strongly do not recommend for anyone with roommates, spouses, or newborns.

does a great job cleaning up
I was skeptical that it would keep the sink area clean but seems to work really well. I expected the random hairs but it really does a good job and not allowing a huge mess. Obviously it will not catch everything but it does a great job and is not crazy loud or anything.

Our skin is clean!
I bought this for my husband and there is always a mess in the bathroom sink - it works well, he likes it and I really like that we are not putting whiskers down the drain. Depending how close you need to trim it works very well. Super short not as great as a nice stubble.

Guide bends and blades are loud
The length guide is only affixed at the back of the trimmer, leaving the front to bend down at unpredictable times. It's usually okay if I brace it with my finger. But, really? Also, blades are very loud against each other. I have to lubricate them every time, and that only quiets them for half a trim. And you have to remove the guide just to empty the vacuum chamber, meaning you can leave the trimming length set in place, but rather have to check it every time. Vacuum action is fine but not great. Going back to a Phillips Norelco model.
