I have purchased this memory module to extend my laptops defaults (4GB on Acer 4830TG).Bought this while on a trip to USA (without the laptop) and now back to Europe.Today installed it - but the machine does not see the module.Tried both slots, with or without default memory module.Just does not work. The laptop either does not boot, or when booted sees only original module of 4GB.Sadly, the return window expired 4 days ago.What a waste.

so I fit the card into the slot and fire up my brand new HP i3 pc..so far so good: It runs faster, and the computer recognises the memory. unfortunately, after a few hours of surfing the net, and watching Netflix, I get the cache memory dump blue screen of death, and the computer restarts. This process repeats over and over again..at one point it gives me the blue screen within 30 mins of booting up. I call HP tech support, and the guy tells me that the memory module is probably causing it. I remove it, and my pc has been working fine ever since. Since I don't know if it's because of my pc, or a fault of the ram, I'm keeping it. I'll put it into one of my other desktops later and try it out.

Can't do without it, and I am afraid, as cheap as I am, that I really don't believe that the name of the memory matters as much as I guess it should. This fit easily and quickly into my wife's laptop and seems to be working without a problem.

I have 2x2 (4GB) Corsair XM3 1333mhz ram, and it works perfectly fine with my existing system, but I realized that I needed more RAM for more intensive applications, so I decided to buy this instead of another set of 2x2 Corsair RAM, and that was quite a big mistake. My system didn't even start up even with just the Patriot RAM in the first slot, let alone running simultaneously with my Corsair memory. I am sending this back immediately, and replacing it with more Corsair RAM. In my opinion, Patriot's products are inexpensive due to the fact that they are terrible at making reliable products.

It fit the slot, computer recognized it, computer worked faster. I think it was a great but for the price and selecting it was easy you run the program.

My sisters hp laptop started to have all kinds of problems and wouldn't even boot most of the time so I had to figure something out. I took it completely apart checking the fan and all of the connections and it turns out that on of her sticks of memory was causing all the of the problems I believe. It had a 4gb and a 2gb stick and I took the 2gb out first and it worked great so I decided to just bump the memory from 6gb to 8gb. There maybe could have been a better price out but from the little bit of searching I did, Amazon had a good price and I knew when it would arrive.After installing the memory, I think I had one more issues but after that, it seems like everything has been smooth sailing since and hoping that the computer will last her many more years to come. This has a lifetime warranty on it which makes it very simple if you ever have any issues with the memory. Patriot is a good name in the business also so you shouldn't have any problems getting it fixed.

I bought this for my Lenovo thinkpad 'cause I run only on 4GB of ram...and I use photoshop and iTunes and Chrome at the same time (bad habit, I know) So I just wanted to give my computer an extra boost. Everything is smooth, runs great, got no problems with it.

Fast speed and reliable. Remember to install new software after you install the ram chips. some programs do not understant the faster speed.

Easy to install and has been working great for 2 months. Great price and with a relatively slow internet connection, I think it's helped make videos off the net run a little more smoothly and without interruption.

I had a blue screen of death issue that I was able to isolate one of the memory sticks I had. I chose Patriot as a replacement because I've bought them from Fry's Electronics in the past for my desktop and have had no issues. It works fine no blue screens any more.

Upgraded my newly purchased taptop's ram with this product and works just fine. No complaints. Patriot products are the way to go and the price can not be beat.

One of the 2 sticks was a different color than the other and I was sure it wouldn't but both sticks worked like a champ with 2 existing sticks in my HP. I now has 16GB and so far it works well.

I obught three of these 4GB cards at the same time and for a good while the Computer Status apge and DxDiag both listed the available RAM as 12GB. Several weeks ago, interestingly enough , the RAM quantity began being shown as 12GB / 11GB available. There doesn't seem to be any perceptible degradation of service, and I have no idea about the source of the listing change. The cards seemto ahve worked perfectly well over the year that I've had them. I have an ASUS P6T motherboard with an i7 - 930 running Windows 7 Ultimate x64bit with about 3TB fo HD capacity, and the whole system is working beautifully.

Easy to upgrade memory in your laptop that makes a noticeable performance difference if you are running a 64bit OS.Do the research to get the right SODIMM for your laptop before you order.Anyone that can follow directions (or watch youtube and follow directions) with a tiny screw driver can do this upgrade.Shut down laptop, remove battery to be safe, remove screw, open door, plug in memory SODIMM, close door, replace screw, replace battery, start up laptop, done. Best to keep cats and small children away during procedure. And don't lose the screw!

I buy this memory and I'm a Patriot?Patriot of which country?I think they should rename it Traitor Memory. Since I'm really not really a patriot so I must be a traitor - right?This is all so confusing I don't know where to begin. I can probably take some small measure of comfort knowing (or at least thinking) that this world is all one planet.We are all patriots of planet earth. . . .So I installed this in my latest wiz bang computer and it works. Just be sure to match the current memory or at least get the same pair if upgrading.What else is there to say. I really don't feel bad about this purchase.

This was a very good Ram Upgrade however I did not understand my notebook and only needed one of these to upgrade to 8 GB.It already had 4 GB installed,I had some sort of brain fart and believed I needed 2 as ram is usually upgraded in pairs.Stuff like this happens when you get old.And sometimes when your young Eh?

I am completely happy with this purchase. The price was right and these are damn easy to install even for a novice. Open the tower of your PC, look for similar chips, and slide these in next to them. If their is not enough space, pull one of the older lower speed chips out and replace it with these.Easy-Peasy
