Don't buy

Printer works well. Paid $125 for the printer and less than 50 prints later I need to buy new ink....for $100....ridiculous, I'd rather buy a whole new printer for that price

Quality, speed good for the price

The set up was a little more involved than I anticipated. Haven’t been able to get the WiFi to work, but direct cable is fine. Prints fast, quality is good. First cartridge didn’t last long, I was a little surprised.

I needed a wifi printer to work w/out downloading a driver

Everything I own is wireless. I needed a simple good quality printer for shipping labels, invoices, simple stuff. I didn’t need all the extras of all in 1 & bubblejet printers are no good for office prints. I was really hesitant to buy a new brand I hadn’t used before but ratings were good. I’ve got 19 years of using other name brands & most had issues getting set up. I pulled this out of the box. Easy enough, not a lot to get confused with. I realized I has to directly plug ethernet into my router. Changed my desired place to have it in the house. Whatever as long as it works as a wifi printer. I did have to google a few times because first responses were not clear on set up & ipad. It really was pretty easy & prints beautifully. So nice to have a good printer again. My old one is a bit of a frankensteins monster right now & barely made it before this one was delivered.

This Pantum is exactly what I wanted. Medium small sized printer for office paperwork; Smaller than my old printer. I don’t print a bunch daily, no more than 50 pages average. I have some serious PTSD when it comes to adding peripherals to computers this one worked in about 45 mins of me being meticulous & no tears, lol. 😜 that’s really good for me.

Great printer for the price.

So far so good. Nice, quick little printer. Can't beat it for the money. Have to be somewhat technical to setup printer on your computer, though. Also, you want to make sure that the IP address of the printer doesn't change (i.e. make sure that your network DHCP server hands out the same address each time or assign an IP address to your printer statically). I believe that this is the problem behind the common complaint that this and other wireless printers "stop working" wirelessly after the power has been cycled. I'm guessing the device is getting a new IP address from DHCP server which makes it seem like it is unresponsive. Problem is the computer is looking for the printer at the incorrect IP address. Other than that it has been great. Wife and I print to it wirelessly and it wakes up each time we print to it. I just printed a test print job now as I was writing this and it woke right up and printed.

Great product!

I had an old Samsung 2165w printer which had been working for me for more than 4 years, and now it showed its age, specifically, the Samsung printer failed to load paper from its tray frequently so I started to look for a new one on the market. My initial target are those big brands like HP, Canon or Brother, but after reading papers of papers negative reviews about all the popular models from them, I notice this Pantum one, whose features and price are very competitive, and finally decided to give it a try.

The machine arrived today and setup is pretty straightforward: just taking out the cartridge, pulling out the seal and replacing it, loading papers in the tray, plugging the power cable and connecting it with my iMac with a USB cable, then everything work smoothly.

There is a small setup hiccups, and I want to remind everybody. The default tray paper size is A4, which is rare in USA. After adjusting the paper tray size to load Letter-Size papers, you also need to adjust the tray paper size setting to Letter-Size by using the control panel, which locates at the top of the machine. This is never mentioned anywhere in the manual, and I figured it out by searching on Internet and noticed there are similar issues for many other printer brands.

Tried so hard to make it work.

Out of the box had problems. Couldn't get it to connect to network then after hours of attempting finally got it connected but can't print from any printer on the network unless you are connected to the printer directly via cable. So we tried that (thinking we'd come back to the network issue) "let's see how it prints at least right? Put papers into tray (didn't fill, gadge on tray in front didn't even say half full) tried to print a test page and it sucked up 10 pages and jammed. Cleaned rollers w/rubbing alcohol as suggested and tried again. This time it only sucked up 5 pages (for 1 test page) but didn't jam. So I guess that's an improvement? 1 printed page and 4 blank but no jam. So tried a 4 page document.. aaaand jam after jam.

So that was the last straw.. this "network printer" can't easily connect to network and once connected can't properly print...

Even tried setting up a printer server with a Ras pi but the printer isn't supported... So after contacting the seller again and asking if they could get the PPD file for the printer (can't seem to find any on the printers site, the internet or supplied CD) they replied after 2 days and said they couldn't find any PPD files for this model either.
So after trying to make this work every which way I had to return the printer.

Good for documents, not for grayscale

Black printing is great. Grayscale is too dark. This printer is good if you are just printing documents without pictures. The setup is fairly easy if you have a computer to plug it into. There is no way to set the IP address on the printer itself.

Inexpensive, fast and tons of prints thanks to its toner capacity...

I like the speed of this printer. It's really fast to print. It's small and has a toner capacity nearly twice as big as the rest.

I also like its cheap price. An example of a lesser-known brand being less costly than more recognized brands. It's just as good as well-known brands.

Great for everyday black and white printing.

Excellent print quality, great value for everyday black and white printing. No trouble printing on heavy card stock.
It has a very clean appearance and feels like a better quality than most printers in this price category. I grabbed this quickly as I plannned to use it for gold foiling.

Totally looked forward to using this printer because of the specs. A mistake. I have used hps for over twenty years and never had a missing piece in packaging in this case output tray was ready to start on a major project that Not so.

The printer does not work

All the packaging was intact there were no marks on it I opened it up I set it up on the table I’ve hooked it up to my Macintosh laptop installed the software and the product refuses to print I keep getting an error code. Trying to set it up for Wi-Fi printing it keeps saying I cannot pick up the Wi-Fi yet I’m right beside it. A brand new ream of paper installed approximately 30 sheets and I keep getting an error code when it tries to print turned it off turned it on nothing it’s still gives an error code when you try to print or you try to set up the Wi-Fi

I would buy again

I paid $60 and I think it was well worth it. I had some technical difficulties but I figured it out. The printer was somewhat confusing to get started via the directions but now, I really can’t complain. It’s definitely not an American product but all I wanted was a printer with a little fuss, black-and-white laser printing and it does the job! I easily print from my phone all throughout my home.

Misrepresented

Be advised this is VERY difficult to set up. I was never able to get the wifi to work, just like other users. I was only able to print by connecting m laptop to the printer directly. Additionally, the paper tray doesn't fit standard letter sized paper. There appears to be a design flaw and it only holds 5-6 sheets at a time. Totally useless and misrepresented

Budget Laser Printer That Does The Job

Yes it can be difficult to setup. The instructions aren't clear but if you can, you're better off downloading the drivers from the website and hard-wiring it to your PC to install the thing. From there, you can connect the printer to your wireless network. Don't bother with the mobile app unless you have no other choice.

Aside from installation pains, it's a budget laser printer that prints decent quality and is working well for me. Good value for money.

5* solution for SoHo 👍👍

Pros:
Good price, easy install and setup. Adjustable tray for different paper size. Friendly for mobile devices. Good price for supplies. Toner box and drum unit are separated. Quiet, energy saving, fast printing.
Great solution for Home or Small Office.
Cons:
Not the best in grayscale pics printing (probably adjustable).

Works well when you eventually succeed in configuring it

Works well once it is set up. Directions are standard difficult to use like the early 1990s. Comes with a CD which few people can use. Managed to download a driver. Difficult to set up and configure. Display is also early 1990s style and not very helpful. That said, once it is set up, it works well. Not sure what the toner will cost.

I've owned a Pantum printer for 4 years now and was ready for an upgrade. I don't print everyday and the laser printer works great even through long periods of non use! By far this is the best bang for the buck for my scenario!

Configuration Issue

Mixed bag - very difficult to configure w/ printer, took a third device to recognize the computer which runs on Windows 10 platform. .The good news is - very inexpensive, runs smoothly when its operational, and the print quality is very good.

Se desconfigura muy fácil y problemas para detectar el papel en la bandeja principal

Imprime de buena calidad, pero se desprograma con facilidad, no reconoce el papel automáticamente esto hace que pierda hasta una hora cada vez que la voy a usar, acumula documentos no los imprime y luego después que cancelas por que llevas tiempo tratando de imprimir resulta que imprime todo. Deben de solucionar el problema del papel ya no se a que santo rezar para que imprima a la primera

Network impossible, support non-existent

Wifi printing from Mac worked great for the first few days, then for no reason printer would disconnect. Tried sending my print jobs to my phone via the app, which worked temporarily, then stopped. Tried deleting and re-downloading printer drivers and the app, then re-installing them: same problem. I can't even plug and play directly via USB! What is wrong with this company that they can't update the software?

It works great and my computer found it easily.

So far this is a great printer and since it uses toner instead of ink it should last a long time. Easy to set up, the paper tray expansion was tricky for me. The tray expands to fit the right size paper, it slides back and the back of the printer has a door that opens.

Not worth it

Honestly if you can get it to print the quailty is good but everytime we have gone to use its somehow not recognized by anything in the house anymore. Ive only been able to print from my phone once after that it would say printing for maybe 10sec and immediately go back to saying printer ready. I dont recommend.

Overall is a super nice printer at a very good price!

Like the price but was very impressed with the quality and aspects of the printer. It seems like a $250 printer. It was easy to setup and Prints very fast. I’m using it on as wireless with 2 computers. Very happy so far!

Good printer and fast but jams

I love this printer, it prints so fast and the set up is fairly easy. I also like how it prints on both sides automatically, the thing I don’t like is how easily it jams. Every time I print like 25 pages almost every time there are about 4 paper jams. It’s a good printer but you have to keep a eye on it and if you print a lot, end up losing a lot of paper.

Every attempt to print resulted in paper jam

Cheap price and a waste of time. Out of the box, the printer did not work. Made a loud grinding noise when warming up and every attempt to print resulted in a paper jam. I immediately sent it back and ordered a more expensive printer from a reliable brand. Can not recommend this printer.
