one button music in my kitchen
this radio lives in my kitchen. No more messing about with my phone, apps, wifi, etc to hear music as I cook. I have it set to my favorite station and so just sliding the on button is enough. Clear sound, compact size - this radio is perfect I even took it on vacation.

Compact but nice tone.
I really like this little radio. It certainly doesn't have any bells or whistles but for a radio that you want to keep handy for occasional use, this one fills the bill. I like the fact that it has an ear phone jack so I can use it with my under pillow ear phone. The only problem that I found is that it doesn't have a dial light so you must be in a lighted spot to change stations if you want to see the dial.

Solid inexpensive radio
This is a really solid inexpensive radio. By having both battery and plug in power it is perfect for our hurricane prep and use.
I like the signal strength light that shows when you have the strongest signal.

Just like the radio my Dad used to use
My Dad had a radio made by the same company. He used to listen to it when he was working in his shed. I was amazed that I was able to find one almost like his. It works well. I listen to it in my shed when I'm working, & make me think of my Dad.

Great radio... when it's plugged in
I listen to radio all day, so I want something portable (can't use headphone for my work issues). Works well, but the batteries keep blasting out, as if it's a Jack-In-the-box! Have had to keep it taped shut. Also had to bend the little contact points inside to better connect to the batteries (still gives me trouble, half the time). Other than that it's a great little radio, Sounds good, looks good, comes with an AC plug-in cable (which I use most of the time. It's my favorite radio when it's plugged i!). I've been looking for a replacement since the battery issue drives me friggin' nuts. Can't really find anything I think I'd like better. Re-engineer that battery compartment, folks!

Fine Looking Portable Radio That Performs Well
Reading the myriads of reviews on this Panasonic 2400D, I was thoroughly confused of the expected performance. I found it performed very well. Got all the FM I care to listen to, and the same for the AM. Users should be aware that the telescopic antenna is for use with the FM only. When tuning AM an internal, built-in antenna is utilized. The radio itself should be oriented for the best reception and the least noise. I live in the low side of a mountainous area and is not a high reception area, and radio still performs well.

Very Good Sound!
Purchased this product for our bedroom. Was so impressed with the sound and volume that I Purchased another one for our in home office. Obviously very happy with this radio!

Perfect gift for 89 yr old dad
This was a perfect gift for my 89 year old dad. The tuning knob is large and the station numbers are big enough so he can see them. It operates on power or batteries and he can move it when he likes.

Problem with cord
This is the 2nd one of these radios I have purchased in the last 3 years. Both have had the same issue with the cord. What you are able to tune in to is dependent upon your wiggling the cord a certain way if you choose not to use batteries and of course you have to use the antenna. It's like the cords have been folded up too long and it affects what you get through their wiring. I had to throw the cord to my first one away and when I ordered my latest radio I have been better pleased with it other than the cord.

Great little radio
If you are looking for a basic portable radio....no frills, just stations, this is it. It is small, lightweight, compact, and has great sound. Nice that you can plug it in, or use batteries. It does have a port for earbuds.

Sometimes older technology is better
I had gotten very frustrated with my phone service buffering the live radio station stream I listen to as I got ready in the morning- usually right in the middle of the weather report or the news headlines. It occurred to me that if I went back to using a radio, I wouldn’t miss sections of the weather or news or songs anymore. I grew up using a clock radio - and remembered it actually worked great. I wanted a basic radio (still love my phone alarm) and this one fits the bill. Low profile, classic, good sound.

Es ua radio sencilla, fácil de manejar, muy práctica
lo compré para mi papá que es invidente y me pareció perfecto para él, ya que no necesita una radio con muchas funciones, además el sonido es lo esperado.
Como comentario extra, no entiendo porque la caja original donde viene la radio estaba algo maltratada...
por lo demás todo bien.

Buen radio, es básico pero no decepciona.
Es un buen radio AM-FM, con una bocina potente y aunque no es estéreo si tiene una buena calidad de sonido; lo único que mejoraría sería la sintonización de frecuencias con una pantalla digital visualizando mejor las estaciones.
