A must have
My sister purchased the first one for me to have just in case the landlord in my state does not provide maintence to power grid and we go into another frozen state (with no POWER)...
This radio is perfect radio. Comes with a cord for electrical outlet and you can use batteries. When the batteries are in and the it is plugged in no issues,but when the cord is removed from the outlet the batteries kick in. The other is in the garage so I can listen to my baseball,football games when I am working.
Has a clear crisp sound on either FM/AM. Get one a enjoy.

Quality/Good Reception AM&FM- Nice Size not to big.
I needed a portable radio that was not too large (not counting the handle and the volume knob, Size is 8" wide, 4.75" high, 2.25" deep). Went with Panasonic because of name brand. Not disappointed. I like that it uses 4 AA batteries. It has a big speaker and has excellent clear sound. Simple to use. It is I will note that the ear plug does not work. I could send it back but I don't plan to use it and the rest of the radio is perfect for what I wanted. I am picking up an AM station easily that I use to struggle to tune in with other radios. The dial and tuning does not cram all of the stations close together so you can select and tune those stations that might be close together. I would by again.

Great little radio!
I am able to tune in stations (AM/FM) with no problem. Rception is crystal clear, volume is excellent and the dial is easy to read. Noticed when set up to rely on the antenna to fine tune station it wasn't consistent and I had to constantly fiddle with the antena. It was better to place radio where the reception was clear to begin with. Very pleased with my purchase.

It has good reception. Both in urban area and at my remote cabin. Wish it had car cord.
As a EE it has two minor problems: the off-on switch is a combo with am/FM band switch (slide). this is the part that failed on my last brand. Means you have to change band everytime you turn it on or OFF.
AC cord comes out the side and extends to far; now good for table working, it is a heavy duty zip cord.
But overall the sound and reception are well worth it

Perfect AM/FM radio for camping
I bought this to replace a smaller Sony AM/FM transistor radio that I melted somehow. It still worked, but the little speaker could get a little nasty when you turned it up.
This thing is great - plenty of bass. I stayed up later one night and had some fun Dx'ing - the AM tuner pulled in a lot of very remote stations.
It came with an AC cord, but I've never used it - it runs on AA batteries and they last a long time.
Very recommended.

A quality product at a reasonable price
We bought this radio for my daughter & son in law. They are moving to the North Caroline shoreline. "Hurricane Alley" They will need a portable radio there from time to time. I sold Panasonic Radios when I was in College. They make Great Radios. I still have one of their walnut table radios from the 70's. This still works great!!!

Of all my old radio's this one has the nicest sound
Sounds great like it's coming out of an old tube type radio you can fine tune it and operates on battery and A/C because some day it may be necessary

Small & Portable
This was exactly what I was looking for in a small radio to place on my kitchen counter. Is easy to dial in radio stations to get the best reception. The sound is not the greatest for the one speaker, but it does come through clear. Have not used with batteries so not sure how that works, have just used plug in which works well. No frills, just a plain little box am/fm radio; just what I was looking to purchase!

Pulls in distant, weak stations
I live in New York City. At night, in bed, I like to listen to old radio shows that are broadcast by a Canadian station in Hamilton, Ontario. The station is CHML, 900 AM. My previous AM/FM radio could barely hold on to the stations signal and it would fade in and out.
This radio is terrific and picking up that week, distant station as though it is right here broadcasting in New York City.

I bought this to replace one that I purchased from another manufacturer (that died about a month after purchase). It still works and seems to be much better quality. The only reason that I gave it 4* is because the signal strength seems weaker.

Great AM and FM reception and sound quality!
I am extremely happy with this purchase. Tuning dial is tight. The large speaker offers powerful clear sound! Not all radios have a good AM reception, which is what I was looking for, but this one does! I purchased at the same time as the Dream Sky (similar price and size).This was $4.00 more but WAY better in sound quality and in being well built. I sent the Dream Sky back!
