Amazing! A truly flexible cooking device.
If I had to pick one piece of kitchen equipment which I could take with me to a desert island, it would have to be this microwave. Not only does it do all the standard microwave things, but it also has a convection oven and a grill function as well!
If all you use your microwave for is heating your dinner up when you're late back from a day at the office, then this unit is probably overkill. If however, you want to be able to do everything from defrosting sausages to roasting a joint of meat, to baking a carrot cake, to grilling toast - then you may have come to the right place.
One thing I will say (and this may seem obvious) is that you really should read the manual quite carefully. Depending on the mode of cooking you select - you may or may not need to supplement the glass turntable with an included elevated wire rack and/or enamel platter. If you don't use the correct combination of accessories, you risk sub-optimal results or even breakage.
Apart from the number of cooking modes, it's important to realise that the way the Panasonic microwave works is fundamentally different to the way other manufacturers' microwaves work. All other microwaves are essentially like a light switch - the magnetron (the element which generates the microwaves) is either 100% on or 100% off. If you select 60% power, the magnetron will switch on 100% for 6 seconds and off for 4 seconds, and repeat this until the timer ends. Obviously when you're trying to cook something like a sauce or scrambled eggs, this is a big problem - you really do need fine control over the power rather than just intermittently blasting it at full power.
The Panasonic inverter takes the 50Hz mains electricity and converts it into a form of electricity which can be controlled more like a light dimmer switch - rather than alternately blasting full power, you really can generate microwaves at 10%, 27%, 30%, 44%, 60% or 100% power constantly throughout the cooking cycle. This give much more control, and helps to avoid things accidentally over-cooking.
It really does work very well, and gives you a great amount of control - the only challenge you'll find is remembering all the multifarious modes and methods you have at your disposal. This is not a problem - I think it's just a case of gradually increasing your proficiency with it over time. There are enough pre-programmed automated cooking modes that you can simply pick a food type from the menu, select a weight, and have the oven cook it automatically.
Size wise, the turntable is a very generous 34cm in diameter, which is plenty large enough for even the largest of dinner plates. And the depth of the unit is only just a tad larger than the turntable. This means that you can shove it back against the wall, and it won't eat up the entirety of your worktop. It looks smart, and the controls are all wipe-clean, as is the stainless interior.
Altogether a very clever machine indeed, and with the sophisticated technology built-in, well worth the money.

Microwave power
I Have had to replace my microwave after some 19 years devastated. I ordered this one as it seemed similar to my old one. Arrived on time and husband unpacked it and threw away the box, if I still had the box I would have send it back.
I have just gone to use the microwave part to cook something at 800 and low and behold I can’t, he microwave power 1000 high,600 medium, 440 low, or 100 warm, not any use to me as most of my micro foods is 800. My old microwave went from 1000 down to 100 in increments of 100. Am so unhappy

This is the microwave/combi I have been looking for
Many years ago I had a combi/ microwave and I loved it, it broke down after a lot of use but circumstances dictated that I hadn't got another of its standard ,my current combi wasn't that user friendly and the baking/grilling element was of the exposed kind (not good for cleaning).
This one is more like my old appliance but so much better and easy to use.Yes there are a lot of functions and you will need the manual close to hand for a while until you get to know all it's functions (there are many) but what I have used it for so far has cooked the food to perfection.
The auto settings for frozen pizza produced a well cooked,soft based tasty meal and in a family of shift workers you need an appliance that can cook or re-heat meals without using the large standard oven 4 times a day.
The interior is completely stainless steel with a concealed element and oven fan and it comes complete with a glass turntable ,steel oven tray and a wire rack..
The best thing about the unit is the display where the clock is displayed also gives helpful instructions to help navigate through the different functions which does make everything just that bit easier to learn how to use it.
The microwave itself cooks very well and heats evenly throughout the food and with the new inverter technologie the power is totally adjustable.
The manual itself is very comprehensive right down to an explanation as to how microwaves cook your food and includes recipes,reheating charts,cooking charts,9 auto roast programmes,8 auto cook programmes and 8 junior menu programmes. there are instructions for using the timer,multi stage cooking, combination grill and microwave , convection and microwave and how to defrost (manualy and chaos auto defrost), in fact I don't think there is a thing this manual under decribes or misses out.
This unit will be used multiple times throughout the day and I expect it will save quite a bit on electricity bills in my house .it would also be good in student digs or bedsits and is a good overflow oven for christmas or anytime you need more oven space

The sad lonely single man's dream machine!
As a Forty something single man living alone this wonderful appliance is completely top of the pops!
It literally does everything and does it all so well with absolute ease of use, it's an awesome bit of kitchen kit and I can't find any faults with it whatsoever.
I've only ever had Panasonic microwave ovens and in over 30 years now I've actually only needed 2 they are so good, this combination microwave is my third and definitely the best of them all, Convection Oven brilliant.... Grill brilliant.... Microwave brilliant.... Combination Modes brilliant.... Programs brilliant.... Build Quality brilliant.... Instructions and ease of use.... brilliant.

This is the more recent model of the one I had that packed up. Easy to use, very even cooking. I use the convection oven a lot and am very happy with results. Came well packed and delivery was prompt.

Happy but I was confused
As just farthest, one of the two heating bars, in the top of the inside on this oven, behind the protective stainless steel lining, ever glows orange with heat. I thought the first one I received was faulty, but the replacement was exactly the same (sorry Amazon) so I kept the first one and returned the replacement as it had noise issues. Otherwise, I love this product, the inverter power does seem to prevent microwave heating hot spots and I am confident that I am using a fraction of the electricity to heat than with my big oven or grill for a measly frozen croissant. You don't have to wait for the grill to reach the temperature either. I love the evenly spread browning too and being able to have it up at surface top height. Goes perfectly with my Panasonic inverter fridge freezer :)

Factory fault
I had Panasonic Microwave oven for a number of yrs, so when it ceased to work I sent for another Panasonic, more up to date, just the one i wanted, but as soon as we unpacked the door dropped off and couldn't be put together, i needed urgently as we are in our 80's and i use it more than the electric oven. I always read what the customers write about the product i want, in this case I didn't maybe because i had my last Panasonic over 8 yrs, Big mistake, only after i had returned it, i read how many people had the doors falling off, and returned too. Please take it off the market, this beautiful microwave has a enormous fault. so sad...had to buy another make urgently. Julie David

Will happily recommend this oven
Love love this microwave. Replaced my original Panasonic oven which I had had for 15 years. The only thing I would like to change would be clearer controls as I have to use my glasses to read them. My previous oven has black figures on white. Other than that I am happy with it.

Condensation inside oven door.
I have had 2 of these and both have had condensation inside the oven doors. It builds up on the left hand side. I can only assume faulty seals. Such a shame as loved the microwave however both had the same fault so wasn’t prepared to try a third. What a pity.

Countertop only and quality of door questionable
I ordered one of these, to find on delivery that the door was not aligned where it should be. I then followed the return process and requested a replacement. As we all do, the odd review that states the worse that could happen, we put down to a manufacturing fault, and that's what I thought when I read the review of the door falling off. Well, we opened the box, lifted the microwave out and the door came away from the top hinge. Needless to say it was returned and we purchased a microwave locally. Also, this is for countertop use only, not for placing in an enclosed space per the instructions.

Mala calidad de los equipos en este modelo
Salió una base de auricular defectuosa. Pensé que eran la pilas, luego el auricular y al final resultó ser la base. Me contacté con soporte de la marca para ver si solo era posible reemplazar la base defectuosa y no tener que devolver todos los equipos ya instalados. No fue posible. La hora y fecha se reseteó en 2 dias de uso. Cuando llaman, el ajuste de hora y fecha se resetea y se va al 1-1-21 a las 00 hrs cada vez que llaman. Hice devolución, antes de salgan más sopresas y vuelvo a comprar otros idénticos porque he usado anteriormente otros modelos de la marca y me han salido excelentes.

El sonido al contestar un Celular desde el teléfono siempre se escucha entrecortado
Lo tengo hace pocas semanas ... mi opinión tiene que ser relativa.
La función que permite contestar los celulares desde el teléfono no es del todo satisfactoria, hay interferencia y las voces se oyen entrecortadas.

Bueno analizando su función se observo que la comunicación (llamadas) que se hacen hacia otras personas se observa que es rápida la comunicación y efectuada hacia afuera con las llamadas efectuadas son efectivas y el medio de audio se escucha muy bien, la otra persona que se le a llama también escucha muy bien.
BATERIA no se diga se carga muy bien, si no está cargada se avisa que la batería esta baja o mal acomodada.

Great answering system. I have gotten this to replace, or upgrade, and older version. Main advantages:
1. Improved filtering of unwanted calls. We get over a dozen a day and this blocks up to 300 numbers but it can block a broad set of such numbers. Thus you can block all 1-8xx numbers and eliminate many of the incoming calls.
2. Blocking can be done with no ring. The system can be configured to not ring at all when a blocked number attempts to call.
3. Blocking is much easier than with the older system, just one button.
4. It is Bluetooth enabled and your cell phone can readily connect.
5. It is easy to upgrade since many of commands are similar and many are more easily accessed.
6. Quality of voice is good and otherwise it works well.

Liked everything about this cordless phone system, except the answering machine which would not record messages. Sent the system back, awaiting complete refund. I may try again once the refund goes through. Hopefully, it was just a bad unit from the factory.
Update 2020-01-11: Tried a second unit only to have the same problem - answering machine would not work. Did some more research and found that this answering machine will NOT answer/record messages from cell phones !!!!!
Very hard to believe, but it is very clearly stated on Page 83 of the user manual "The answering system does not answer or record calls from cellular lines." Unbelievable.
I suspect it also doesn't work with VOIP phones as well. Useless nowadays when probably 80%+ of calls are made from either cell phones or VOIP phones.
Lowering ratings to 1 star only because I can't select 0 stars.

We ditched our landline years ago but for several reasons decided to get a new one just for local calls. I have always preferred Panasonic phones so we got this set. It's way more than we need but nevertheless I find the handsets to be sturdy and durable. The batteries have good longevity at this stage and I do appreciate the low battery verbal notification, even if it didn't frighten me half to death when it made the announcement in the middle of the night. I haven't figured out how to adjust the volume of disable that particular feature so we are diligent about returning the phones to their charging stations every night before bed. Believe me, it's part of the bedtime routine, just like toothbrushing.
I don't use the other features so I won't comment. I imagine these will be the last phones we will need.

Complicated system. Handsets are really poorly designed. Pathetic really, for such a lovely machine. The rest is okay once you leave the 80 page instruction booklet aside and just go ahead, try everything -- it's much easier. This my second Panasonic cordless in a dozen years, so it wasn't a totally strange experience. There does seem to be some echo back which I haven't yet resolved, if it can be resolved. Annoyance. Otherwise, visually attractive set up in this model.

so, why does the base unit lose the date and time (and probably other options that I've set) when there is the briefest power failure? the handsets have batteries. they can't remember the time so the base unit can query one of them after a power failure?
and get this! there's no menu option on the base unit to set the time! you've got to press menu on any handset. then, you do NOT scroll through a list of options till you get to "date" or "time". Oh, no, you must remember the secret code #101 to get the date/time settings dialog.
here's what I'd say to these software engineers, no matter how good this hardware is:

Had the phone for seven months and the base unit voice message record system totally garbles the messages left by callers. Oddly enough if the message is played back from one of the hand sets it is intelligible. However completely unintelligible from the base unit. Will try Panasonic support but I may have to request a replacement. Will post later how that goes. Other then the garbling of messages the phone hand sets work fine.

Great price for so many quality features, like link to cells and room to block so many numbers, on a cordless phone.
The only problem we found is the low volume of the speakers for speaker phone use on the phones.
